Totally political diatribe. And a "Sir," plus a slander at John Kerry, "he violated the Logan Act."
"China has paid us hundreds of billions of dollars, tens of billions of dollars...."
"If Sleepy Joe wins, China will own us, China will OWN us."
COMPLETELY FREE CAMPAIGN COMMERCIAL FOR TRUMP. THANKS FOR NOTHING, C-SPAN.
"We have thousands of extra ventilators. We're sending some to Iran. Iran doesn't want to mess around with us, they don't w to mess around with us. Shouldn't have met them."

This is why people who are stupid can't be left to their own devices in terms of self-control. I am in Sarasota FL and even if they lift this lockdown I will go to work (essential worker) and every night and every weekend continue to stay in my house. Why can Dump sit in a golden Tower in Manhattan or private Golf resort in Florida but Nancy Pelosi can't enjoy her oceanview house in SF (is this even true)? Why can Nepotism Barbie fly with her Daddy to China and make deals with the Chinese, but when Hunter Biden did the same, he is corrupt? Why is Kushner an adviser at the WH? What are his qualifications? Why is Dump Jr. whining about Hunter Biden's qualifications and salary, but doesn't seem to care about his own family and tgeir nepotism and grifting?
Nothing here really makes sense and it is pointless to argue with deplorables. Different standards for different people and we can only hope this nightmare will end in November.

R88, Because Republican politicians and their Deplorable followers adhere to their politics like they do their religion:
With the certitude that BECAUSE it is their politics and their religion, BY DEFINITION whatever they do in those names is, ipso facto, correct, permissable, legal, and laudable.
Democrats are, therefore, BY DEFINITION wrong, out of line, criminal, and deserving of condemnation.
It goes beyond garden variety hypocrisy to indoctrination.

Yay PROPS! Ok fucktard, you made a giant Q-Tip... now what? What do I do with it? Where is the "test"? I stick this up my nose and what, it turns blue if I have the virus and red if I don't?
Great article - it's not about me, but hell it's great. I'm still laughing on that one. SEE MOM, SEE THE GREAT JOB I'VE DONE! LOOK MOM! LOOK MOM!! MOM!!! MOM LOOK!! LOOK MOM!!! MOM??? MOM???
Governors are his friends until they aren't. Some are doing a great job, some not so much.
People want to get out but know what they have to do without being told. Ummm, ok... LIBERATE!
And why is he in competition with other countries? He's done more tests than 12 (was it 12?) other countries. Ok, good. But do these countries have 320,000,000 people to test? Canada has 32,000,000 citizens. WTF!
Ventilators are hard. Oh fuck, shut the fuck up. Yes, you have an access of ventilators now. GOOD! That means less people need them than YOUR OWN MODELS showed. That's good news you fucking orange piece of shit.
How in the world did this country elect someone so pathetic!!!

by Anonymous | reply 134 | April 19, 2020 10:51 PM |
That should be "excess" of ventilators. Apologies. :)
by Anonymous | reply 135 | April 19, 2020 10:51 PM |
Enough with the ventilators
by Anonymous | reply 136 | April 19, 2020 10:52 PM |
OMG, playing a clip of Cuomo complimenting him, there are no words for this moron's delusion.
by Anonymous | reply 137 | April 19, 2020 10:52 PM |
This clip! What a jackass! Whatâs the purpose of putting this clip up except self aggrandizement?
by Anonymous | reply 138 | April 19, 2020 10:53 PM |
Trump is the virus, Fox News is the carrier, Mitch McConnell is the diseased bat.
by Anonymous | reply 139 | April 19, 2020 10:53 PM |
Lol Trumpâs flunkies cut off the part of the video where Cuomo said âgood thingsâ about Trump. Heâs NOT HAPPY with this.

