If you look at the vote by county this primary is showing that this new district will be dominated by Asheville. Madison basically won every county except Buncombe(Asheville), and Transylvania and Henderson, which are largely the suburban sprawl of Asheville. So I do take solace in the fact that his most conservative constituents didn't fall for the gay-baiting or thought it didn't matter.

By showing that the suburban Republicans of the Asheville area can unseat a Congressman, I think there is a real chance a Democrat can win the general in November.
