Sharapova is retired and set for life. I don't know how her post-tennis career plans are shaping up, but at the moment she doesn't seem that thirsty for the spotlight. Hence, is a beard necessary?

R17 Vasek did a good comeback this year and he is good enough to make money with his tennis.
Sharapova future husband is handsome. Frankly i don't know where the lesbian rumours came, i know Dimitrov was more a shopping partner than a boyfriend but that match seemed a pr relationship to increase their profiles (Dimitrov seemed to be the next big thing back then) more than to hide anything

It must be hard be the less talented brother, at least Jacopo is doing better than Petros Tsitsipas.
After the Zverev affair i thought players will be more careful with putting the girlfriends on instagram (of course Shapo's relationship is way longer than all Zvere's combined)
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 25, 2020 6:29 PM |
R30 Exactly like that. Well, Felix is quite discrete in comparission with others, but he was posting pictures of his girlfriend like five minutes after knowing her.
Anyway, or he (and Shapo) choose better than Sascha or they treat their girlfriends way better than Sascha (probably both).
In my oppinion a player better wait till make thing instagram official, but i'm too old to fully understand the need of the young generation of putting all their lives on social media

I know Nadal's relationship is unconventional to sports standard but frankly athletes but bearding contracts rarely include your highschool girlfriend.
It's very difficult that a tennis player will come out, it's totally uncharted territory and the guy must be at least from a western country (i can't see a russian player coming out or a polish one).
Anyway, tennis is one of the sports were a gay player could have a nice career without too many problems, it's an individual sport, you earn enough just for playing (and if the guy was promising i'm pretty sure he'll get a lot of sponsors) and if you are not blind by the spotlight i doubt there were much problem with the fans either

by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 27, 2020 10:48 AM |
Unconventional? Ay, por favor. Rafa is gay gay gay. High school? The guy didn't finish 5th grade. Whatshercara was/is his sister's girlfriend. There used to be a lot more pictures and videos of Rafa and friends on the internet, but most have been scrubbed. He has a carefully crafted PR campaign. You could see how gay he was with the boys and completely awkward with women.
I admit there is no proof, but there is no proof that he is straight. He has NEVER had to answer any personal questions ever since that 1 interview where he was practically outed, 10 years ago. "So you call your mother every day, but you go weeks or months without talking to your girlfriend?" He doesn't see or talk to her at all during GS because "it's too distracting". My girlfriend who lives in Canada.
That's when the PR clamp closed for good. Note in the pic above, Carlos, the manager or agent, gets in-between them.
If the kid in the pic. isn't his boyfriend, why do they try to hide him all the time? At RG he was in the corner of the friends box acting like he just found that seat by accident. There was no crowd to hide him in, this year.
The sister and Cara are always have same hair, matchy outfits and jewelry. For years, once a year we'd get a pap shot of the happy couple on the beach/boat and that's it. Look at the video below, look how natural he is with men.
He was making 10 million a year and she kept working at a bank because she liked her independence, yeah right.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 27, 2020 10:51 AM |
Pic after pic where the girls look alike. That's not an accident. Note his sister's wedding ring and Whatshercara's necklace. Same hair/hats/hemlines. Gimmeabreak. Hiding in plain sight/site. Do a google image search rafa sister and girlfriend.

Matching hats, glasses, necklaces, blouses, hair styles. Why? Just a coincidence? They call each other in the morning?
Also note that the media has NEVER said one word about it. Wouldn't it be natural to say "His sister is his wife's best friend" or ANY single word about them always being together? Crickets.

I haven't heard from the Djokovic hating troll lately, maybe he's too busy gloating. If someone wants to bash Djokovic for awhile, I'll TRY and defend him, though I don't have a lot to work with this year. But I'll start.
Here he is in Bosnia at a hill/pyramid with special healing powers where he realigned his root chakra and opened his third eye. It's as real as Rafa's heterosexuality. With an equal amount of proof.

