READ THIS: It's scary how close we came to Trump declaring martial law
Herschmann is obviously Jonathan Swan's main source here, but little reason to doubt him.
But the fact that scum like Mark Meadows and Rudy were among the voices of reason in the room and left not sure they'd convinced Trump to ignore Powell is scary AF.
This whole series is fascinating, Swan did an excellent job and I'd be shocked if he doesn't turn this into a book.

DUMP is mad. People need to understand this.

Our Millennial Fuckstick, which he uses to make bottoms cum hands-free, is back.

Good article. But there was a poster on DL saying even if Trump declared martial law the courts would stop Trump.

Murdoch's Fox has gone full Lindsey daily. Fox's ratings are dropping, and Lindsey is Murdoch's ace in the hole.

R3 I want to hear more about YMF sizemeat and technique, I missed those threads

R7 Here's the thread he started in July, 2019, and which he bumped yesterday.

r7, "sizemeat" has little to do with whether a guy can make me cum hands-free. The guys who've had that effect on me were 4" and 5" probably, but I was extremely attracted to each of them. I think that's what made the difference.

A president cannot declare martial law. A federal court would block it within the hour. If the courts are open, then martial law cannot be implemented.

It's not so scary.
He has no constitutional power to declare martial law--the courts and (more importantly) the military would not have sided with him.

[Quote]Trump was behind the desk, watching the show. He briefly left the meeting to wander into his private dining room.
Does this mean to imply Trump exited the room briefly to snort his Addy?

No, just to scarf down a couple of Big Macs.

I'd love for Powell to be disbarred but she's licensed in TX, right? She'll never be disciplined in that state.

Hate to say it but Bill Barr saved the country with his announcement.

Flynn and Powell are both Russian assets, right?

Bill Barr only cared about and saved himself. He didn't and doesn't give two shits about the country. His list of malevolent acts is as long as... well, you get the idea.
There's a lot of candidates for "the person who saved the country." I'm going with Nancy Pelosi and/or Stacey Abrams.

Wouldn't surprise me. Which is why the idea of her having access to secret data, including voter data, is so alarming.

Awful as the implications are, I really think it would have been fantastically entertaining to sit in on some of these madman-in-the-bunker shouting matches in the waning days of the Trump administration. Better than any reality show.

I'd be surprised if Swan's book (assuming there is one) isn't made into a movie R19. Or maybe a multi-episode TV series.

Oh please. He's the getaway driver who drove the thieves all over town to rob every bank and then decided it was enough, but the thieves wanted to do one more job and Barr chose to just take off on the last one rather than participate in that one.

Would the military have sided with Trump?
As we saw from the insurrection, lots of the white law enforcement seemed to be working with the terrorists.

R22, A surprising number of rank and file supported Biden, and it’s assumed that the upper echelons of the military despise Trump.

No, r22.
In an unprecedented letter, the top leaders of the military found it necessary to publicly announce the president had better not try to engage the military in any attempt to overturn the election as they would not comply.
Have you ever seen or heard any such thing regarding any past presidents? It really was amazing.
