Lockhart turned 99 this week. This clip came up when I searched her name.

It is very long so I won’t post it piece by piece.

My brother, 57, has had a lump on the outer left side of his chest, beside the nipple, for a couple of months. He told my parents and I this summer. He saw a doctor this month and on Monday found out he has cancer. Yesterday, he was told by the surgeon he’ll be having a mastectomy next month. All of this is coming as a shock. Cancer doesn’t run on either side of my family.

My brother has schizophrenia and has not had an easy life at times. He is such a kind person. He lives independently, but has many of the struggles a person with a serious mental illness has.

At this point, I’m praying this has not spread.

I’m not sure why I’m posting this. I guess I wanted to talk about it. I don’t post under my authenticated name often because people like to pile on, but I am today.

The horrific 1990 murder of a gay porn star has finally been solved, more than 30 years after Billy London's head and feet were found in a dumpster in West Hollywood, California. The rest of his body were never recovered.

The Los Angeles Times detailed the crack in the case, which had long gone cold.

Per the report, a confession came this year, after years of painstaking research from a team of internet sleuths including a stay-at home dad, a documentary filmmaker, a pair of podcast hosts -- one of whom is author Christopher Rice -- and two LAPD detectives.

Det. John Lamberti began looking into the case again recently -- while filmmaker Rachel Mason was working on a doc about the unsolved crime and Rice and cohost Eric Shaw Quinn were covering it on their The Dinner Party Show podcast.

While doing research for the podcast, Rice received a tip from someone who claimed they saw London -- real name Bill Newton -- leave a club the night of his murder with someone who looked like Jeffrey Dahmer. As he launched into his own investigation, Lamberti came across the podcast, telling the Times the Dahmer tip "caused me to crack open the file and look at it a little more deeply." Lamberti then began coordinating with Rice, Quinn and Newton's family on the investigation, sharing information.

Integral to the investigation, however, was stay-at-home dad Clark Williams, who reached out to Mason to simply provide some background to the filmmaker about what it could have been like for Billy growing up in Wisconsin, as he was from the same area.

Williams told TooFab their conversations "nurtured a growing obsession to study and investigate every single aspect of this case -- literally, to leave no stone unturned" and, per the LA Times, he started doing a "deep dive" on porn produced around the time of Newton's murder. During his research, he came across actor Billy Houston -- formerly known as Darrell Lynn Madden -- and headlines about how Madden, a white supremacist, pleaded guilty to the murder of another gay man in the 2000s.

"It was a coincidence that I just could not ignore," Williams told the Times, adding that he then found an interview Madden did for a book called "American Honor Killings" in which Madden apparently confessed to committing another murder in L.A. While the Dahmer tip didn't pan out -- Dahmer himself denied killing Newton while he was still alive -- Williams briefed Lamberti on his findings. With that, the detective and partner Tamara Momayez started looking into Madden.

I was shocked to read that Elias died yesterday. I didn’t know him from MMA, but from his season of The Amazing Race Canada. He and his girlfriend participated in season 3. They seemed to be a strong team, but he had to read a teleprompter as a newscaster for one of the roadblocks and struggled with the pronunciations due to his dyslexia. They were eliminated in the first leg. Poor guy.

Copco Lake, California (CNN) — Five friends' celebrated photo taken every five years at the same California lake is out for the world to see despite one man's recent cancer scare.

They took photo No. 9 on Wednesday, 40 years after they shot the first in 1982 at a prefabricated cabin at Copco Lake along the California-Oregon border. Their tradition went viral 10 years ago -- and again in 2017 -- when CNN.com published their story and photos.

Some of the guys openly feared it could be a photo of four friends this year instead of the five first pictured as teenagers.

"I was crushed," said John Dickson, who lives in Santa Barbara where the friends first met. "We worried there would be an empty spot on the bench where we take the picture."

Dallas Burney, seated in the middle of the series of photos that replicate the poses of the very first shot, told CNN he had a large cancerous tumor removed from his left leg in 2019.

"My cancer -- liposarcoma, I knew something was wrong for many months," said the elementary school teacher. "I was out of school for five months. I can't run anymore, but I sure can walk."

