I get the feeling Elon and Trump know what they're doing is unpopular:
"The US Marshals Service has deputized members of Elon Musk’s private security detail, giving them certain rights and protections of federal law enforcement agents.
People close to Trump’s White House have been taken aback by the scale of security that has surrounded Musk since he became a regular presence in Trump’s orbit last year."

There are hundreds of thousands of these people who have done that for years. They get an ITIN so they can be legitimately here and working. It's their temporary ID. They can't collect social security or anything. It's just for tax and employer purposes.
They're looking for these people to target them for deportation once the picking season starts.

I know this will come as a shock to you, but it appears Elon may be lying about DOGE's accomplishments. DOGE’s website reports a total estimated savings of $55 billion, but the accounting is riddled with errors. For example:
Contracts that had not yet been awarded
Instances where a single pot of money is listed multiple times — tripling or quadrupling the amount of savings claimed
Purchase agreements that have no record of being canceled, but were instead stripped of language related to diversity, equity and inclusion
Contract savings identified by DOGE that do not match with records they refer to in the Federal Procurement Data System
Contracts where the underlying document is for an entirely different contract

I don't know if Kirschner discussed this in his video, but I'm gonna cut and paste a portion of Heather Cox Richardson's letter that I receive in email form every evening. That f'king scumbag Enrique Terrio. Read what he did:
llThen, on February 21, a number of people pardoned after committing violent crimes, including Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio—who was sentenced to 22 years in prison—and Proud Boy Ethan Nordean (18 years) and Dominic Pezzola (10 years), as well as Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes (18 years) and Richard “Bigo” Barnett, who sat with his feet on a desk in then–House speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office (four and a half years), held a press conference at the U.S. Capitol to announce they were going to sue the Justice Department for prosecuting them.
Kyle Cheney of Politico reported that the group followed the route they took around the Capitol on January 6, 2021, then posed for photos chanting as they had that day: “Whose house? Our house.” Protesters nearby heckled the group, and when one of them put her phone near Tarrio’s face while he was talking to a photographer, he batted her arm away. Capitol Police officers promptly arrested him for assault.
A number of the January 6 rioters were visiting the Capitol from the nearby Conservative Political Action Conference being held in Maryland. There, MAGA participants continued to normalize Nazi imagery as both Steve Bannon and Mexican actor Eduardo Verástegui threw fascist-style salutes to the crowd.
Yesterday, Tarrio posted a video of himself following officers who defended the Capitol on January 6 though the lobby of a Washington hotel where the anti-Trump Principles First conference was taking place. According to Joan E. Greve of The Guardian, Tarrio followed officers Michael Fanone, Harry Dunn, Daniel Hodges, and Aquilino Gonell, saying: “You guys were brave at my sentencing when you sat there and laughed when I got 22 f*cking years. Now you don’t want to look in my eyes, you f*cking cowards.” Fanone turned and told him: “You’re a traitor to this country.”]]

What could go wrong?

The Daily Telegraph is a right wing rag. And it's worried Trump will crater the economy:
“It seems almost unavoidable that we are headed for a deep, deep recession,” said Jesse Rothstein, Berkeley professor and former chief economist at the US labour department.
Once the pace of job losses crosses a critical line, the multiplier effects can snowball suddenly.
Prof Rothstein said monthly non-farm payrolls – the barometer of US economic health watched closely by markets – could turn viciously negative by late spring, contracting at rates surpassed only during the worst months of Covid and the Lehman crisis in 2008.
“I think we’re going to see historically large drops. Losses of 400,000 a month are not implausible because people are getting nervous out there. “It is not just the federal employees being fired: it’s all the other people worried they could be next, so they are cutting back too,” he told The Telegraph.
Torsten Slok, of Apollo Global, said layoffs could approach 1m after factoring in the likely chain reaction through contractors. “We are starting to worry about the downside risks to the economy and markets,” he said.
Markets are implicitly betting that Trump’s trade wars are just bluster, but he restated on Monday night that his 25pc tariffs against Mexico and Canada would go ahead next week, which would instantly snarl up the North American auto industry.
“It would be devastating,” said Ford’s Jim Farley.
Judges have intervened but almost $300bn (£240bn) left from the Infrastructure Act remains in limbo. Freyr Battery has cancelled a $2.6bn plant in Georgia linked to the IRA. Kore Power has dropped its $1.2bn energy storage project in Arizona. Heliene has shelved a $200m solar-cell facility. Nel has halted its $200m gigafactory in Detroit. Prysmian will not be making undersea cables for offshore wind after all.
The US economy has been displaying late-cycle fatigue for some time, which is no doubt why Warren Buffett more than doubled his holding of cash and treasury bills to $334bn last year. We can only guess at his real reasons for battening down the hatches: perhaps he fears the delayed effects of past Fed tightening; or perhaps he dislikes anarchy.

