Years ago, Dallas and Boy Steele (Dallas's then and current boyfriend) were persuaded to move from Texas to California by Sugar Daddy. Sugar Daddy fell for Dallas, wanted to marry Dallas, and wanted to dismiss Boy Steele. Dallas, ever loyal, insisted on a 3-way relationship and so Dallas Steele and Boy Steele moved to Palm Springs to live with Sugar Daddy.

By text message in late 2023, Sugar Daddy announced that he wanted to end the relationship and that he wanted the Steeles - Dallas and Boy - to vacate the home. For reasons that are not explained, the unhappy trio still observed the holidays , with at least one party featuring a very bitchy Dallas. Shortly after, Dallas and Boy found housing, possibly subsidized. Dallas and Boy were reduced to having one car. And Dallas tells the sad tale of driving Boy to the bus stop in Palm Springs so that Boy could commute to his job at Walmart, some distance away. This all followed devastating events earlier in 2023, including Dallas's dramatic personal bankruptcy and a devastating shoulder (?) injury. Also, living up to his name, Dale Savage cruelly savaged Dallas, who had complained about not being invited to appear at Hustlaball.

I'm still waiting for the musical version of these events, all of which are made completely public in Dallas's Facebook posts-cum-serial autobiography.

Unlike the many recent true-to-life origin stories about Beanie Babies and Flamin' Hot Cheetos, this work is entirely fictional, and based around an old joke from Seinfeld's standup career. There was no cutthroat competition to invent a toaster pastry. There was no scandal. Marjorie Post was real, but she didn't send a goon squad to beat up the pastry chefs of Battle Creek.

Carla Gugino has been tapped to play Hollywood screen legend Vivien Leigh in the forthcoming biopic “The Florist.”

The Channel 4 doc, titled 'Spacey Unmasked,' will feature interviews with several men about their experiences with the actor.

Max and ID have acquired U.S. rights to a Channel 4 documentary about Kevin Spacey.

The two-part doc, titled Spacey Unmasked, is billed as a “forensic look” at Spacey’s career and the allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct against him. Spacey was acquitted in July 2023 of nine charges in a U.K. criminal case against him.

The documentary will also include interviews with “multiple men unconnected to that case about their experiences with Kevin Spacey, almost all of whom have never spoken before,” along with other previously unseen archival footage and interviews with the actor.

Spacey, a two-time Oscar winner, faced nine criminal charges from four different men in his U.K. trial, ranging from unwanted touching to, according to testimony from one man, performing oral sex on the man while he was asleep. The charges stemmed from alleged acts that occurred from 2001 to 2013; Spacey was artistic director of London’s Old Vic Theatre from 2004-15.

Spacey Unmasked is set to air on Channel 4 in the U.K. on May 6 and 7. Premiere dates for the U.S. and other territories haven’t been announced yet. All3Media International is handling international sales of the documentary and struck a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery for rights to the United States (where it will stream on Max and air on ID’s cable channel) and several other countries.

We're told Britney has been spending a fortune and is in real danger of going broke. Our sources say she's been going to French Polynesia, staying at The Brando, and spending close to a million dollars each trip between private jets, hotels, staff, etc. She goes every month or 2. We're told she also goes to Hawaii almost monthly by herself, taking a private jet, staying in the Presidential Suite at the Four Seasons, and dropping $350k a trip.

"She cannot afford this. She had $60 million when the conservatorship ended, and she's now where the conservatorship started -- in danger of going broke" ... one source said.

They knew when I was ready to make my own way once I'd learned more fully and cleverly the charms of palaver and poise and a kind of performative southernness, some would even say it was - it is - a perversion of southernness because of my politics. But labeling it so just signals their own perverse contextualization of southernness to exclude my hero Fannie Lou Hamer to make way for hoop skirts and "how y'all?"s and honeyed accents that hide the sting of history. Henry and Andy helped me find a sense of home within my southern self when for so long what was within myself back home was what sent me into exile. Henry and Andy - exiled themselves to lives in NY - taught me that to have stayed back where we were raised would have been sentencing ourselves instead to an exile from ourselves. She includes her story about the ill-fated Cricket, she says, to illustrate her willingness, in politics as well as in South Dakota life, to do anything “difficult, messy and ugly” if it simply needs to be done.