Burney walked with ease around Copco Lake on Tuesday evening with Dickson, Mark Rumer-Cleary, Jon Molony and their host, John "Wedge" Wardlaw.

They had not all been together since the last photo in 2017. Burney's cancer and the pandemic made reunions difficult.

So they gathered the night before the photo was taken for their other five-year tradition -- feasting on "Wedge" tacos.

Wardlaw stuffs meat into hard taco shells and pan fries them so hot, he wears a glove and safety glasses to protect against spatter.

The jokes flew.

"Salt is the main ingredient," laughed Wardlaw.

"We'll all be drinking water at midnight," said Molony.

"And #@$! the cardiologist," quipped Rumer-Cleary.

Two of the friends with a window view rose out of their seats.

"Bald eagle," they exclaimed.

The majestic bird, with its trademark white head, looped above the cabin, as if to lend the scene pomp and circumstance.

Other animal sightings on Tuesday included a bobcat, deer and cattle.

The friends, often talking in quick bursts over each other, pointed out Oregon was across the lake.

Former NBC and TBS late-night host Conan O’Brien has sold his podcast and digital media business Team Coco to the satellite radio giant SiriusXM.

The deal will see O’Brien’s popular interview podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, as well as Team Coco’s 10 other podcasts (which include a behind the scenes look at his late night shows called Inside Conan and a Parks and Recreation series hosted by Rob Lowe and Alan Yang called Parks and Recollection), join the SiriusXM podcast network.

As with other podcast deals, the shows will continue to be distributed on other popular podcasting platforms.

O’Brien, who signed a five-year talent deal with SiriusXM as part of the $150 million acquisition (valuation via the WSJ, which first reported the deal), will also produce a comedy channel for SiriusXM’s flagship radio service. The deal also includes some video content from his podcasts and late night show, as well as live events and merchandise. Team Coco’s staff will join SiriusXM as well.

Podcasts have become some of the hottest acquisition targets in Hollywood, with companies like Amazon, Spotify, Apple, and SiriusXM among the more aggressive buyers. Exclusive podcasts can drive subscribers to subscription-based platforms, and listeners to free platforms, with established properties (like O’Brien’s), also serving as platforms to build advertising businesses off of.

O’Brien has been a staple of late night TV since the early 1990’s, when he succeeded David Letterman as the host of NBC’s 12:30 AM program Late Night. He took over the network’s flagship late night program The Tonight Show in 2010, in something of a bungled transition from Jay Leno. O’Brien left the show (and the company) only 7 months later.

He would reemerge at TBS a year later, where he hosted a late night show called Conan until last year. He is in development on a sketch show for HBO Max. It was at TBS that O’Brien began exploring podcasts, leaning on his famous friends and TV show guests to sit down for longer conversations in audio form. His company had signed a first look deal with Amazon’s Audible in 2020.

“We are thrilled that Conan remains committed to producing his incredibly successful podcast and will now expand his role into executive producing an exclusive Team Coco radio channel for SiriusXM,” said Scott Greenstein, president and chief content officer of SiriusXM, in a statement. “Conan has built an amazing brand and organization at Team Coco with a proven track record of finding and launching compelling and addictive podcasts. We look forward to continuing to grow the Team Coco brand.”

He deserved a better career.

After having watched the “All in the Family” episode, Judging Books by Covers (1971), the then president talks at length about the show and homosexuality in general. It’s sad, funny and offensive all rolled into one. He screws up several details about the episode. I’ll post the episode he’s referring to. Definitely worth a listen.

I was googling the Keane brothers mentioned on the Forgotten Stars of the 70s and 80s thread, trying to find out where they are today. I was so impressed by the clip of them posted in that thread. Anyway, their names are Tom and John. I came across this article and realized pretty quickly that this isn’t the same Tom Keane. I ended up reading the whole article written by a different Tom Keane. It is heartbreaking and reinforced the struggles I know some of my family members are going through right now with 2 of my uncles. I realize it’s long, but it’s well worth reading.