Thousands of ventilators, like 10,000 ventilators. 750,000+ positive cases in the US alone, with 40,000+ deaths, and he has 10,000 ventilators. That should cover the Jacksonville FL nuts who went to the beach this weekend.
by Anonymous | reply 144 | April 19, 2020 10:57 PM |
THE KING OF VENTILATORS! He can't go ten minutes without griping about making - what he considers - too many ventilators.
by Anonymous | reply 145 | April 19, 2020 10:57 PM |
Ruh-Roh. That's what I thought, too, r140.
Good. Serves him right. The fact that Trump can't stand on your own acts and merit says it all.
What a LOSER.
by Anonymous | reply 146 | April 19, 2020 10:57 PM |
I feel bad for the admiral. Birx and Fauci are gone today so he's Trump's only audience on the sideline and has to clap like a seal every time Trump refers to him.
by Anonymous | reply 147 | April 19, 2020 10:58 PM |
The chyrons on MSNBC now dispute Trump âs nonsense. Real-time fact checking. It looks like theyâre taking CNNâs lead on this. About time.
by Anonymous | reply 148 | April 19, 2020 10:59 PM |
Did you hear Trump say "he's a good lookin' guy" when the Cuomo clip started? He loves complimenting men on their looks and their physiques. Oh mama.
by Anonymous | reply 149 | April 19, 2020 10:59 PM |
But theyâre high-end ventilators, R145. The BEST ventilators.
by Anonymous | reply 150 | April 19, 2020 10:59 PM |
In his grandiose delusions he thinks Newsom and Cuomo et al are genuinely complimenting him not humoring him.
by Anonymous | reply 151 | April 19, 2020 10:59 PM |
Favorite part, I think he was speaking of the economy....
"It's hard getting it aroused."

Newsom knows exactly how to work this dimwit to get what he wants. Flattery is key.

by Anonymous | reply 156 | April 19, 2020 11:01 PM |
And patronizing him, R151.
by Anonymous | reply 157 | April 19, 2020 11:02 PM |
Ventilators are a last ditch safety measure. Cuomo said 80 percent end up dying anyway.
by Anonymous | reply 158 | April 19, 2020 11:02 PM |
Exactly, r151 and r155
They're using what they have to-Trump's obsessive need for praise and flattery.

by Anonymous | reply 175 | April 19, 2020 11:09 PM |
He is right about the supply chain issue, and so much of it being dependent on China. But he says he ran his campaign on this issue, which is true. So what has he done about it over the last 3.5 years?

"He's a good-looking guy" is because Andrew's GF is the pretty blonde Sandra Lee. That compliment was an indirect one to her.

Andrea Mitchel calls Trump âbipartisanâ for playing a clip of Cuomo praising Trump. Thatâs not really bipartisan, itâs how you âplayâ Trump.

Getting the message out every day now that "If they get in, if Biden gets in, China, Japan, Mexico will own us. We won't have a country anymore."
Maybe he included Russia, I don't remember. In any case, Trump is signaling to his followers that Biden and the Democratic Party are the real traitors. This is not a small, off-hand remark to be ignored. Twenty bucks says he repeats it tomorrow.
It is part of Trump's anti-democracy, anti-UNITED States, pro-armed protest, "Liberate" to cause chaos, behaviors.
Just admitted he, as President, still owns a Nevada hotel.

Awesome how these female journalists just keep hammering at him. He was "this close" to losing his cool and walking out and having a temper tantrum.
So he closed travel from China when there were "zero" cases and "zero" deaths in the US? Or thereabouts? Ok, then what? As the CBS reporter said, the virus was already here. So is he arguing that had he not closed travel from China the deaths would have been much worse than they are currently? He's not suggesting he kept out the virus, is he? What a fucking fool.
No one thanks me. No one looks and tells me what a wonderful job I've been doing. It's been amazing and you in the lame stream media keep making up lies. It's all lies. We had nothing. The cupboard was bare and in such a short amount of time in a moment of crisis, we came through.

