by Anonymousreply 3January 6, 2020 1:57 AM

Bring back Arquette and her tits!

Sit down Tom

by Anonymousreply 4January 6, 2020 1:57 AM

Omg who was that woman bored to death by Hanks resting her face on her hands?

by Anonymousreply 5January 6, 2020 1:59 AM

Oh my God this is never going to end.

by Anonymousreply 6January 6, 2020 1:59 AM

I always mute this part of the show.

by Anonymousreply 7January 6, 2020 1:59 AM

Where the fuck is Ricky? Fuck you NBC.

by Anonymousreply 8January 6, 2020 1:59 AM

When did GG turn into an honorarium orgy?

by Anonymousreply 9January 6, 2020 2:00 AM

WTF is he going on about?

by Anonymousreply 10January 6, 2020 2:00 AM

That was longer than...

by Anonymousreply 11January 6, 2020 2:00 AM

Jesus Christ Tom, shut the fuck up

by Anonymousreply 12January 6, 2020 2:00 AM

I wish Ricky had made fun of how long Tom spoke.

by Anonymousreply 13January 6, 2020 2:01 AM

Drunk as a skunk

by Anonymousreply 14January 6, 2020 2:01 AM

Is Hanks kissing up to Marty for a role, he referencing him multiple times?

by Anonymousreply 15January 6, 2020 2:01 AM

My ears are bleeding.

by Anonymousreply 16January 6, 2020 2:01 AM
I wish Ricky had made fun of how long Tom spoke.

He kind of did with that "Amazing..."

by Anonymousreply 17January 6, 2020 2:01 AM

Who was that old drunk who just loitered onstage for 10 minutes?

by Anonymousreply 18January 6, 2020 2:01 AM

Helen Mirren looks lovely

by Anonymousreply 19January 6, 2020 2:01 AM

Hit your mark! Learn the text! Give me another savage orange drink!

by Anonymousreply 20January 6, 2020 2:01 AM

Ricky won't, he clearly got in trouble. He is behaving now. Notice how quiet he is now.

by Anonymousreply 21January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

Tom has the floo

by Anonymousreply 22January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

Mirren is best dressed.

by Anonymousreply 23January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

I bet Hanks's cold medicines interacted with the alcohol and made him drunker than he expected.

by Anonymousreply 24January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

Shut the fuck up!

by Anonymousreply 25January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

Tom Hanks must have gotten a little coke bump from Chet!

by Anonymousreply 26January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

Shawn Mendes won!!!

by Anonymousreply 27January 6, 2020 2:02 AM
Who was that old drunk who just loitered onstage for 10 minutes?

That's a cruel thing to say about Dame Helen Mirren!

by Anonymousreply 28January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

And award to the biggest/worst sanctimonious cunt in history. Tom Hanks.

by Anonymousreply 29January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

Wtf?

by Anonymousreply 30January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

Holy shit! Sam Mendes.

That is a shocker!

by Anonymousreply 31January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

Antonio Banderas was incredible is Pain and Glory

by Anonymousreply 32January 6, 2020 2:02 AM

Sam Mendes over Scorsese and QT?!

Wow.

by Anonymousreply 33January 6, 2020 2:03 AM

Is Kate shooting eye daggers? Is she there? I thought she was but it was Sienna Miller.

by Anonymousreply 34January 6, 2020 2:03 AM

Another loss for Quentin! Poor baby, no longer the toast of Hollywood. Maybe if he made better movies...

REALLY want to see Pain and Glory

by Anonymousreply 35January 6, 2020 2:03 AM

R32, you should watch Banderas in Genius: Picasso.

by Anonymousreply 36January 6, 2020 2:03 AM

Has anyone seen 1917?

by Anonymousreply 37January 6, 2020 2:03 AM

Antonio can still get it!

by Anonymousreply 38January 6, 2020 2:04 AM

Antonio still looks pretty great.

by Anonymousreply 39January 6, 2020 2:04 AM

Glad that OUTIH did not win.

by Anonymousreply 40January 6, 2020 2:04 AM

Fuuuuck Mendes already has an Oscar from one of the worst pictures ever. He doesn’t need another.

by Anonymousreply 41January 6, 2020 2:04 AM

Thank God not creepy Quentin.

by Anonymousreply 42January 6, 2020 2:04 AM

Thank God not creepy Quentin.

by Anonymousreply 43January 6, 2020 2:04 AM

"I want to take a leaf out of Tom Hanks' book...."

Brits are so adorable with their funny words!

by Anonymousreply 44January 6, 2020 2:04 AM

Mendes wins, I can't wait to see 1917. It doesn't open in my area until Friday.

Tarantino and Scorsese must have split the gangsta vote.

So glad that HOAX THE IRISHMAN didn't win!

by Anonymousreply 45January 6, 2020 2:04 AM

Everybody's saluting Scorcese, because of his age probably. Bobby D looks pissed.

by Anonymousreply 46January 6, 2020 2:04 AM

Patty's tits stole the show. Those bulging porcelain orbs were marvelous. So many gents wanna cum on those tits right now.

by Anonymousreply 47January 6, 2020 2:05 AM

Todd Phillips is not bad looking

by Anonymousreply 48January 6, 2020 2:05 AM

I thought the guy from Parasite might win

by Anonymousreply 49January 6, 2020 2:05 AM

R37, Not out yet.

by Anonymousreply 50January 6, 2020 2:05 AM

r46 or because of his filmography

by Anonymousreply 51January 6, 2020 2:05 AM

Wait, what did RG say about female directors?

by Anonymousreply 52January 6, 2020 2:05 AM

Another mediocre white man won

by Anonymousreply 53January 6, 2020 2:05 AM

When does Renée Zellweger get her award for Judy?

by Anonymousreply 54January 6, 2020 2:05 AM

OMG. That was Gong Li.

Now I gottta go see Mulan.

by Anonymousreply 55January 6, 2020 2:05 AM

So, no talking dragon in Mulan remake?

by Anonymousreply 56January 6, 2020 2:05 AM

Mendes didnt deserve to win. That belonged to Tarantino

by Anonymousreply 57January 6, 2020 2:06 AM

The cam version of 1917 is online already. Might watch it one of these days.

by Anonymousreply 58January 6, 2020 2:06 AM

Have you seen 1917 r57?

by Anonymousreply 59January 6, 2020 2:06 AM

I like that studio space. Is it a different set each year?

by Anonymousreply 60January 6, 2020 2:06 AM

OH MY GOD I was watching that Mulan trailer w/o knowing what it was and I thought "What, they made a live action Mulan?"

by Anonymousreply 61January 6, 2020 2:06 AM

Is 1917 also nominated for the cutest suffering twinks award?

by Anonymousreply 62January 6, 2020 2:07 AM

R37 many DLers loved that year. They were babes then.

by Anonymousreply 63January 6, 2020 2:07 AM

Is it over?

by Anonymousreply 64January 6, 2020 2:07 AM

Holy shit - I did not know about the Winkler/Hanks feud until now. Love you, DL! The cut to Winkler’s bitchface as Hanks was rambling was priceless, especially knowing their history!

by Anonymousreply 65January 6, 2020 2:07 AM

Walt is spinning in his grave over Disney's lack of imagination.

by Anonymousreply 66January 6, 2020 2:08 AM

Word of mouth is that 1917 is exceptional.

by Anonymousreply 67January 6, 2020 2:08 AM

Yes, r37. It’s an amazing movie, my second favorite of the year after Parasite. A must on the big screen.

by Anonymousreply 68January 6, 2020 2:08 AM

I think we still have another hour to go

by Anonymousreply 69January 6, 2020 2:08 AM

1917 isn't getting great reviews

by Anonymousreply 70January 6, 2020 2:08 AM

Guys I don't know about Mendes winning. I hope it stops here at the Globes. There are way better directorial feats this year.

Cate looks AMAZING!

by Anonymousreply 71January 6, 2020 2:08 AM

I asked before but can those of you complaining about white people winning these things list the people of color who should be winning? If there aren't any this year, there just aren't any. World goes on.

by Anonymousreply 72January 6, 2020 2:08 AM

1917 cutie George MacKay was on screen for a hot second. Ginger fans might remember him from CAPTAIN FANTASTIC.

by Anonymousreply 73January 6, 2020 2:09 AM

WHAT is she wearing

by Anonymousreply 74January 6, 2020 2:09 AM

So Baumbach and Gerwig were snubbed for the director nod? Good.

by Anonymousreply 75January 6, 2020 2:09 AM

R56 No, no talking dragons or songs. They are sticking closer to the source content to appeal to the Chinese market.

by Anonymousreply 76January 6, 2020 2:09 AM

Tom Hanks might be all wonderfully humble and shit, but his cunt wife posted on Twitter several times, whining about how her hair and makeup person was late.