"Bartoli has a crazy father but he is very far from the worst cases in the wta, very very far."
Right, R48. For tennis parents we need to distinguish between "crazy", "abusive," and "crazy AND abusive." Coaches too.
From what I know, Bartoli's dad was just odd; he was no Damir Dokic (as just one example).

R54, I'd vote for Dokic. Don't get me wrong, Jim Pierce was abusive towards Mary and her mom/his wife. But Dokic seemed even more abusive directed towards Jelena.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | December 28, 2020 4:58 AM |
Well, the crazy abusive father is a classic on the wta. From Andrea Jaeger to Mirjana Lucic. I think now they are more careful to show their true colors but i'm pretty sure there are a good bunch of them.
On atp lately it happens the opposite with players who disrespect their fathers, but i think it's simply a consecuence that players have diva behaviours from an early age now

Thanasi Kokkinakis will play again. Hopefully this time he'll be luckier with injuries.
Well next week atp will be back. I thought players below 230 will be the victims of the lack of challengers with the change of the dates of Australian Open, but curiously there's a lot of them in the qualifications of the first atps. The fact that most players will travel to Australia to quarintine will make them possible to get into an atp tournament, the ones lucky enough to get into the main draw could gain more points than reaching the last rounds of a challenger (and given the absence of top players is perfectly possible)

Iga Swiatek is funny, on her last tweet of the year she talked about thinks she is thankful she wrote "i wellcomed a new coach to my team so i have one more person to annoy", she graduated from high school and she even mentioned to read some great books (Shapo could never).
I hope she is able to play at the same level she showed at Roland Garros. I think wta could be interesting agains if Osaka, Andreescu and Swiatek play good tennis (and if Halep, Muguruza and some of the veterans rise her level even more).
On atp i only hope to watch some alternatives, i'm tired of the big 3 winning every GS. They don't dominate the circuite like they used but on GS the story is different, so i want new GS champions (or Thiem winning another one)

Will Granny Serena dominate the WTA, get back to number one, win all four Slams, break the Margaret Court record for Slams and become the undisputed GOAT in 2021?
by Anonymous | reply 83 | January 1, 2021 2:01 PM |
Serena has zero chances of dominating the wta again, but winning another GS is a different story. She only needs two inspired weeks with her serve to have her chances. She is still reaching the final rounds so she still has a chance.
Anyway, Court is not considered a goat since the 80's, everybody puts Evert and Navratilova ahead of her and of course Steffi Graff.
She was a great player (and a first class bigot) but half of her australian open were more or less national championships
by Anonymous | reply 84 | January 1, 2021 2:41 PM |
[quote] Anyway, Court is not considered a goat since the 80's, everybody puts Evert and Navratilova ahead of her and of course Steffi Graff.
Unfortunately many casual tennis viewers consider number of majors the main, and in some cases only, determinant of “GOATiness”. I venture to say many Gays and Tennis posters know it’s more complicated than that.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | January 1, 2021 3:21 PM |
Not in that case. Court is way less known than any of the other greats
by Anonymous | reply 86 | January 1, 2021 4:06 PM |
She is even less known than Billie Jean King.
One big problem with Court is that she barely added anything to women's tennis. Yes, she was an amazing player, but at a time that she could do a lot making women's tennis reach the next level she didn't do a thing.
Maybe she won half of the GS but Billie Jean King is way more important for women's tennis than Margaret Court

really bummed that the combined ATP/WTA scores app is now no longer functioning as of today. I just checked to see if maybe next week's qualification draws are out. I've been using that score app on my computer since the early 2000s and on my phone for the last several years. Last year it stopped working on computers and as of now the app is totally defunct. The WTA has no fucking score app!!! The ATP has one that I downloaded but no clue how good it is yet until play starts. I didn't see if has a space listing draws so I guess I'll have to wait until during the week.

