Is Kari Lake woebegone?

Thanks, OP

[quote] Who is this Chase Oliver asshole that fucked up the Georgia election? We could be done with that tonight but now we'll have to go to a runoff.
Wouldn't his votes more likely have gone to Walker?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 9, 2022 5:32 AM |
Gretchen Whitmer wins! Go back to your soft core porn career Tudor.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 9, 2022 5:32 AM |
How does the early counting on Nevada compare to earlier years? It looks promising but I don’t want to get my hopes up!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 9, 2022 5:32 AM |
MSNBC just announced Whitmer won.. I thought they already called that.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 9, 2022 5:32 AM |
Oz is always telling people to eat vegetables and he just got beat by one. Smh.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 9, 2022 5:32 AM |
Who does a GA runoff favor? My friends in Atlanta are pretty certain there will be a runoff.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 9, 2022 5:33 AM |
If there is indeed 5% still out in Georgia, Warnock needs 60% of the remaining vote to get a majority. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it could happen.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 9, 2022 5:34 AM |
R7, you should only listen to the poll troll when it comes to official projections on DL anyway. That was your mistake. Listening to the Republican troll who tries to Will election results in real time.
Both have been here for ages but the Poll Troll is legit.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 9, 2022 5:34 AM |
😄 Oz lost his TV show AND the election.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 9, 2022 5:34 AM |
I am so happy about Arizona. I thought I was going to have to move. This probably pushes AZ into the blue state column.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 9, 2022 5:35 AM |
A runoff favored warnock last time.
It also depends on if by that time the senate outcome depends on it.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 9, 2022 5:35 AM |
What about Arizona?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 9, 2022 5:36 AM |
Right now NYTimes has Dems as 65% likely to win Arizona and 54% likely to win Nevada.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 9, 2022 5:36 AM |
R11, I meant on MSNBC. I thought they had called it earlier. I do not need a history lesson on Poll Troll.. I've been around for years watching the line to blow him increase exponentially.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 9, 2022 5:36 AM |
If Nevada goes blue, Georgia won't be as crucial. So far...looking good for NV. Early still...
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 9, 2022 5:37 AM |
Woke up to some great news! Thank god I was wrong. I'm an eternal pessimist so I assumed the worst. I really though the woke agenda of the dems would be their downfall, but it didn't happen. I guess people are happy to see children mutilated. Oh well. I guess one could always hope the dems could change their position on this issue, but I'm not holding my breath.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 9, 2022 5:37 AM |
I'm sure it's been discussed in previous threads, but I watched video of how crazy voting was in AZ this year.. with people dropping off their ballots covering their faces and taping over their license plates.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 9, 2022 5:38 AM |
I'm going to believe in the tremendous wisdom of R16 and go to bed now -hopeful that the sun will come out tomorrow (it's been raining here all day).

What happens if Republicans do get a slim majority in the House? What would it mean for the Jan 6 committee investigations? What would it mean for potential impeachments of Biden?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 9, 2022 5:40 AM |
🤔 I hope Kari Lake was wearing a life jacket.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 9, 2022 5:40 AM |
I live in Reno and the NV Senate race will be a squeaker. But Laxalt is not liked here, even by Republicans. I'd put him in the Ted Cruz or Greg Abbott category, where he's an obnoxious douche that people dislike but the Republicans will vote for him because they'd vote for a giant turd pile as long as it wasn't a Democrat.
We probably won't know the outcome for days. We've also got some lunatic election deniers on the ballot too, like this Sigal Chattah bitch running for Attorney General, Jim Marchant for Secretary of State and crazy big titted Michelle Fiore (who was also raided by the FBI and has all kinds of tax issues) running for Treasurer. And don't get me started on this crazy Jeanne Herman bitch up here in Washoe. We got a lot of crazies here, I just hope Clark and Washoe Counties come through for Dems.

Did Mayra Flores even make it a full 6 months?
Another Dem flip.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 9, 2022 5:42 AM |
And before you call me a troll, I'm not. It's possible to support the dems and still be against the transing of children and the homeless issue. Both need to be dealt with. I'm hoping they come to their senses soon. At least now abortion might be saved.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 9, 2022 5:43 AM |
R26, if Republicans spend all of their time on "Hunter Biden" bullshit, their time in power will be short-lived. If that imbecile MTG dictates the focus, they are fucked. Americans are tired of this MAGAt bullshit and they better realize that fact.

