You linked to DeFacto’s thread ElderLez!!!

This is the psychotic troll’s thread. Please create a different one.

The other thread is still young-ish.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 24, 2022 1:47 PM |
I think that DeFacto and the OP of this thread are two different conservative gay men. I’d like to make sure all of the threads are linked, since there are many interesting comments on all of them.

Hmmmmmm

Well, we don’t need 2 threads on every hearing, no matter who starts them!

Blocking ElderLez now that she shows her support for gay Conservatives.

The last 7 posts are what kills a thread. It’s supposed to be about hearings. 😳
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 24, 2022 1:59 PM |
R10, the OP is anti-gay, anti-Biden, PRO-Republican!
Why support his thread which he uses to spread uncertainty and divisiveness?

by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 29, 2022 9:06 AM |
I found my own link.
I find it really exhausting to dig through hundreds of jargon-filled half-daydreamed replies when the question I have is "what's the gist of what she said?"
She claimed protestors had weapons and Trump knew, that he was shown gorilla documentaries (?,) and that he apparently needed to be restrained from crashing the presidential limo into the Capitol building like a Kamikaze.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 29, 2022 9:14 AM |
R2
Uh, she did not claim that "he apparently needed to be restrained from crashing the presidential limo into the Capitol building like a Kamikaze".
What she actually described was bad enough. More than bad enough.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 29, 2022 9:21 AM |
R33 and what did she describe?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 29, 2022 9:25 AM |
With some quick googling using "weapons charge January 6th," "guns seized January 6th," etc. I've only found one rioter who was charged for a having a pistol on him during the riot. Guy Reddit.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 29, 2022 9:31 AM |
I also pulled up this, which is an editorial from a law enforcement website claiming no guns were seized at all. It quotes an FBI statement supposedly from early March.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 29, 2022 9:32 AM |
According to this "fact check," the FBI did not confiscate any guns on January 6th but it is unknown whether the Capitol or D.C. Police did. He also claims that two, count 'em TWO rioters have received weapons charges.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 29, 2022 9:36 AM |
Why would this matter unless he was going to commit a crime of some kind with the limo?
Limited number of crimes you can commit with a vehicle, I just assumed it had to be something extreme like mowing people down with it. Otherwise, who gives a shit?
It's not a revelation to anyone that Trump is an asshole. It's his constitutional right to be an asshole.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 29, 2022 11:25 AM |
Last night's Hannity viewers checking in.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 29, 2022 11:35 AM |
Choking the secret service and ketchup stains on the wall aside, I found the most important revelations to be:
1) Trump's demand that the magnetometers at the rally be turned off. He obviously knew that the rioters were armed and
2) Ms. Cheney's call out of witness tampering.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 29, 2022 11:39 AM |
A former Secret Service operative who is a Trump supporter will testify that he never tried to grab the wheel or choke anybody. The right wing media will then trumpet how her entire testimony was a lie, his sycophants will believe it, and Trump will go on unscathed.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 29, 2022 11:55 AM |
r42, Liz has the receipts AND the testimony video. It is quite possible that Team Trump is being lied to about the video testimony.
Deny, deny, deny,....and let's go to the tape.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 29, 2022 12:01 PM |
So… question to the group. I was under the impression that the assholes overran the Capitol, then were driven out, along with any firearms they had. Most, if not all of the arrests came later after they were already gone, and they were identified through social media, etc. That’s why no guns were confiscated. We already know they turned off the metal detectors so there were definitely guns.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | June 29, 2022 12:03 PM |
R43 The video testimony that Trump tried to drive his own limo. What does that illustrate, exactly? That's not a crime.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 29, 2022 12:04 PM |
R42 that doesn’t mean anything. It could just come down to semantics. Maybe the SS wouldn’t consider what Dump did as “lunging,” so they can deny the whole story based on that. And that’s one agent.
Finally, the SS hasn’t said ANYTHING official btw. They do not comment EVER on matters of protecting the president. This is just someone who spoke to a reported on background.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 29, 2022 12:06 PM |
R44 We don't know that there were guns. We assume that there were guns.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 29, 2022 12:07 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 29, 2022 12:07 PM |
R47, didn’t people testify they had guns?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 29, 2022 12:10 PM |
And yet, another Trump backed candidate had a victory yesterday. Mary Miller defeated Rep. Rodney Davis in an House primary in Illinois after redistricting pitted two incumbent Republicans against each other, NBC News projected.
Miller's victory marked another win for former President Donald Trump, as well, who backed her as part of his effort to oust several incumbent Republicans deemed insufficiently loyal. Davis ran afoul of Trump by supporting the establishment of an independent commission to investigate the Jan. 6 riot. Davis supported the never-chartered independent commission, not the House select committee now probing the Capitol attack, which held its sixth public hearing Tuesday.
We’re doomed. America doesn’t care and wants this radical right wing religious bend.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 29, 2022 12:14 PM |
R45, it shows what every other thinking human being already knew: that Donald Trump is a human piece of shit and complete and utter garbage, a narcissistic jack ass, a 75 year old man with the emotional maturity of a 4 year old, a clown not fit to be a street sweeper cleaning up elephant shit after a circus parade much less be president of the United States, a petty tyrant and wannabe dictator who loves wiping his fat, white entitled shit encrusted asshole with the U.S. Constitution, a failed game show host who thinks he's a king.
Shall I go on?