By taking Cricket on a pheasant hunt with older dogs, Noem says, she hoped to calm the young dog down and begin to teach her how to behave. Unfortunately, Cricket ruined the hunt, going “out of her mind with excitement, chasing all those birds and having the time of her life”.

Noem describes calling Cricket, then using an electronic collar to attempt to bring her under control. Nothing worked. Then, on the way home after the hunt, as Noem stopped to talk to a local family, Cricket escaped Noem’s truck and attacked the family’s chickens, “grabb[ing] one chicken at a time, crunching it to death with one bite, then dropping it to attack another”

When Noem finally grabbed Cricket, she says, the dog “whipped around to bite me”. Then, as the chickens’ owner wept, Noem repeatedly apologised, wrote the shocked family a check “for the price they asked, and helped them dispose of the carcasses littering the scene of the crime”.

Through it all, Noem says, Cricket was “the picture of pure joy”.

“I hated that dog,” Noem writes, adding that Cricket had proved herself “untrainable”, “dangerous to anyone she came in contact with” and “less than worthless … as a hunting dog”.

“At that moment,” Noem says, “I realised I had to put her down.”

Noem, who also represented her state in Congress for eight years, got her gun, then led Cricket to a gravel pit.

“It was not a pleasant job,” she writes, “but it had to be done. And after it was over, I realised another unpleasant job needed to be done.”

Incredibly, Noem’s tale of slaughter is not finished.

Her family, she writes, also owned a male goat that was “nasty and mean”, because it had not been castrated. Furthermore, the goat smelled “disgusting, musky, rancid” and “loved to chase” Noem’s children, knocking them down and ruining their clothes

Noem decided to kill the unnamed goat the same way she had just killed Cricket the dog. But though she “dragged him to a gravel pit”, the goat jumped as she shot and therefore survived the wound. Noem says she went back to her truck, retrieved another shell, then “hurried back to the gravel pit and put him down”.

At that point, Noem writes, she realised a construction crew had watched her kill both animals. The startled workers swiftly got back to work, she writes, only for a school bus to arrive and drop off Noem’s children.

“Kennedy looked around confused,” Noem writes of her daughter, who asked: “Hey, where’s Cricket?”

They had a 9:30pm showing tonight at my local theatre, so I went to see it because it’s an 80s low budget horror filmed in NYC, and I’ve never watched it. Omg it’s disgusting. I really got grossed out numerous times while watching. It’s pure 80s sleazy horror, which is usually fun but I didn’t find this one fun (although from what I’ve read online, many do).

I will say it held my interest from start to finish and was interesting, but GROSS.

Alexander was recorded interrogating James Juanillo, who was stenciling “Black Lives Matter” on a wall outside of his Pacific Heights home in June 2020. She immediately received public backlash when the video went viral.

While she apologized to Juanillo shortly after the confrontation, Alexander appeared on “Dr. Phil Primetime” earlier this month to defend her actions.

The video, which garnered more than 13 million views on social media, shows Alexander and her friend Robert Larkins approaching Juanillo as he was stenciling.

Soon after, Alexander was labeled a “Karen,” a term that refers to a white woman who acts entitled when interacting with people of color (Juanillo is Filipino). Amid the drama, LaFace was dropped from Birchbox’s subscription boxes and Larkins was fired from his job at the financial firm Raymond James.

Juanillo was invited to speak with McGraw in an episode of “Dr. Phil” that aired in November 2020 to discuss “Karens” and racism in the U.S. He has since moved out of the Pacific Heights home but still lives in the city.

