Someone mentioned in a comment elsewhere, the ominous reason Trump wants that vanity parade on his birthday. It's going to cost minimum $42M, $16M will go to repair of DC roads after the tanks and military vehicles roll in. The commenter said the main reason for the parade is to assemble all of this heavy artillery in DC so when he suspends our Constitution and calls for Martial Law the military will be in place. Scary as hell yet makes total sense.
THIS IS HIS LATEST THREAT TO THOSE WHO HAVE A RIGHT TO PEACEFULLY ASSEMBLE: "President Donald Trump has issued a warning for anyone planning to protest at his birthday military parade on Saturday.
Trump told reporters, during a briefing at the White House on Tuesday, that any demonstration at the parade "will be met with very heavy force."
The president added that he hadn't heard about plans for protests at the event, but he appeared to expect some dissent on the day, adding, "these are people who hate our country."

A Little Comic Relief: 'Petty vindictiveness': Trump boots GOP senator who criticized his bill from WH picnic.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has lashed out at the White House, accusing it of “immaturity” and “petty vindictiveness” after being told he and his family could no longer attend the traditional bipartisan White House picnic, CNN reported Wednesday.
The Kentucky Republican, known for his libertarian views and tough stance on federal spending, has been a vocal critic of President Donald Trump’s expansive policy proposal.
According to Paul, his entire family — including his infant grandson — had made plans to attend the event scheduled for Thursday on the White House lawn. However, he told CNN their invitation was suddenly revoked without any clear reason. The cancellation came amid mounting tensions between Paul and the Trump administration, which has openly criticized him in recent days for opposing the president’s legislative agenda.
“The level of immaturity is beyond words,” Paul said, noting that he has lost “a lot of respect” for Trump.
Earlier this month, Trump sharply criticized Paul for declining to support a bill central to his domestic agenda. This was part of a growing effort by the president to pressure fellow Republican senators to swiftly back and pass the legislation.
In two posts on his social platform Truth Social, Trump asserted that Paul lacked a clear grasp of the bill and stated: “His ideas are actually crazy (losers!). The people of Kentucky can’t stand him.”

"Trump admin unleashes IRS on LA protests over right-wing conspiracy theory"
"President Donald Trump's administration is following conspiracy theories that the protesters in Los Angeles are being paid.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed in a news conference Thursday that agents of the IRS have been deployed on the ground in Los Angeles to investigate who is "paying them" to protest.
The claim is a familiar one. As CNN pointed out, Trump has spent years claiming that anyone protesting him was being paid to do so."
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard told Fox on Wednesday that it was something the Justice Department and the FBI were looking into, but there hasn't been any specific information.
Gabbard cited Craigslist ads that request protesters, promising to pay thousands of dollars. However, anyone can create a Craigslist ad for anything without requirements for verification that it's authentic. As an example, there is currently a Craigslist ad in Washington, D.C. offering $1,000 for "seat fillers" at Trump's birthday parade on Saturday.
Gabbard said that protesters are “obviously” being “orchestrated.”
The Associated Press issued a fact-check confirming that a Craigslist ad is not evidence that protesters are being paid.

Yesterday, I had my two year-old rescued dog euthanized. Earlier this week, she had suddenly become lethargic, had loss of appetite, and was drinking excessive amounts of water. I took her to the local veterinarian who did x-rays of her abdomen areas and had immediately contacted a specialist center of veterinarians to do emergency surgery.. I took the dog to the new location.immediately for the initial processing, then the CT scans and surgical procedure were to commence. I was notified the dog had a massive cancerous tumor that was compressing her lungs, and was shifting her other organs. There was deterioration of some rib bones and a spread of polyps. She was given zero options for survival and was already struggling to breathe. She was a very sweet dog, and I’m very torn up about it. My partner also cried and couldn’t sleep last night. Money for her care was not an issue for me. I would’ve spent anything if she could’ve had a successful operation.
Why am I talking about this to strangers? Perhaps it’s more about me struggling with my emotions over this loss.
I want to say this. I detest Kristi Noem more than anyone in the Trump administration. Trump is disgusting for appointing her to a cabinet role for which she is unqualified. Of course, just about the whole cabinet is full of corrupt, unqualified people. The point is Noem, by her own bragging, shot and killed a young dog, which she owned. She did not deem him obedient enough. That was a cruel act. She could’ve made an effort to give the dog to someone who would have cared for it, or have taken it to a shelter, I spent some of her fortune and have the dog trained. The bitch and boss are not good people. If one doesn’t like pets, then don’t own them. The good hearted suffer; the evil ones are enabled.
Thanks for your attention.