Granny V's repeated early round losses are embarrassing but the top women are so inconsistent and awful at maintaining any sustained level of high quality performance that it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Granny in a Slam final again even when she is 42.
That said I do like her and will miss her a lot if she retires. I love her professional, no drama, no nonsense approach to her career, which is a breath of fresh air when compared to all the shrieking drama queens in the WTA (with her younger sister and her anger issues being among the most annoying). Granny V is like the quiet colleague who just comes in, gets on with her work and goes about her personal life with minimum fuss. My favorite kind of person.

Top players could easily take a month off after Australia (maybe not this year). I'm a little tired of players complaining about how long is the season only to play exhibitions on Emirates once they are in the off season.
The calendar should be more flexible, but that's all

Novaxx is getting totally dragged in the media in Australia and on Tennis Twitter.
by Anonymous | reply 156 | January 18, 2021 4:34 PM |
From the op-ed linked below. Doesn't he have a pr person?
Players and officials in Djokovic's circus did not wear masks and took to hugging and high-fiving, shooting hoops during downtime and partying into the night with such abandon – and we were all amazed at this – that the coronavirus broke out among the star players.
Djokovic himself got the virus, as did his wife. The tournament had to be abandoned before it reached a final.
A near miraculous side benefit involved Australia's Nick Kyrgios. He stayed away and transformed himself from clown prince to international tennis's voice of reason by firing off an arch tweet: "Prayers up to all the players that have contracted COVID-19. Don't @ me for anything I've done that has been 'irresponsible' or classified as 'stupidity' — this takes the cake."
Now, amid the shambolic triumph that is the so-called preparation for the Australian Open, Djokovic has reportedly penned a six-point prescription to make life more pleasant for the increasing numbers of players locked away in hotel rooms.
He wants fitness and training materials in all rooms, which sounds sensible ... unless you're a hotel proprietor already growing restive about the sound of tennis balls being smashed into walls and windows and are perhaps dubious about turning suites into power-lifting gyms.
by Anonymous | reply 157 | January 18, 2021 5:23 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 158 | January 18, 2021 6:26 PM |

1) Novak is shown in a van with other with NO MASK.
2) Tomic’s gf complaining that she has to wash her own hair. WTF?
3) Players are shown hitting balls against windows, walls, upturned beds, surfing on beds, running, etc in their rooms. Is Tennis Australia going to pay for the wear and tear?
Again, “I never wash my own hair.” She needs to be read for filth. No one forced her to tag along when the quarantine rules were known ahead of time.

People can trash Nole as much as they want, at least he showed some interest for other players, i can't say the same about the rest of the ones who are in Adelaide.
Tiley is useless and the organization is a disaster, one thing is to be in quarantine and other very different that you can't even exercise yourself. This tournament seems totally rigged in favour of the ones who were already the favourites.
And even there are appearing new players, being a teen on atp is becoming a rarity. From the seven teenagers on the qualifications only Alcaraz and Machac are in the main draw. And probably an effect of last year's season but there are only two players who can play the next gen finals (Felix and Sinner) who are in the top 100 right now

The entitlement, delusion and lack of self-awareness
these players should just shut the fuck up and be grateful they even have a grand slam. Millions are out of work worldwide yet they're whining about tight restrictions that are for their own safety? Bye
by Anonymous | reply 168 | January 20, 2021 7:57 PM |
They really should be grateful to be treated like crap?
Sorry but wrong sport, you can treat like crap athletes from sports who don't make enough money. This is a GS not an itf, and the organization of tennis Australia is a disaster. And they have no excuses because the US Open and Roland Garros were played in way worse circumsntances and they did way better.
If they thought they couldn't do it, they should cancel the whole thing and stop the nonsense
by Anonymous | reply 169 | January 20, 2021 8:03 PM |
R169 treated like crap? What are you talking about? So they're not as pampered as they're used to. Again, sports are a luxury. These players and their defenders need a dose of reality
by Anonymous | reply 170 | January 20, 2021 8:17 PM |
But they can do it, r169, and they are. Priority number one is to keep COVID from re-emerging in Oz, which is why the players are quarantined. They knew that in advance. Just think if they’d had the lax protocols put in place in NY or Paris.
Djokovic including a reduction of two weeks to ten days for quarantining in his requests was just the sort of populist grandstanding that makes him so unpalatable. Just like the bullcrap request about letting players rent houses with tennis courts. Would you want somebody with his (Adria Tour) track record in your neighbourhood, saying they play by the rules and then not even masking up on buses?
Like Kyrgios said, he’s a tool.
by Anonymous | reply 171 | January 20, 2021 8:24 PM |
Now, pause and think of the top players that chose to stay away, and you can couch it in lack of conditioning or whatever you like, but at the root of their decisions was likely a consideration for a world pandemic, and for the health of themselves and their entourage, and the people of the host city. Djokovic has displayed little self-awareness; his Adriatic tour shenanigans exposed his off-court naiveté.