Juanillo told the Chronicle he was aware of Alexander’s interview before it aired, and said that producers reached out to him asking for permission to use the video he had taken of the encounter. “I was very disappointed that they didn’t air the video of the incident from that day, y’know, so that speaks for itself,” he said. “Instead they constructed a narrative that was contradictory to what actually happened that day. … I was fairly disgusted to see it.”

In the interview, Alexander recounted the conflict, claiming she didn’t see what Juanillo was writing when she approached him. She also said she returned to Juanillo’s home the following day with an apology letter in an attempt to make amends. When she was unable to speak with him in person, she issued a public statement.

“When I watch the video I am shocked and sad that I behaved the way I did,” she wrote in the 2020 statement. “It was disrespectful to Mr. Juanillo and I am deeply sorry for that.”

McGraw weighed in on the situation on his show, noting that he didn’t think Alexander’s apology was necessary.

“What are you apologizing for? … If there was a misunderstanding, it was not on her part and I think that apology got used against her,” he said.

Evan Nierman, founder and CEO of Red Banyan Crisis Management Firm and Alexander’s public relations representative, chimed in on the conversation from the audience, agreeing with McGraw.

Alexander’s side of the story was first recounted in Nierman’s 2023 book, “The Cancel Culture Curse.”

The incident continues to negatively impact her life, Alexander said. She told McGraw that she was scared to go outside after the video went viral, claiming that strangers went to her home with baseball bats and shotguns.

“My identity, my integrity, my personality and my career was completely stolen from me because someone else decided who I was and what I was saying,” Alexander said during a prerecorded segment of the episode.

Juanillo said that he has also received threats of violence since the incident, and is ultimately disheartened by the way both Alexander and McGraw ignored the contents of the video in their discussion.

“What you saw on video, it was true. That’s really her revealing herself to the world for two minutes,” Juanillo said. “The only thing I did was share that with the world.”

Dan Schneider Files Defamation Suit Against 'Quiet On Set' Producers “‘Quiet on Set’s’ portrayal of Schneider is a hit job,” the lawsuit reads. By Taiyler S. Mitchell May 1, 2024,

Kids television producer-screenwriter Dan Schneider is suing the producers behind “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” a docuseries about the alleged abuse of child actors on several Nickelodeon shows.

The suit — the defendants in which include Warner Bros. Discovery, Maxine Productions, Sony Pictures Television and others — was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, more than a month after the docuseries aired on March 17.

“‘Quiet on Set’s’ portrayal of Schneider is a hit job,” the lawsuit, which was obtained by HuffPost, reads. Schneider’s suit seeks financial compensation and to remove or edit parts of the series and the trailer.

Schneider, 58, is known for numerous Nick hits including “All That,” “iCarly,” “Victorious,” “Drake & Josh,” “The Amanda Show,” “Zoey 101″ and “Kenan and Kel.”

He did not appear in the five-part series, but several former child actors shared their experiences on the sets of some of these shows. The series also showed imagery of Schneider cozied up with some of the young female actors on set and several other clips that appeared to show young actresses feeling uncomfortable in his presence.

Subjects in “Quiet on Set” also described Nickelodeon as a workplace that was hostile and discriminatory against women. Sources on the show said that Schneider frequently required the women on set to massage him.

Nickelodeon reportedly cut ties with Schneider in 2018. The company had investigated Schneider for “alleged sexual behavior,” but found only that he had been verbally abusive to employees, according to Business Insider.

“Schneider will be the first to admit that some of what they said is true,” the lawsuit reads. “At times, he was blind to the pain that some of his behaviors caused certain colleagues, subordinates, and cast members. He will regret and atone for this behavior the rest of his life. But one thing he is not — and the one thing that will forever mar his reputation and career both past and present — is a child sexual abuser" In the series, Drake Bell, who starred in Schneider’s “The Amanda Show” and “Drake & Josh,” recounted being sexually abused by Brian Peck, Bell’s dialogue coach.

