Well, it turns out Ol' Joe was the right pick. Don't think Klobuchar or Pete or Elizabeth or even Bernie would have gone this far. A lot of it is due to Covid, but so what? Trump had one big challenge and he fucked it up over and over.
What disturbs me is so many contests across the land are neck-and-neck in the polls. Makes me suspicious because that's what Putin likes: make it seem like a tight race so when his candidate (or issue) wins it doesn't look so improbable. I know he can hack the polling machines- but can he manipulate the polls?
I'll only believe Putin didn't have his tiny paws in this election if Biden wins.

There were no lines here in LA County. I voted days ago and no on line. If this is the Trumpsters voting day of, not looking good for him, not that he had much expectation here.
I know people in NY that say lines have been so long out there.

Latino voters turn out in record numbers A record number of Latino voters have cast their ballots this election, with early numbers indicating that 8.6m Latinos have already voted.
Democrats and progressives across the US – and especially in swing states – have been working to galvanize young Latinos. In Arizona, activists who have been engaged in a decade-long project to register and turn out Latino voters to deliver the longtime conservative bastion for Democrats up and down the ballot.
In Arizona and other battleground states of Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Nevada and North Carolina, 33% of Latinx early votes came from people who did not cast a ballot in 2016, according to Voto Latino.
The group had registered more than 601,330 voters for this election cycle, about three-fourths of whom are between the ages of 18 and 39.

I’m nervous like everyone else but let’s admit we are in a MUCH better position than the Trumpkins.
In order to win, Trump must carry all of these states, [bold]all[/bold] polling slightly to substantially in favor of Biden:
Georgia
North Carolina
Florida
Arizona
Pennsylvania
They’re listed above in order of chance he’ll win. ALL less than 50% by the way. So even if there’s an upset in PA, if Trump loses even just AZ (a fair likelihood) he loses the election.
(So the states above are the ones to watch tonight.)
If the situation were reversed, how would you feel today?
I’m not saying we’ve won. I’m saying we have the wind at our backs and that is a good position to be in.

There were no bands of MAGAt tRumptards terrorizing voters or acting as unofficial poll watchers. There will not be several weeks of legal wrangling.
The Dotard is as stupid as he appears. He and Rudy tried to recreate the Hillary email scandal with Hunter Biden, and he wound up getting himself impeached. A year in advance he blared what his tactic was going to be. It never caught on and in fact failed spectacularly.
He installed DeJoy at the US Postal Service to slow down mail-in ballots. The scheme got called out immediately. And it was so far in advance of the election that everyone from elections officials to voters scrambled to make plans to insure they got to vote and their votes were counted.
So many people were concerned that 100,000,000 people voted early. This not only “banked” all these millions of votes, it reduced significantly the chance that people would be disenfranchised at the last minute at voting locations.
So, while people have been motivated on their own for four years to get rid of the Orange Traitor, he has indirectly aided, because of his own incompetence and ineptitude, in the rush to vote him out over the last several weeks. He believes himself to be some political and strategic genius because of a bizarre happenstance four years ago that accidentally put him in the White House. In fact, he is an incompetent boob, and that fact will become ever clearer as the weeks, months, and years pass.

This was posted on another blog. I think it shows the number of ballots counted by party affiliation not who they voted for. The D-R gap is the number of democrat votes vs. republican.

It's the count of ballots by party, R300.
For example Democrats returned 3,918,546 and Republicans returned 4,099,782 ballots. The D-R gap is the difference. It refreshes every 20 minutes.

The 30-year-old Hollywood resident was crushed. He has long supported the president for his economic and immigration policies, attending weekly Beverly Hills Trump rallies draped in Mardi Gras beads and a rainbow flag. “Im LGBTQ, I’m Latino — and Donald Trump has never done a single thing to remove my rights,” Garcia said. Teary-eyed, Garcia recorded a video on his iPhone from outside the Los Angeles polling place where his partner and a friend were casting their ballots. “I really wish I could vote right now,” he said into the camera, his hair styled back and a tattoo dedicated to his mother spread across his chest. He sighed deeply. “Next election, huh?”
Well, at least Trump knows he can count on the gay criminal Latino vote. Just not this year.

An early narrative I’m seeing is that Biden is weak with Florida Latinos, in Miami-Dade County but maybe also in other parts of the state. This could be because Trump is speaking particularly well to those Florida Latino communities, which tend to be more conservative than Latinos in other parts of the country. Trump has done a lot to talk about the evils of “socialism” and to tie the Democrats to that worldview. Perhaps that’s what we’re seeing here playing out now?
