Random complaint, but a bunch of The Crown clips have been coming up on my FYP and part of why I'm dreading the pacing for S3 is that I can't really see how they're going to give the more serious scene space to breathe. They barely have room for that as it is.

R544 Maybe some of the supporting cast. Joe and Kit don't really pop up at events they don't have some sort of tie to. I guess Olivia would be a tie, but I don't think that'd be enough.

R545 I think they have time if they give an episode for the i love you scene, another for Charlie telling his parents and leaving for inpatient, 3-6 is Charlie at the hospital, the Menorca scenes could fit in episode 3 or 4, they have time to show whatever plot they are doing for Tao and Elle/Tara and Darcy throughout the season but especially in episode 5 or 7. What else is there? Then the carnival in episode 8 and Nye scene in episode 8 and the birthday scene in episode 2. Everything just has to flow perfectly.

I have think everyone is bit confused because S2 was such a short amount of time. I think there is time in 8 eps but the pacing is going to feel crazy compared to six weeks in S2. It’s also a really weird way to run the timeline of the show but I guess that’s down to Alice not being an experienced screenwriter. I thought there was weird padding in S2 so maybe it will be fine. As a country boy I thought the bonfire was about the most realistically teenage thing they did in the show but realistically it didn’t really serve much purpose.