Several of the former child actors also recalled being forced to participate in scenes that imitate uncomfortable and/or sexual situations under the guise of comedy.

In a statement to HuffPost, Schneider said that the series “highlighted mistakes I made and poor judgment I exhibited during my time at Nickelodeon. ... There is no doubt that I was sometimes a bad leader. I am sincerely apologetic and regretful for that behavior, and I will continue to take accountability for it.”

But Schneider and his lawyers argue the documentary conflates his own misconduct with the child sexual abuse detailed by Bell and others.

“In their successful attempt to mislead viewers and increase ratings, they went beyond reporting the truth and falsely implied that I was involved in or facilitated horrific crimes for which actual child predators have been prosecuted and convicted,” he continued. “I have no objection to anyone highlighting my failures as a boss, but it is wrong to mislead millions of people to the false conclusion that I was in any way involved in heinous acts like those committed by child predators.”

Rewatched “Invaders from Mars” last night — the first rewatch since the early 80s and the advent of home video, when I had rented it from New Video in the Village. (Anyone remember New Video?)

It was the first major sci fi film shot in color, released before War of the Worlds (there was a major race between the two productions).

The picture holds up pretty well as a boy in danger narrative in the first half, but ebbs a bit as the military gets involved and becomes a by the numbers action pic (with some 50s “are they subversives?” paranoia thrown in for good measure).

Jimmy Hunt and Helena (not Bonham) Carter are great in the picture. It was Carter’s first role as anything other than the lead’s smart girlfriend, the role she’s best known for, and her last picture. Carter is ravishing in her white shunt and stylish heels — wardrobe by “Norma” — but the look is tarnished a bit by her absurdly large decorative pocket kerchief. The set designs are gorgeous, and the approach to the invasion landing site — a fenced path leading to some sand dunes — is iconic in 50s horror.

Of course some things are dated and unintentionally hilarious. The aliens are a complete hoot — the lead looks like the great gazoo trapped in a goldfish bowl, and his mooks are big guys in furry green suits endlessly galumphing along corridors in the set. And because “the military is called in,” this being the 50s, endless stock footage of US tank destroyers is shown, both M10s and White M3 75mm Gun Motor Carriages. As these blaze away, the aliens ask Carter, “what are they doing up there?” — and I can’t help but wonder that myself, because the alien spaceship has burrowed deep underground.

The American film’s original ending has a fascinating “it was all a dream, but the dream is becoming a reality” twist. When released in the UK, the British distributor hated that, and reshoots were done with a simple and satisfying happy end conclusion.

Ever seen Invaders from Mars? Thoughts? By the way I don’t mean the crass 80s remake.

I have a relative who is usually very stoic and easy going. Rarely shows emotion, happy or sad, but is neutral most of the time.

However, he once told me about a ghostly encounter he had in his early twenties. He was riding his bike along an isolated stretch of countryside. Michael Moore has sent a warning to President Joe Biden, saying his chance of losing the election in November is “so great” due to the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

That same year Aaron Spelling met him and cast him as Detective Ricardo Torres on Sunset Beach, which would premiere in 1997. The soap ran for 3 years but was a cult hit in the UK and big hit in places like Russia and Poland.

In the early 00s he gained a passion for art and began painting, even getting a studio space in LA to do so, and Gallery representation on Melrose Ave.

In 2006 he returned to acting in a show called “Saints & Sinners”, which ran for 62 episodes. In 2009/2010 he had a recurring role as Austin Buttercup in HBO’s Big Love. After that he had big guest starring roles on Sons of Anarchy and Criminal Minds. In 2014 he was cast in a recurring role for Longmire and cast in an episode of The Morning Show in 2019.

