As poster on previous thread mentioned, I too am looking forward to the 3 June state banquet. It's usual to honour the guest nation by wearing its colours, so I expect to see Kate in either red or white. Red, white, and blue might be difficult unless HM lends her some fabulous sapphire jewellery to go with a red or white gown. This would also be the first time Kate could wear the DGCOVO sash along with the family order pinned to her shoulder (she was just privately invested with it by the Queen a couple of weeks ago). She's worn the Lotus and the Lover's Knot tiaras, hasn't she?
I would love the Queen to loan Kate her fabulous antique necklace of sapphires with matching drop earrings so Meghan can really eat her greedy little heart out.
The emeralds I'm afraid just wouldn't work with the red, white, and blue theme . . .
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 27, 2019 1:58 PM |
That would be quite a commute R9 - oh well maybe next time.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 27, 2019 1:59 PM |
I hope Kate is DRAPED in Royal jewels when she meets our First Whore who will also be draped in cheap American jewels with zero provenance.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 27, 2019 2:06 PM |
R13 - They may not have provenance but I doubt they'll be cheap . . . LOL
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 27, 2019 2:09 PM |
R14, poor fat Don the Con ain’t the big billionaire he claims to be. I’d be surprised if any of her jewels are real or expensive. And it’s not like the White House has a collection to loan the grifter whore.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 27, 2019 2:13 PM |
The provenance of the British jewels were bought with the blood of others. They're not better than Melania's. They're just older.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 27, 2019 2:14 PM |
I hope Kate can get her hands on the Oriental Circlet. It's such a gorgeous piece. A favorite of the Queen Mum's but not a favorite of the Queen's: She only wore it once, 15 years ago. Surely it's up for grabs.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 27, 2019 2:52 PM |
R18 - Victoria, the Queen Mum and the Queen have worn the Oriental Circlet Tiara. I thought it would be Camilla's to wear.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 27, 2019 3:07 PM |
The US doesn’t have priceless jewels like these but that doesn’t stop them from harping on about theirs being “expensive”.

I suppose that would be true, R19, but it doesn't really look like Camilla's style. That's why I thought Kate, as a future Queen, might be able to snag it at this point.

R24 for the win!
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 27, 2019 4:58 PM |
R16 - Your're naive (and taking this way too seriously). Provenance in this sort of jewelry, as with art, jacks the prices up much, much higher, whether you like it or not. So, yes - it is better.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 27, 2019 4:59 PM |
It seems all the conflicting stories of the Cambridges and Charles/Camilla meeting Archie worked, the story lost steam and the news has moved on. Wonder if any of them have actually been by or even been invited. I suggest they go as a group to cut down on the amount of time each of them has to interact with the Duchess of Modernizing the Monarchy.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 27, 2019 5:00 PM |
For all the public shows of unity on the Buckingham Palace balcony, I've heard repeatedly that the individual family members are just not that close. They're more like co-workers than relatives, which means they might not care that much about meeting Archie, period. Just like I could care less about meeting my co-worker's new baby (despite all the grifting baby shower invitations, ASHLEY).
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 27, 2019 5:02 PM |
Some things are priceless because they were stolen.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 27, 2019 5:04 PM |
One has to understand that with MM out of sight, the DM is desperate for stories to keep the pot boiling - hence that terribly outlandish story about a couple of new parents with loads of money being delighted with their first baby.
We didn't get these endless bulletins from friends of the Cambridges after George was born.
R32 - Oh, give it a rest, will you? And try some history and geography: the Kohinoor was mined in India, Darfur is part of the which is in Africa. And after it was found, a great deal of fighting over it occurred among local populations. It changed hands in power shifts among factions in south and west Asia, until it was finally ceded to Great Britain after it annexed the Punjab.
Where great jewels are concerned, quite a lot of murder has occurred amongst every stripe of chieftains, rulers, collectors, etc. And surprisingly - they all weren't white British males with side-whiskers.