During the the Covid-19 pandemic, several people had written me to remind me that it was the 15th anniversary of my movie "Adam & Steve". In light of current events, it seemed unimportant, most things seemed unimportant this last year, not just because so many people had died (including my father) but because I had suffered my own personal pandemic the year before. On June 3rd of 2019, I became homeless - a pipe burst in the ceiling of my two story condo in the Hollywood HIlls. It had been leaking on an off for the seven years I had lived there. When it finally came down, all of my furniture downstairs was ruined, covered in debris. The workers discovered that there was very bad loose asbestos in the air ducts. They selaed up the vents with blue tape and rather than put me and Olive in a hotel for the length of time it would take to clean the asbestos, I came home to an eviction notice on my door. I was four days late on rent and suddenly I was in an eviction lawsuit. Fearing for my health I settled out of court and got a place across the street - the easiest move ever - and hired movers to come the next day. The night before, my new landlord changed his mind. I suddenly had no where to go, so I had the movers put my things in storage in Hollywood. I looked at apartments for a few days and on the third day, I tripped in a 7-11 parking lot in Hollywood and my foot folded in half. It folded in half. My right big toe broke off of my foot. I couldnt walk or push the gas peddle and was stranded. I called some friends. No one called me back. I used my left foot to drive myself to the ER - they did an x-ray and told me that my foot was demolished and needed surgery and that I would need 4-6 weeks of bedrest. I looked at the doctor and said "I don't have a bed..."

I imagine many of you outside of Canada don’t know who Terry Fox was.

He was a young man with cancer, an amputee, who tried to run across Canada in 1980 to raise money for cancer research. I remember this well because it was a big deal at the time. I was 15 when he did his run.

It’s hard to believe he’s been gone 40 years. He is a true hero who has stayed in people’s memories all these years later.

(CNN). On June 5, 1981, a curious report appeared in the Center for Disease Control's weekly public health digest: Five young, gay men across Los Angeles had been diagnosed with an unusual lung infection known as Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP) -- and two of them had died.

It was the first time that acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) -- the devastating advanced-stage of HIV infection that would go on to claim the lives of more than 32 million people globally -- was reported in the US. Days after the initial report hit the newspapers, the CDC learned of many more such cases in gay men. Not only did those men have PCP, they also had other secondary infections, among them a rare and aggressive cancer known as Kaposi's sarcoma (KS).

About a month after that first report, the write-up in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report counted 26 gay men across New York and California with those diagnoses -- a number that would increase exponentially.

aturday marks the 40th anniversary of the nation's first reported cases of AIDS. More than 700,000 people in the US have died of the disease since then -- and though medical advancements have drastically changed the prognosis for HIV/AIDS patients, there remains to this day no cure.

Ronen Rubinstein was anxious for his family and friends back in his native Staten Island to watch the second episode of “9-1-1: Lone Star.” He told them he was playing Rob Lowe’s gay son on the Fox procedural, but he wasn’t sure what they’d think of the very steamy encounter between his character, T.K. Strand, and his future police officer boyfriend Carlos Reyes, played by openly gay actor Rafael L. Silva.

“Carlos and I have a huge make-out scene where we, like, burst through the door, and we’re ripping our clothes off,” Rubinstein says. “It’s super hot and it just goes on. It just doesn’t stop. We’re, like, crashing against the walls, and then we end up on the couch. I warned my parents and my friends for months. I said, ‘Listen, I understand if you guys don’t want to watch it, I understand you probably might say some really ignorant, close-minded stuff or you just might not want to watch it and I get that too.’ ” In the end, it didn’t matter what they thought because T.K. and Carlos were a hit. As soon as clips of the scene were released, fans of the drama series, produced by Ryan Murphy, crowned the couple “Tarlos.”

As much as the series is fiction, there was something very real happening for Rubinstein. The 27-year-old actor found himself coming to terms with and accepting feelings that he had suppressed for as long as he can remember.

“I fully identify as bisexual,” Rubinstein says in an exclusive interview over Zoom from his Los Angeles area home. “I literally just got goosebumps saying that. It feels so good to talk about it, it feels so good to finally be comfortable with it.”

Rubinstein called his awakening “a journey” that was enabled by his work as an actor.

“The biggest thing for me is where I come from, it’s like people like me and people who have identified as bisexual or gay or as any part of the community, you’re just not welcomed. It’s as brutally honest as that,” he says. “It’s either you faced insane amounts of profanity, like the F-word was thrown around all the time or you would get your ass kicked if you were gay. So there was definitely a fear of sort of embracing how I felt. I was definitely more aware of it in high school. I was aware of my feelings and how I started looking at men, but I couldn’t talk to anybody about it.”