About 20 minutes later, after chatting to a sweet twink I did not fancy, but he fancied me....I went back into the cruising area....then I was asked to leave the CRUISE club.... cos I assaulted 2 guys. Now, I didn't so much as get a kiss in this club...I did grab a guys dick, he was naked, in front of me, and it took me ages to get the courage to grab his cock...lots of guys grabbed it b4 me; he pushed me away as I wasnt his type obviously. I had a kaolin clay immersion program as part of therapy for a spine injury and chronic nerve damage. That said, it felt great and I think it really was helpful - something about the clay keeping a more even warm temperature than water and I think it really helped me get over an important stage of recovery.

Two boaters seen on a viral video dumping trash into the ocean off Florida are minors, and charges against them are imminent, a state official said Thursday.

Attorneys for the juveniles have advised them not to cooperate with investigators, said Maj. Dustin Bonds, a south region commander with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, or FWC.

The agency is working with prosecutors in Palm Beach County's state attorney's office to determine the appropriate charge, Bonds said.

The weight of the garbage that was dumped Sunday into the Boca Inlet could affect the charges, Bonds said.

Bonds said he was in disbelief as he watched the video because he has never seen anyone dump trash into the ocean.

"I was shocked that folks that are enjoying our waterways, just like the hundreds of boaters in Boca that day were doing, but this one boat decided that it was OK to dump two trash cans overboard," he said.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s GDPNow tracker now predicts that second-quarter GDP will contract by 1%. That’s quite the dip from the tracker’s early June prediction for an increase of 1.3% in the second quarter.

And that is only going to happen if there’s a two-way race between me and President Trump or me and President Biden.”

The poll would measure the likelihood both of Kennedy defeating Trump, 77, in a head-to-head race and Biden, 81, repeating his 2020 victory over his Republican rival.

The Democratic National Committee quickly pooh-poohed the proposal from Kennedy, claiming he was there as a Trump ally.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr is a spoiler- recruited by the MAGA GOP and propped up by Trump’s largest donor. His ‘Veep’-like performance today does nothing to dispel that notion- it only reinforces how deeply unserious his campaign is,” DNC spokesperson Matt Corridoni told The Post in a statement.

Does anyone remember the 90’s Comedy Central show called “Strangers with Candy?” It features Amy Sedaris as the troubled lead character (“Geri Blank”) and features a very young Stephen Colbert playing a high school teacher (“Mr. Noblet”). The premise is that Geri fell into a life of crime as a high school student and spent ~30 years of hard time. Now, at age 46, she returns back to the same high school and is treated like any other high school student (even though she uses foul language, tells racist and sexist drugs, and frequently talks about giving somebody the shiv, etc.

It is a send up of the bullshit hassles of high school, and is a mockery of after-school specials. For those unfamiliar with those, they were very preachy situation dramas (such as bullying of a new student, or an alcoholic parent, or discovering one’s aunt can’t read, etc.) capped off with a trite, moralistic conclusion. You can watch it on Comedy Central or Paramount+.

It could never be made today because of its frequently sexist, homophobic, and racist comments, and outrageous situations (such as Geri selling a baby on the black market). However, it is a comedy. I find it hysterically funny. It delivered excellent performance from all the staff, but Colbert is notable because he co-created the show and wrote many episodes and frequently does musical dance numbers.

South Dakota governor and Republican vice presidential contender Kristi Noem on Friday responded to a news report about a section of her forthcoming book where she describes killing her 14-month-old dog.

“We love animals, but tough decisions like this happen all the time on a farm,” she said in a post to X above a headline from The Guardian, which obtained a copy of Noem's upcoming book, “No Going Back.”

The Guardian's article describes a section of Noem's book, set for release next month, in which she recounted shooting her dog after deciding it was “less than worthless” and “untrainable.”

In her account, Noem grabbed her gun and led the dog, named Cricket, to a gravel pit.

“It was not a pleasant job, but it had to be done. And after it was over, I realized another unpleasant job needed to be done,” Noem wrote.

She then went on to kill a family goat, which she called “nasty and mean.” Noem also led the goat to a gravel pit, where she said her first shot wounded but did not kill the animal. She got another shell for her gun and killed the goat, according to the book.

