R5. Yup. When a thread gets overloaded with replies, they get paywalled. Only members are allowed to post. And most of us here don’t pay, so we make a new thread every time the previous one gets paywalled.

One of the cast said in an interview they released today (the actor who plays Darcy) that they thought a social media break or cutback would be good for everyone in the cast and cited Kit and Will as examples of people with good relationships with social media. Obviously the obsessive and young fan base may be a large part of that for everyone but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was also a Netflix or film studio decision given that Joe, bash, Kit and even the more minor actors like Kizzy and Tobie are way less active now and they all stopped posting a lot around the same time. Now that the show has already been renewed it makes sense to hit pause on a lot of the cast fanservice and to encourage them all to be more interactive again when season 2 starts filming in the fall.

Croft has a great face and looks like a hybrid of Timothee Chalamet, Grégoire Colin and Théodore Pellerin. I love his nose.

If you merge Joe & Bash, I feel you might get someone who looks a bit Timothee-esk! The pointed features, the curly hair, the super skinny..

Seems unlikely Bash is looking to "formally" come out any time soon, but I wonder if his complete lack of Joe posting will continue. If Joe does head to London right after A levels as I presume he will, then I expect we'll see a lot more posts of people running into them together but will there be a continued use of both their Instagrams as solely promo and professional photoshoots? I'll give them credit for making the relationship work so well for over a year at their age, coming in from different cities and levels of fame, and hope they're happy and can sustain it

They both seem to have decided to just use their public instas for promo. Joe in particular seems quite bothered by retaining his privacy. Bash I feel less so but none the less, he has also made that switch. It’s certainly a novel approach, whoever heard of teenagers shunning the attention their newfound fame has bought them.

You knew Bash wouldn’t be gone long. For all Joe & Kits insistence on privacy & only using socials for promo, Bash meanwhile bloody loves the attention from all the fans. I don't think Bash is's attention hungry per se but I think he and his family are more comfortable with attention. That;s by no way a judgment on them, btw, but his sister, brother, and dad all run their own businesses - comfort with self promo and public attention is part and parcel of that whereas Joe's mum (the only family we've seen) is a small town teacher. I think Joe ironically was fine with how public their relationship and his sexuality was but less fine with the rest of his life being really public, whereas Bash seemed like almost the inverse, where he was fine posting and being interactive but didn't want to speak on his sexuality. I will say in total fairness to both that they are technically long distance now which limits things. I wouldn't be surprised if after Joe's school exams, if he moves to London, they post about each other more. Not necessarily a formal relationship reveal but back to stories and posts of each other out and about. I'm rooting for them; they're very cute and seem incredibly close.

I will be in the minority here - I know they're young as fuck and I don't know them but I do think they might make it last for a long while at least They escalated quickly (met each others families within what a month?) but have kept the momentum for over a year, through massive increases in fame, long distance, and one of them being shipped by insane fans with a costar. Being able to weather all that and still be together and happy is hugely impressive. All the recent content we've gotten of them is still really affectionate which I think is the most important - Bash cuddling Joe in public and laughing when he is wry in the lipsync video, Joe giving Bash heart eyes in Brighton and gushing about his social skills in an interview, the matching bracelets. I'm not much older than them which maybe informs my feelings but i think they're really sweet.

They are actors R64. Being paid to act. I’d be worried if they found it hard to act. This isn’t high school, it’s a professional working film set. Of course Joe can film a variety of scenes without his personal life affecting his ability to do so.. also, Joes sports day scenes with Bash consisted of him having a minor shout at him. Hardly heart wrenching scenes that would cause him to have to really dig down to find that inner emotional turmoil..

They didn’t need to hug goodbye R68, they most likely went home together after filming that day. Where do people think Joe lives when he’s in London? He was presumably given accommodation during filming but not afterwards. I doubt Bash or Joe cared it was his last day as they continued to see each other before & after work every day after that!

R79 agreed, especially with the “where Joe stays in London” part. Bash’s family seems insanely social and willing to put people up, both (presumably) Joe and even other friends. Connor Jessup stayed with him for a while in London, and we’ve seen photos of Bash and Joe out and about with both parents plus obviously Bash stays at Joe’s house when he goes to IOM. Nice that they seem to get with one another’s families (also the family trip to NYC and the wedding invite)

Their relationship is probably pretty well known in the circles they run in; I hope it helps them get more good quality roles!

There’s a decent gay acting crowd in the UK & largely, they seem to champion each other. I can certainly see the quirky, gay thing working for Joe. He’s unlikely to ever play a straight man lead but I think he probably fully acknowledges that & it’s one of the reasons he felt able to come out straight off the bat. Bash, I think he is a more on the fence actor. He could play straight, he could play gay, he’s traditionally handsome enough to be a romantic lead.. but this is all assuming they are decent actors. I know it was mentioned on the previous thread but bash and his siblings definitely have a different bio dad. In a podcast the dad was in he talked about how bash’s mom was in an arranged marriage and then was a single parent for two years until he came into the picture. Made it sound like he adopted the kids though.

Both the kids (bash and his half siblings) to their dad and mum (in Bash’s sisters wedding, the dad said “we only have one daughter” so clearly he doesn’t even class her as a stepdaughter), and to each other. A few of the IG stories bash posted of Joe from April and May 2021, so right after filming, were at his sisters house so clearly they’re all tight. Bloody cute.

I think he's always had a habit of deleting old posts. I started a thread about him before he was even cast in Heartstopper and met Joe, and a little while later later I noticed the IG picture I'd used to illustrate it was gone.

Wish he'd unarchive all the old pictures of him and Joe. It is a fully open secret at this point, even if they don't actively confirm it how does he think archiving and deleting old photos of them is less obvious?

Why does he hate Ben so much. Yes, he's a bad person but he's actually pretty interesting and less idealistic than most of the characters in the show. Guess he got triggered that he had to be mean to Joe.

He’s certainly showing those who are interested enough to wonder. I think we’ll see Bash using his personal account more as the HS glare fades. I’m sure many celebs have private accounts but most younger, newer, want to get their name out their actors/musicians etc are active on their public social media to drum up interest & make connections with others in the industry. I’ve always thought Bash loves the attention of being slightly famous & having slightly famous friends. Not in a bad way though, just a 20 year old enjoying life!
