I love this delectable one: Let's be a Harriet Tubman biopic starring Julia Roberts.
What is the BEST DL thread? At this moment? Or even ever?

Andy Cohen's asshole!

Canned frosting thread.

Best ever: "Not Without my Daughter," about the gay man with the fat daughter whom he suspected stole an entire can of frosting

R6 I' m terribly sorry I cannot oblige, as I don't know how. Retired luddite here. I'd gently suggest the search feature.

A prior thread when we had a similar retrospective, including links to favorite threads.

Maybe not the best, but it was a lot of fun for a few hours.

The pasta threads are always good for some al dente fun.

I like this one titled "Government Controlled Time", about daylight savings time. It parodies Libertarian ideas, though nobody seemed to realize that at first.

My favorite comment ever, about R15:
“This thread is like a good costume party. The morons, the trolls and the jokers are all mingling together and you can't tell them apart.”

Loved the thread where someone posted something along the lines of, "I'm thinking of a classical piece, it goes something like this: dung dun din ba ba. Anyone have a clue what it is?" And someone was able to figure out what the piece was.

I can’t comment on the thread, but best title was:
“Murderous Fattie on the Lam”

I can't find it now, but ten or so years ago, the contemptuous "Who Gives a Flying Fuck Is on TCM" was met with hundreds of improvisations on the Flying Fucks series of Hollywood films, their racially dissonant casting, and whether the 1940s versions were better than the early 60s remakes. It remains my sentimental favorite among DL threads.

Hands down - "Dialing the phone with a pencil"
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 14, 2020 5:19 PM |
OMG - R21 - that IS the greatest thread!!
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 14, 2020 5:21 PM |
"Let's Create a Jennifer Aniston Film" had some howlers. Much more creative than the recent Julia Roberts thread.

The soft butch sous chef aka face down/ass up.

OP I think your current thread is the best DL thread at this moment! All of the links are new to me and I'm LMAO!!
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 14, 2020 5:26 PM |
"My new neighbor is a Gargoyle" had its moments.

The funniest DL thread I ever read was the one about the guy who identified as a trans dragon. Unfortunately, it got deleted, but it was great while it lasted. "You type just-hatched."

Sows at the trough
[quote]Well, it is has happened again at our office: a sales rep came in with a shopping bag of bagels and cream cheese, and four or five of the heifer clerks that work here heaved their fat asses out of their chairs and huffed into that break room like it was the last food on earth! Never mind that they have no interaction with any of the vendors anyway and are in no position to discuss any type of business. But they sure can shove cream cheese into their fat pie holes!
[quote]Me? I sat sedately at my desk, sipping my black coffee, waiting for the rep to approach me. It is too embarassing to be in there with those rutting pigs.

"Who Gives a Flying Fuck? is on TCM right now.
The R2 response:
[quote]"Who Gives a Flying Fuck?"
[quote]Is this the original version or the remake made in 1962?
And was signed: "I liked the 1949 version better."

For historical purposes, the original World Trade Center thread, 9/11/2001.

All the recent Madonna hate threads like the one where she’s dancing on the beach on 2020 New Years and the looney Charmie threads before they became unbearable!
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 14, 2020 6:12 PM |
The thread about Jennifer homewrecker Aniston was unfunny and labored like everything she’s ever made.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 14, 2020 6:13 PM |
I wonder how many people who posted on that 9/11 thread are still on DL.
