David Dastmalchian

Talented actor and very handsome man. I had no idea he was a recovered heroin addict.

David Dalmation

[quote] David Dastmalchian, know for his acting roles in The Dark Knight and Ant-Man, tells the story of his drug addiction to a crowd of people during a recovery rally at the Kansas Statehouse in Topeka, Kan.

"Know[n] for"?

According to imdb, he played the role in "The Dark Knight" of "Joker's Thug."

We're going to have to agree to disagree on “very handsome man.”

by Anonymousreply 3April 21, 2024 4:21 AM

Very impressive and rare to meet a recovered heroin addict. Bravo.

by Anonymousreply 4April 21, 2024 5:19 AM

R4 will believe anything.

by Anonymousreply 5April 21, 2024 6:23 AM

He was in Oppenheimer. It's pretty impressive to go from homeless drug addict to starring in Christopher Nolan films.

by Anonymousreply 6April 21, 2024 7:39 AM

I had only seen him in "Prisoners" prior to watching "Late Night with the Devil". His character in "Prisoners" was creepy as fuck and he was scary in it. He has an unusual look about him that lends itself well toward offbeat or creepy characters, but I also found him strangely sexy in "Late Night with the Devil". Perhaps the charismatic energy was part of it. I saw it in the theater and often found my eyes wandering to his beefy thighs and ass in those khakis. Very hot body.

by Anonymousreply 7April 21, 2024 6:38 PM

He’s not THAT handsome.

by Anonymousreply 8April 21, 2024 7:39 PM

The demon in Late Night With the Devil kept referring to him as very handsome. That's a bit conceited.

by Anonymousreply 9April 21, 2024 8:16 PM

Considering that David was also a producer.

by Anonymousreply 10April 21, 2024 8:17 PM

I wouldn't say very.

by Anonymousreply 11April 21, 2024 8:33 PM

Agreed, OP. I've always thought he's cute.

"starring in"???

Oh, [italic]hon[/italic]...

by Anonymousreply 13April 22, 2024 1:23 AM

How does one pronounce his last name

by Anonymousreply 14April 22, 2024 1:26 AM

I wonder if he ever traded sex for drugs?

by Anonymousreply 15April 22, 2024 2:00 AM

I wouldn't say handsome. Interesting looks that can at times be attractive. He looks a bit like a young Harry Dean Stanton by way of John Cusack. I don't know if he ever worked with David Lynch but I can easily imagine him in any of Lynch's work.

by Anonymousreply 16April 22, 2024 2:21 AM

He did work with David Lynch, on the Twin Peaks revival.

And yeah, he’s pretty sexy.

by Anonymousreply 17April 22, 2024 3:23 AM

It's pronounced DUST-mal-chən. His father is Iranian.

by Anonymousreply 18April 22, 2024 4:45 AM

Now that's an Armenian last name.

by Anonymousreply 19April 22, 2024 5:05 AM

He should have changed his last name.

by Anonymousreply 20April 22, 2024 5:58 PM

Bump

by Anonymousreply 21April 24, 2024 10:32 PM

He’s Iranian.

by Anonymousreply 22April 25, 2024 11:01 PM

He should do a buddy film with Patrick Fischler, directed by David Lynch.

He was really good as MacGyvers arch enemy in the reboot.

by Anonymousreply 24April 26, 2024 2:37 AM

His star is really rising.

by Anonymousreply 25April 28, 2024 1:53 AM

He reminds me a bit of Christopher Lee.

He would be fantastic as the man in black in Mike Flanagan 's Dark Tower.

by Anonymousreply 29April 30, 2024 11:48 PM

The movie was just awful

by Anonymousreply 30May 1, 2024 2:37 AM

If I had that career - or that last name - I'd probably be on the junk, too.

by Anonymousreply 31May 1, 2024 3:10 AM

Too bad he wasn't cast as Randall Flagg in The Stand.

by Anonymousreply 32May 1, 2024 6:26 PM

bump