HOW DARE THEY!

by Anonymousreply 77January 6, 2020 2:09 AM

Liked it better when it was titled Dunkirk.

by Anonymousreply 78January 6, 2020 2:09 AM

Why is Kate Blanchet channeling Mothra tonight?

by Anonymousreply 79January 6, 2020 2:09 AM

Remember "Where'd You Go, Bernadette?" LOL.

by Anonymousreply 80January 6, 2020 2:09 AM

Cate needs to fire her stylist.

by Anonymousreply 81January 6, 2020 2:09 AM

Cate looks like she is falling down on her ass drunk. I'm talking Blue Jasmine drunk.

by Anonymousreply 82January 6, 2020 2:09 AM

Cate is wearing a Vegas showgirl outfit from 1962.

by Anonymousreply 84January 6, 2020 2:10 AM

Some of the ugliest dresses in creation are on display tonight.

What the hell happened?

by Anonymousreply 85January 6, 2020 2:10 AM

Loved 1917. Far superior to the rest, which are the same old, same old, especially The Irishman.

What's his name was unbearably overbearing, as always.

by Anonymousreply 86January 6, 2020 2:10 AM

What in the holy fuck is that dress on Miss Cate?

by Anonymousreply 87January 6, 2020 2:10 AM

I don't like Cate's Bride of Dracula dress.

by Anonymousreply 88January 6, 2020 2:10 AM

What's Salma Hayek's new last name?

by Anonymousreply 89January 6, 2020 2:10 AM

More BOOBS!!!

by Anonymousreply 90January 6, 2020 2:10 AM

I think Cate Blanchett just dissed Joker. Drama? Pfft.

by Anonymousreply 91January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

We've gotten to the point where super hero/comic book movies are taken seriously and nominated for awards. Yuck.

The backlash against this shit can't come soon enough.

by Anonymousreply 92January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

I can see her breast wrinkles

by Anonymousreply 93January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

Every time Gerwig and Baumbach lose out, I cum a little. Insufferable people.

by Anonymousreply 94January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

Will Mrs. Thomas Kail win?

by Anonymousreply 95January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

Blanchett's head looks weirdly big in that dress.

by Anonymousreply 96January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

Oh my god another one with the tits out

by Anonymousreply 97January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

If Cate Blanchett is against climate disaster, why does she party with Rupert Murdoch?!

by Anonymousreply 98January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

"Loved 1917. Far superior to the rest, which are the same old, same old, especially The Irishman."

1917 was crap, directed by a hack. No one will remember Mendes 50 years from now.

by Anonymousreply 99January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

Titties y’all!

by Anonymousreply 100January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

We're all in these bush fires together ......now back to the party!

by Anonymousreply 101January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

Cate is always fake on talk shows.

by Anonymousreply 102January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

Hasn't there always been a rumor that the Golden globes are bought more than won going back to when it was almost a sure thing that Pia Zadora's then billionaire husband bought her one for some piece of shit she was in in the 1980s?

by Anonymousreply 103January 6, 2020 2:11 AM

Poor Salma has to slum in this awful Tiffany Haddish movie. Someone needs to write her a great part of build an awesome TV show around her. She's an actual talent.

by Anonymousreply 104January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

Because, r78, all World Wars look alike, right?

by Anonymousreply 105January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

Selma's big tits fit that dress well.

by Anonymousreply 106January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

Why is Henry Winkler there?

by Anonymousreply 107January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

Michelle looks great! Those colors look wonderful together and on her.

by Anonymousreply 108January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

R78, 1917 is actually better than Dunkirk.

by Anonymousreply 109January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

Orange bedsheets. Ugh.

by Anonymousreply 110January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

Too bad Andrew Scott didn't win. Love him.

I'm glad for Brian Cox, though. He's such an underrated actor.

by Anonymousreply 111January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

I think it's Billionaire r89

by Anonymousreply 112January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

The one black person they get for the show is so not funny.

by Anonymousreply 113January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

Hayek's boobs to Arquette's- Hold my beer.

by Anonymousreply 114January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

I loved Messy Williams in Fosse/Verdon!

by Anonymousreply 115January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

Happy for Michelle Williams!

by Anonymousreply 116January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

Another shit dress

by Anonymousreply 117January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

The ad for Mulan was good. Cinematography looked great.

by Anonymousreply 118January 6, 2020 2:12 AM

She was SO GOOD in Fosse/Verdon

by Anonymousreply 119January 6, 2020 2:13 AM

Blanchett's tits must have run away and joined Arquette's.

Momoa has a bigger cup size

by Anonymousreply 120January 6, 2020 2:13 AM
Why is Henry Winkler there?

Barry. Great show if you haven't seen it.

by Anonymousreply 121January 6, 2020 2:13 AM

There are tons of actors across so many decades in the room tonight. It's a marvel.

by Anonymousreply 122January 6, 2020 2:13 AM

R107 He was a nominee for Barry.

by Anonymousreply 123January 6, 2020 2:13 AM

Shut up Michelle.

I am really hating these people tonight.

by Anonymousreply 124January 6, 2020 2:13 AM

Michelle Williams came to slay tonight!

by Anonymousreply 125January 6, 2020 2:13 AM

by Anonymousreply 131January 6, 2020 2:14 AM

I'm sick of Michelle and her bullshit feminism. Fuck her.

by Anonymousreply 132January 6, 2020 2:14 AM

Did Michelle Williams just admit to getting an abortion?

by Anonymousreply 133January 6, 2020 2:14 AM

Is that a dead iris on Michelle Williams's shoulder? or is it some kind of dead blue beetle?

by Anonymousreply 134January 6, 2020 2:14 AM

She knows this is her last awards stop for Fosse/Verdon so she's going all out! Get it gurl!

by Anonymousreply 135January 6, 2020 2:14 AM

Jennifer Aniston looks like a dried prune

by Anonymousreply 136January 6, 2020 2:14 AM

Would it hurt Michelle Williams to thank her writers and directors?

And, you know, Gwen Verdon?

by Anonymousreply 137January 6, 2020 2:14 AM

Michelle Williams KNEW that she was going to win for her amazing performance in Fosse/Verdon. She came prepared with a Speech!

She is THAT bitch!

by Anonymousreply 138January 6, 2020 2:14 AM

This black woman is obnoxious

by Anonymousreply 139January 6, 2020 2:15 AM

Is Tiffany Haddish drunk?

by Anonymousreply 140January 6, 2020 2:15 AM

Busy Phillips just wiped away a non-existent tear.

by Anonymousreply 141January 6, 2020 2:15 AM

I like Haddish's dress.

by Anonymousreply 145January 6, 2020 2:15 AM

Stfu, Tiffany.

by Anonymousreply 146January 6, 2020 2:15 AM

Tiffany Haddish and Michelle Williams are werkin' that Sherbert Chic.

by Anonymousreply 147January 6, 2020 2:15 AM

So we should vote for Elizabeth Warren, Michelle?

by Anonymousreply 148January 6, 2020 2:15 AM

Fuck your, Tim Allen in the audience!

by Anonymousreply 149January 6, 2020 2:15 AM

So embarrassing and graceless.

by Anonymousreply 150January 6, 2020 2:15 AM

Chernobyl was the best horror show of the year.

by Anonymousreply 151January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

Did you see how happy Nicholas Braun was for Chernobyl's win?! He's a SAINT! I want to climb him. He should be at all awards shows. Can't wait to see him at every Emmys Succession is on air for!

by Anonymousreply 152January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

Did Michelle thank her latest baby Daddy AND his spurned ex that she stole him from?

by Anonymousreply 153January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

So Michelle Williams just said she couldn’t have gotten to where she did without having abortion(s)? Is that what I heard?

by Anonymousreply 154January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

What a self righteous cuuuuunt

by Anonymousreply 155January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

Winkler was nominated for Barry

by Anonymousreply 156January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

Every democrat is pro-choice r148.

Basically she is saying, don't vote Republican.

by Anonymousreply 157January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

That is so nice that the Chernobyl people invited a homeless person to come up on stage with them. They even let him keep his hat!!

by Anonymousreply 158January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

Michelle Williams, you in danger girl.

Twitter is going to blow up over her admitting she killed a fetus

by Anonymousreply 159January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

It looks like a 17th century Puritan is on stage--wearing a diamond Chanel brooch.

by Anonymousreply 160January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

More lesbians!

by Anonymousreply 161January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

I would not have expected Michelle Wiliams to be the most outspoken, good for her. Did she pretty much say she had an abortion?

by Anonymousreply 162January 6, 2020 2:16 AM

Lesbians just can't do formal wear. Hm.

by Anonymousreply 163January 6, 2020 2:17 AM

Is Nicholas Braun gay?

by Anonymousreply 164January 6, 2020 2:17 AM

Michelle Williams owes her career to her baby daddy’s OD’ing.

