It’s only January 16, and we’ve already lost Bob Saget, Sidney Poitier, Peter Bogdanovich and Dwayne Hickman.
They’re dropping like flies, that is if old celebrities long past their prime were insects, which many have the hard exoskeleton of ones already.

r147 Thanks! At least my memory is still functioning ok!! I did wonder if I had confused her with someone else from the big 1980s US soaps like Dallas , Dynasty and Knots Landing and was planning to have a google later!
In terms of actresses from the big US soaps from that era I think Linda Gray seems healthy and vital enough despite losing her son to cancer in recent years so I would not include her as a 2022 prediction or guess. Charlene Tilton seems a bit weather worn for her age but not in immediate danger.Victoria Principal I do not thing I have seen any recent interviews with and shes more low profile these days so harder to tell.I have a vague memory she said years ago she had a medical issue with her blood platelets but I could be confusing Victoria with someone else? Susan Howard is in her late seventies but incredibly low profile.Sheree J Wilson seems active and healthy.Unsure about Priscilla Presley but possibly one who could be a good prediction. Dynasty the best bet would be Joan Collins butthe decade younger Linda Evans could surprise and go both Joan! Michelle Lee from Knots Landing I would say if I had to pick a name from that show.

I think the Palace and the government are hiding the truth to hang on to a shred more stability at a volatile moment.
It's no accident that Parliament just uploaded a research paper advising on the Councillor of State issue (and recommending that Harry be removed from the lineup).
She must be hanging on by her fingernails if they're bringing this up on the government's web site.

But it was Kirkland who I was thinking about and you triggered it, much appreciated as it was gnawing on my brain.

I may be over looking somebody though.
by Anonymous | reply 167 | February 25, 2022 9:21 PM |
Also from Knots, Ted Shackleford is looking like death warmed over but I think he's healthy. After Murray, my guess would be Bill Devane who's 84 but looks like he's lead a fairly libertine life -- notwithstanding being married to the same woman for 61 years.

R170, unless she's done a complete turnaround, I can see Lisa Marie Presley going before Priscilla! Haven't seen Lisa in a few years, but when I did she looked like complete shit. Unrecognizable!

r171 Oh is Lisa an addict of some kind?
by Anonymous | reply 172 | February 25, 2022 11:34 PM |
Yes R172. She may be recovering right now, I'm not sure? But she's been an on again/off again user for most of her adult life. A few years back she looked scary bad. And that was even before her son died last year!
Hopefully I'm off the mark and she's well.

As an aside, I had no idea Priscilla Presley remarried and had a son - his wedding pics were in the DM the other day. I assumed she'd kept herself as a sort of shrine to Elvis.

Oh no r174 she became pregnant in 1987 whilst starring in Dallas and her character Jenna Wade was then written as pregnant to help explain her change in appearance.

I'm surprised R175 didn't explain that Abbey Road is a street not a person.

@ R170:
I'm not really that familiar with the other soaps of that era. But I would guess for the ladies:
1. Stella Stevens (Flamingo Road)
2. Joan Collins (Dynasty)
3. Linda Evans (Dynasty)
4. Barbara Eden (Dallas)
5. Susan Sullivan (Falcon Crest)

Stella Stevens is not well at all (dementia). The others are in good health though as far as I know.

r185 Thank you. As a brit I am not familiar with Flamingo Road although I was aware Stella Stevens was in poor health-I just didn't link her to soaps.

@R186
Joan Collins turns 89 in May and all her wigs and makeup can't conceal that she has one foot in the grave.
Linda Evans, while "only" 79, has been in poor health for years and frankly looks it
Barbara Eden turns 91 in August. She looks okay for a nonagenarian
Susan Sullivan (recently 79) is probably the healthiest looking, but she's still 79. She's the flip side of Michele Lee, who at least had the advantage of being a dancer and likely kept physical and in shape longer.
None of these ladies are going to be around forever let alone a few more years. Prepare yourselves now for the ultimate cliffhanger.

Maybe Barbara Eden will make to 100.

There was some blind item months ago about a foreign born actress/singer dying of advanced cancer. ONJ was one of the guesses.