A family is pleading for answers in the search for a University of Missouri student who has been missing since Friday after he left a bar in Nashville, Tennessee.

Riley Strain, 22, a senior, was last seen Friday night by friends at a bar in Nashville’s bustling Broadway area, known for nightlife, Nashville police said.

He was visiting town with his Delta Chi fraternity brothers for their spring formal, the St. Louis-Post Dispatch reported, but they got separated after he was asked to leave country singer Luke Bryan's bar, Luke’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink, his family told NBC affiliate WSMV of Nashville.

“At approximately 9:45 p.m., he was asked to leave Luke Bryan’s bar,” Strain’s stepfather, Chris Whiteid, told the station. “They got separated. The boys called him, and he said, 'I’m walking back to my hotel.' They didn’t think anything about it.”

When his friends returned to Tempo Hotel, about a half-mile away, they saw Strain’s room key but no sign of him. When they tried to call him, his phone was dead.

The young men went out to search for him, checked his Snapchat locations, and they went through the other fraternity brothers’ rooms but did not find him, so they called his parents.

Whiteid, along with his wife, Michelle Whiteid, traveled from Springfield, Missouri, to Nashville to search for him.

“We talk every day, multiple times a day,” Michelle Whiteid said. “This is the longest I’ve ever gone without talking to him.”

“We’re in a bad dream. Can we wake up? Please, just let us wake up,” her husband told WSMV.

Chris Whiteid told the Post-Dispatch that according to security video, it appeared that Strain was heading back to the hotel but took a wrong turn. It's not clear where the video was from.

Searches took place Monday, including a helicopter search of Gay Street, the area where Strain was last seen, the riverbank and a ground search, “but to no avail,” police said.

On Tuesday, police shared security video showing Strain, wearing a two-tone shirt, crossing 1st Avenue North to Gay Street at 9:47 p.m. Friday. That cross-section is about 0.7 miles from the bar he was at earlier.

TC Restaurant Group, the operator and owner of Luke’s 32 Bridge, said it, too, was working with police to provide security camera video and other potentially helpful information to aid in the search.

Strain is described as 6-foot-5 with a thin build, blue eyes and light brown hair.

Columbia University faculty say they are “horrified” by Tuesday night’s arrests of students by New York police following the occupation of an academic building, Hamilton Hall, by students protesting for the university to divest from Israel.

I can’t believe I have to explain what’s happening here, but here goes. Elite students of Ivy League schools have glamorized oppression so much that they have now reached role play status to satisfy their fantasies. Here, the students have appropriated the suffering of Gazans and are cosplaying as living through humanitarian crisis. In their American make-believe story where Ivy League infrastructure sets the scene, the students play Gazans and the school administration plays Israel.

Israel (the school) is blocking their “basic humanitarian aid” in this play, and if they don’t receive it soon, they will “die of thirst and starvation” (appropriating exact experiences of Gazans). They also destroy upper class buildings and claim them as “liberated” while the students repeat chants in zombie-like chorus, playing the roll of “freedom fighters” destroying Israeli infrastructure and claiming them freed. If I’m alive in a world where people don’t see the levels of perversion in this, I give up.

You don’t see this in lower tier schools from kids of lower socio-economic standing because they aren’t plagued with the guilt of privilege that they’re seeking to launder through Middle East role plays of feigned suffering. This is as first world dystopia as it gets.

Meanwhile, these Ivy League students who can have much more than a glass of water and as much food as their stomachs can take are commanding the attention of the media and the entire American audience, while actual Gazans who need humanitarian aid are ignored. The New York City Police Department released a video showing a professional "protest consultant" who was seen on other social media videos instructing a mob of anti-Israel agitators as they took over Hamilton Hall at Columbia University overnight Monday.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams spoke about outside agitators during a press conference Tuesday evening.