I hope the women players are all staying in their rooms, reading their Bibles, having regular relations with their husbands and not letting themselves be swayed by the persistent evil that cloaks the women's tour. I am referring of course to the lesbians preying upon the young women and taking them to their sinful Sodom and Gomorrah lairs. Filth! Evil!

by Anonymous | reply 175 | January 21, 2021 2:22 PM |
It's working, R175, for those who are willing to accommodate the requirements necessary to contain a pandemic. If Djokovic was unwilling to comply and instead wanted to be treated like the prima donna that he is, then he should have skipped the AO.
by Anonymous | reply 176 | January 21, 2021 5:05 PM |
Djokovic spoke because a lot of players complained, and frankly blaming Putintseva for having a mouse in her room is quite low. The rest of the tops couldn't care less about the conditions of the lesser players
There are complains about the lack of cleanness and there are complains because some of the rooms doesn't have even a window
And Tiley said they were advised about the conditions but a lot of players say he is lying.
And be serious, Djokovic won AO 8 times, he wouldn't skip the tournament by any reason.
I hope this year will be the end of the big 3 dominance. I wouldn't mind if one of them won a GS but it's time to new faces in the final rounds
by Anonymous | reply 177 | January 21, 2021 5:55 PM |
Yes, so pitiful and outrageous that they're subjected to staying in a luxury hotel so that they can have the chance to make huge money, all because of an inconvenient pandemic. Waaaa!
Doesn't matter whether Djokovic won AO 8 times or 20 times, it's ridiculous to demand a private house with tennis courts rather than a full quarantine so that others aren't exposed to a lethal virus.

by Anonymous | reply 180 | January 21, 2021 7:11 PM |
Oh please, no windows for a couple of weeks and one loose mouse. BFD, GMAFB. If professional tennis players can't take that level of very temporary inconvenience, then they have no business being in the business.
by Anonymous | reply 181 | January 21, 2021 7:17 PM |
Temporary inconvenience my ass. It's a fucking GS not a 15k itf. And two weeks without going out of that room it's not that small thing.
Most rooms of the players who are totally confined didn't have any way to exercise. The organization is a fucking disaster but they couldn't care less because the priviledged ones are perfectly ok
by Anonymous | reply 182 | January 21, 2021 7:19 PM |
Tell that to Darfur Orphan, R182. You sound spoiled.
by Anonymous | reply 183 | January 21, 2021 7:21 PM |
R183 That's pretty bad demagogy.
They are playing a GS, period.
And the organization was pretty crappy from the beginning because with good organization there won't be so many players confined in their rooms. They promised charter flies to avoid problems but in the end everyone was there in regular flies.
The problem is not to have a nice room, the problem is they distorted to competition (to benefit high ranked players).
If they weren'r ready to make the AO just cancel it
by Anonymous | reply 184 | January 21, 2021 7:32 PM |
R184, which part of this is a pandemic requiring constant provisional changes and willingness to change to make the best of it doesn't make sense to you? The top players have always received more perks than the lower-ranked players. Is that fair? Not at all. None of these tournaments are prepared for the vicissitudes of a pandemic. They're doing the best they can to roll with the punches. With your line of reasoning, they should all just cancel everything given the difficulties with travel and basic logistics until we all get through this. Or don't.
by Anonymous | reply 185 | January 21, 2021 7:40 PM |
It's not that much to ask for a GS to be prepared, to make easy for the ones who have to be on their rooms to make some exercise and be comfortable.
It's obvious that Australia didn't want them there, there were protest at the original hotel.
And the whole Adelaide bubble is absurd, it shows that they only care for a bunch of players.
I can understand being more strict specially because some players are like babies, but they had plenty of time to prepare the whole thing and they failed.
Of course the competition is rigged, but they couldn't care less because noone of the big players was affected
by Anonymous | reply 186 | January 21, 2021 7:45 PM |
I can't speak for the AO organizers or the hotel about the difficulties that they've had, but it seems like you're filling in a lot of the blanks without knowing what's actually what. All I know is that Djokovic's demands are not even remotely realistic in terms of private houses with tennis courts.
by Anonymous | reply 187 | January 21, 2021 7:58 PM |
His first two demands were perfectly doable, the rest was his wishful thinking (and totally out of reality).
Players are showing their rooms and the way they try to keep in form and it's vey far from what it should be desired
by Anonymous | reply 188 | January 21, 2021 8:07 PM |
If these entitled princesses don't like the necessary restrictions due to covid then they can easily notify the AO that they have decided not to compete and get on a plane to jet back to their respective homes.
I have no sympathy; they should have taken the decision to stay home.
by Anonymous | reply 189 | January 22, 2021 12:18 AM |
Is there any word how young Grigor is handling the Aussie Open quarantine? Does he have a room to himself? Is it one with a window? Which floor? I'm only asking but it's probably not a good idea being around anyone for too long and risk his ability to compete? I'm just concerned.