DEI must DIE chill seeps northward:
Toronto’s Pride 2025 festival is in peril after three of its sponsors pulled their funding amid a massive corporate push against diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the U.S.
Kojo Modeste, executive director at Pride Toronto, told the Star that the companies, which operate on both sides of the border, have informed Pride Toronto that “they will no longer be supporting Pride because their mandate has changed.”
Pride Toronto, the non-profit organization behind the annual 2SLGBTQI+ parade, did not disclose the names of the sponsors as it hopes to persuade them to continue their funding.
It did say that two sponsors were “gold” partners, contributing at least $150,000 in cash and in-kind goods, and another was “silver,” contributing more than $100,000.
“We strongly believe that it has a lot to do with the shift that we’re seeing happening in the U.S.,” added Modeste.

I’m reminded of that “hitler in the bunker” end scene meme. I have to wonder if maggots will ever get to that point? Where they have to face the FACTS of what they’ve done and support?
by Anonymous | reply 170 | February 27, 2025 4:59 PM |
That's just it r170. The facts don't really matter to them. They are perfectly capable of shrieking howling and sobbing about anything any Democrat does ever and then completely ignoring the exact same thing, but ten times worse, as long as it's coming from inside the Cult. Anything done by Trump and Musk, for most of them, is simply part of some mysterious divine plan. I don't think there's anything that can be done about that, other than out voting, out organizing, swamping them with numbers outside the cult, assuming even that is possible right now.
I wonder how this Don't Buy Shit will go tomorrow. Boycotts tend to fail, but if there is a significant, noticeable drop at Amazon and Walmart and other places, well, it would get their attention at least.

Target has been hit with a “blackout” where Black Americans (mostly women, from what I can see) have stopped all purchases at Target because of their 180 on DEI now that dump has been reinstalled.
They’ve already lost $15BILLION. So boycotts and blackouts work. We just have to stick together.

MAGA has not backed down or come their senses. I don’t think it hyperbolic to say, if rump sent out death squads to kill democrats, they would cheer.
From Facebook:

I’m already seeing maga posts about how high prices are (and this will not shock anyone here) “no bid deal” now, how “Americans NEED to tighten their belts” because “they spend to frivolously” and “high prices will be good for us in the long run.”
Of course the media, from what I skim (headlines) aren’t hyping higher prices like they were under Biden. The media absolutely assassinated / assassinates Biden and Democrats.
We could be taken over by China and maga would cheer if Dotard said it was a good thing.

R258 That article makes it sound like they have been sharing intel up to now. If they were smart, they stopped the day T-rump was inaugurated, if not the day he was "elected".
I hate believing our (once?) allies now consider us the enemy. USA is not the enemy. T-rump, E-lon Musk and T-rump's administration is the enemy. They were drafted by Putin, planted and installed, along with all the other American citizens masquerading as Patriots. For anyone who hasn't grasped the concept, we have been fighting a war within since at least 2016. It would appear we have been fighting a civil war, but that's really not the case. We were invaded. There are thousands of moles all over the place. These moles are using the weapons of misinformation, disinformation and psychological warfare to convert every-day Americans into Putin's cause. They don't realize they have been and are being manipulated. They don't realize they've been complicit. I'm talking family members of many people here. I have a few.
We are living thru the greatest crime against mankind, as it is still being committed, in real time.
To use T-rump's terminology when referring to Ukrainian ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, we need him to be "taken out", (whatever that means).
It appears to be the only way this country, as it has been up to now, can survive. If it's not already too late!