"What should have been a peaceful protest, it has basically been co-opted by professional outside agitators. We were extremely cautious about releasing our intel information because our goal was to ensure the safety of the students, the faculty, and without destruction to property," Adams said. "We have sounded the alarm several times before about external actors who attempted to hijack this private protest."

Adams and members of his administration shared information about the outside actors who were creating "serious public safety issues" at the protests.

"These external actors are obviously not students, and their presence on campus is a violation of Columbia’s clearly stated policy," Adams said. "This group…is an outside agitator with a history of escalating a situation and trying to create chaos. It is our belief they are now actively co-opting what should be a peaceful gathering. This is to serve their own agenda. They are not here to promote peace or unity or allow a peaceful display of one's voice. They are here to create discord and divisiveness."

The mayor urged anyone involved to walk away "now."

During the press conference, police said some of the outside agitators have been known to the NYPD for years, adding that they have seen an escalation in tactics police believe are the result of guidance from outside agitators.

For example, police are seeing barricades being made out of furniture, cameras being destroyed, de-arresting tactics, property destruction, and signs being used to fortify and create shields.

Police said even though the tactics really became exposed last night at Columbia University, they expect it will continue across universities in New York City and across the country.

After midnight Tuesday, Fithian was seen on video instructing a mob of anti-Israel agitators as they took over an academic building at Columbia University.

"Some of the people involved are being paid money," Stoll said, explaining he authored an article for The Wall Street Journal recently about how these groups are advertising for fellows to be paid $3,000 to work eight hours a week for three months, on campuses across the U.S. "Some of the people who have been quite prominently in these protests have been paid fellows with hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Soros Open Society Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.

"So, there’s big money behind these protests," Stoll added.

He also spoke about how many of the people at the anti-Israel protests taking place at campuses like Columbia University are the same people who attend Black Lives Matter protests, as well as anti-Trump protests.

He compared it to people who go out on weekends to play sports or go to religious services.

From MY SPACE in the early 2000s to the more recent GOOGLE+ : what happened to these social media platforms ? Tell us your stories - which platforms did you use before they went kerplunk ?

There was a point midway into the movie where I thought to myself, “this movie is fucking awesome”, and it is, for the most part.

The writing is strong and “tightly knitted”, as I like to call it. There aren’t tons of subplots etc like can happen with movies like this. There is one focus and the film remains focused on that from start to end, and that is these 3 character’s relationship.

Zendaya is a fucking force. I think she’s talented but she surprised me in this. She is manipulative and a boss bitch and bodyslams the role. Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor are both amazing as Art and Patrick, and their chemistry is off the charts. I personally LOVED Josh as Patrick. He was soooo good as the no-good asshole who women still feel drawn to, but he’s the guy you fuck, not marry. Art is the opposite. Very boring for Tashi and her lapdog, as opposed to Patrick who she gets into arguments with and goes head to head with her, which seems to turn her on. The score is brilliant. It’s a character of its own in this film.

The film is fun and energetic. There is so much energy you can feel it.

There is a scene where we finally meet Tashi in the past (the first time the boys see her play in person) that got me excited. When she walks out music starts bumping and it’s pure energy. Zendaya looked so beautiful in this. There are a few salacious scenes and some people in the theater reacted. You could hear “omg Zendaya!” like people were genuinely shocked to see her straddling a man. It was funny but makes sense as she has such a clean image and always plays teens.

There are two moments I disliked, one being the way the film ended. Just no. And two, the scene with Tashi and Patrick in the wind storm. I thought the scene was cool until it went all weird. But besides that, amazing.

There are a lot of homoerotic undertones in this from early in the film and I don’t see many straight men liking this unless with their girlfriends or cinephiles. That’s one of the things I liked about the film too. You could feel that atmosphere without actually seeing anything like that happen. It was interesting.

Honestly, I would give it a 4/5. It’s awesome but that ending was a no for me and it started to become too stylistic toward the end.