He is such a slimy cunt, r192. Once the flak from his gross misreading of the room starts coming in, he gets his PR team out. It’s his PR equivalent of boobs out.
Nothing he does is anything but a cynical manoeuvre to manipulate people’s perception of the Djokovic brand. Federer got his own logo from Nike? Let’s put together my own. People root for my opponents? Get the boobs out—nothing like a bit of passive aggressive guilt tripping. I hear the players rumbling that they’re getting a raw deal in Melbourne while I’m in a privileged bubble in Adelaide? I’ll get my unionising bs back out to show how inept the ATP is to drum up some more PR for my breakaway union.
His real PR problem is that he’s basically a really nasty piece of shit.

I was taking a look at mentennisforum and i realize that if you are a talented kid with a one hand backhand the hype gets out of control really fast.
Watching the predictions of some of the posters there, from 28 out of 29 predicted (wrongly) that Musetti would get into AO main draw by his part of the draw, pretty high considered only 11 predicted Alcaraz (the other golden kid right now).
I really like Musetti but the ones watching him the new Federer are very wrong, he doesn't have Roger's serve, neither his forehand and he is way more defensive than Roger. Hopefull he'll escape the baby Federer nickname and being Sinner only one year older that should make pressure under tolearable limits

When told about Serena's past blowups on the tennis court she refused to believe us and insisted that she must have had a good reason for her behavior. It's a culture of thin-skinned, perpetually offended drama queens validating and enabling her assholishness and roid rage.

So nice for V that they're about as different as sisters can be.
by Anonymous | reply 222 | January 30, 2021 3:59 PM |
V used to be a brat as a teenager but she matured into one of the most professional American players. Most male and female American players of the last four decades have been entitled assholes who deserved to be whipped
The druggie porn whore Jenny Capriati, the king douchebag Roddick, Sock, Roid Rage Serena, all the Repug douchebros, the sneaky bitch Kenin Kardenne, and the Big Mama Karen of the WTA, Lindsey Davenport.
by Anonymous | reply 223 | January 30, 2021 4:05 PM |
R223 I think the fact that Venus was a brat when she started is in big part Richard's fault. He loved to say outrageous things to the press, saying his sisters were the best (when they weren't, not at that moment), and of course being a teenage with a bright future could make someome behave not the best way.
But she improved so much all over the years and she seems very nice and full of class (Serena could learn a thing or two from her elder sister)

Yeah R218 I agree. Don’t know much about the Jehovah’s Witnesses but it seems Serena drunk that kool-aid. She still thanks Jehovah for letting her play etc. Agree with R219 — Serena can be an asshole. I mean I love her and all — and still hope she can get to 24 or 25 but that’s seeming less and less likely. Don’t know if Jehovah’s going to take her there.

