[quote]I suspect Miss BrandonJoseph is just another manifestation of the Matt Loon aka the Poppins Loon aka THE Loon to End All Loons on DL.
Bingo, r331. brandonhoseph is also r327 (Ronald McDonald) in this thread. In all, he's posted 25 times on this thread.
In the thread I linked to, "has nyc bounced back?", he's posted as FNY (Former New Yorker), brandonjoseph, Ronald McDonald, Cindy Adams, Dade County Here, Jealous in Jersey, sugar coated pill, Philadelphia, and Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love. brandonjoseph is coming unglued over there, posting over 120 times in a thread of 426 posts, post after unhinged post of NYC crime stats, attacking anyone who dares to suggest that NYC is slowly coming back to life as the pandemic winds down. At one point, he had posted 22 of 25 posts in a row. It's truly psychotic, very Matt-like behavior.
On topic, r236's friend offers an apt Broadway insider's view of the chorus boy's lament:
[quote]These are actually coveted jobs and of the thousands of people who come to NYC every year to act professionally, less than 1 percent of those people ever get near a job like that. In musicals, people call in a lot more often than in plays, I guess because of vocal strain. This means he had a VERY important role in the company from the management perspective but he and his therapist could not see that.
Hamilton chorus boy was in a situation much like Jim Borstelmann in The Producers. Borstelmann started out as a swing, understudying Franz Liebkind and Roger De Bris. Then he began understudying Scott, the choreographer. He was given the role of Liebkind after Brad Oscar left, but after a month or so, took over the lesser role of Scott - because he was much more valuable to management playing in the easily replaceable Scott to understudy to the bigger and harder to play roles of Franz Liebkind and Roger De Bris. If Borstelmann felt demoted, he never said a word about it - but then, he is a Broadway veteran who isn't mentally ill, and knew a good thing when he saw it. Nice guy, too.
tl:dr? Yes, brandonjoseph is a self-admitted troll if not THE Loon, and Hamilton chorus boy is spectacularly ill-suited for show business. I hope he gets help.