by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 27, 2019 5:12 PM |
R29-or far worse, depending on exactly what the provenance is. Having a provenance does not automatically make it better.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 27, 2019 5:13 PM |
Not interested in fighting over the provenance of the jewels - I just want to see pictures of them.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 27, 2019 5:19 PM |
R63 continues the BRF thread tradition of assuming that posters who disagree with his position are uninformed or naive. You're also free to ignore my posts if you don't like what I have to say.
I understand provenance lovie, I disagree with the assertion that the provenance of the BRF's jewels makes them inherently better than anything Melania Trump could own. I don't even like Melania, but not all provenance is good.
And the Darfur Orphan line was light-hearted (as that kind of post on DL has always been). Perhaps you're taking this thread too seriously.

by Anonymous | reply 40 | May 27, 2019 5:32 PM |
Frankly, since Melania clearly didn't sign up to be the wife of POTUS and probably hates every minute of it, I'm willing to leave her and her son out of my feelings about her husband.
When she met the Queen the last time, she was dressed in a beautiful suit as I recall, behaved appropriately and committed no faux pas. I expect the same from her on this upcoming visit.
Which is so much more than we have seen of the other still current American citizen who has been featured so prominently in these threads as she fame whores her way with a laser like attraction to any camera within reach.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 27, 2019 5:35 PM |
Glad to see the Welp Troll has gone.
The Tiara Fraus on this thread are VERY impressed by sparkling jewels. Whenever debate gets interesting, one of them tries to defuse it by posting endless tedious photos of old fug women in tiaras.

'...as she fame whores her way with a laser like attraction to any camera within reach.'

One of the newer tiaras of the Queen's - the Burmese Ruby Tiara . It's a very symbolic and personal piece created specifically for Queen Elizabeth II by the House of Garrard in 1973. The tiara was made using jewels already in the Queen’s royal collection, including 96 rubies presented by the people of Burma for her wedding symbolizing protection against illness and evil.

I feel rather sorry for Melania. I wouldn't mind seeing her in a tiara - she's a beautiful woman. Americans don't really do tiaras though, so it wouldn't be appropriate. Furthermore, I don't think I've ever seen her without her hair being down, and an updo would be more attractive for a tiara.
I hope Kate wears something sparkling that we haven't seen her in before. And Camilla's hair game is always, always on point.

Lots of fretting about how the big bad institution of the BRF won't let her be her own person, and what have you. "Yes, I wear black nail polish and no pantyhose, what of it? This is who I am!" This seems to be the narrative now.

by Anonymous | reply 149 | May 28, 2019 2:53 PM |
R123 William looked hot there, he was always the more attractive brother. I don’t think making fun of his hair loss is bullying in this context. William is a public figure (by birth and status) and as far as we know his hair loss isn’t tied in with mental well-being, as in he doesn’t have body dysmorphia, anxiety, or depression attributed to it. Now if he was your work colleague especially whom you know to experience mental distress due to hair loss or he’s told you to stop, then yeah it’s bullying.
Public figures get roasted all the time for the way they look. Rob Lowe should know better as he was roasted mercilessly for sex tape with a minor when he was in his 20s. He also seems like the stereotypically shallow aging celeb steadfastly holding onto relevance for fear of not being cast for roles. Without makeup, hair dye, and studio lighting he looks way older than his age, that’s a fact.

Bea's worked hard to keep weight off, but that dress is just unfortunate and not appropriate for a wedding.

R140, I liked the dress Bea wore to the wedding and thought it suited her. I just didn't think it was really daytime wedding attire. It would've been great for an event where more revealing attire was fine.

EXTRAORDINARY article in Express which states that she allows NO ONE near the new baby. Doria only allowed to hold for few seconds. Everything done for the mite by she alone. Building up for something, methinks, as this would suggest that there is something to hide if not even the grandmother gets to hold the baby for more than seconds (while she in shower!). Either, preparing to reveal that is a doll or mental problem related to postnatal. What think you?

Expanding on the assertion put forth by R165 - Back when Archie was born, Charles was presented with a pair of Lederhosen by some official while he and Camilla were in Germany. It's not very clear, but you can hear him say to the man "It's extraordinarily kind of you, but I'm afraid they'll never get near THAT baby....." and then they both chuckle.
by Anonymous | reply 170 | May 28, 2019 4:24 PM |
There's a real, live, breathing baby that Meghan gave birth to and Harry fathered. If she's not letting anyone near Archie, it's because she's an overly protective first-time mother of advanced age with a documented history of controlling behavior.

