I certainly do not dislike Joe. I think he’s a promising actor, but I haven’t seen that big a range yet. In HS1 he was mainly playing himself. He wasn’t cast for his superior acting skills but because he looks like the spitting image of Charlie Spring and Wiccan. In HS2 I think a more experienced actor would have been able to convince the director to portray the mental instability better. It should have been an underlying feeling of uneasiness with us viewers but instead he just says he’s ok until he talks about it. Even his stans seems to give rather backhanded praise as a fantastic actor for some with no prior experience and training and acting with such a poor script.