I was just watching a bit of the Errani–Ostapenko match in Melbourne and, wow, apart from the dourest coupling ever seen on a court, Ostapenko sure has packed on the pounds during her Covid lockdown. Errani seems to be in form, but then again she's probably been avoiding her mom's tagliatelle.
by Anonymous | reply 238 | January 31, 2021 1:32 PM |
I hope the Ostapenko woman is a God fearing heterosexual. I have my doubts about the Errani woman as she reminds me a lot of the Casals midget from my playing days.
At least the Williams woman seems to be a good Christian and staunchly heterosexual. Women's tennis has been taken over by the filthy, perverted lesbians for far too long, starting with that dreadful King creature and then continued by her communist lover.
Oh bless the good straight women of the WTA, dear Lord! And may the evil dirty lesbians all dissolve in a flurry of double faults and netted forehand!

by Anonymous | reply 248 | February 1, 2021 12:58 AM |
Sports are not a gay friendly enviroment, not even in tennis (of course a tennis player depends a lot less of other people oppinions).
I remember reading a recent interview with Lorenzo Musetti when he said (after being directly questioned) that he doesn't have time to have a girlfriend, and the first reaction on the forum was a guy being upset because being in a relationship with a girl is good to have stability and being focused (and i can only think in the stability that relationships give Sascha Zverev)
Tonic didn't played his match, so there won't be a Tomic-Kyrgios second round

by Anonymous | reply 251 | February 1, 2021 4:05 PM |
Dream on. Safin voted against gay rights and is a special kind of Putin douche.
"Marat Safin, the 2000 United States Open winner and now a member of the Russian Parliament, the State Duma, was one of 436 members of the body to vote yes on Federal Law No. 44554-6.
While the vote may have seemed like something of a rubber stamp for Safin (it was one of the 48 yes votes he cast that day), that particular bill has gained more international attention than any other passed during Safin’s tenure.
The measure, which passed by 436-0 and was signed into law by President Vladimir V. Putin, effectively forbids public displays of support for gay rights."

Felix also is scheduled to play Monday after the Sunday final. Very poor planning on the part of the AO.
Speaking of very poor, Moutet was all diva yesterday against FAA, pushing and kicking a bin sideways onto the court, smashing his racket, yelling and doing a full-on walkabout worthy of Kyrgios. Felix looked liked he was trying not to laugh during the smashed bin episode.

by Anonymous | reply 297 | February 7, 2021 8:38 AM |
R297 it's because that tournament started a day after all the others this week. Then the schedule was messed up when there was no Thursday play. I guess given the proximity to the AO, they didn't want them playing 2 matches in 1 day. I think they could have played the QF and SF yesterday and final today though
by Anonymous | reply 298 | February 7, 2021 9:31 AM |
What is your fucking problem with not having the final and giving a trophy to both? That way everyone goes home a winner. It is what I want for my kids. Everybody deserves a trophy.
by Anonymous | reply 299 | February 7, 2021 10:02 AM |
R291 Mouutet is always a diva, a violent one. One of the commenters was talking about Corentin and Felix having a lot in common because both are artistic, but Felix never behave that way on court. Moutet has really a problem controlling his anger.
I was surprised when Nike decided not to pursue a new deal with Felix and maybe his inability to win tournaments was part of that. Losing finals is becoming a problem and could be a burden for his development. The truth is his level on finals is incredibly low, it's not that he doesn't win it's that he seems unable to win even a set. Evans is a tricky player (i find his game very entertainning) but Felix was the favourite and this was a clear defeat.
On the other hand Sinner is a player who is very effective, he is reaching a point that he doesn't even need to play his best to win. He still has some problems (his match against Khachanov could have been way shorter if his serve didn't fail him at key moments) but he ended winning his second title in his second final and right now he is probably the young player with more hype and he really deserved it
I remember an Eastbourne tournament where Arantxa and Novotna shared the title. It rained too much and Wimbledon was just starting so they couldn't delay the final

