The anti-Scientology blogged that claimed they had people who infiltrated the Celebrity Centre and that Elisabeth Moss is bipolar. I can't remember the title, but it was discussed on DL in 2013 or 2014.

After Heath Ledger died, one of the entertainment shows (I'm 99% sure that it was Access Hollywood) claimed they were in possession of a tape with a lot of young stars doing drugs, including Ledger. All of the gossip sites buzzed about it for a couple of days, then all mention of it disappeared. Later there was a blind that said that actors threatened to boycott the show if it were released.

The Lost Media Wiki has a some things listed that would fit this topic.

Right after the Benghazi attack,there was a photo of the ambassador Stevens bent over a barrier or something with his pants around his ankles and a guy was standing right beside him with his dick hanging out of his pants. I've mentioned on the original thread that my second job as an assistant in the business was to map anything online related to a client and send them to a tech person who would try to trick google's algorithms to bury a story, even though the algorithms change all the time. When that fails, the next action is to hit a site with a DMCA/copyright takedown and/or threaten a poster with a lawsuit or paying them to take it down.

Sending cleaners to discredit the rumors, like you see a lot here on Datalounge is a fairly new approach. A good cleaner will never stand out. Back when Facebook first started, they were very professional and discreet, those were the days. Today you can spot them from space, as we can see with the moronic person trying to discredit gossip here on that gossip thread with the Qanon bullshit.

Here’s a really strange one for my fellow Gen- Xers. In the late 80s and early 90s I was a casual fan of Robert Palmer, who most remember for his song (and video) “Addicted to Love.” In 1991 or 1992, I bought an cd of his that had just come out, “Don’t Explain.” On it was a song I really loved called “Aeroplane.” I remember looking at the lyrics in the CD booklet and noticing the song was written by Palmer and someone named Mary Ambrose. The name stuck with me because I thought it was lovely.

Some years later, I read an article about Palmer where he was interviewed at his home in (I think) Switzerland. Mary Ambrose was mentioned as his girlfriend and what stuck out to me was how the writer mentioned she wasn’t skinny but voluptuous and that the couple enjoyed good food. So, now I had an image of this sensuous woman with no dieting hang ups. In my mind I saw her as having thick dark hair and wearing a clingy short dress. Around that time, Palmer’s album, Honey came out and it was a good one. The woman kissing him in the cover was identified as Mary Ambrose.

Palmer died in the early 00s. British news mentioned Mary Ambrose as his romantic partner.

A couple of years ago I noticed that Palmer’s Wikipedia page kept changing. Ambrose would be mentioned in the Death section and a British paper would be credited. Then, any reference to her would disappear, only to reappear.

Googling her and Palmer, I found that someone had posted that his REAL partner had been someone named Geraldine Edwards, a famous groupie, but this person doesn’t seem to have actually existed. I wouldn’t care so much except this person (who has posted on every site that mentions Palmer) insists that Ambrose only worked for Palmer and that she met him just befire he died. I KNOW this isn’t true because I remember reading that CD booklet in the early 90s that listed her as co-writing that song, as well as her having been in the cover of the Honey album. It just bothers and fascinates me that some nut it out there trying to erase the memory of this Mary Ambrose.

You can remove all the obvious sources with enough money, but you can't truly remove something from the internet, no matter how rich and famous you are. Once something is out there, it's out there. Other reverse searches show that more recent photos of "Geraldine" are actually of a little known actress named Karin Swenson.

I found no real evidence that anyone with that name or her husband's name even exists. There may be a real Geraldine behind this who is quite unhinged but the profile is full of even more fakery...

What's this fixation with Robert Palmer and that Mary Ambrose chick? Scrubbing only matters if said story is considered bad PR that could harm the talent's viability as a celebrity. A male star being secretly gay is the most common example as it's assumed that female audiences (who are the primary audience for the celebrity economy) want to imagine they have a chance with the objects of their obsession. So the Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal and Matthew McConaughey posts on this thread are highly probable.

Another example is the male celebrity having a romantic past that's deemed incompatible with their image. Back in the day, it used to divorce or casual sex. This additional factor connects the story about Rain’s baby to the other oft-cited Phoenix family rumour about incest between siblings in the family. Curiously, during his teen years Joaquin used the name ‘Leaf’, in order to better fit in with his hippie-named siblings—don’t Rains and Leaves fall in the autumn, giving way to Winter....? I’m just saying...