R259 He just doesn't get it, and thats why he keeps talking out of both sides of his ass.
A true leader, a true President would say something to the effect that "I know people want to get back to work, and the American spirit is strong. Just from all the flags that people are displaying you can see the American pride on display. But what we as a nation must understand, despite all of us wanting to get back to work and opening up our great country, is that until we can test every single American to ensure this virus will not continue to wreck havoc with our incredible citizens, I need the American people to remain vigilant and calm and at home, so that our social distancing continues to work, and we can continue to see the graph on a downward trajectory. I feel your pain, and promise you it will be worth it in the end, as we will have saved countless lives by keeping each other safe."
Naturally he doesn't have a shred of empathy so we'll never hear this fucktard of a loser ever say anything like that.

Hitler believed, in the end, that the German people had let him down, personally. I suppose thatâs what comes from having the military swear an oath to Hitler, personally. Not to the Army, or the German government, but to HitlerM himself. Just like Trump has done with his top advisors, demanding their loyalty. (And who isnât initiating, immediately, loyal to someone who hires them, anyway?)
Hitler ordered the destruction of Parisâ artistic, religious, cultural, and famous sites. The order was ignored. He also ordered the destruction of German infrastructure as the Germans retreated, so as to deny it from the approaching allies. He didnât care about the affect on German civilianS, who might survive the allied conquest.
by Anonymous | reply 290 | April 20, 2020 1:02 AM |
And no, I donât think the comparison of Trump to Hitler is far fetched. Trump has no redeeming personality or character features, as far as I can tell. He has the potential to rival Hitler, if he just wasnât so lazy. Iâve read sci-fi stories of a modern, Trump-like leader, and Iâve never believed it possible. I never thought the required number of electors could possibly be so stupid as to vote for a moronic tyrant.
Hitler had the âenabling actâ, where the German Parliament ceded dictatorial powers to him. I hear the same thing in Trumpâs demands and threats to dismiss Congress; his fights with the Governors; threats with the judiciary; the intelligence community; with our allies; with the Press; and with facts and evidence.

Last month all you heard from the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats was, âVentilators, Ventilators, Ventilators.â They screamed it loud & clear, & thought they had us cold, even though it was the Stateâs task. But everyone got their Vâs, with many to spare. Now they scream....
... âTesting, Testing, Testing,â again playing a very dangerous political game. States, not the Federal Government, should be doing the Testing - But we will work with the Governors and get it done. This is easy compared to the fast production of thousands of complex Ventilators!
Received a very nice call from @GovTimWalz of Minnesota. We are working closely on getting him all he needs, and fast. Good things happening!

Itâs not a question of loyalty. Itâs about civilian control of the military. Remember when Truman had to fire MacArthur. We canât have the military deciding on their own whatâs right or whatâs best. They have to follow orders from the civilian command.

Of course Trump thinks governors are just trying to "get us" rather than trying to get the Federal government to do its fucking job, which is coordinating amongst the states. The States should not have to form regional alliances to function, that was the whole point of the Federal government.
He's mad they aren't buying his attempts to alter reality through lying.
by Anonymous | reply 314 | April 20, 2020 4:14 PM |
R312 None of Trump's fired generals tried to take control. All of them (Kelly, McMaster, Mattis,Dunford, etc) deferred to Tillerson when he was Secty of State. All the generals allowed Trump to shit on them in the name of allowing civilian control. They tried to offer options to Trump, to educate him from their experiences, and Trump refused to listen to anything they said.
by Anonymous | reply 315 | April 20, 2020 4:14 PM |
Why can't he just skip the blaming game and do his job for once? The states didn't need all the ventilators? Great. This means they were prepared and no one had to die because of a lack of ventilators. We have too many instead of not enough tests? Great. It means people know their status and can make reasonable decisions. 40k Americans have already died. Just get over yourself and do your fucking job and prepare the country for the worst. This guy really is unbearable.