Pedro Martinez is so fucking hot. Why are all these Spanish players except Nadal so handsome?
by Anonymous | reply 341 | February 10, 2021 8:12 AM |
yeah Nadal has a really ugly troll face. The Spanish have had very handsome players for a long time. When I was a teen, sexy Alex Corretja stirred up funny feelings in me, which were my first sign that I was gay.

Well the aussie open is paywalled so i suppose we'll comment here till someone opens another thread.
I hope that Zverev is able to eliminate Nole. The fact Berrettini retired when he supposely has the same injury than Novak doesn't make Djokovic look good.
If Dimitrov let Karatsev play comfortably he is toast. Grigor is not big enough to intimidate his rival so he better play at a very good level from the beginning.
Medvedev- Rublev match is interesting, the difference in the US Open was not that clear and Andrey had his chances. Daniil is the big favourite but if he plays like in the thir round he is toast.
And i expect Tsitsipas at leas to give a good fight. His backhand return is too weak and Nadal will use that in his favour. He need to play very well from the beginning to have any chance

All of the players that I rooted for are already out. Hoping that Nadal, Rublev, Dimitrov or Tsitsipas takes the title rather than the other rotten four.

He does love to tug at his junk. I’d hate fuck him - I think there’s something sexy there. But I hate him.

Crikey, the Australian Open is expecting to record a loss of more than $78 million (AU$100 million) for running the tennis season's first Grand Slam amid the COVID-19 pandemic

ugh it's windy for the ladies final
that always affects play

Hiroshima playing better so far compared to Mike Brady.
by Anonymous | reply 360 | February 20, 2021 8:19 AM |
Brady with 2 horrible misses to end the set.
Osaka got a bit lucky at deuce that her shot floated just inside the baseline and Brady was out of position
by Anonymous | reply 361 | February 20, 2021 8:29 AM |
Brady and Serena probably wishing Mugu had converted her match point against Osaki.
by Anonymous | reply 362 | February 20, 2021 8:38 AM |
Brady is a weird player. She is quite athletic and powerful but there's an awkwardness about her. She doesn't have smooth strokes and she has decent footspeed but not agility if she has to get out of her own way. That's why she ends up hitting wild errors. The wind is hell for a player like her

Osaka def. Brady 6-4 6-3
Osaka now has 4 slams, which puts her tied with Clijsters. Osaka is the new hardcourt queen with 2 USO and 2 AO. Next 2 steps for her are A) get more consistent year round and B) improve her results on clay and grass. Right now she's a hardcourt specialist
Brady is also going to be a top hardcourt player but so far is not up there with the best of the best

OK OK we hear you Chrissie — yes Osaka’s game robs Brady of time to setup for her shots. You’ve said it at least 10 times.
Anyhoo — congrats Naomi on her 4th slam. Jen had a great run to the final and played fine tonight. Her ranking should rise nicely and I expect she’ll get better and better. She might even find her first serve at some point.
But Osaka looks like the foreseeable future of the game and I’m down with that. I like her — I think she’s fun to watch and a very cool interesting person.
But REALLY looking forward to Tits Out and Medvedev tomorrow night. We need a name for Daniil. MEHvedev isn’t really it though. Post ideas below. Would love to have him named by tomorrow night.
What’s our preferred moniker for Novaxxx? Tits Out? Djoker? He needs a proper DL name.
To my mind

Was Miss Chris getting banged in the commentary booth during the match?

Love Osaka's 4th GS win, very happy for her,
Couldn't care less about who takes the men's title since I can't stand either finalist, but for me they're Scarecrow and Squidward.

Is Osaka hardcourt specialist?

Do people in Japan consider her Japanese or do they think of her as American?

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