I'm hoping for a side story love triangle this summer in this soap opera. Edo has now reconnected with Dara, his ex, on instagram. Should poor Be a be concerned, or does she understand that Edo is tied to Dara for life because she's the mother of his son? I wonder how Bea justifies all of this. Dara is from a good family (her father a retired NASA scientist), she's also well-educated and accomplished professionally, not to mention not slacker in the looks department. Dara also seems to be the type who cares more about their son than airing her grievances publicly; Edo did her dirty by dumping her unexpectedly before taking up with Bea. If I were her, I'd keep son Christopher "Wolfie" away from the shady as fuck Yorks. It's bad enough having social climber, grifter Edo for a father, the kid shouldn't be saddled with having to deal with a questionable step-family in the Yorks aside from Eugenie maybe.

R195, if I may, I’d like to chime in on behalf of the large number of single-by-choice women I know in NYC. It’s not the same thing as being divorced, but. These are successful, financially independent women with careers who didn’t find a husband but wanted to be parents. There are obvious drawbacks, but there are benefits. Chiefly, they call all the shots. There’s no disappointing and uneven sharing of the child care and labor. There are no lowered expectations.
I’m sure that Bea can’t have the luxury of making that choice, but it’s too bad. It certainly beats the custody battle or even just the logistics of custody sharing even among the most amicable of co-parents.

R175-An interesting tidbit on Elizabeth I and the use as a pelican as one of her symbols. The belief was that pelicans were very maternal, particularly given the way the mothers open their beaks to feed their young. Elizabeth adopted the pelican as an emblem to symbolize her "feeding" and being a maternal figure to her subjects. Very sly, that Virgin Queen.

It also might not be a big deal that he's getting friendly with his ex on Instagram and perhaps shows he's interested in being involved in his child's life. [quote]I think Bea would rather be divorced with kids than stuck taking care of her mother forever.
Getting married and having children doesn't absolve women of their birth-ordained responsibility of taking care of aging parents. If a family does not have any girls, it will fall upon the daughters-in-law to do it. It's a role society expects of them and if they don't step up to the plate they are viewed as selfish and irresponsible. when, in fact, it's straight men who are. So on top of kids, the aging parents. Though, in Eugenie and Bea's case "taking care of her mother forever" will consist of calling royal handlers to corral her when she's out of control and interviewing live-in nurses (who Andrew will pay for) when Fergie is far into her dotage, as opposed to becoming the nursemaids themselves.

And babies can sleep through anything if they’re used to it. The biggest mistake new parents make is tiptoeing around their newborns. My firstborn nephew had to be in a completely dark room with a white noise machine set to “crickets” at level 7. He’s 8 and still relies on the crickets and complete darkness. His brother, the third child, falls asleep anywhere because his parents realized how stupid that was.

It's not just Asian societies that impose life-long shackling of daughters to their parents, R223. It's a very American middle class phenomenon and it's becoming worse as baby boomers age and nursing home care is prohibitively expensive and is not covered by Medicare (health insurance for those 65 and older). Throw in the fact that rates of dementia-related disorders is increasing. At least the UK has NHS.

Bea is an idiot for getting with Edo. She’s batting out of her league, looks-wise. She’s not attractive and needs to accept that fact. She needs to follow the example of Will and Harry’s McCorqudale cousins and marry a regular, homely bloke that would worship the ground she walks on. She needs to pick a guy with flaws so that he’ll accept her flaws in return.

R231 - That would be logical. Bea isn't operatring on logic or she'd hever have looked at Edo. She's projecting onto him what she wants for herself. If she can't have it herself, she'll have it in a partner and that partner will reflect her the way she wants to be seen to the outside world. And she isn't an eyesore - she simply hasn't a clue how to dress hersefl. Take off a stone and star working with a personal trainer, layer the hair, stop wearing idiotic clothes, and she would be more than presentable. She has pretty skin and nice hair and decent legs (from the knee down). Women have done better with far less.
by Anonymous | reply 233 | May 28, 2019 9:46 PM |
R228 - That's because Frogmore House just opened to the public, so tourists are queuing up to see the main house, and the Cottage is a stone's throw away from the main house.
It's amusing to picture Meghan steaming after all those assurances that they "chose" Frogmore Cottage so they could ditch the "goldfish bowl" of a 21 room "apartment" in a historick palace in central London.