NYT: Fearing Retribution, Trump Critics Muzzle Themselves
"The silence grows louder every day.
Fired federal workers who are worried about losing their homes ask not to be quoted by name. University presidents fearing that millions of dollars in federal funding could disappear are holding their fire. Chief executives alarmed by tariffs that could hurt their businesses are on mute.
Even longtime Republican hawks on Capitol Hill, stunned by President Trump’s revisionist history that Ukraine is to blame for its invasion by Russia, and his Oval Office blowup at President Volodymyr Zelensky, have either muzzled themselves, tiptoed up to criticism without naming Mr. Trump or completely reversed their positions.
More than six weeks into the second Trump administration, there is a chill spreading over political debate in Washington and beyond.
People on both sides of the aisle who would normally be part of the public dialogue about the big issues of the day say they are intimidated by the prospect of online attacks from Mr. Trump and Elon Musk, concerned about harm to their companies and frightened for the safety of their families. Politicians fear banishment by a party remade in Mr. Trump’s image and the prospect of primary opponents financed by Mr. Musk, the president’s all-powerful partner and the world’s richest man"

The Republican Party has railed against big and intrusive government for decades. However, the Trump cartel is intensely pursuing micromanagement with incompetence. They are intensely meddling in businesses, lifestyles, governmental and non-governmental agencies and organizations at will, and also with the financial well-being of the ordinary populous in negative ways. They have grossly overstepped what has traditionally been the role of the executive branch. It is blatantly authoritarianism and the GOP Congress supports such out of fear and/or ignorance..

The Trump cartel is truly a criminal enterprise. They cause chaos to line their own pockets and gain ruthless power of the lives of others. They do not care about other humans, animals, the environment, the quality of our lives. They enjoy disrespecting and hurting people. Steven Miller is a hate filled Nazi, the rest are no better.
Michael Cohen predicted this before long before the election that after establishing his own power rump would go after the fortunes of his enabling oligarchs. That's what Putin did. It's possible we'll see Elon Musk fall out of a window soon, after he signs over his billions to trump.

IMO, the non-billionaire CEO class that has to answer to pension funds - the old blue chips - will be so spooked and pissed by his stupid on again/off again tariffs, trade wars, threats to other countries that will be forced to turn the screws on him in order to save their own stock prices.
Once stockholders start screaming, shit will get real. The stock price drops too much and calls to Repug Reps and Senators will be made by these CEOs demanding they rein him in or lose support.
It’s going to be tech bros vs the old guard. People can live without Amazon, Facebook and the dead bird. They can’t live without food, clothing, soaps, medications and beverages.
If the old guard starts making calls to rethugs, then shit will get real and the traitor will either be removed, brought to heel or go with his tech bros. Honestly, if we all stopped using the dead bird, FB and Amazon, they’d go broke and go away (I hope)

The order extends relief to fired workers at the Departments of Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, Defense, Energy, Interior and Treasury.
"It is a sad day when our government would fire some good employee and say it was based on performance when they know good and well that's a lie," the judge said. "That should not have been done in our country. It was a sham in order to avoid statutory requirements."