She’s not all that.

by Anonymousreply 165January 6, 2020 2:17 AM

Jared Harris should have won his award. Russell Crowe ain't protecting SHIT in Australia besides his leftovers.

by Anonymousreply 166January 6, 2020 2:17 AM

Disappointed that Michelle Williams didn’t speak about the Fosse/Verdon experience at all save for a quick shout out. Some acknowledgement of her costars and the wonder that was Verdon would have been nice.

by Anonymousreply 167January 6, 2020 2:17 AM

Loved Michelle Williams!

by Anonymousreply 168January 6, 2020 2:17 AM

Bateman in a beard looks hot AF in the cutaways

by Anonymousreply 169January 6, 2020 2:17 AM

Press F for Michelle's aborted film career

by Anonymousreply 170January 6, 2020 2:17 AM

Selma's cha chas beat out PA's. Sorry.

by Anonymousreply 171January 6, 2020 2:17 AM

Goddamn NBC feed craps out during every speech.

by Anonymousreply 172January 6, 2020 2:17 AM

Little girls don't care about Mulan. It will bomb.

by Anonymousreply 173January 6, 2020 2:18 AM

We want more Mamoa tits!

by Anonymousreply 174January 6, 2020 2:18 AM

r154 she said she could choose when to have a child because she had a choice and that allowed her to plan.

by Anonymousreply 175January 6, 2020 2:18 AM

So what if she had abortions? She had the baby that counted the most (Heath's) and is now bearing the fruit of her next meal ticket....err, life partner.

by Anonymousreply 176January 6, 2020 2:18 AM

All the lezzies watching must be creaming their sagging, baggy jeans right now. Fuck, the tits tonight are hurting my faggy eyes.

by Anonymousreply 177January 6, 2020 2:18 AM

I loved Michelle’s speech. Best of the night.

by Anonymousreply 178January 6, 2020 2:18 AM
She’s not all that.

Actually, yes she is. She was amazing in Fosse/Verdon, likewise in All the Money in the World.

by Anonymousreply 179January 6, 2020 2:18 AM

Did Michelle kill a James Van der Beek baby and that’s why he’s making up for it with so many?

by Anonymousreply 180January 6, 2020 2:19 AM

Michelle Williams has already won many awards for Fosse/Verdon and done the typical acceptance speech several times r167.

No doubt that was part of why she wanted to switch it up for this last outing for that role.

by Anonymousreply 181January 6, 2020 2:19 AM

Uhhhhhhhhh who told Jared Harris he could be ESPECIALLY dashing and debonair and beautiful tonight?!

by Anonymousreply 182January 6, 2020 2:19 AM

Count your blessings R172

by Anonymousreply 183January 6, 2020 2:19 AM

I can't tell which gaffe will have the most blowback: Ellen outing Carol Bernett or Michelle saying that she wouldn't have a career if she didn't have (an) abortion(s)

by Anonymousreply 184January 6, 2020 2:19 AM
She’s not all that.

Even eons ago when Michelle was a kid doing a death scene at the end of Dawson's Creek, we knew she was all that.

by Anonymousreply 185January 6, 2020 2:19 AM

I love Ewan Mcgregor’s Beautiful penis

by Anonymousreply 186January 6, 2020 2:20 AM

Dunkirk was unwatchable, 1917 compelling from start to finish.

by Anonymousreply 187January 6, 2020 2:20 AM

Jared Harris is hot!

by Anonymousreply 188January 6, 2020 2:20 AM

Look at the bitch who's L'oreal's new spokesmodel.

by Anonymousreply 189January 6, 2020 2:20 AM

She's right though men have been voting for their own self interest, but too many women vote how their men want them to vote.

by Anonymousreply 190January 6, 2020 2:20 AM

Mulan looks way more visually inspired than the Disney remakes we've received over the past decade.

by Anonymousreply 191January 6, 2020 2:20 AM

I agree with Michelle's sentiment, but I can't stand her. She has rode on a lot of sympathy due to HL,, when their relationship was brief like all her other ones. Then she gets pregnant by someone's else's husband while still married herself, I guess that was her choosing.

by Anonymousreply 192January 6, 2020 2:20 AM

Fosse/Verdon was a BORE which I stopped watching a few minutes into Ep 2.

by Anonymousreply 193January 6, 2020 2:20 AM

Michelle William's died on Dawson's Creek?!?! Spoiler warnings, please!!

by Anonymousreply 194January 6, 2020 2:21 AM

R177 LMAOOO DEAD. BEST COMMENT OF THE NIGHT. Ricky? Is that you?

by Anonymousreply 195January 6, 2020 2:21 AM

Back to the commercials: Flyoverstanis: do many of your countrywomen die their own hair? Do they do it in between salon visits as a touch up or is it a common thing?

by Anonymousreply 196January 6, 2020 2:21 AM

Besides Tiffany Haddish, the most Black we're getting tonight is the commercial with the lady whose "She Shed" is on fire.

by Anonymousreply 197January 6, 2020 2:21 AM

Obviously Michelle's speech triggered some deplorables

by Anonymousreply 198January 6, 2020 2:21 AM

As far as Hollywood's Right Wing Lunatics go, I'll take Tim Allen over James Woods or Jon Voight any day.

by Anonymousreply 199January 6, 2020 2:21 AM

Ricky is probably laughing his ass of at Michelle's shitty speech

by Anonymousreply 200January 6, 2020 2:21 AM

Did they really need to pan to Michelle life partner Busy multiple times?

by Anonymousreply 201January 6, 2020 2:21 AM

When do we get to see Renee get it for Judy?

by Anonymousreply 202January 6, 2020 2:22 AM

So what was beeped in the Judi Dench joke in the beginning? Thanks in advance.

by Anonymousreply 203January 6, 2020 2:22 AM

dye --not die

by Anonymousreply 204January 6, 2020 2:22 AM

r192 It was brief because he died.

by Anonymousreply 205January 6, 2020 2:22 AM

Only live things go into my pussy and sometimes dead things come out!

by Anonymousreply 206January 6, 2020 2:22 AM

R181 Michelle is nominated at SAG and Critics Choice. So it’s not her last stop.

by Anonymousreply 207January 6, 2020 2:22 AM

R181 Michelle is nominated at SAG and Critics Choice. So it’s not her last stop.

by Anonymousreply 208January 6, 2020 2:22 AM

Who is this black woman in this hideous fuchsia dress?

by Anonymousreply 209January 6, 2020 2:22 AM

Wesley Snipes almost stole "Dolemite Is My Name" from Eddie Murphy.

by Anonymousreply 210January 6, 2020 2:22 AM

R135, Michelle still has the SAG Award to accept later this month.

by Anonymousreply 211January 6, 2020 2:22 AM

Now we gotta see Gabourey Sidibe's titty honkers. Yuck.

by Anonymousreply 212January 6, 2020 2:23 AM

Wesley Snipes looks great!

by Anonymousreply 213January 6, 2020 2:23 AM

No way in hell does Amber Heard use Loreal box dye.

by Anonymousreply 214January 6, 2020 2:23 AM

OMG Jlos dress!

by Anonymousreply 215January 6, 2020 2:23 AM

That dress is hideous.

by Anonymousreply 216January 6, 2020 2:23 AM

Sorry, but Eddie Murphy is woefullly miscast as Dolemite.

by Anonymousreply 217January 6, 2020 2:23 AM

JLO bow!

by Anonymousreply 218January 6, 2020 2:23 AM
1917 compelling from start to finish.

It’s a video game. All credit should go to Deakins not Mendes.

by Anonymousreply 219January 6, 2020 2:23 AM

JLo - Just say no to the bow!!

by Anonymousreply 220January 6, 2020 2:23 AM

Somewhere in an attic there is a photo of Paul Rudd from 1984 where he slowly gets older.

by Anonymousreply 221January 6, 2020 2:24 AM

HILDUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS SO FUCKING BEYOND DESERVED! Amazing scores for both Joker and Chernobyl this year! She's so wonderful!!!!!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 222January 6, 2020 2:24 AM

Joaquin really does need to win for Joker.

by Anonymousreply 223January 6, 2020 2:24 AM

Good win. I loved the Joker score.

by Anonymousreply 224January 6, 2020 2:24 AM

Fair enough r207. I remember her winning the emmy back in September so it just seems like she has been accepting awards for a while, but you are right, there are still more to go.

by Anonymousreply 225January 6, 2020 2:24 AM

Paul Rudd looking FINE as usual!

by Anonymousreply 226January 6, 2020 2:24 AM

No R198. It’s because she a mediocre actress and a pretentious, knife-you- in-the-back twat.

by Anonymousreply 227January 6, 2020 2:24 AM

Who dressed these fucking people tonight! Jesus tits on Christ!

by Anonymousreply 228January 6, 2020 2:25 AM

That was a fantastic score! She did Chernobyl?

by Anonymousreply 229January 6, 2020 2:25 AM

Well the POC may not be nominated or winning, but they are well represented in presenting.

by Anonymousreply 230January 6, 2020 2:25 AM

Motherless Brooklyn is a good book

by Anonymousreply 231January 6, 2020 2:25 AM

Cate Blanchett’s dress frightened me.

by Anonymousreply 232January 6, 2020 2:25 AM
She has rode on a lot of sympathy due to HL,, when their relationship was brief like all her other ones

She has RODE?!? Jesus.

