I had a friend who was a prison night guard. I got the impression that after years of doing that he and some of the prisoners formed a friendly bond.

Prisoners are human beings. Even if you're a guard, once you strike up a conversation and get to know them. You will find things in common and even develop empathy. Not surprised some even fall in love with inmates. Think about it, prison guarding must be a soulless, boring job and you may get lonely doing it for such a long time. I reflected on this last night before going to bed. And woke up early this morning with more answers.

During a dream, I saw that the paint was actually done by one of their Aryan Nations accomplices. You see, the plan all along was for the Whites to meet up with the Aryans to not only ditch the car, but also for Vicky and Casey to split up and go in separate cars for the rest of their journey.

They were able to be unrecognized for the rest of their trip because Vicky and Casey were each hiding in their respective vehicle while an Aryan Nations member drove. This allowed them to travel across state lines undetected.

As for the spray paint...

This was a spontaneous gesture by one of the Aryan Nations people. He was tagging the car. With a swastika. This was too much for Vicky, and she grabbed the paint can and sprayed over it.

This caused some dissent. The Aryans are already a bit skeptical of Vicky due to her years of working at the prison. She's been useful in helping Casey escape. But the Aryans are questioning her allegiance to their cause.

I hope law enforcement is deliberately slow to reveal info so they don’t tip off these 2 or anyone helping them as to how close they really are.

I really hope his ex is safe and in protective custody. I’d like to believe that whatever persuaded Vicky to help him does not include helping him go after his ex.

But it's not just details of this case that have been appearing to me.

Ever since being summoned to this dramatic situation (sometimes it feels as if the Universe is knocking the wind out of me), I've glimpsed inside the psyches of both Vicky and Casey.

Casey is a sociopath. He is also developmentally stunted. The emotional development of a child in the body of a giant. Charming when he wants to get something, yet not very intelligent. Prone to fits of rage, yet also vulnerable and lost. Severely wounded.

Vicky has a controlling personality. Vain. A surface pleasantness that hides a sadistic and vindictive nature. It's no coincidence she chose to work in a position of authority at a prison.

Vicky and Casey have a sexual relationship, but that is not their main bond. Vicky is very much a mother figure to Casey (although she is not his actual mother.) She took advantage of the power imbalance, and became a nurturing figure to Casey. This led to something of an emotional dependency. Vicky was able to give rewards to Casey in prison, and also withhold them at her whim. This made her feel powerful. She gets off on the fact she had so much control over this huge hulking man. It is Vicky's way to deal with the considerable hatred she feels towards men in general.

Vicky is also aware of the sexual dynamics between men in prison. She hates seeing men who are attracted to each other, but not her. It's the ultimate lack of control for her. That's why she hates gay men. And any men in that prison that seemed to show an attraction to Casey...it infuriated Vicky. And she found little ways to make these men pay for it.

So even though Casey is a murderer, and we should save our sympathy for his victim, Casey is also a victim of Vicky (and the other women in his life who abused him at a young age.) Vicky used her power and position at the prison to play some wicked mind games on Casey. She forged a sexually-confusing Mother/Son bond with him. She showered him with love. But she also withheld affection when he needed it the most. Just to mess with his mind and keep him under her control.

In a nutshell, the Universe brought these two people together to resolve a repressed Oedipal archetype. The sex is the least of it. And the real villain is the one you least suspect.

PAIN & PENANCE As I stated upthread, Vicky's relationship with Casey is not motivated by sex, but by control and dominance. By rewards and punishments. So yes, the nipple clamps are a part of that. GUNS The stun gun footage is interesting because I had a strong vision of a gun shop this weekend. But it wasn't a pawn shop. It was an actual gun store. During their journey, after they were separated and traveling in separate vehicles, one of the drivers stopped at a gun store to buy ammunition. And here's where the story goes deeper. This store is part of a chain of gun stores with a connection to the Aryan Nations group that is hiding Vicky and Casey. When all these details come out in the news, it will be revealed that this white supremacy group not only has infiltrated many small town police forces, but that an important part of their underground network is this chain of gun stores. A lot of word-of-mouth communication goes through these stores. It allows them to not leave a digital footprint or even a paper trail. But as unsophisticated as it seems, it is still effective. And this gun store chain allows the Aryan Nations people to not only amass a lot of guns without raising red flags, but the stores are also used to launder drug money from the meth and pills drug operation that the white supremacists are engaged in to finance their cause.

KRISPY KREME On a more light-hearted note, the one thing Casey craved in prison was a Krispy Kreme doughnut. (I'm not trying to be funny because of his appearance.)