Here's a transcript from The New Republic from a podcast by Greg Sargent's Daily Blast. He's interviewing Salon’s Amanda Marcotte who makes some brilliant observations during the interview. So sorry of the attending photo of a steaming pile of shit, but do check out Marcotte's articles at Salon and Sargent's podcasts.
From the transcript:
Marcotte: "It’s fascinating because everyone knows that tariffs are a sales tax. I always assumed that that was why Trump wants to impose them—because he’s a rich guy who wants to move the tax burden off of rich people and onto poor people."
Later in the interview: "..... it’s super clear that he’s repeating ideas that he heard from Elon Musk and Peter Thiel that are very radical, very strange. And he doesn’t really understand them, so it’s always a weird twisted watered-down version. It’s clear that they have pumped him up with the idea that he could be this historical figure who changes society to look like what they consider a utopian vision but is obviously a dystopian vision for nearly all people of the future.
Their ideas are incredibly radical. They basically want to end democracy and replace it with neo feudalism. He obviously doesn’t understand any of that, but he does understand, as a narcissist, being told that he could be the most important president that ever lived. It’s obvious to me that that’s what’s being whispered in his ear to get him to just sign onto stuff that he in the past would have understood was politically damaging in the extreme."
She used the word "neo feudalism" which exactly captures the direction they'd like to go. All the wealth, freedom, and choice at the top, draconian burdens at the bottom where people struggle to survive in a culture of oppression and barriers at every turn to excel and succeed.

R365, thanks for posting that it. It’s very sharp. For me, the most disturbing and convincing thing is its observation that Trump used to know when to declare victory and back down. Now he doesn’t understand what’s going on. He knows bad things are happening but he’s really clueless.

Judge James Bredar says "hold my beer."
"He ordered 18 federal agencies to reinstate probationary workers fired through what he called "illegal RIFs" by Monday at 1 p.m. Eastern daylight time, for a period of 14 days.
During that time, he said, the court would likely consider longer relief.
Bredar's order covers probationary employees nationwide, not just those in states named as plaintiffs in the lawsuit.
The sweeping list of agencies include some not covered by other rulings, including the Departments of Health and Human Services, Education, Transportation, and Homeland Security, as well as the Environmental Protection Agency and the General Services Administration."

FCI, I’ve been absent from this thread for a couple of weeks. I was mourning Demi’s Oscar loss for an entire week (yes, I had a lot emotionally invested in her winning and it was like the only thing I had to look forward to!)
But I’m back. The mood here in D.C. is very tense and edgy especially with all the federal worker fuckery. People are PISSED and I have several friends who are unexpectedly jobless all of a sudden. One of my neighbors lost her job via the USAID stuff, cannot pay her mortgage, and now must get on a waiting list in order to rent out her condo. This is a very competent woman. But not everyone has a security cushion of cash to get through an emergency such as this.
On that note, I recommend that people continue to withdraw cash from their accounts and hoard the cash at home. Do it every so often. I’ve been making two trips to the ATM per week. I would also recommend, besides purchasing a safe, investing in what I will call secret or discreet safes (household products with a false bottom kind of thing) and having those hiding in plain sight just in case. Amazon has a bunch of options.
FCI, I purchased a bunch of MRE food because of you!
I don’t have anything new to share but the idea of Trump and Elon going to Fort Knox chills me to the bone.
I have experienced (second-hand) that many Trump-supporting family members are afraid of contacting me. They are afraid to hear the truth. This is good. They know they have made a bad choice and things are turning too quickly for them. They are SCRAMBLING. The cult is not getting great messaging suggestions from their Fox handlers and you can tell.

A Republican town hall meeting erupted in a furious showdown after Rep. Chuck Edwards’ (R-NC) Asheville constituents grilled him over President Donald Trump’s foreign policy and Ukraine dealings — before the chaos spilled into the streets with protesters chanting: “Deport Musk!”
It all started when an audience member hit the congressman with a barrage of blunt questions.
“Do you support the annexation of Canada and/or Greenland?” he asked. “Do you like the way he treats the premier or the president of Canada, calling him ‘governor’? Is that the way you’d do as a diplomat? Is that, is that the way the United States should act to our closest neighbors?”
“You have nothing to say but lies,” a man shouted, prompting laughter and cheers from the audience. “You’re lying. I’m a veteran, you don’t give a fuck about me.”

Trump in a post to his Truth Social network went on to say that members of that House committee are "subject to investigation at the highest level" and baselessly accused them of being responsible for their own pardons, without Biden's knowledge.
Making his claim about the pardons, Trump cited alleged use of an autopen during Biden's administration.