Their whole anti-abortion push was their kiss of death. You're not going to foist that shit on a population who has been used to having it for nearly 50 years.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 9, 2022 5:46 AM |
R32 In CA they have put more $$ and policy (state and local) to deal with homeless populations than any other state... the problem that there ARE so many more homeless in temperate CA. The notion that Dems don't do anything about homeless people is BS.

R19/R32 isn't even American, so I don't know why the fuck he's in this thread screaming "woke, woke, woke" every five minutes. Here's what he said in the previous thread:
[quote] The Dems need to drop the fucking woke shit. Defunding the police and mutilating gay children is not the way to go. Remember this if the Dems lose. Learn from it. People care about the economy, about gas prices and food prices. This should have been the message. Instead they wasted it on woke crap. People don't give a shit about anything but their own economy. Pushing the woke shit was a bad idea and it might cost them the election. Btw, I want Dems to win. I'm Norwegian and I'm a social democrat. However, these past few days I have seen a ton of people on twitter, young people, saying they're voting republican for the first time. They're all sick of Dems pushing the mutilation of children, defunding the police etc. They're even trying to redefine pedos as MAPs and banning the word groomers.
Put that trolling fucker on IGNORE!
by Anonymous | reply 56 | November 9, 2022 5:51 AM |
Fetterman is going to be the guy everyone wants to meet in the Senate. he's going to be very popular just in his presence

5 New York Dem House positions going Repub right now.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | November 9, 2022 5:54 AM |
The red wave ended up being a red bloodletting.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | November 9, 2022 5:55 AM |
Glad dems won and saved abortion. Sad nothing will be done about the mutiltion of children, especially the transing of gay children, and the homeless problem. I support dems on most issues, but the harmful gender ideology has got to go. It is dangerous for women and gays. Also, the homeless problem has got to be dealt with. I'm so sick of dems standing by and not doing anything.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | November 9, 2022 5:55 AM |
Ben Shapiro's twitter: "From red wave to red wedding."
by Anonymous | reply 64 | November 9, 2022 5:57 AM |
[quote]At this point, GA is going to be a runoff, right?
Yes. With 96% of the GA vote in, neither Warnock or Walker will get to 50% plus 1. At the moment Warnock is leading by about 14,000 votes, which bodes well for the Runoff.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | November 9, 2022 5:57 AM |
[quote]But isn't Palin on the ballot again?
Yes. She lost the special election to Peltola to temporarily fill a seat. She’s on the ballot again in a regular election. Right now Peltola has 44.6, Palin has 27 and some other Republican has 25. I don’t know if this is like the special election where it goes to a run off if nobody gets to 50.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | November 9, 2022 5:58 AM |
Another thing I'm very happy....no more of those stupid campaign ads on TV! It was ridiculous.

Republicans in shock? Better send in the Cockgobbler tonight to calm down all of the closet cases. Hope you douched well, Aaron.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | November 9, 2022 5:59 AM |
R56 I can still care about the election. Newsflash: the election is news all over the world. And what is so bad about what I said anyway? I'm a social democrat. I support the dems. That still doesn't mean I endorse the harmful gender ideology. You shouldn't either as it means tranaing the gay away and mutilating children. It's possible to support the Deomractic Party and still not be totally onboard with everything. I am however glad abortion is now probably saved.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | November 9, 2022 5:59 AM |
In Nevada, Democrats are currently ahead in all the statewide office races, and in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House races that are contested this year. The incumbents are all ahead. Nevada is now a purple state, and Republicans here are really bitter about it and hate Californians for it. Migration from California to Nevada (including me and my husband) has shifted Nevada from red to purple and Democrats currently hold most of the big offices.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | November 9, 2022 6:00 AM |
Go ahead, Republicans. Keep using the same fucking playbook about "fraud" and letting that orange fool and his flying monkeys destroy your party. Get the fucking hint. The average voter wants normalcy with elections, not fucking clowns standing in front of landscaping companies. Get rid of the Steve Bannons and Steve Millers and just run on your usual greed and tax cuts for the wealthy.

