"Wake up Joe", what does that even mean? Bash and his family were there for him when no one knew who he was, when he needed someone the most. He's a big boy now he doesn't need Bash's support or to hold his hand. He's no longer the shy little boy from bumfuck. He's a star, an overnight sensation; he can take care of himself. So, did you miss out the part where Joe mentioned that he has had to delete all social media platforms cause of the constant hate he has been receiving right from the start, that is from way before the show even aired? And now people want him to speak up for Bash? Like I get the sentiment behind it and it would be great if he spoke up for Bash, but Joe is not in a much better position than Bash in the hate comments department.

The best thing to do is what they are doing which is just stay off social media. It was nice of Bash to defend Joe, but Joe really doesn't need to bring attention to a minor group of morons who are hating on Bash. Most people would wondering wtf Joe was even talking about. Joe's issue was a lot more wide spread and still continues to this day and as R21 says actually hurts Joe's feelings to the extent that he constantly deletes social media apps.

Bash has said he doesn't care what people think of him. I don't know how true that is, but he seems like a really confident and happy person so I tend to believe him. I am guessing he's not too bothered a 15 year old hating him on the internet.

To be clear I think people hating bash over the Johnny Depp thing is absurd; and I think a very small number actually just loathed him before and wanted an excuse, and a majority are hyper woke fans who don’t want to lose social Justice credit. But being called ugly without provocation is different from a “callout” for “supporting an abuser”.

Bash saying “don’t call Joe ugly” is a lot less controversial and likely to get both of them mired in shit than Joe saying “leave bash alone, it’s his choice to support JD / bash doesn’t owe you a statement.” Honestly either of them mentioning that trial or Johnny / Amber at all would be idiotic at this point and riding it out is easily the smarter option. Other relatives exist, aunts, uncles, cousins etc. I work on the same team as a relative of Bash’s & have for several years. I’m a 30+ year old senior manager, this person is my colleague. I’ve never asked them anything related to Bash unless they’ve brought it up because in the real, working world, it would be very weird of me to ask questions about two teenagers I don’t know.