- 1.65 million deaths from AIDS
- 500,000 children from lack of vaccines.
- 550,000 lives lost to hunger.
- 290,000 deaths from malaria as mosquito nets and treatments go unfunded.
- 310,000 deaths from tuberculosis without access to medication.
All to cut 0.3% of federal spending.

Remember Trump's $5M gold card visa? That ass-kisser Lutnick just bragged they've sold $5B worth of visas in one day. I'll bet there was zero vetting, and the overwhelming majority of these assholes are up to no good. No foreign prison for them though.
I also noticed Cantor Fitzgerald upgraded Tesla to a BUY. Yeah, okay. Lutnick is their former chairman. He stepped down in order to take the cabinet position of Commerce Secretary. He was also on the news last week trying to hawk Tesla shares to the public. One billionaire after another sent out by Trump to lift up Musk as his company continues to lose market share at an alarming rate.
Meanwhile that asshole Trump is now calling any violence against Tesla domestic terrorism. I wonder how it would be considered terrorism against the US government when they keep saying Musk is not a government employee. I hope they hang themselves on this one.

"Wisconsin voters will now get $100 if they agree to oppose "activist judges" from a group supported by Elon Musk after the tech billionaire reportedly pledged $100 million more to the Trump agenda."
"The PAC founded by Musk, America PAC took to X on Thursday, offering voters the opportunity to make their dissent against these "activist judges heard."
"Voters who sign a petition on their website ahead of the contested Wisconsin Supreme Court race will be given a "special offer" of $100 for signing. They can make an additional $100 for "each signer they refer."
by Anonymous | reply 481 | March 23, 2025 12:27 AM |
So, what can be done about all this? Impeach? (Yeah, we've heard that song before). Lawsuits? (A stacked SC has already granted him immunities and would likely go in his favor). Arrest? (Can't arrest a sitting president; and Trump would just pardon Musk).
Seriously, what can legally be done about this? What are people wanting Congress to do? It's great to see all of these demonstrations, but if Musk influenced the voting machines during the election, what's to say he won't do the same during the midterms?
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but I'm looking for some hope.

Hi everyone, this is OP. We’re creeping up on 600 posts, so I’m prepping the next thread. Just to let you all know, apparently, some (probably one) MAGA) has scoobied out that I’m the OP of the Treason threads and is FF’ing me with their sock puppets. Every time I post a new thread, or an anti-Dump post, I’ve been getting a 48-hour time out. It’s incredibly frustrating, and of course, TPTB don’t care/take any action.
Has this happened to anyone else? I would imagine FCI, or other frequent posters, might also be getting frequent time outs. I don’t know if there’s any recourse. I’ll continue to post new threads but I’m getting really tired of getting time outs because I’m calling out Dump and his antics. Any ideas re what we can do?

I was going to, r506 ( did post something minor that has nothing to do with Dump), but I think that thread will be deleted once Muriel sees it. A previous similar topic was deleted. DL’s owners don’t like any threads that point this stuff out, so I’m expecting my post at r505 to be removed some day. But I guess it doesn’t hurt to point this stuff out.

The march toward fascism continues. WaPo:
President Donald Trump’s crackdown on lawyers is having a chilling effect on his opponents’ ability to defend themselves or challenge his actions in court.
Biden-era officials said they’re having trouble finding lawyers willing to defend them. The volunteers and small nonprofits forming the ground troops of the legal resistance to Trump administration actions say that the well-resourced law firms that once would have backed them are now steering clear.
The result is an extraordinary threat to fundamental constitutional rights of due process and legal representation — and a far weaker effort to challenge Trump’s actions in court than during his first term.