Okay, I don't doubt there are fears, vague fears, with the first, well likely, Muslim Mayor of New York, but what are the actual fears of Jews about Mohrani? What do they think will happen? Pogroms in the streets of New York City? What exactly do they think will happen to them, personally? Synagogues shut down? Jews banished from the city? What? Other than not supporting Israel and Netanyahu, with the rather limited foreign policy powers of the mayor of NYC, what exactly is the fear?

by Anonymous | reply 273 | June 26, 2025 10:03 PM |
[quote] It is not clear whether Mamdani was present for the floor vote “every year.” For at least part of the 2023 and 2024 floor speeches on the Holocaust resolution, archived video from the Assembly shows that Mamdani was not in his seat. The videos don’t capture the full debates, so it isn’t entirely clear whether he came into the chamber in the middle of a speech. Transcripts from those day’s proceedings do not include any remarks by Mamdani.
Seriously? This is the trauma? He may not have been present for all the floor speeches on the Holocaust resolution? Also, from a really funny post somewhere, apparently every mayoral candidate is supposed to take a pledge to visit Israel at the earliest opportunity, and apparently he REFUSED TO PLEDGE. Oh Holy Moses, and this is the case for why he secretly wants to kill all Jews! Lordy, lordy. There is real antisemitism, and then there is this ridiculous, purposeless, nonsense.
You know what? Tell me when he said the Holocaust never happened, or the Jews had it coming, or anything like that and I'll believe he is a danger to the Jews. Until then, stop. Just stop pretending with this idiocy.

R276, they already have voted for him. This was the Democratic primary. Seriously, 80% of registered voters in NYC are Democrats. Less than half of all registered voters ever vote for mayor, either in the primary or the general. I don’t know why that is, but that’s what happens. CNN: Supreme Court limits ability of judges to stop Trump
The Supreme Court on Friday backed President Donald Trump’s effort to curtail lower court orders that have hampered his agenda for months.
The court gave Trump a significant part of what he wanted: It limited the ability of plaintiffs to seek nationwide orders that temporarily halt the government from enforcing a policy. Those court orders are at the center of the president’s monthslong battle with the federal judiciary over his attempts to unilaterally redefine the nation’s immigration policies, slash government spending and take over independent agencies.

I think we've reached the inflection point for power systems. You can't really create lasting institutions (like the church or entrenched racist industries) from pure power anymore, especially with social media. Humans have gotten too smart. A belief in serendipity laced with cruelty is too much for capitalists, natalists and optimists to manage these days. Too many people are educated right now and it's breaking systems of oppression. In order to defend hierarchy, they have to beat us back into line. Sadly, normal, "well-adjusted" people tend to not stand up for equality or logic; they simply survive to propagate their genes successfully.

"This has been an unhappy episode here in Congress, this effort to cut Medicaid. And I think, frankly, my party needs to do some soul searching. If you want to be a working-class party, you’ve got to deliver for working-class people. You cannot take away health care from working people. Steve Schmidt blasts Richard Blumenthal and Lindsey Graham.
[quote] The Bezos Post set out to profile Lindsey Graham, but wound up revealing the delusions of 79-year-old Senator Richard Blumenthal too. He should announce his retirement soon. What a disgrace. Here is what he said about Lindsey Graham: I think he’s a bridge between the Trump administration and a more sane and rational view of American self-interest. Lindsey Graham is very much in what I would call a John McCain view of the world. Obviously, Richard Blumenthal is a man who lacks judgement. Beyond that, he shares a stunning connection with the odious Graham. Some people are born without immune systems to fight off diseases. Graham and Blumenthal share a lack of integrity that is genetic. They have none. Connecticut has a fool for a US senator, but Blumenthal is worse than that. Blumenthal lied about being a veteran of the Vietnam War. He is a fabulist and a fraud. He is a liar, just like Trump, Karoline Leavitt, Pete Hegseth, Kristi Noem, Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, Elon Musk, Russian stooge Tulsi Gabbard, and the rest of Trump’s cancerous court. He lied to inflate his resume, and in doing so, he disgraced the service and sacrifice of every Vietnam veteran in a war that ended exactly 50 years ago today in national humiliation. What makes it worse is that he received at least five deferments from 1965 - 1970, and then enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve, which made it next to impossible that he would be sent to Vietnam. (more….)
Lindsey Graham always latches onto older men of influence (Blumenthal is age 79). They have traveled internationally together multiple times including trips to Ukraine, Israel, etc.

It was Thom Tillis and Rand Paul. So if our nervous Nelly Susan and miss pretends to be a standup gal Lisa would’ve joined them it would’ve failed. This disaster will be on them.