by Anonymous | reply 75 | November 9, 2022 6:03 AM |
R71 That was my thought too when I moved to Reno from the Midwest, that all of the Californians moving to NV would turn it more blue. Except in Reno a lot of those Californians that were Republicans looking to get out of liberal California and go someplace where they don't have to pay state income tax. Maybe it's different in Clark County and Las Vegas/Henderson.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | November 9, 2022 6:03 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 103 | November 9, 2022 6:15 AM |
It’s weird in NY right now where it’s cool to be seen as a democrat that is “bold” and will “go against the grain” and it’s so gagging and monkey see monkey do behavior up there. It’s not going against the grain when everybody is saying it now.
Everybody is a copycat in Ny more than any state anywhere. It’s absurd. These stupid memes become like code words for how “on trend by being off trend” one can be. They are getting as insufferable as Florida. It’s the same people actually. They moved from Ny.
The heart of it is this: these democrats are old and rich now and need to get back to their roots. They need to get off Facebook and Twitter too. Both are useless cesspits.
Why someone hasn’t made better social media is a disgrace to the country that used to invent everything.

R106, see R97.
Also Fux and whatever bots got NY politics trending on social media every single day for the past two months. And also R99 is on to something.
And also, I cannot answer for sure as to why Illinois wasn't subjected to it, but I suspect it has something to do with the the exceptionally strong connection NY has to FL. The drumbeat has been relentless here. A toxic combination of misogony added to Hochul's vulnerability at not having been elected and some legitimate concerns about crime were just enough to push a few candidates over the edge.
But make no mistake: the "wave" was anything but organic.

That NYT forecast is suspect. They're still counting Boebert as one of the Repubs who've "won or are favored to win," with a 73% chance of victory. That seems like a bit much at this point.
I do see that their number of "Repubs Won or Likely to Win" has moved from 220 to 219, and they now have 10 tossups, so that's something.

Since I expected a "Republican bloodbath," no, I'm not worried in the least. WTF would I be worried at all when I always thought the GOP would take the house which is what almost always happens in the midterms. I'm not the one who should worry -- it's the Republicans who need to worry because after what happened tonight, they better rethink their plans to waste their two years on bullshit investigations that Trump wants, because the American people ain't having it with MAGAt bullshit.
by Anonymous | reply 144 | November 9, 2022 6:46 AM |
3) The Speaker is not just who won the most votes.
The House must vote repeatedly until it elects a Speaker. A vote for Speaker hasn’t gone to a second ballot since 1923.
4) Heading into Tuesday, McCarthy probably had a range of 7-10 Republicans who wouldn’t support him for Speaker no matter what. That number could grow.
5) McCarthy may be able to command the votes so long as he can keep former rival Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) on his side (remember, Jordan ran against McCarthy for Leader in 2018) and if the California Republican stays within the good graces of former President Trump.
6) It wouldn’t take much for Mr. Trump to throw McCarthy under the bus. Especially considering the GOP’s tepid success when expectations were so lofty.
7) But there is a reason McCarthy didn’t become Speaker in 2015 when former Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) resigned. McCarthy announced on Fox that Republicans developed the 1/6 committee just to undercut the presidential bid of Hillary Clinton.
8) It was as though McCarthy said the quiet part out loud.
Support for McCarthy to succeed Boehner was already shaky. But some Republicans were already looking for a reason to oppose McCarthy. They found it in the Benghazi remark – and McCarthy was toast.
9) History could repeat itself.
After being promised a “red wave,” some Republicans will look for a reason to dump McCarthy. Tuesday’s weak tea at the ballot box could justify some GOP opposition to McCarthy for Speaker.
10) Moreover, if McCarthy does become Speaker, he is going to have to veer FAR to the right to meet the demands of the House Freedom Caucus on a host of issues – ranging from impeachments to funding the government to raising the debt ceiling.
11) Freedom Caucus members – like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) – will demand a pound of flesh from McCarthy in exchange for them supporting him for Speaker.
12) In addition, the calling card of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is passing major bills with the most narrow of margins. She’s done it for two decades. McCarthy has never demonstrated strong vote counting prowess. McCarthy could face instant management problems.
13) In fact, McCarthy’s first challenge could come in mid-December. That’s when a bill to avert a government shutdown comes due.
14) If McCarthy doesn’t take a stand against that bill and do what the Freedom Caucus wants, those same members could hold that against him if and when he stands for Speaker on the House floor on January 3.
As we say, it will be “about the math” when it comes to McCarthy.

