Blind Item!- William & Kate get first invited to Met Gala; Harry & Meghan only get invite once the others decline

“ There was talk late last year that the editor was doing her best to try and get the heir and his wife to her May gala. Apparently, she has extended a permanent invitation to the couple which would seemingly permanently ban the alliterate one and her husband until the former had officially said no each year.”

Ooh, party with the Kardashians, how classy 🙄

by Anonymousreply 1May 3, 2024 11:08 PM

Duh.

by Anonymousreply 2May 3, 2024 11:20 PM

Well they don’t r1. They don’t ever accept the invite.

Breaking News: The Royals are not celebrities even though they get worldwide media coverage. They don't go to dress-up parties like the Met Gala because they do not promote themselves, they promote causes and initiatives.

by Anonymousreply 4May 4, 2024 12:40 AM

Except of course for 'the Duke and Duchess of Sussex' who would kill to be celebrities, bwaahahahahaha. Losers.

by Anonymousreply 5May 4, 2024 12:42 AM

R4 whether they’re celebs or not doesn’t mean they don’t get invites to celeb events. They do.

by Anonymousreply 6May 4, 2024 12:47 AM

They certainly wouldn't be getting invites to the likes of the Met Gala if someone wasn't confused between the notions of 'celebrity' and 'in service to'.

by Anonymousreply 7May 4, 2024 1:04 AM

R7 ummm they very much would get invites to the Met Gala. This has been known for years. Retard.

by Anonymousreply 8May 4, 2024 1:07 AM

you do you r8, you do you

by Anonymousreply 9May 4, 2024 1:11 AM

R7 Princess Diana, Princess Beatrice, Queen Rania of Jordan all went to the Met Gala at some point. Some royals get invites. Most just don’t go.

Smegs neglected to send Anna a basket of jam and lemons.

R4 their own mother attended in 1996. William and Kate are certainly getting invites. Harry and Meghan, not sure.

by Anonymousreply 13May 8, 2024 7:09 PM

At R12, I'm guessing that was the era of the Calvin Klein slip dress ('90s).

by Anonymousreply 14May 8, 2024 9:39 PM

Oh, naughty 😈 but fun!

by Anonymousreply 15May 8, 2024 9:44 PM

Diana only went once she became a has-been royal and full/time celebrity.

by Anonymousreply 16May 8, 2024 10:06 PM

Oh please. Fuck off.

by Anonymousreply 17May 8, 2024 10:07 PM

R12, it was. However even though Galliano for Dior produced some exquisite clothes, that gown wasn't one of them. The straps needed to be further apart for a start.

by Anonymousreply 18May 8, 2024 10:35 PM

Yeah, the straps were too close together.