“Tarlos” paved the way to today. “The fans, especially the Tarlos fans, it’s one of the biggest reasons that I finally felt safe and comfortable to talk about it and to finally embrace it and be happy about it,” Rubinstein says.

For support, he’s turned to “9-1-1” co-creator Murphy, Silva and, yes, his girlfriend Jessica Parker Kennedy.

“She’s actually one of the first people that sort of respectfully called me out on it,” Rubinstein says of Kennedy. “She’s like, ‘Is there something we need to talk about?’ And I said, ‘Maybe.’ I didn’t know how that conversation would go. And it went probably as good as it can go. She definitely encouraged me to be vocal about it, just to live my truth. She’s like, ‘I love you for who you are, your full self and people will love you for who you are and your full self.’”

His relationship with Kennedy hasn’t changed since coming out as bi. “She just sometimes jokes, ‘Just don’t leave me for Harry Styles,’” Rubinstein says with a smile.

Rubinstein says he approached me with the idea of coming out as bisexual in an interview with Variety because he wants to help queer youth who may be struggling. “I want people to know that this is a hopeful and a happy story,” he says. “I want people to know that they’re not alone and it’s definitely okay. Trust me, I know that it is not easy. My path has not been easy at all, but it’s just one more thing that I can share with people to help them and let them know that I’m here for them.”

This is close to where I live and we’ve been following the news closely. It was below freezing, he was soaking wet and had no food or water, of course.

After more than three days of being lost in the woods, OPP say they have found a missing three-year-old boy “alive and well.”

OPP announced that three-year-old Jude Leyton, who went missing in South Frontenac, Ont., off of Canoe Lake Road, was recovered Wednesday before 4 p.m.

OPP have been searching for the boy since Sunday around noon. In a tweet, OPP said one of their emergency response team officers found the boy.

Jude was found 980 metres away from the place he was last seen, Const. Curtis Dick told Global News in an interview. This came just about an hour after police said they were reducing the number of officers dedicated to the ground search.

Police believe the toddler wandered away from Bing Retreat Sunday, a property the Leyton family owns. Search and rescue teams have been scouring the woods and water nearby ever since.

OPP say Jude is in good condition but is being checked on by paramedics. Frontenac Paramedics took Jude to Kingston General Hospital Wednesday evening by ambulance.

“The South Dakota attorney general who said he thought he hit a deer with his car had the victim's glasses inside his car.

Newly released police interview videos show agents asking Jason Ravnsborg if he noticed them after the crash, explaining that the only way they could have got there is when Joseph Boever's head smashed through the windshield.

During the interviews, released by the state's Department of Public Safety on Tuesday, Ravnsborg insists he didn't notice them lying on his floorboard.

"They're Joe's glasses," the agent tells him. "So that means his face came through your windshield."

"That's a tough thing," Ravnsborg sighs, arguing that he didn't think anyone's head came through his windshield because there wasn't blood everywhere.

"We know that his face came through your windshield," the agent goes on. “We know that. We already talked about that. That's, I would think, substantially clear that that's what happened."

"We also have the imprint on the hood where his body, part of his body, likely was riding. At some point time he rolls off, takes out the mirror and slides into the ditch."

Ravnsborg continues to insist he never saw the victim until the next day, and never saw the glasses until the interviewer showed them to him.

Elsewhere in the interview, they tell the silent AG that they know Boever wasn't walking in the middle of the road, but on the verge, and that Ravnsborg had to have been driving in the shoulder.

Another person has died trying to take a selfie — this time by a person doing the exact same thing.

The tragic accident occurred near Kanakunda in Odisha, India, on January 3 when the woman, identified as Nirupama Prajapati, was trying to take a photo of herself near fast-flowing rapids on the river Ib.

The horrific video, shot by her friends, shows Prajapati had stood precariously on the edge of the turbulent waters as she attempted to capture a perfect shot.

But right behind her, a man clambered over the rocks trying to do the same — but lost his footing and slipped, knocking into her.