Against some strong odds democrats managed very well Tuesday, though we won't know full extent until later in week. In case of Atlanta perhaps not until run off election.
One huge takeaway is what Mitch McConnell himself stated many months ago; republicans have (or had) a candidate problem.
GOP put up some bat shit crazy candidates including rabid Trump supporters, and it backfired big time.
If GOP does manage to get majority in the House it isn't going to be very large. Last time GOP had majority it was like trying to herd a pack of wild cats. Speaker had to turn to Pelosi as minority party leader to get needed votes for any "must pass" legislation to get through.
Should it come to pass GOP does take over House, if they believe path to success in 2024 is by bottling up any and everything Biden and or democrats want to get done, they'd better think again.
One of largest winners Tuesday night is Biden. He is one of few POTUS in living memory whose party did not suffer losses in mid-term elections. This even though all signs (such as economy) were pointing in that direction.
Americans may have not liked democrats and or some of their policies, but many just weren't buying what GOP were selling either. In such cases it's better to go with the devil that you know...

R149
Even with Tuesday's win of senate races democrats will only have a simple majority. To get anything done requires sixty (60) votes, this unless Biden, Schumer and Pelosi intend to continue governing via reconciliation process for next two years.
If House flips to GOP then democrats can kiss use of reconciliation process goodbye. House simply will likely not send such bills to senate for votes.

by Anonymous | reply 169 | November 9, 2022 7:31 AM |
Republicans anticipated something like 60 seats in the house, but it looks more like 13, I think. Here's the thing: A lot of Trump's trash won their primaries, but when put in the general, reality set in and they lost because most people don't like crazy election deniers. Also, some of the wins the Republicans got only happened because Republican-led states gerrymandered their states and districts were redrawn to favor Republican candidates or a court stepped in and screwed over the Dems. This is the case in both FL and NY.

The reason districts were redrawn in NYS is because it was court orders. I believe the court was dominated by Democratic appointments. But the Democrats in Albany had so gerrymandered the lines that a NYS court in a very rare action in the state stepped in and threw out the map.
If you oppose gerrymandering by Republicans you need to oppose it by Democrats.
Also Long Island is naturally fiscally and law and order Republican. It's just returning to its natural state. You have to live here to grasp that intuitively.
If Zeldin hadn't been such a Trumpster he would have won. That really hurt him. I knew conservative Republicans (of the old school) who were not happy to support him because he voted to challenge the electoral votes.

Obviously there's always room for improvement in the Democratic Party, that's just the nature of political parties, but the fact that Democrats did so well in midterms with two big things against them -- "it's the economy, stupid" and the historical trend of the incumbent president losing party seats in their first midterm -- means Democrats are doing a LOT right.
by Anonymous | reply 240 | November 9, 2022 9:26 AM |
What we have right now is a situation where Trump is telling the GOP and his followers that they're losing because they didn't back his "stolen election" lies, and they didn't back him personally 100% like they should have, and he's going to go into another run insisting that he's the only way to save the Republicans. But the Repugs underperformed to an embarrassing degree tonight, and DeSantis is going to see that and think he has a chance to beat Trump, plus of course McConnell wants the numbers Trump brings in without the insanity, and the entire party will suffer for it.
by Anonymous | reply 241 | November 9, 2022 9:28 AM |
I voted for her but I never expected Stacey Abrams to win. I can live with Kemp for another 4 years as a lame duck Governor. He's a lowlife, but he never got anywhere near as crazy as so many other republicans. Frankly, I always hoped Stacey would run for Atlanta Mayor first and then move up with ladder. She simply has no firm political past to run on. Hopefully she'll consider that when the time comes for the next mayor's race. I think she'd win handily.

