Got tickets to see Who's Afraid of Virginia Woof? @ the Geffen...

with Calista Flockhart and Zach Quinto. Should be interesting.

After I got the tickets, I saw that Graham Phillips, who plays hot-ass, rich frat boy Nick on Riverdale is playing Nick. That will be fun, though I really can't picture it.

Calista F is an anorexic. I hope she eats something during the run, because Martha’s a draining role to perform for weeks. (Even for one week.)

I liked Calista Flockhart playing Nora in A Doll’s House in LA THEATRE WORKS radio.

I thought of going to see it. From pictures I've seen, it looks like a contemporary setting? Which would be interesting.

Edward Albee would not allow a Black Nick. I am surprised a Spicy Latina Honey slipped through the cracks.

I do not bray!

by Anonymousreply 6April 29, 2022 4:58 AM

If the play doesn’t star someone from my ethnic group, I refuse to watch it! And there’s no way i can relate to it!

Wasn't Soleil Moon Frye available?

by Anonymousreply 8April 29, 2022 5:36 AM

Why pay good money to hear mediocre performers shouting at each other for 3 hours?

by Anonymousreply 9April 29, 2022 6:04 AM

"Calista (flockhart)"

It sounds like some sinister pharmaceutical product.

I saw it with Kathleen Turner and Bill Irwin. Good casting. Cannot say the same about Calista Flockhart with her tinny little voice.

by Anonymousreply 11April 29, 2022 8:34 AM

R11 I saw it with Turner too. 10 years earlier I'd seen her in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. QUITE a difference.

by Anonymousreply 12April 29, 2022 9:20 AM

Is Calista playing his mother?

by Anonymousreply 13April 29, 2022 9:23 AM

Graham Phillips? Didn't he present dong in some short clips a while ago? He's hot though.

by Anonymousreply 14April 29, 2022 9:32 AM

I’d like to see Judy Davis as Martha.

by Anonymousreply 15April 29, 2022 2:26 PM

R14 Did he? I gotta see that!

I saw Imelda Staunton and Conleth Hill. I think it was one of the productions that was filmed and shown in cinemas.

Imelda was EXHAUSTED at the end, physically and emotionally. She could barely stand for the standing ovations.

I'd love to see Chrissie Metz as Martha.

“I'd love to see Chrissie Metz as Martha.“

I'd love to see Chrissie Metz eat Martha.

by Anonymousreply 19May 2, 2024 1:09 AM

Ava gardner would have played a good Martha.

by Anonymousreply 20May 2, 2024 2:11 AM

M to N: You're certainly a flop is some departments.

by Anonymousreply 21May 2, 2024 2:15 AM

Virginia Woof sounds like some sort of bearded drag queen.