Prajapati's screams could be heard even above the roaring water as she teetered in; she managed to hold on for a moment before slipping beneath the gushing foam.

According to India Today, the fire department and her family searched the water for 22 hours until they eventually found her body in a stone crevice, almost 500 yards from where she fell in.

Selfie deaths are becoming an all-to-common phenomenon: just last month a mother-of-two was killed at a famous Australian beauty spot having ignored warning signs and climbing over a safety barrier, before slipping and falling over the 260ft cliff.

Heather Morris jumped into former "Glee" costar Kevin McHale's Twitter mentions on Thursday night to defend Mark Salling from a post she deemed "offensive."

Earlier in the day, McHale shared a fan's post celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the show's Season 2 episode "A Very Glee Christmas."

"Ten years ago today 'A Very Glee Christmas' aired," the fan wrote, along with a heart emoji. "Artie got his magic legs, we all fell in love with Coach Beiste, and Brittany reignited the magic of Christmas for everyone."

The Gleek also shared four photos from the episode, including one in which Salling's face was covered with an emoji of a smiley face vomiting. Salling pled guilty to possession of child pornography, but died by suicide in 2018 before his sentencing.

McHale retweeted the fan's post, adding, "This album goes hard tho." Two minutes after he shared it, Morris replied to his tweet, simply writing, "The vomit face on Mark's face is offensive."

While she didn't post anything else, her followers sure did, criticizing her for defending someone who was charged with possessing child pornography. Even the fan who posted the initial post responded to it with, "Oh dear lord Heather ... I don't regret the vomit emoji Heather."

McHale didn't say anything directly about her post, but did like a comment from one fan who wrote, "I agree that cancel culture is toxic in most cases, but in this one, there are just some things in life you simply don't do. And I hope anyone that feels like they need to do that gets the help that they need instead/before doing something that will impact lives beyond their own."

That comment was in response to another popular fan reaction to Morris' tweet, one which supported her.

"Mark was their friend & as messed up as his choices were, he was still a person with a family & people that loved him," it read. "Separating a person's behavior from who they are & still loving them, despite their shortcomings, is the mature thing to do. So yes, I agree with Hemo."

Other popular replies to Morris' post included, "i think being a pedophile is a bit more offensive than an emoji," "Offensive to the vomit" and "i know he was your friend, but he wasn't a good person, and you have kids, i can't believe you're being serious rn."

Morris has yet to respond to any of the criticism.

After facing backlash for her tweet, Heather Morris reacted on Twitter.

"I don't feel the need to ever justify something because somethings are better left unsaid," she wrote. "Y'all who have lots of things to say, I get it, I UNDERSTAND you ... somethings are unforgivable. But this holiday season, amongst ALL holiday seasons is INCREDIBLE [sic] hard for so many of us."

"We did not loose just 2 cast members, we lost 3," she continued. "And it is SO incredible tough to have to act like that 3rd one is invisible, because even though his actions are unjustifiable, he was a part of our family at one point and he was mentally SICK. Yes pedophelia is a sickness but..."

In a third tweet, she added, "Although I don't want to have to say all that, its truthful. So THANK YOU for treated me with such disrespect and unkindness during a time that I can't get through a day without balling my eyes out at the loss of my entire Glee family... thank you."

In addition to Salling, the "Glee" cast lost both Cory Monteith and Naya Rivera.

Australian Woman Dies Trying to Take Photo at Edge of 262-Foot Cliff

(CNN) — A woman in Australia fell off a cliff to her death on Saturday after trying to take a photo at the precarious location.

Rosy Loomba, 38, was with her husband and child when the accident occurred at Grampians National Park, in Australia's Victoria state, according to CNN affiliate Nine News. They were at Boroka Lookout, an overhang by the side of the cliff that has a panoramic view of the mountains and town below.

Police said Loomba climbed past safety barriers and warning signs, to pose on a rock for a photo when she tripped over the edge, falling more than 80 meters (about 262 feet) down the cliff face, according to Nine News.

Witnesses heard Loomba screaming, but were unable to help. Police and the state emergency service worked for six hours to scale the cliff and retrieve her body.

The viewing platform was closed throughout the afternoon during the retrieval process, but was reopened to the public by 10 p.m.