This is getting scary. Ever since Paul Weiss Firm caved to Trump other firms are afraid to represent those whom Trump has a grudge against (which is everyone.) This is how dictators operate by fear and intimidation.
His latest target: "Trump Seeks Revenge on MSNBC Legal Analyst in New Executive Order"
"A few weeks after targeting another firm which had re-hired a lawyer who had worked in the Manhattan district attorney’s office during its investigation into Trump, the president singled out Jenner & Block. A primary reason: it once employed Andrew Weissmann, a current MSNBC legal analyst and former deputy to Robert Mueller, the special counsel who led an investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign’s ties to Russia." Weissmann is a “bad guy,” Trump griped at the White House Tuesday. The executive order he signed stated that Jenner & Block’s hiring of Weissmann was “entirely unjustified.” The firm “has abandoned the profession’s highest ideals,” it added.
"Many big firms “take actions that threaten public safety and national security, limit constitutional freedoms, degrade the quality of American elections, or undermine bedrock American principles,” the order stated."
'It went on to criticize firms for doing pro bono work."
HE IS INSANE.

ANOTHER DICK-TATOR MOVE - Trump officials invoke ‘state secrets’ in bid to avoid sharing deportation information
While U.S. District Judge James Boasberg shines a light on whether the Trump administration violated his orders on deportations, the government just attempted a legal version of a blackout. Invoking the “state secrets” privilege, the Justice Department told Boasberg that he has all the facts he needs and that the privilege invocation “forecloses further demands for details that have no place in this matter.”
“The Executive Branch hereby notifies the Court that no further information will be provided,” the DOJ wrote in Monday’s filing, arguing that the information the judge wants is subject to the privilege “because disclosure would pose reasonable danger to national security and foreign affairs.”

DOGE Cuts Update Today: 69 Programs Expected to Be Eliminated. Of course it's about child labor. Do take a guess if you think this admin is pro or con.
"Sixty-nine programs that combat child labor and forced labor abroad are reportedly set to be cut after the Trump administration canceled more than $500 million in grants allocated to them."
"John Clark, a Labor Department official, directed the agency's Bureau of International Labor Affairs to end all of its grants, according to an email obtained by The Washington Post."
"The terminated grants include congressionally authorized ones that allocate funding to nonprofits and nongovernmental organizations tackling child labor and forced labor in agriculture in Mexico, labor abuses in the garment industry in Southeast Asia and human rights abuses in fisheries in South America." The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) praised Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer and Deputy Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday for canceling "$577M in 'America Last' grants" that it said would yield $237 million in savings."
"The Solidarity Center, an international labor rights organization, said it had received termination notices for most of the grants it receives and expected remaining notices soon."
"The cuts threaten "to unravel decades of progress in combating forced and child labor, human trafficking and exploitation around the world," the organization said in a statement on Thursday."

"The HHS said the cuts are in addition to the 10,000 employees who have left their jobs by taking early retirement or the Trump administration's buyout offer and will decrease its workforce from 82,000 to 62,000 positions."
"The majority of the cuts will come from public health agencies. The Food and Drug Administration will lose about 3,500 workers, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will cut about 2,400 positions, and the National Institutes for Health will lose 1,200 workers."

The America’s Bank executive order says Treasury is to stop issuing and accepting virtually all paper checks by October 1st. There is an exception for people who can’t get access to EFT accounts, but how will that be determined? How will they prove it?
There have got to be over a million 80+ year old rural Social Security recipients who won’t have access to rapidly closing Social Security offices, understand EFT accounts, or even have Internet access (especially since Congresses‘s rural access legislation is being Ignored).
Millions more in cities are partially disabled.

R561, you should see how ecstatic they are with the deportation of the supposed gang members to that hellhole prison in ES. They don't care that these men were not given due process under the law. They don't understand Trump is doing this to see how far he can expand his powers. If he can do it to them, he can do it to anyone. As you said they seem to think they're exempt from his wrath that they're part of his team. If he ignores this judge's orders and gets away with this, he'll go after anyone he damn well pleases, citizen or not.

Some Good News: Trump withdraws nomination of Rep. Elise Stefanik for U.N. ambassador. Like they're going to hold the House in '26. Just going by those incredibly pissed off R seniors, I'd say that's a no.

I'm here I'm just so discouraged by all of this. It's sickening.
DCGay- I got plenty of tail in my days in DC (Obama years), but you seem to do well yourself! I had the scurrilous pastel belted one check me out once. Tempted, but no.

