The first season was ho-hum until the last episode. Then it got great.

I am now into the second season and it is great.

The second season is amazing. I think if the first season had been as strong, the show would not have been so under the radar. I barely got through season one---but season two has me riveted.

Why is the trial in Season Three taking place in an American court, when the crime took place in Canada?

Loved the first season, but then the law of diminishing returns kicked in. I very much enjoyed John Early (although I often wanted to strangle his character), Clare McNulty (ditto...) and Meredith Hagner, and John Reynolds is on my list of TV Boyfriends (and kinda the reason I watched the later seasons). I haaaated the hostage A-story of the fourth season. I probably won't watch the fifth.

Susan Sarandon is divine in this, some of her best work in years.

Yes, I loved it. Forgot her name but the blonde friend is fantastic.