She has ridden on her talent. That’s it.

by Anonymousreply 233January 6, 2020 2:25 AM

OMG Hildur's husband's adorable! I'm so happy for her!!!

by Anonymousreply 234January 6, 2020 2:25 AM
Besides Tiffany Haddish, the most Black we're getting tonight is the commercial with the lady whose "She Shed" is on fire.

She Shed On Fire should be a band name. And 'she shed' should be a euphemism for vadge.

Again, since people keep complaining about white people winning things, which black actors or directors or writers should be winning this year instead?

by Anonymousreply 235January 6, 2020 2:25 AM

r227 sounds triggered. Poor thing.

by Anonymousreply 236January 6, 2020 2:25 AM

Oh shit Pesci's sitting the awards out! Will he be at the Oscars?!

by Anonymousreply 237January 6, 2020 2:26 AM

Paul Rudd never ages! He is amazing.

by Anonymousreply 238January 6, 2020 2:26 AM

JLO face is 4 different colors

Brad!!!

by Anonymousreply 239January 6, 2020 2:26 AM

Brad Pitt was only "supporting" actor??

by Anonymousreply 240January 6, 2020 2:26 AM

If that bow on Jlo's dress could spin it could carry her away.

by Anonymousreply 241January 6, 2020 2:26 AM

I knew Brad'd win.

by Anonymousreply 242January 6, 2020 2:26 AM

Hildur and her husband are an adorable couple.

by Anonymousreply 243January 6, 2020 2:26 AM

r159 must be a Republican

Only freepers hate her

Go, Michelle!

by Anonymousreply 244January 6, 2020 2:26 AM

Holy shit, Joe Pesci was robbed.

by Anonymousreply 245January 6, 2020 2:27 AM

you can’t GET any whiter than Iceland.

by Anonymousreply 246January 6, 2020 2:27 AM

It may be a better album name R235, but point taken.

by Anonymousreply 247January 6, 2020 2:27 AM

Same here, r193, and I adore Sam R.!

by Anonymousreply 248January 6, 2020 2:27 AM

Too bad Joan Rivers is no longer with us. You know she would've been trashing all of these dresses/boobs/etc.

Sorry, but Brad Pitt doesn't deserve that award.

by Anonymousreply 249January 6, 2020 2:27 AM

Pesci is more deserving, but it's just "Brad's Time"

by Anonymousreply 250January 6, 2020 2:27 AM

Pitt looks amazing for 55

And likely won for being able to take his shirt off and look 25 in OUATIH

by Anonymousreply 251January 6, 2020 2:27 AM

Now Brad knows how to give a proper speech.

by Anonymousreply 252January 6, 2020 2:27 AM

Pitt is also drinking again.

by Anonymousreply 253January 6, 2020 2:28 AM

Brad should thank Neil Diamond.

by Anonymousreply 254January 6, 2020 2:28 AM

I want a shot of Aniston’s reaction.

by Anonymousreply 255January 6, 2020 2:28 AM

The best score of the year was in the Safdie Brothers' UNCUT GEMS.

It's a very creative, retro-'80s masterpiece. That it wasn't even nominated shows you what a bunch of out-of-it, old farts the HFPAA is.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 256January 6, 2020 2:28 AM

He's 55? Wow..those are some superior genes.

by Anonymousreply 257January 6, 2020 2:29 AM

Ugh. Brad fucking Pitt. What the fuck ever. He may be a movie star but he doesn't deserve awards.

by Anonymousreply 258January 6, 2020 2:29 AM

Okay Brad. Okay Brad! I'm in support of him sweeping the season! That was a chill, droll speech and I'm here for it!

by Anonymousreply 259January 6, 2020 2:29 AM

Jen was pleased.

by Anonymousreply 260January 6, 2020 2:29 AM

Is Pitt putting on that voice?

by Anonymousreply 261January 6, 2020 2:29 AM
So what was beeped in the Judi Dench joke in the beginning? Thanks in advance.

[italic]Making fun of the ragged reviews Cats received, Gervais made sure to include positive reactions to the film. “But Dame Judy Dench defended the film, saying it was the role she was born to play. Because she — I can’t do this next joke,” he paused to laugh. “Because she loves nothing better than plunking herself down on the carpet, lifting her leg, and licking her own [expletive].” Well, we can use our imaginations on that one, can’t we?[/italic]

The bleeped word seemed to be asshole.

by Anonymousreply 262January 6, 2020 2:29 AM

Ugh, those frozen smiles on the envelope people!

by Anonymousreply 263January 6, 2020 2:30 AM

Brad and Jen need to get back together.

by Anonymousreply 264January 6, 2020 2:30 AM

Of course, the press will be all about Michelle ‘s abortion comments (with which I agree) and not her man-hating comments. You can support a woman’s right to choose without demonizing the other half of humanity.

by Anonymousreply 265January 6, 2020 2:30 AM

Jlo is a mess, Brad looks good, Pacino's hair is out of control

by Anonymousreply 266January 6, 2020 2:30 AM

What did Pitt jyst say at the end there? “If you get a chance to get conscious, take it”? Or something? He was slurring pretty bad.

by Anonymousreply 267January 6, 2020 2:30 AM

Pacino's hair always looks like that.

by Anonymousreply 268January 6, 2020 2:31 AM

"Dunkirk was unwatchable, 1917 compelling from start to finish."

No, they were both overrated crap, with characters you don't give a shit about

by Anonymousreply 269January 6, 2020 2:31 AM

Brad is the only man in that crowd who actually looks like a movie star

by Anonymousreply 270January 6, 2020 2:31 AM

Brad Pitt can sit on my face anytime

by Anonymousreply 271January 6, 2020 2:31 AM

Oscar number2 coming for Brad.

by Anonymousreply 272January 6, 2020 2:31 AM

Well, Brad forgot to thank me! Only two blowjobs and prostate massage for him tonight. No fucking! How dare he!

by Anonymousreply 273January 6, 2020 2:31 AM

Hunters by Jordan Peele doesn't look good.

by Anonymousreply 274January 6, 2020 2:32 AM

R267 - to do something nice for someone.

by Anonymousreply 275January 6, 2020 2:32 AM

Is that Logan Lerman?

by Anonymousreply 276January 6, 2020 2:32 AM

R70 100% true!

by Anonymousreply 277January 6, 2020 2:32 AM

Are people sad enough to watch sequels to Geico commercials online?

by Anonymousreply 278January 6, 2020 2:32 AM

r267 if you get the change to be kind to someone tomorrow do it. We could all use kindness right now.

r268 yes

by Anonymousreply 279January 6, 2020 2:33 AM

This is like a three hour infomercial for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and HBO

by Anonymousreply 280January 6, 2020 2:33 AM

If you get a chance to be kind to someone...

by Anonymousreply 281January 6, 2020 2:33 AM

Did Pitt not acknowledge his rainbow tribe children? Even Hanks gave a shout out to his druggy spawn.

by Anonymousreply 282January 6, 2020 2:34 AM

Will the misogynist woman-basher FUCK OFF already?

We get it, you're a nelly queen who never grew a dick and can't handle nature. Was your mama's canal THAT nasty?

Bitch just can't get over it.

by Anonymousreply 283January 6, 2020 2:34 AM

It's a titty committee tonight y'all.

by Anonymousreply 284January 6, 2020 2:34 AM

Is this shit over yet? Did Parasite win.

by Anonymousreply 285January 6, 2020 2:34 AM

WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!

by Anonymousreply 286January 6, 2020 2:34 AM

Oh wow. Taron is gaining a lot of momentum.

by Anonymousreply 287January 6, 2020 2:35 AM

He totally just ignored Elton John's waiting arms.

by Anonymousreply 288January 6, 2020 2:35 AM

My boyfriend Chris Evans' receding hairline looks tactfully minimized tonight.

CAN'T SAY THE SAME ABOUT TARON

by Anonymousreply 289January 6, 2020 2:35 AM

“Eddie Murphy has left the building”

by Anonymousreply 290January 6, 2020 2:35 AM

So Taron Egerton and Ansel Elgort are two separate people.