The guy in r244 didn't go back that far (because of character limits) but JFK lost 4 seats in his midterm, LBJ lost 47 seats, Nixon 12 in his first midterm, and Ford lost 48.
Reagan lost 26, Bush I lost only 4, and of course Bush II gained because of the patriotic 9/11 momentum in 2002.
Biden's on track to having one of the best midterms of anyone since JFK.

Media and the Christian Church are no longer an effective mass manipulation tool favoring the right-wing.
2016 was a win for Russian Troll bot farms, because nobody knew what was going on (Putin working behind the scenes to give the win to Trump). People became more aware of the manipulation they face and that is reflected in the actual voting results.
All the Republicans have left is blatant cheating and hoping the right wing judges will let them get away with it.

[quote]Florida and Ohio are right-wing shitholes now. I don’t understand how Ohio continues to move further right, while it’s neighbor Pennsylvania moves further left each year.
The answer is very simple: The Ohio Democratic Party has ceased to be effective for decades. It just refuses to organize itself and put forward candidates with a chance of winning. For example: the governor's race. DeWine was going to win no matter who his opponent was. But, the Dems put forward the Mayor of Dayton, a fiscally bankrupt city in the heart of fentanyl country, simply because she was a woman. He primary opponent was the Mayor of Cincinnati, a city that pretty much rebuilt itself during his tenure. But, he is a white man. Her campaign consisted of a few commercials in which she seemed like she was running to be state mom, instead of governor. She never even bothered to campaign in the only area of the state that is pure blue - the northeast. Tim Ryan, the better choice for Senate, was undone by the DNC which pulled his funding and sent it to Florida ( how did that turn out?) . Vance got a huge influx of cash. Basically, the Democrats abandoned the working man and the blue collar jobs disappeared. The state gov made sure that all of the funding went to the city of Columbus and its suburbs while the Dem cities were left to rot. It's mostly a case of the loss of the blue collar worker and, mostly, the utter incompetence of the Democratic Party. Obama won the state twice, but he did it by ignoring the state organization. Hillary came to northeast Ohio just once and relied on the state organization.

R322 The type of votes left to count in NV (most in very blue Clark County) bode well for the democrats retaining that senate seat. Kelly has enough of a margin in AZ to most likely retain his senate seat. Lake-Hobbs will be close.
Unlike 2020, I have a feeling that the late and day of drop-off ballots left to count will favor democrats more than republicans since the GOP heavily demonized drop-off voting.
R329 I do agree, Whitmer and Shapiro are two rising stars for the Dems. They need to lean into both.

DeSantis is not going to do as well as people think nationwide. So far he’s been able to win in a red state that is heavily gerrymandered and controlled by Republicans at every local level. I highly suspect there’s been some cheating going on there.
He also has an incredibly unlikable personality.

A lot of great things happened and the country (and the world) has for the most part dodged a bullet. But I don't call it a great night for Dems, I call it a lucky break for us in real life. It is an opportunity for the Democrats to hew closer to the center. Were there many (any?) crushing victories over Republicans? Too many margins too close to take anything for granted, in my view. This wasn't supposed to happen this way, but thank God it did. It would be a mistake to consider it too much of an endorsement, I think. We got a second chance, so what do we do with it?
by Anonymous | reply 372 | November 9, 2022 12:25 PM |
The Democrats need to take a more nuanced approach to the Rust Belt states from now on. Michigan and Pennsylvania are now blue-leaning, while Ohio is solidly red, and Wisconsin seems to be red-leaning. Those states can’t be looked at monolithically and need varying strategies.

So that's going to put a lot of attention and pressure on the whole woke space and Dems better get organized with their message. It is true that Nancy did a massive job trying to tamp them down but I don't think the DeSatan push into the space is going to give Dems the ability to ignore it. There were no bans on the ballot that I'm aware of. R436 - Abortion is an issue that affects a lot of young voters - whether Rep or Dem. Imagine if you're the typical Republican douche and you knock up a random hooker. You would vote those who promise to legalize abortion (Dems).
However, I do agree that other woke issues like Trans and Illegal Immigrants will be the downfall of the Dems in the next election. Remember, politics is an art of subtraction. Trans voters would vote the lesser evils anyway (Dems) even if you won't put them high on your talkpoints or legislative agenda. And the illegal immigrants would vote against their interests, as usual.