The lookout is a particularly popular photo spot; a quick search of the location tag on Instagram shows dozens of photos showing people at the cliffside, legs dangling over the edge, or balanced on a narrow rock near the edge. A few even filmed themselves doing backflips by the edge.

Local tour guide Graham Wood told Nine News he had warned his customers about the lookout just half an hour before Loomba's fall. "I made a comment to my customers, that this (people climbing over the barrier) happens all the time," he said. "And one of these days, someone's going to fall off. I'm sad that it's happened."

In the aftermath, authorities reminded the public to heed safety signs and guidelines, and that no photo is worth a person's life.

"We can't rope off every part of Victoria," said Police Minister Lisa Neville. "People have to take responsibility."

The Outfield singer, Tony Lewis, died at age 62. The group had a humongous hit in 1986 with “Your Love.” His cause of death wasn’t given.

Spencer Davis, founder of the iconic 60’s band The Spencer Davis Group, also died. He was 81 and suffered heart failure after battling pneumonia. They had many hits including “Gimme Some Lovin.”

I realize the vast majority of you won’t know Ben, but his storyline, like Ryan Phillippe’s on ONE LIFE TO LIVE in the early 90s, was groundbreaking television. This stud muffin was born June 30, 1970. He’s best known for his roles as Dusty on AS THE WORLD TURNS and Ronnie on OZ. He infamously shared a kiss with Chris Meloni in the prison drama. He’s pictured with Meloni, at left. Bloom does voiceover work for video games presently.

Did anyone else see it or parts of it? At over 4 hours long it included almost every character who was a main or supporting actor/actress on the show. Only Gale Harold and Thea Gill could not attend.

I think he really resembles his husband, Neil Patrick Harris, especially around the eyes. I never noticed it before.

AMC has set a premiere date for “The Walking Dead” spinoff series “The Walking Dead: World Beyond.”

The series will premiere Sunday, April 12 at 10/9c following “The Walking Dead” Season 10 finale. Subsequent episodes will air Sunday nights at 9/8c on AMC.

Here is AMC’s description for the spinoff:

“‘The Walking Dead: World Beyond’ expands the universe of The Walking Dead, delving into a new mythology and story that follows the first generation raised in a surviving civilization of the post-apocalyptic world. Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers, known and unknown, living and undead on an important quest. Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves and each other. (CNN)TV personality Mario Lopez has apologized for comments made during a recent podcast appearance in which he said it was "dangerous" for parents to allow their children to pick their gender identities at young ages.

"The comments I made were ignorant and insensitive, and I now have a deeper understanding of how hurtful they were," Lopez said in a statement to CNN. "I have been and always will be an ardent supporter of the LGBTQ community, and I am going to use this opportunity to better educate myself. Moving forward I will be more informed and thoughtful."

The former "Saved By the Bell" star made the remarks last week on a podcast hosted by conservative personality Candace Owens.

In the discussion, Owens brings up what she calls one of the "weird trends" of Hollywood parents allowing their children to pick their gender identity.

Though she is not a parent herself, Owens said "I nannied for five years of my life" and does not believe that children have the "mental authority" to make such decisions.

In response, Lopez asked Owens "please don't lump me into" the group of Hollywood parents of which she was speaking.

"I'm kind of blown away too," he said. "Look, I'm never one to tell anyone how to parent their kids, obviously, and I think if you come from a place of love, you really can't go wrong. But at the same time, my God, if you're 3 years old and you're saying you're feeling a certain way, or you think you're a boy or a girl, whatever the case may be, I just think it's dangerous as a parent to make that determination."

He added, "It's sort of alarming and, my gosh, I just think about the repercussions later on."

Lopez has three children.

"Queer Eye" star Karamo Brown was among those who took issue with Lopez's statement.

In a tweet, he said, "I'm disappointed to read @MarioLopezExtra comments about parent's who support their child's openes [sic] about their gender identity. As a social worker I am trained to identify abuse or neglect of a child. Healthy & safe dialogue w/ kids is neither abusive, neglectful or 'dangerous.'"

Lopez joined syndicated entertainment newsmagazine show "Access Hollywood" earlier this month after several years as a host for "Extra."

NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution, which distributes the show, did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment.