And, about that Trump oil deal....
Oil Plunges Below $5 With Traders Fleeing Expiring Contract
Oil plunged below $5 a barrel as the coronavirus pandemic ravages global economies, threatening to erase an entire decade of demand growth, slashing thousands of jobs and wiping out hundreds of billions of dollars from company valuations.
Industrial and economic activity is grinding to a halt as governments around the globe extend shutdowns due to the swift spread of the coronavirus. Oil has faced its own knock-on effects with a market massively oversupplied and nowhere to put physical barrels of crude. An unprecedented output deal by OPEC and allied members a week ago to curb supply is proving too little too late in the face a one-third collapse in global demand.
On Monday, a technical oddity exacerbated the price plunge as traders fled the May futures contract ahead of its expiration tomorrow, driving it down as much as 78% to the lowest level since futures began trading in New York in 1983. The following monthâs contract fell 11% to $22.22 a barrel. CME group said itâs possible that May WTI contract could trade negative.
âThere is little to prevent the physical market from the further acute downside path over the near term,â said Michael Tran, managing director of global energy strategy at RBC Capital Markets. âRefiners are rejecting barrels at a historic pace and with U.S. storage levels sprinting to the brim, market forces will inflict further pain until either we hit rock bottom, or COVID clears, whichever comes first, but it looks like the former.â
Since the start of the year, oil prices have fallen by more than 90% after the compounding impacts of the coronavirus and a breakdown in the original OPEC+ agreement. With no end in sight, and producers around the world continuing to pump, thatâs causing a fire-sale among traders who donât have access to storage.
There are signs of weakness everywhere. Buyers in Texas are offering as little as $2 a barrel for some oil streams, raising the possibility that producers may soon have to pay to have crude taken off their hands. The spread between the nearest two contracts for the U.S. benchmark has fallen to its weakest level on record. In Asia, bankers are increasingly reluctant to give commodity traders the credit to survive as lenders grow ever more fearful about the risk of a catastrophic default.
In New York, West Texas Intermediate dropped to $5.48 a barrel at 1:06 p.m. local time. Brent declined 5.8% to $26.44.
Crude stockpiles at Cushing -- Americaâs key storage hub and delivery point of the West Texas Intermediate contract -- have jumped 48% to almost 55 million barrels since the end of February. The hub had working storage capacity of 76 million as of Sept. 30, according to the Energy Information Administration.
Fund Inflow Despite the weakness in headline prices, retail investors are continuing to plow money back into oil futures. The U.S. Oil Fund ETF saw a record $552 million come in on Friday, taking total inflows last week to $1.6 billion.
The price collapse is reverberating across the oil industry. Crude explorers shut down 13% of the American drilling fleet last week. While production cuts in the country are gaining pace, it isnât happening quickly enough to avoid storage filling to maximum levels, said Paul Horsnell, head of commodities at Standard Chartered.
âThe background psychology right now is just massively bearish,â Michael Lynch, president of Strategic Energy & Economic Research Inc said in a phone interview. âPeople are concerned that we are going to see so much build up of inventory that itâs going to be very difficult to fix in the near term and there is going to be a lot distressed cargoes on the market. People are trying to get rid of the oil and there are no buyers.â

Here's my idea for a campaign ad: Run the reel of the Trump clips we've seen hundreds of times with him telling lie after lie, but superimpose a fish-head on top of Trump's head with the fish's mouth moving to Trump's words. End with the slogan "the fish rots from the head". Even the Deplorables would laugh at it!....anybody here work for the Biden campaign???

Trumpâs latest tweets are an alternative world where the pandemic takes a backseat to MSNBC coverage--The president barely mentioned the coronavirus during a string of posts that are all about him.
By Aaron Rupar@atrupar Apr 21, 2020, 12:20pm EDT
More than 1,500 people in the US died from the coronavirus on Monday, bringing Americaâs death toll to nearly 43,000, according to the Johns Hopkins coronavirus tracker. But you wouldnât know that from looking at President Donald Trumpâs tweets Tuesday morning.
In a string of posts that began a bit after 6 am Eastern time, Trump lambasted MSNBC in particular, and the âLamestream Mediaâ in general, ghoulishly bragged about his âgreat âratingsââ during daily press briefings ostensibly about a pandemic, fudged polling numbers to inflate his popularity, and promised to bail out the US energy industry. To close out the morning, he retweeted posts from someone with the handle @SexCounseling.
The presidentâs only reference to the coronavirus was to brag in passing about the purportedly great job heâs doing handling it. He didnât have a single word to say to Americans with loved ones who are ill or who have died, or who are worried about getting sick themselves.
Taken together, the tweets paint a picture of a president whoâs obsessed with himself at a time when Americans are losing their jobs and lives. They illustrated that Trump is fixated on fighting his perceived political foes at a time when governors, even Republican ones, are becoming increasingly disillusioned about the federal coronavirus response â or lack thereof.
âIâve had great âratingsâ my whole life, thereâs nothing unusual about that for meâ
Trumpâs Tuesday morning tweets came hours after he abruptly announced heâs signing âan Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United Statesâ because of unfounded worries that immigrants are coming to the country during a pandemic and taking the âjobs of our GREAT American Citizens.â