And one of those people are British.

by Anonymousreply 291January 6, 2020 2:35 AM

Leo loses!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 292January 6, 2020 2:35 AM

Taron looks good. I know he's been balding. I also know he's been campaigning like a motherfucker for this film, so I'm happy for him! He was a full blown hunk in the first Kingsman.

by Anonymousreply 293January 6, 2020 2:35 AM

Wow! Brad Pitt! I mean, where to start!? He looks absolutely fantastic, so much charisma, he's so old Hollywood style it's refreshing, and a great speech that's just the right tone for an awards show, what a guy! A bonafide movie star! Muah! I think I like Brad more than I ever had before

by Anonymousreply 294January 6, 2020 2:35 AM

Oh Eddie Murphy is NOT going to be in this room for very much longer!

LOL

by Anonymousreply 295January 6, 2020 2:35 AM

Elton really wanted to congratulate Taron but he stiffed him.

by Anonymousreply 296January 6, 2020 2:36 AM

HE DIDN’T EVEN LOOK AT ELTON WHEN HE WON WTF

by Anonymousreply 297January 6, 2020 2:36 AM

Taron left dame Elton hanging with the hug that never came.

by Anonymousreply 298January 6, 2020 2:36 AM

Leo should be used to it.

by Anonymousreply 299January 6, 2020 2:36 AM

Leo loses. Yes!!

by Anonymousreply 300January 6, 2020 2:36 AM

Taron's face showed his nervousness before the win.

by Anonymousreply 301January 6, 2020 2:36 AM

Ricky Gervais is embarrassingly bad tonight. Just cringeworthy.

by Anonymousreply 302January 6, 2020 2:36 AM

Someone buy this for Taron?

by Anonymousreply 303January 6, 2020 2:36 AM

R270 100% true!

by Anonymousreply 304January 6, 2020 2:36 AM

I love seeing Brad get some respect r294. He was always a nice celeb that worked with what he had and matured as an actor.

by Anonymousreply 305January 6, 2020 2:37 AM

Did Taron 3-way with Elton and hubby?

by Anonymousreply 306January 6, 2020 2:37 AM

Finally thanks to Elton John.

by Anonymousreply 307January 6, 2020 2:37 AM

He NEVER HUGGED ELTON!!!!

by Anonymousreply 308January 6, 2020 2:37 AM

Dolemite is just ok, as is Eddie, but Taron? NFW

by Anonymousreply 309January 6, 2020 2:37 AM

Chris Evans HAS to lay off on the Botox around the eyes. He's frozen.

by Anonymousreply 310January 6, 2020 2:37 AM

He thanked his mother.

Should have said "Thank you mum for not aborting me."

by Anonymousreply 311January 6, 2020 2:37 AM

Taran beat Eddie Murphy (big comeback!!) AND Leo DiCaprio (award-bait performance).

Wow.

by Anonymousreply 312January 6, 2020 2:37 AM

Oh, Taron? Didn’t see that coming!

by Anonymousreply 313January 6, 2020 2:38 AM

Eddie is getting in the limo

by Anonymousreply 314January 6, 2020 2:38 AM

Well deserved for Awkwafina

by Anonymousreply 315January 6, 2020 2:38 AM

Zhao Shuzhen looks WONDERFUL tonight! Love the color in her hair. Hope she's nominated for an Oscar! Happy for Awkwafina. She's had quite the career rise over the past couple of years.

by Anonymousreply 316January 6, 2020 2:38 AM

Taron's glad he won't have to suck old man dick anymore.

by Anonymousreply 317January 6, 2020 2:38 AM

Taron ungrateful piece of crap

by Anonymousreply 318January 6, 2020 2:38 AM

Were they afraid that Awkwafina was going to start biting her tail so they put that collar on her?

by Anonymousreply 319January 6, 2020 2:38 AM

I totally dig the stage name "Awkwafina"

by Anonymousreply 320January 6, 2020 2:38 AM

by Anonymousreply 328January 6, 2020 2:40 AM

by Anonymousreply 329January 6, 2020 2:40 AM

by Anonymousreply 331January 6, 2020 2:40 AM

by Anonymousreply 332January 6, 2020 2:41 AM

by Anonymousreply 333January 6, 2020 2:41 AM

Awkwafina is a genuinely, organically major talent. Well deserved.

by Anonymousreply 340January 6, 2020 2:42 AM

by Anonymousreply 341January 6, 2020 2:42 AM

Eddie currently dodging the po po as he cruises for MTFs

by Anonymousreply 342January 6, 2020 2:42 AM

Probably wig. Still looks hot.

by Anonymousreply 343January 6, 2020 2:42 AM

What's so great about the JOKER score? I don't remember it, but it does give you a chance to be contrarian and pretend you know/cared.

by Anonymousreply 344January 6, 2020 2:42 AM

Marriage Story looks fucking depressing. Introspective, pretentious bullhit..

by Anonymousreply 345January 6, 2020 2:43 AM

I'm shocked did I miss it or was Joaquin Phoenix not even nominated for Joker.

by Anonymousreply 346January 6, 2020 2:44 AM

You see Brad and then you see Adam Driver and think:"what the fuck happened Hollywood?"

by Anonymousreply 347January 6, 2020 2:44 AM

The whiter you are the closer you get to the stage.

by Anonymousreply 348January 6, 2020 2:44 AM

Best actor drama didn't happen yet.

by Anonymousreply 349January 6, 2020 2:44 AM

That scene they showed with the dad opening his arms to his kid reminded me of Kramer VS Kramer.

by Anonymousreply 350January 6, 2020 2:44 AM

That award is yet to be given.

by Anonymousreply 351January 6, 2020 2:44 AM

Marriage Story isn't "pretentious" at all but it isn't for the Super Hero or Animation crowd.

by Anonymousreply 352January 6, 2020 2:45 AM

Everyone get that? Because of R344's ignorance, we're all pretending to like Hildur's score for Joker. There's no way others could have had a completely different experience than her... we're all actually being hipsters about it and pretending to love the score!

by Anonymousreply 353January 6, 2020 2:45 AM

DUNKIRK was awesome. r187 needs to eat a dick.

by Anonymousreply 354January 6, 2020 2:45 AM

by Anonymousreply 362January 6, 2020 2:46 AM

There are four awards left.

Best actor/actress drama

Best picture drama

Best picture comedy/musical

by Anonymousreply 363January 6, 2020 2:46 AM

You should try actually watching the movie r345.

It's not pretentious, it's not even depressing.

by Anonymousreply 364January 6, 2020 2:46 AM

by Anonymousreply 365January 6, 2020 2:47 AM

R347, the difference is raw talent.

by Anonymousreply 366January 6, 2020 2:47 AM

Michelle Williams kicked ass. Hated her dress. Loved her speech. Are you listening right-wing whackos and Supreme Court? Don’t fucking turn back time!

by Anonymousreply 367January 6, 2020 2:47 AM

by Anonymousreply 368January 6, 2020 2:47 AM

by Anonymousreply 369January 6, 2020 2:47 AM

Farrell was considered a jackass by his costars on SNL because he always broke into laughs, like Fallon

by Anonymousreply 377January 6, 2020 2:50 AM

Time to get a nightcap for the last part of the show.

by Anonymousreply 378January 6, 2020 2:50 AM

Been meaning to ask, is Carol Burnett gay?

by Anonymousreply 379January 6, 2020 2:50 AM

Michelle Williams can suck my tiny dick, and my buddy Squee's, too.

by Anonymousreply 380January 6, 2020 2:50 AM

Oof, Quentin won for his POS. Will this encourage other directors to crawl up their own assholes and make self-indulgent garbage like Once Upon A Time In Hollywood? Heaven help us.

by Anonymousreply 381January 6, 2020 2:50 AM

Scar-Jo has a horrible back tattoo

by Anonymousreply 382January 6, 2020 2:50 AM

I thought Will was funny

by Anonymousreply 383January 6, 2020 2:50 AM

Why was Little Women so under represented at these awards? It's certainly on par or better than some of the other nominated films. Florence Pugh and Greta Gerwig both deserved nominations in their respective categories.

by Anonymousreply 384January 6, 2020 2:50 AM

R262 the word is pussy. You dumb asshole. In reference to Cats. Jesus fuck, you're stupid.

by Anonymousreply 385January 6, 2020 2:51 AM
Will this encourage other directors to crawl up their own assholes and make self-indulgent garbage

Honey, directors don't need to be encouraged to do this. That's their natural state.

by Anonymousreply 386January 6, 2020 2:51 AM

Carol Burnett is not gay but that's the joke

by Anonymousreply 387January 6, 2020 2:51 AM

Lauren Graham has completely fucked up her face.

by Anonymousreply 388January 6, 2020 2:51 AM

I can't wait til the truth about QT comes out and he's banished and his reputation is ruined. He's the most disgusting man in Hollywood.

by Anonymousreply 389January 6, 2020 2:52 AM

Is it over?

by Anonymousreply 390January 6, 2020 2:52 AM

There has always been talk about Carol and Julie.

by Anonymousreply 391January 6, 2020 2:52 AM

Why was Rita Wilson giving side eye until her husband was in stage?

by Anonymousreply 392January 6, 2020 2:52 AM

Have the 3 Networks one a single award?

by Anonymousreply 393January 6, 2020 2:52 AM

won .

by Anonymousreply 394January 6, 2020 2:52 AM

Okay, I'll bite.