The point person enacting all this turmoil from the White House is Stephen Miller. H’s not always standing before the cameras, but he holds the strings and he pulls new ones each day.

Omg yes, I got so much gay Republican ass. I never dated one. There are so many closeted gays in DC it's ridiculous. I'm not exaggerating when I say it felt like over 50% of them were. I dished here in 2018 on some of my friends hooking up with a few GOP congressmen, one of them being Trey G. Ugh. Huge messy bottom.

R571, it's also Steve Bannon's playbook.
A couple of his quotes - “The Democrats don’t matter,” Bannon told Lewis. “The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with shit.”
“This is not about persuasion: This is about disorientation.”

Protests in Central Ohio ballroom. Republicans Senators & Congressmen are “no show”.
[quote] Organizers called the Saturday event a "town hall" and set empty chairs on stage for Ohio's Republican senators, Bernie Moreno and Jon Husted, who did not respond to organizers' invitations to attend. Moreno was at the Tuscarawas County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday.

R574 Unless I misunderstood his post, FCI himself didn't hook up with Trey aka the Banjo Player in Deliverance.
Gosh, FCI, I hope not. I don't want to lose all the respect I have for you! :)

Trump just ended collective bargaining for the federal unions. He's trying to gut the unions.
Grassley wants Congress to halt universal injunctions, amid pushback to Trump orders. That son of a bitch saw how upset his constituents were yet here he is trying to help Trump wrest control of the judicial branch. You'd think at 91 he would be trying to mend his ways. Nope.
by Anonymous | reply 585 | March 28, 2025 4:32 AM |
At 91, he's just thinking stay alive another day, and fuck everything else.
It's the rest of us that need to stop dicking around and give a fuck.

Okay, since it's probably just me, I'm going to say, a few people are going off the deep end, it seems. I don't dislike anybody here, and I don't wish to attack anybody here, but I suspect some people are actually losing their minds. Going off the deep end. Things are bad, and will get worse, but some people are losing their ever loving shit.
That is all.

I still want to know the explanation for that horrified expression on Grassley's face when he walked out of that senate hearing along with Dianne Feinstein back in 2017.
I'm not searching for the link to post. I'm thinking most of you know which clip I'm talking about.

Susan Collins is apparently beyond concerned:
Senator Susan Collins, Republican of Maine and the chairwoman of the Appropriations Committee, has accused President Trump of illegally refusing to spend $2.9 billion approved by Congress, teaming with Democrats in an early salvo in the simmering struggle between Congress and the White House over which has the ultimate power over federal spending.
Collins initiated a letter to the White House that was signed by Senator Patty Murray of Washington, the panel’s senior Democrat. The letter asserted that the administration had violated the six-month spending law approved by Congress earlier this month.

R585, Republicans used to LOVE the idea that a district court judge could issue a nation-wide injunction. Remember when they brought those anti-abortion lawsuits in front of one crazy judge in Texas?

Hillary writes a NYT Op-Ed:
How Much Dumber Will This Get?
If there’s a grand strategy at work here, I don’t know what it is. Maybe Mr. Trump wants to return to 19th-century spheres of influence. Maybe he’s just driven by personal grudges and is in way over his head. As a businessman, he bankrupted his Atlantic City casinos. Now he’s gambling with the national security of the United States. If this continues, a group chat foul will be the least of our concerns, and all the fist and flag emojis in the world won’t save us.

As if a protest is gonna stop anything at this point. Americans don't protest anymore. They're too busy thinking about themselves. Even you fussy faggots don't know how to do it anymore.
You won't be hurling any bricks. You just got a new Nivea cream treatment!
You won't be doing a sit-in at some evil corporation's offices. "The White Lotus" is on tonight, and you've got to see who sleeps with the bellhop!
You won't boycott. Generic items just aren't allowed in your house!
And who has time to read before voting? Unless the ballot contains Bowen Yang or the queens on Drag Race, you're not interested. Maybe if John McCain wore something FIERCE, you'd go vote, okay?
