I find it really exhausting to dig through hundreds of jargon-filled half-daydreamed replies when the question I have is "what's the gist of what she said?"

She claimed protestors had weapons and Trump knew, that he was shown gorilla documentaries (?,) and that he apparently needed to be restrained from crashing the presidential limo into the Capitol building like a Kamikaze.

With some quick googling using "weapons charge January 6th," "guns seized January 6th," etc. I've only found one rioter who was charged for a having a pistol on him during the riot. Guy Reddit.

I also pulled up this, which is an editorial from a law enforcement website claiming no guns were seized at all. It quotes an FBI statement supposedly from early March.

According to this "fact check," the FBI did not confiscate any guns on January 6th but it is unknown whether the Capitol or D.C. Police did. He also claims that two, count 'em TWO rioters have received weapons charges.

Why would this matter unless he was going to commit a crime of some kind with the limo?

Limited number of crimes you can commit with a vehicle, I just assumed it had to be something extreme like mowing people down with it. Otherwise, who gives a shit?

So… question to the group. I was under the impression that the assholes overran the Capitol, then were driven out, along with any firearms they had. Most, if not all of the arrests came later after they were already gone, and they were identified through social media, etc. That’s why no guns were confiscated. In an article for Newsweek, Nick Suplina and Justin Wagner of Everytown for Gun Safety said they had identified "12 individuals allegedly tied to the events of Jan. 6 who were arrested in Washington, D.C., and charged with firearms offenses."