What is the truth about QT?

by Anonymousreply 395January 6, 2020 2:53 AM

r388, her real face looked like that of a wild boar. How could it get worse?

by Anonymousreply 396January 6, 2020 2:53 AM

When a man (Will Ferrell) compliments a man (Pierce Brosnan) on his appearance, it's funny because the audience knows that Will isn't gay but gayness in itself is funny. It's funny to people when men are attracted to other men because that isn't natural--men are attracted to women! The strangeness of it all is so funny!

Do you see now why garbage anti-gay jokes like that are annoying to actual gay men?

by Anonymousreply 397January 6, 2020 2:53 AM

Quentin is like the Token Award Guy. Just give him an award, even if he doesn't deserve it, that's "thing"

PS Can someone in the biz please pop his pus-filled ego?

by Anonymousreply 398January 6, 2020 2:53 AM
Have the 3 Networks one a single award?

Were they even nominated for anything? They are barely nominated for much in recent awards shows.

by Anonymousreply 399January 6, 2020 2:53 AM

QT has a foot fetish. And wins awards he doesn't deserve.

by Anonymousreply 400January 6, 2020 2:54 AM

Glenn looks great! That is a beautiful dress.

by Anonymousreply 401January 6, 2020 2:54 AM

I hate that Taylor Swift gets that hot piece of ass Joe Alwyn.

She's wasting all of this for a beard:

by Anonymousreply 403January 6, 2020 2:54 AM

Living with HIV

by Anonymousreply 404January 6, 2020 2:54 AM

I wonder how Harvey Weinstein feels watching his Golden Child, Quentin Tarantino, win big movie awards while he stews in jail.

Now that is a movie that Quentin should make!

by Anonymousreply 405January 6, 2020 2:54 AM

R377, Since when did WF break? His whole style is called "deadpan."

by Anonymousreply 406January 6, 2020 2:55 AM

Should have been Adam driver

by Anonymousreply 407January 6, 2020 2:55 AM

Joaquin! I think Joker's a kinda bullshit film, but Joaquin's transcendent in it, and Hildur's score is tops! Literally the only great parts of the film won.

Also, this is justice for The Master. That's how I see it.

by Anonymousreply 408January 6, 2020 2:55 AM

WHET HEATHER GRAHAM

by Anonymousreply 409January 6, 2020 2:55 AM

Adam Driver should have won.

But THE JOKER is a massive hit.

by Anonymousreply 410January 6, 2020 2:55 AM

G and M in the same too

by Anonymousreply 411January 6, 2020 2:55 AM
QT has a foot fetish.

OMG!!

MARY!!

by Anonymousreply 412January 6, 2020 2:55 AM

Joaquin walked right by Reese without even glancing at her. Ouch!!!!

by Anonymousreply 413January 6, 2020 2:56 AM
Were they even nominated for anything? They are barely nominated for much in recent awards shows.

Just off the top of my head, I think it's a shame Freddie Highmore doesn't get recognized for the great work he does on "The Good Doctor."

by Anonymousreply 414January 6, 2020 2:56 AM

Wow, he's wasted.

De Niro is NOT impressed.

by Anonymousreply 415January 6, 2020 2:56 AM

You're an idiot, R397.

Fuck this Joker incel united movie.

Joaquin is so fucking drunk and high and mentally ill, probably.

by Anonymousreply 416January 6, 2020 2:56 AM

Is he on drugs?

by Anonymousreply 417January 6, 2020 2:56 AM

Joaquin is so freaking weird but he's a great actor.

by Anonymousreply 418January 6, 2020 2:56 AM

They linger on audience members too long, and it's especially awkward when they're blank-faced.

by Anonymousreply 419January 6, 2020 2:56 AM

What are they bleeping out of Joaquin?

by Anonymousreply 420January 6, 2020 2:56 AM

Joaquin is drunk.

by Anonymousreply 421January 6, 2020 2:56 AM

Who blew up Joaquin and gave him drugs?

And what is getting bleeped out?

by Anonymousreply 422January 6, 2020 2:56 AM

Who the fuck did Taron Egerton blow to get that award?

by Anonymousreply 423January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

Quentin spends millions of his investors' money on filming close ups of women's bare feet and everyone just rolls their eyes and applauds. They can't give him money and awards fast enough.

Imagine if a big-time director wanted to lovingly film men's feet. He'd be run out of town!

by Anonymousreply 424January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

This guy is a freak

by Anonymousreply 425January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

Joaquin’s been nominated for six GGs?

by Anonymousreply 426January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

Phoenix is speeching himself out of the Oscar.

by Anonymousreply 427January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

Phoenix acted circles around Driver. Please.

by Anonymousreply 428January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

What a pretentious fuck.

by Anonymousreply 429January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

Having a breakdown on TV is always fun.

by Anonymousreply 430January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

Todd Phillips is a fraud documentary maker.

by Anonymousreply 431January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

R397, The humor was in the inappropriate time and place, not "gay."

by Anonymousreply 432January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

Joaquin. Drunk?

by Anonymousreply 433January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

“Rooney...”

Projectile vomiting right now.

by Anonymousreply 434January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

Joaquin has a come a long way from that sullen teen smuggling porno tapes into his room in a paper bag in Parenthood.

by Anonymousreply 435January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

Joaquin is intense as a person and in his work but that is not the same as being good.

by Anonymousreply 436January 6, 2020 2:57 AM

Play the music louder......

by Anonymousreply 437January 6, 2020 2:58 AM

YES Joaquin!! THIS is what happens when you get rid of scum who rig award shows with dirty campaigning like Weinstein!! REAL talent shines through

by Anonymousreply 438January 6, 2020 2:58 AM

I think Joaquin just lost the Oscar :(

by Anonymousreply 439January 6, 2020 2:58 AM

Dude, cut out the drugs already

by Anonymousreply 440January 6, 2020 2:58 AM

Is Joaquin Gay?

by Anonymousreply 441January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

Hahaha, I think he just won. Let's see how this pans out. I personally thought the speech was perfect.

by Anonymousreply 442January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

I’m happy Joaquin won. Great actor, great performance.

by Anonymousreply 443January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

Ugh... is Todd Phillips somewhat fuckable?

by Anonymousreply 444January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

Guys, if your beard is gray like the beard on Joaquin Phoenix, you need to keep it clean and trimmed or else you'll look like Joaquin--a homeless man

by Anonymousreply 445January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

Looks like he may have doused his Oscar chances with that chemically-charged speech.

by Anonymousreply 446January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

Is JP swearing a lot or is the stream glitchy?

by Anonymousreply 447January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

I hope so 439

by Anonymousreply 448January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

Meh. Antonio Banderas should have won.

by Anonymousreply 449January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

What R432 said

It's that Farrell is not a leading man type, he's a comedian and he's being inappropriately Stannish, not gay

by Anonymousreply 450January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

Jesus fucking christ, say thank you & sit the fuck down Joaquin.

by Anonymousreply 451January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

Am starting the show now. Why are they giving Elton John a standing ovation? Because he made a few adult contempoary hits in he 70s that are nearly forgotten today?

by Anonymousreply 452January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

The Oscar voters watching Joaquin's speech is the best thing that could have happened to me.

by Anonymousreply 453January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

Coming up Renee in Judy!!!

by Anonymousreply 454January 6, 2020 2:59 AM

Is he NAMING NAMES?!?!?!!?!?!!!-

by Anonymousreply 455January 6, 2020 3:00 AM

They played him off. At least he took the cue!

by Anonymousreply 456January 6, 2020 3:00 AM

R447 - I think he was dropping f-bombs.

by Anonymousreply 457January 6, 2020 3:00 AM

You're brother River wouldn't have made an acceptance speech like that.

by Anonymousreply 458January 6, 2020 3:01 AM

He is an extreme introvert so maybe he is extremely anxious and weird. But also he looked like he was drunk and high on coke.

by Anonymousreply 459January 6, 2020 3:01 AM

Well Joaquin is batshit crazy but what he said about people flying around in private jets while wringing their hands about Australia and global warming was right on.

