Did anyone else see it or parts of it? At over 4 hours long it included almost every character who was a main or supporting actor/actress on the show. Only Gale Harold and Thea Gill could not attend.
So much time has gone by.

watching it on and off. It's kind of fun. Not sure why Gale Harold couldn't make it.

[quote] Only Gale Harold could not attend.
Then what's the point?

Michelle Clunie looks great.

I don't think it's that Gale Harold or Thea Gill couldn't attend (I mean, it's not like they're working) but it's probably more of a case that they didn't want to attend.
Gale is fairly introverted and I don't think he enjoys public appearances. While he has taken part in cast reunions over the years, he's usually fairly reserved a quiet. So I can understand why he might not enjoy doing a 'zoom' reunion.
Thea is also introverted, but I don't think that's the reason she didn't participate. There are rumors in the QAF 'frau community' that there is tension between her and other members of the QAF cast. Certainly, if you watch the 2018 Entertainment Weekly cast reunion (I've included the link) she seemed angry like she totally didn't want to be there.

yeah, I guess there's that kind of thing, r5, but damn, 20 years? Can't you get over some shit?

I honestly don't get "you offended me once. I must NEVER forgive you." just calm down. we are all dicks sometimes. we can all also calm down sometimes.

You don't know much about women, do you?

heh, and heh, was actually married to one once upon a time, r8. but it ain't just women. reminds me of a joke. Irish Alzheimers: You forget everything except the grudges.

I don't know about any conflict with Thea, but I think she's just a shy person. In interviews on the QAF DVDs, she comes across as a 'quiet artistic' type. But she does look very uncomfortable in the episode R5 posted. Sometimes shy people come across as being angry when in fact they're just serious and uncomfortable.
R6 Back when the show was in production, there was serious tension between Hal, Gale and Randy. Hal particularly didn't get along with Randy. However, they seem to have moved on and have attended several reunion events over the years. There was a period of time when both Gale and Randy wanted nothing to do with the show. One of the reasons the show ended by season 5 (despite the fact the cast had six year deals) was that Randy and Gale wanted out.

You all serious?
If the freaks who used to stalk Harold on Datalounge are any indication of what he would possibly be greeted with, I do not blame him for staying away. That was some scary ass stalking.
(And for those of you who are relatively new here, they made the Chalamet-Hammer freaks look like rank amateurs.)

More to the point, 20 years later, who cares? The show is cringeworthy watching it, now.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 5, 2020 11:52 PM |
I didn't see the reunion thing, but did the mention anything about the Queer as Folk reboot that bravo is working on?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 5, 2020 11:54 PM |
I never particularly cared for reunion shows anyway, but at least the ones in the past were somewhat written and produced.
I don't want to watch a bunch of old people on zoom for 4 unedited hours talking about a show they did decades ago without strong production (writing, directing, and MOST important, editing)

I've been re-watching QAF and have really rekindled my hatred for Michael. How could anyone liked him or trusted him?

Time flies. 20 years in the future, today’s young gay men will say the same thing: time flies. Time is not waiting for anyone

why the hell not r14? I think that's actually what I liked about this. Just reminiscing. It was kind of fun.
