The series leads definitely are not put up in hotels haha they have a fully furnished home for the time they are there. Hotels are occasionally used if they film at an off-site location temporarily, in which case they would probably all be staying in the same hotel anyways, but I assume this was in Budapest which appears to still be their base location and also where their sound stages are. Also I actually just happened to see that video today where Ben is walking with his punisher costar with a pink umbrella and a BACKPACK so I think it’s pretty normal for him to wear a backpack to work just like it’s normal for many other guys. R346 I was thinking the same thing after seeing footage on the news tonight of the main Budapest train station…it’s like a full on refugee crisis transportation and holding area at the packed train station so I’m sure they are seeing the impacts of it around the city. The intel the US government released today that Putin may be planning a false flag attack to justify using chemical weapons in Ukraine is going to cause an even larger mass exodus of refugees because the devastation of chemical weapons can be far worse on civilians than the current occasional (but still awful) hits on civilian targets. For someone as private as Ben I could see how seeing someone new could correlate with being more quiet on socials, but I think the biggest hint would mostly be he’s “quiet” in that he hasn’t been spotted out socializing with the cast as much as they have been, so one might argue he’s spending time with someone else. Like there were official articles about them not being together saying from Andrew’s camp they are not together. Why is she posting an old pic? Like he didn’t take her to multiple events including the Oscars, but they are in love? We all know she was just sitting at home taking pictures of her, she could have been at the oscars with him. Lol it’s absolutely insane that the people who STILL obsessively post about JH are trying to kick people out of the BB thread for not talking exclusively about BB. It’s not like AG is completely unrelated to BB, in many ways they have had parallel careers with similar value systems, some overlapping friend circles, and both with introspective and analytical personas when it comes to acting, with one being much more successful than the other. If anything I think AG is probably interesting to quite a few people here because it’s a study of what BB could have been with a better management team or a more commercialized franchise or slightly less good looks. The similarities and overlap of their fandoms is also interesting to observe. A friend of mine went to Budapest earlier this year (I promise you, not to stalk the cast - he’s just a normal guy) and he got a 9 hole round on a public golf course near the city centre for around $90 / £70 / €83. He said an18 hole round would’ve cost him about $20 more. And that included all extras, club hire and a 2-person buggy.

Personally I think golf is a real yawn but as long as you don’t go private, it’s quite cheap - if that’s what you wanna spend a day doing.

As a dressage rider, I can tell you there is a lot of athleticism involved. For both rider and horse. The fact that you don‘t see it, is because it has been so perfected. Dressage riding is working every muscle in your body. Gosh, I hate those statements. Sorry, but that is simply envy of people who can afford expensive sports.

Literally all I've ever seen of it was people prancing around with their dressed up horses as they show them off, a la the Westminster Dog Show, with commentators marveling at how much training was given to those horses as it happened. I do not deny one bit that proper horseback riding requires athleticism, it obviously does.

All I’m saying is that you also have people like my guy friend who plays every once in a blue moon on a relatively cheap public course, because it’s just something to do to fill up a day off and yeah, maybe the sun is shining so a chance to be outdoors. Ben Barnes has rich parents and no doubt had what most of us would consider to be a privileged upbringing. He was born into a family like that so it’s the norm for him. He’s made a fair bit of money as an actor and lives in Hollyweird. He plays tennis as we know, which you could also class as an elitist sport (but again, not all pro or amateur tennis players are rich elitist assholes). Would I like to be in the same position as him? Of course I damn well would but I’m not, and that’s just how it is.

There’s a mix of people types in all sports. Some enter a particular sport because they want to shake up its elitist overtones, F1 for instance.

I get that Ben annoyed you by choosing to play to golf but it doesn’t bug me, due to the above. Maybe if he appeared on a polo field I might have a lot more to say about that though! I feel that that is one sport which is definitely and exclusively elitist.