Abortion isn't JUST abortion. It's a bellwether for any number of things that a lot of people care about. People can not directly care about abortion one way or the other, but can figure out that if they'll take away abortion rights, they'll take away other cherished rights and protections - e.g., voting, LGBT, general legal rights - which has already started. So the conclusion that "abortion" was a key issue goes way beyond people who are "pro choice" - not to dismiss all the people for whom actual abortion is a key issue to them.

Trans voters would vote the lesser evils anyway (Dems) even if you won't put them high on your talkpoints or legislative agenda. And the illegal immigrants would vote against their interests, as usual.

You people screaming trolls are trolls, most active in the morning. I assume the Metamucil hasn't kicked in yet so you're crankier than the typical old queen.
The fact is, Dems survived by too narrow a margin for anyone to be crowing this morning. Thank God they did, but Dems need to find the center again.

R507 This statement of Newt is historical, Epic irony. Does he even get it?

R579. Only according to FUX Entertainment News.
by Anonymous | reply 583 | November 9, 2022 3:39 PM |
R565 they did, but a judge threw it out and the person who then redrew the map valued compactness and competitiveness.

R556 Right, let's put a "real villain" in charge of a state and see what entertainment ensues. Right.

Yet a much broader margin than anyone had a right to expect.

Sure, Mary R581. It's always the Dems that need to adjust their priorities, never the Repugs. This midterm has proven they're doing just fine!
Oh, my sides!

It’s rise and shine time in HST (Hawaii Standard Time).

Katie Porter is in a tight race due to redistricting, but I really hope she pulls off a victory. She's a valuable asset to the Dems.

Fine and dandy but it wasn't commanding. There's work to be done.

R580 Please look at the NYT Colorado voter map to see what I'm saying about Mesa County. I'm on your side too, just a little anxious.

It certainly was for me!

Due to redistricting. Who the fuck did that in CA, no less r589.?

Thank you, Mr. Obvious.

OK, you fools keep screaming for the Clinton restoration then, as usual. The stupid on this site....

The only thing this lesson has taught us the Republican brand is toxic right now.
The President's party is supposed to get clobbered during their first midterm, and there is record inflation and unrest right now.
The opposition party should have cleaned up, they blew it, because Trump has tainted the brand.

do we keep the house?
any hope?
by Anonymous | reply 597 | November 9, 2022 3:47 PM |
I'm sorry. I may have been mistaken about the redistricting hurting Katie Porter. She may be in a slightly bluer district now, but it's Orange County, so it's always a tougher bet for Democrats unfortunately.

The upset I'm dying to see would be Boebert losing. But NYT shows where the remaining votes are and who they're expected to be for, and while I didn't properly crunch the numbers or anything, just glanced over it, I'm guessing she'll win by around a thousand votes. Sucks. Still hoping though....

Where are we with Lake? Has she officially lost yet?
by Anonymous | reply 600 | November 9, 2022 3:48 PM |
The biggest loser yesterday was Trump.
When DeSantis in his victory speech was going on and on about the "woke," it kind of sounded weird.
The anti-woke message failed miserably everywhere outside of Florida. I doubt the GOP can run on "the Dems are ruining your children" in 2024.
by Anonymous | reply 601 | November 9, 2022 3:48 PM |
But no one here is doing that, R595. You just claim they are.
by Anonymous | reply 602 | November 9, 2022 3:48 PM |
R593 in CA we have a bipartisan process to redistrict - avoiding gerrymandering for the most part. It's actually a model to have districts formed more logically, and not creating the possibility for more extreme (right and left) candidates. This kind of "balanced" redistricting is an antidote to American acceptance of extremes.
Porter will still win. She a great American leader.

R596 nailed it.

R599 That's what I'm trying to say! Mesa County alone could tip it over to her, based on NYT's voter map. But R580 rather call hastily for victory and call me - a Yale cum laude grad - not bright. LOL! :/