So what all was that that was bleeped?

by Anonymousreply 460January 6, 2020 3:01 AM

Hello: I’m a tortured luvvie. I will agonise about everything, including making a short speech, because that’s what I think great acting takes ever since I saw Brando mumbling.

by Anonymousreply 461January 6, 2020 3:01 AM

Why are there right wing propagandists posting here? Do you honestly think you're going to change anyone's mind? Is the purpose just to disrupt? Go choke on a potato, comrades.

by Anonymousreply 462January 6, 2020 3:01 AM

So is Ricky still on this show?

by Anonymousreply 463January 6, 2020 3:01 AM

If Renee wins I'm screaming like those dudes when Diana died.

by Anonymousreply 464January 6, 2020 3:01 AM
Phoenix is speeching himself out of the Oscar.

You think? I don't think the voting body of the Academy skews as old as it once did, so perhaps this won't hurt him.

by Anonymousreply 465January 6, 2020 3:01 AM

Palm Springs???

by Anonymousreply 466January 6, 2020 3:01 AM

MARRIAGE STORY is an excellent, heartbreaking drama with phenomenal performances.

You know r345 is a major douchebag when he's against "instrospection."

by Anonymousreply 467January 6, 2020 3:02 AM

Hopefully Adam Driver’s diva behavior and Joaquin’s profanity will torpedo their Oscar chances and lead to a victory for Antonio Banderas.

by Anonymousreply 468January 6, 2020 3:02 AM

"I hate that Taylor Swift gets that hot piece of ass Joe Alwyn."

Fauxmance. They're probably both gay.

by Anonymousreply 469January 6, 2020 3:02 AM

Coming up Lisa Vanderpumps restaurant rammed by a Ferrari.

by Anonymousreply 470January 6, 2020 3:02 AM

The "deranged comic book villain" is always a hit. Just ask Terrence Stamp, and Jack Nicholson, and Heath Ledger, and all the rest.

Hollywood will never stop making these movies. It'll be the same story over and over and over again and they will all make a billion dollars. Sad.

by Anonymousreply 471January 6, 2020 3:02 AM

Rami still looks pissed off.

by Anonymousreply 472January 6, 2020 3:02 AM

Those repulsive eyebags.

by Anonymousreply 473January 6, 2020 3:03 AM

Reneeeeeee!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 474January 6, 2020 3:03 AM

Ha ha they ran out of time for Ricky to tell more of his "hilarious" jokes

by Anonymousreply 475January 6, 2020 3:03 AM

Renee!

by Anonymousreply 477January 6, 2020 3:03 AM

YASSS!!!!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 478January 6, 2020 3:03 AM

I agreed with what Phoenix said but he was so high and inarticulate that the message didn't come across well.

by Anonymousreply 479January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

Renee did give an amazing performance. It was difficult to watch.

by Anonymousreply 480January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

Joaquin should go back to his original name...Leaf. It would be environmentally appropriate.

by Anonymousreply 481January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

I love Rami so much

by Anonymousreply 482January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

Renee looks fucked up

by Anonymousreply 483January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

Zellweger has a face like a prune.

by Anonymousreply 484January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

How happy are our DLEGs?

Judy Fucking Garland!!!!

by Anonymousreply 485January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

Fun fact: Renee Zellweger danced with my brother at a wedding

by Anonymousreply 486January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

Who sang as judy in that film? Jesus what a diservice.

by Anonymousreply 487January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

Zellweger's accepting an award? What is it 2003?

by Anonymousreply 488January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

#goldenglobewinnerssomentallyill

by Anonymousreply 490January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

Renee is talking funny

by Anonymousreply 491January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

JUDY!

by Anonymousreply 492January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

Wow, quite a comeback for Renee

Her "Judy" was really award-worthy. Good for her. Oscars, here she comes!

by Anonymousreply 493January 6, 2020 3:04 AM

WTF is she drunk? Awkward.

by Anonymousreply 494January 6, 2020 3:05 AM

Holy crap she’s wasted! Is she still playing Judy?

by Anonymousreply 495January 6, 2020 3:05 AM

Enough with the drugged out drunk stars!

by Anonymousreply 496January 6, 2020 3:05 AM

It does seem like she might be a wee bit drunk.

by Anonymousreply 497January 6, 2020 3:05 AM

She seems even more mentally ill than Joaquin.

by Anonymousreply 498January 6, 2020 3:06 AM

Did Renee Zellweger just thank Kerry Katona from Atomic Kitten?

by Anonymousreply 499January 6, 2020 3:06 AM

Driver will be broken. Bridesmaid last year and this year too. Most of the voters will not even remember JP’s speech , they will give it to him because it is his time. I wish all the actors would boycott these awards. They are a complete joke.

by Anonymousreply 500January 6, 2020 3:06 AM

She's still in character!

by Anonymousreply 501January 6, 2020 3:06 AM

Renee is WASTED.

She's so wasted she went to grab the guy's hand who was there to help her up the stairs and she missed.

by Anonymousreply 502January 6, 2020 3:06 AM

Renee seems...troubled. Is she troubled? Or she just an over-the-top actress?

by Anonymousreply 503January 6, 2020 3:06 AM

Did she have a stroke?

by Anonymousreply 504January 6, 2020 3:06 AM

Ronan deserves this award, to be honest. Her work in Little Women was top notch.

by Anonymousreply 505January 6, 2020 3:06 AM

by Anonymousreply 508January 6, 2020 3:07 AM

A lot of concerned faces in the audience for Renee.

by Anonymousreply 509January 6, 2020 3:07 AM

They should hand out the actor awards at the beginning - before everyone is drunk.

by Anonymousreply 510January 6, 2020 3:07 AM

Renee was high on the red carped and with Ryan. What the fuck is she on? I'm going with SMACK. Horse!

by Anonymousreply 511January 6, 2020 3:07 AM

Man, the two front runners I wouldn't trust to watch my dog.

by Anonymousreply 512January 6, 2020 3:07 AM

R503 why are people surprised at Renee lol have they been living under a cave?

by Anonymousreply 513January 6, 2020 3:07 AM

Renee just lost the Oscar tonight.

by Anonymousreply 514January 6, 2020 3:07 AM

"Kill me"

if only....

by Anonymousreply 515January 6, 2020 3:07 AM

They had to play her off too! Sheesh!

by Anonymousreply 516January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

Sam Mendes LOL What a hack

by Anonymousreply 517January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

Wrong R489. Do you need a tampon too?

by Anonymousreply 518January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

A lot of MOVIE STARS tonight!!! Sandy <3

by Anonymousreply 519January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

Wtf is with Sandy's hair - did Joaquin do it backstage?

by Anonymousreply 520January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

And one really ugly dress is brought on for the final award!!

by Anonymousreply 521January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

#FREERICKY

by Anonymousreply 522January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

Another winner clearly on something.

by Anonymousreply 523January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

Another winner clearly on something.

by Anonymousreply 524January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

Renee is fine--she has very little competition this year.

I think it's Joaquin who should be regretting being so wasted tonight.

by Anonymousreply 525January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

Of course. Fuckin' foreigners.

by Anonymousreply 526January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

What did Renee say?

by Anonymousreply 527January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

Wow, 1917 winning big tonight. SO GLAD something besides the hoax IRISHMAN is getting momentum.

by Anonymousreply 528January 6, 2020 3:08 AM

Sam Mendes is one year YOUNGER than Brad Pitt

by Anonymousreply 529January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

I saw 1917 yesterday in Manhattan, and it is fine, but not that good.

by Anonymousreply 530January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

I wonder if all the Brits are happy they don't have to deal with Hollywood exclusively for work.

by Anonymousreply 531January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

It’d be nice to see the end of mimicry and impersonations being given Oscars over original characters. Won’t happen anytime soon sadly.

by Anonymousreply 532January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

YES!!!!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 533January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

What a dreary lot for best motion picture drama. Ugh.

by Anonymousreply 534January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

I thought Renee pulled it together in the end but the first part of her speech was a mess.

by Anonymousreply 535January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

I don't know guys... is 1917 the movie we want to win Best Picture after such a great year?

by Anonymousreply 536January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

I love Ricky No Fucks Given Gervais.

by Anonymousreply 537January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

Kate Winslet must be so pissed right now

by Anonymousreply 538January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

That's just the way Renee is. I don't think she was high. Now Joaquin, yes.

by Anonymousreply 539January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

LOL, r520!

by Anonymousreply 540January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

LOL, r520!

Pierce Brosnan's long-haired son looks like Slender Man up there

by Anonymousreply 542January 6, 2020 3:09 AM

I suspect one big factor in 1917’s win is voting against Netflix, which had 3 of the 5 nominees.

by Anonymousreply 543January 6, 2020 3:10 AM

Zzzzz

by Anonymousreply 544January 6, 2020 3:10 AM

by Anonymousreply 546January 6, 2020 3:11 AM
I wonder if all the Brits are happy they don't have to deal with Hollywood exclusively for work.