R55 They certainly are episodes.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | June 29, 2022 12:30 PM |
R49 I haven't seen footage of anybody with a gun, apparently there are assertions that rioters had guns and video of people asserting othera had guns. I'm not sure why
1. We are believing them without proof, and
2. Not considering the possibility that people posted in tress were plainclothes law enforcement. They would obviously want high ground to survey as much of the crowd as possible.
It has been eighteen months and one of the biggest operations in FBI history. If they haven't been able to press firearms charges against rioters it's because there isn't sufficient proof that these people were armed.

In April, 72-year-old Lonnie Coffman of Falkville, Alabama, was sentenced to four years in prison for bringing loaded guns, ammunition and Molotov cocktail ingredients to Washington on Jan. 6.
In March, 49-year-old Texan Guy Reffitt, was convicted (among other charges) for being unlawfully present on Capitol grounds while possessing a firearm and transporting firearms during civil disorder.
Christopher Alberts of Maryland was indicted for carrying a Taurus G2C semi-automatic handgun on Capitol grounds on January 6.
Off-duty Drug Enforcement Administration agent Mark Sami Ibrahim, 32, was also indicted by a grand jury for bringing a firearm within the United States Capitol and its grounds.
In an article for Newsweek, Nick Suplina and Justin Wagner of Everytown for Gun Safety said they had identified "12 individuals allegedly tied to the events of Jan. 6 who were arrested in Washington, D.C., and charged with firearms offenses."

It took a couple of rounds of prodding and multiple people googling to even find out how many people were charged with firearm possession at the Capitol!

Like, he specifically surrounded the building with clueless tourists so his elite assault squad of four armed men, a guy in a Viking costume, and a crowd of rednecks could subjugate Congress? Congress who had already been teargassed by their own security and been immediately evacuated afterwards.
Trump had planned all this, yet neglected to collude with his own limo driver beforehand to secure transportation. Thereby necessitating that he attempt to steal his own limo.
We're calling that the plan?

[quote]OP/R91: Is the accusation specifically that Trump planned the riot at the Capitol out beforehand and intended to join it after his speech ended?
One of the new disclosures is that, at the Ellipse Rally, when Trump was informed that the crowds were armed and being stopped from entering, he ordered that the magnetometers be turned off so that they would not be detained. "They're not here to hurt 𝑚𝑒," he said.
That it was planned beforehand is not merely allegation; that has been firmly established. What's new to this hearing is that Trump's announcement that he intended to accompany the crowd to the Capitol was not mere lip-service; he actually tried to go, but the Secret Service refused to take him there. So there was a tantrum, with Trump screaming, 'I'm the fucking president, and you have to do what I say!' and the SS declining. So Trump lunged at the steering wheel, trying to redirect the vehicle, and put his tiny raccoon hands on the driver's shoulders and neck. He was taken back to the West Wing in a fit of rage.
[quote]Like, he specifically surrounded the building with clueless tourists so his elite assault squad of four armed men, a guy in a Viking costume, and a crowd of rednecks could subjugate Congress?
There were considerably more than four. Some forty connected with the Proud Boys have actually been charged, which is probably by no means all of them; Enrique Tarrio had announced that he was distributing PBs in small cells all over the Capitol, and not wearing trademark PB outfits. The Oathkeepers also entered the Capitol building from two directions, using 'stack' formations, with the definite goal of taking legislators captive, and killing them. '3 Percenters' were also present.
Trump spent the afternoon in the White House watching the assault on television, and refusing for hours to intervene or call it off, despite pleas from staffers that he do so. When told that the crowd was howling for Pence to be hung, he said that Pence deserved it, and that the crowd was doing nothing wrong.
