Tragically eaten alive by a grizzly on video. Audio only is posted on YouTube - still chilling and upsetting. I think the GF got it too.
Handsome but dumber than a bag of rocks.

I love that documentary! What a loveable lunatic. And Werner Herzog’s narration is hilarious. Yes, they get eaten in the end, but the doc is a lot of fun up until that part.

Why would anyone want to listen to a man being eaten by a Grizzly?

Wasn't the tape destroyed? This isn't even real

This was the video that my ironic comment was for.
The video I posted at R6 just shows him to be an asshole.

I think R3 has it right - at least that's what I feel - a lovable lunatic - cute also - well at least he didn't just get hit by a bus or something - I guess he had a more romantic death......I just think there are a lot of people in this world we could feed to the bears, and he wasn't one of them - that's all.

no R5. The documentary claims the lens cap was on the camera, so there was never any video - only audio.

Fun fact: this dummy auditioned to play Woody on "Cheers". I can't believe his idiot girlfriend went with him. He was delusional and I'mn sure he ended up hurting the bears since the ones who killed him were probably euthanized. Assholes like this are dangerous.

I agree with you R11. He was batshit. I'm not defending him - but he wasn't trying have malice.....there are so many people that harm other people - like the people about to assume power that hate and hurt and don't care .......... I can imagine some of them being fed to bears......not some dilusional himbo ....

And the bears he was safeguarding were already on protected land.
I remember the scene of him talking to foxes and crying.