FYI
Study finds no benefit, higher death rate in patients taking hydroxychloroquine for Covid-19
(CNN)Coronavirus patients taking hydroxychloroquine, a treatment touted by President Trump, were no less likely to need mechanical ventilation and had higher deaths rates compared to those who did not take the drug, according to a study of hundreds of patients at US Veterans Health Administration medical centers.
The study, which reviewed veterans' medical charts, was posted Tuesday on medrxiv.org, a pre-print server, meaning it was not peer reviewed or published in a medical journal. The research was funded by the National Institutes of Health and the University of Virginia.
In the study of 368 patients, 97 patients who took hydroxychloroquine had a 27.8% death rate. The 158 patients who did not take the drug had an 11.4% death rate.
"An association of increased overall mortality was identified in patients treated with hydroxychloroquine alone. These findings highlight the importance of awaiting the results of ongoing prospective, randomized, controlled studies before widespread adoption of these drugs," wrote the authors, who work at the Columbia VA Health Care System in South Carolina, the University of South Carolina and the University of Virginia.
Researchers also looked at whether taking hydroxychloroquine or a combination of hydroxychloroquine and the antibiotic azithromycin, had an effect on whether a patient needed to go on a ventilator.
"In this study, we found no evidence that use of hydroxychloroquine, either with or without azithromycin, reduced the risk of mechanical ventilation in patients hospitalized with Covid-19," the authors wrote.
There are currently no products approved by the US Food and Drug Administration to prevent or treat Covid-19, although research is underway on many drugs.

States are safely coming back. Our Country is starting to OPEN FOR BUSINESS again. Special care is, and always will be, given to our beloved seniors (except me!). Their lives will be better than ever...WE LOVE YOU ALL!
Happy Birthday to the great Cindy Adams of the New York Post. Cindy is 90, but looks 39 to me. She is going strong!
I will be signing my Executive Order prohibiting immigration into our Country today. In the meantime, even without this order, our Southern Border, aided substantially by the 170 miles of new Border Wall & 27,000 Mexican soldiers, is very tight - including for human trafficking!

SCOOP - Dr. Rick Bright says in statement he was pushed out of BARDA for a narrower, more limited role at NIH for wanting to use science to test treatments for COVID19, specifically the administration push to get chloroquines in wide use
Dr. BRIGHT: âSpecifically, and contrary to misguided directives, I limited the broad use of chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, promoted by the Administration as a panacea, but which clearly lack scientific merit..." 1/

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump left Gov. Kempâs political misfortune became a swift subject of mockery on social media.

âDisinfectant,â âBleachâ Tweets Top âCovid-19â After Trump Gaffe
By Kartikay Mehrotra
April 24, 2020, 8:57 PM CDT
U.S. President Donald Trumpâs comments about injecting disinfectant to treat Covid-19 have sparked a burst of social-media chatter on the subject.
In the last 24 hours, the words âdisinfectantâ and âbleachâ have been tweeted almost 1.6 million times, more than the phrase âCovid-19,â according to TrendsMap.com, which analyzes Twitter data.
âThe disinfectant knocks it out in a minute. One minute,â Trump said Thursday in response to a presentation on research showing bleach could quickly kill the virus in respiratory fluids. âIs there a way we can do something like that by injection inside?â he added, saying it would be âalmost a cleaning. It gets in the lungs and does a tremendous number on the lungs.â