The Brits are likely even more competitive about roles. The BBC doesn’t pay well at all.

by Anonymousreply 547January 6, 2020 3:11 AM

Right on, Renee!!

by Anonymousreply 548January 6, 2020 3:11 AM

Wow. Ricky Gervais really went for it in the final 5 minutes. Telling audience to Fuck Off TWICE!!!!

by Anonymousreply 549January 6, 2020 3:11 AM

Finally I think Ricky was rude. Nobody really needs that at such a shindig.

by Anonymousreply 550January 6, 2020 3:11 AM

Pierce’s son was having a tsuris getting everyone to stand in the correct side of the stage.

by Anonymousreply 551January 6, 2020 3:12 AM

Ricky Gervais is an arsehole.

by Anonymousreply 552January 6, 2020 3:12 AM
He totally just ignored Elton John's waiting arms.

Yeah, that was awkward. Elton seemed happy though.

by Anonymousreply 553January 6, 2020 3:12 AM

I agree, r536. I'm sure 1917 is a good film, but I'd really love a non-war film to win the best picture this year.

by Anonymousreply 554January 6, 2020 3:12 AM

Ehh, I like how everyone let it all out there tonight. People were pretty sloppy if you think about it, though some came to play like Michelle Williams. I had a good time. We'll regret 1917 if the Academy follows the Globes.

by Anonymousreply 555January 6, 2020 3:12 AM

Maybe Elton bought that for him and Taron is expected to pay it back. GG can be bought, you know.

by Anonymousreply 556January 6, 2020 3:13 AM

Renee squints because of the irreparable damage caused by years of taking Weinstein's copious loads in her eyes when blowing him.

by Anonymousreply 557January 6, 2020 3:13 AM

Important to remember it is a non-American group of voters r543. I can see a world war 1 movie like 1917 appealing to them more than Irishman or Once Upon of Time which are very American films.

by Anonymousreply 558January 6, 2020 3:13 AM

Never seen Gervais before, eh R550?

by Anonymousreply 559January 6, 2020 3:13 AM

George is cute, and great in the movie, but Dean-Charles Chapman is more my type of adorable twink.

I felt like Ricky over did it. He's better if he keeps it good natured rather than calling them pedophile enablers and cokeheads.

by Anonymousreply 561January 6, 2020 3:14 AM

I'm just happy about Renee. Well-deserved. Charlize also did a good job with Megyn Kelly, but Renee made me misty.

by Anonymousreply 562January 6, 2020 3:14 AM

So The Irishman was snubbed?

by Anonymousreply 563January 6, 2020 3:14 AM

This Zoie's Playlist show seems to be a rehash of Eli Stone.

by Anonymousreply 564January 6, 2020 3:14 AM

I think many war movies are anti-war. I suspect 1917 is that.

by Anonymousreply 565January 6, 2020 3:15 AM

That was fun. Back to enjoying the total meltdown in the bisexual phenomena thread.

by Anonymousreply 566January 6, 2020 3:15 AM

Ricky changed his demeanor from the opening. First he was just all dry wit and "roasting" the audience, but by the second half and certainly at the end Ricky wasn't kidding in his "Who cares?" attitude. He wasn't smiling.

TPTB must have spoken to him.

by Anonymousreply 567January 6, 2020 3:15 AM
The Brits are likely even more competitive about roles. The BBC doesn’t pay well at all.

Even so the culture is not like it is in Hollywood. They don't have to deal with the same bullshit and ego. You can tell because for the most part the Brits have a bit of class and humility.

by Anonymousreply 568January 6, 2020 3:15 AM

joaquin phoenix beating leonardo dicaprio and making a speech about the environment AND THEN dragging leo about taking private jets......

Happy for Renee. She seems to have her Katy, Texas twang back. The other nominees in her category looked pissed though.

by Anonymousreply 570January 6, 2020 3:16 AM

1917’s win is the best possible outcome for OUATIH, stubbing out any momentum for what was once considered the Best Picture frontrunner, The Irishman

by Anonymousreply 571January 6, 2020 3:16 AM

Next Sunday is the Critics Choice Awards

by Anonymousreply 572January 6, 2020 3:17 AM

Renee was wise to thank her agents. They brought her back from the dead in the industry.

by Anonymousreply 573January 6, 2020 3:18 AM

I think Joaquin was just anxious and may have had too many Xanax to counteract it. If he did not do a good job as an actor, people would quit hiring him.

Renee was commenting on the contribution Judy Garland made in her speech. She also said thing about doing the work that I suspect the Hollywood foreign press liked. She seemed a bit anxious as well. I doubt she was drunk, she's very self-disciplined.

by Anonymousreply 574January 6, 2020 3:19 AM

What exactly happened to Renee? She seemed to disappear over night after being the darling of the early aughts.

by Anonymousreply 575January 6, 2020 3:19 AM
joaquin phoenix beating leonardo dicaprio

They weren't competing. Taron beat Leo.

by Anonymousreply 576January 6, 2020 3:20 AM

Bombshell was so much less than it could have been, but Charlize only enhances her superstar status with or without a globe.. She carried the whole thing.

by Anonymousreply 577January 6, 2020 3:20 AM

Doesn't OUATIH have a leg up because it's a love letter to Hollywood? Those moviesalways win: THE ARTIST, LA LA LAND, etc.

by Anonymousreply 578January 6, 2020 3:21 AM

If you get to see her speech again look at her eyes r574. You can see she's high, at least that what I saw.

by Anonymousreply 579January 6, 2020 3:21 AM

If Ricky doesn't host this show, what else is he going to do? Will he quit showbiz? Because American audiences rejected his most recent show, movie, and stand up. Maybe he can host a "naughty" podcast.

Designing Women is on on KTLA.

G' night bitches.

by Anonymousreply 582January 6, 2020 3:23 AM

He's executive producer of both versions of The Office so he probably has his fuck you money.

by Anonymousreply 583January 6, 2020 3:24 AM

One of the best award shows in years. Everybody wasted and damaged. The host telling everyone to go fuck themselves. "The Trolley Song" last song of the night.

by Anonymousreply 584January 6, 2020 3:24 AM

R575 she had many flops after her Oscar win and Chicago.

by Anonymousreply 585January 6, 2020 3:25 AM

Any insiders that can speak to how he is viewed in the industry? I enjoyed his performance and was happy he won, but was surprised by the standing ovation. Even Al "permanent bitch face" Pacino stood. Well liked, feared, moneymaker? What's the scoop?

by Anonymousreply 586January 6, 2020 3:26 AM

by Anonymousreply 587January 6, 2020 3:26 AM

I’m sorry, but Margot was amazing in Bombshell

by Anonymousreply 588January 6, 2020 3:26 AM
Those moviesalways win: THE ARTIST, LA LA LAND, etc.

Now Faye, for the last time it was "Moonlight" that won, not "La La Land"

by Anonymousreply 589January 6, 2020 3:27 AM

Renee's filmography post her Oscar win for BSA in Cold Mountain was kind of thin. I wonder if she sort of got Hathaway'd, where actually winning the Oscar kind of killed her career rather than fueling it?

by Anonymousreply 590January 6, 2020 3:29 AM

Ha ha, Disney is getting revenge on Scorsese for trashing their shitting Marvel movies. They've used their considerable muscle to ice him out of awards for The Irishman. Ouch!

by Anonymousreply 591January 6, 2020 3:30 AM

Thanks, Cletus.

by Anonymousreply 592January 6, 2020 3:34 AM

Doesn’t the success of those superhero movies sort of give him the opportunity and, and more importantly, the budgets to make his “artistic, high falutin’, respectable” films??

He should be thanking them.

by Anonymousreply 593January 6, 2020 3:37 AM

R593 No, his name and reputation affords him those things

by Anonymousreply 594January 6, 2020 3:43 AM

IIRC, the Golden Globes used to be the show full of fun drunks, not sad drunks.

Tonight was a pathetic parade of wasted depressives and crazies.

by Anonymousreply 595January 6, 2020 3:47 AM
Next Sunday is the Critics Choice Awards

With your hosts, Bob Hope and Lucille Ball.

by Anonymousreply 596January 6, 2020 3:58 AM

R595, you’re fucking nuts.

by Anonymousreply 597January 6, 2020 3:59 AM

So... does having a hit show on a traditional TV network matter at all these days?

by Anonymousreply 598January 6, 2020 4:03 AM

Nope, R598. That’s why the ratings for these things continue to go down the shitter.

I have not seen the Emmy telecast in years. Don’t know most of the shows nominated and the actors are complete strangers to me. I already pay for cable, I am not paying for 10 different streaming services.

I had no idea who most of these actors that are on unknown show and streaming services are.

by Anonymousreply 599January 6, 2020 4:11 AM

I mean, if they held a proper BATTLE OF THE NETWORK STARS now, no one would show up!

I call that a disgrace.