Not all female redheads are hot, I mean look no further at Bea's mom Fergie. Ginges tend to age more rapidly with more wrinkles and sagging due to nature of their skin.
Bea does need to back off here a bit, I wonder if Edo has introduced her to his son Wolfie? Most likely he's done that IF they're serious, and we just haven't read about it. She's inheriting all of Edo's relationship baggages and no I'm not talking about the child but the way he mistreated Dara. Big fucking, glaring red flag that she chooses to ignore. Meanwhile her friends who have spoken to the media on her behalf kept insisting that 'oh no, Bea would never break up a couple with a child'. FFS what does that even mean? Nothing, except she's choosing to be with a cad who dumped the mother of his child without any warning, at least according to HIS friends who'd spoken to media. I think I read something to that effect with the friend saying pretty much that it was what it looked like.

R238, indeed. And I went a little hard on Dara. I don’t know her. And whatever the case, dumping her suddenly and without a face-to-face discussion (and moving to the next piece immediately!) is very bad behavior.
I’d love to know the real story there.

Is the very fantastical Will and Kate thread dead? I just started reading it (and it was weirdly entertaining), but it seems to have been greyed out like many of the BRF threads have been.
by Anonymous | reply 255 | May 29, 2019 12:06 AM |
R255, short version: Will's a stud, Kate's a model getting accolades from HRH. The rumor-mongering from the Harkles is why they have to move to Africa. Meg's still fat, Harry's looking worse for wear.
Not enough pictures of Charlotte.
by Anonymous | reply 256 | May 29, 2019 12:15 AM |
R254 I'd love to know what sort of excuses that Edo gave or is still giving Bea for his caddish behavior towards Dara. She's the mother of his child, not just a live-in girlfriend, so she deserves more than to be blindsided like that. And to rub salt into the wound he starts being seen in public with Bea almost simultaneously, making it obvious that he'd been cheating on her for quite a while prior to blindsiding her. Whatever image Dara likes to project on IG, she's a well-educated, successful professional woman with her own business and she supports herself quite well without Edo. She's certainly not like Meghan who uses IG for the purpose of famewhoring and trolling for rich and famous men. I just think Bea should really think hard and twice before marrying Edo, but for our soap opera I think he's a great cast addition.
by Anonymous | reply 257 | May 29, 2019 1:20 AM |
I keep hoping Bea will dump him and leave him high and dry. That would be sweet.
by Anonymous | reply 258 | May 29, 2019 1:22 AM |
I'm beginning to think that Bea has some serious self-esteem issues, what with her last relationship and now with this Edo cad. It's like Christina Onassis all over again.

How old are you granny R259? The girl is dickmatized, and there's nothing wrong with that. Take your outdated soap opera mentality to the other clucking hens at your knitting group.

by Anonymous | reply 262 | May 29, 2019 1:40 AM |
Now, now. Maybe Dara is a wicked witch who tried to trap our dear, guileless Edo!
In other news, I'm watching my DVR'd Harry and Meghan Lifetime movie. Christmas at Sandringham scene. It's pretty well cast overall, though they've got a real chubby lady playing the queen. The actress playing Meg is quite convincing. It is rather ripped from the headlines, all the little tabloid stories are being acted out. Now Meghan is lamenting the characterization of her Christmas church hat as a "poo emoji."
by Anonymous | reply 263 | May 29, 2019 1:49 AM |

Does he have an accent?
by Anonymous | reply 265 | May 29, 2019 2:03 AM |
How dumb are you R261? Try to be well-versed in trashy gossip fodder, yes even historically old ones dating back to the 1980s when Diana was still around, they' were mainstays in tabloids back then. Or is Diana too ancient for you too? For your information CO was dickmatized too on top of shitty self-esteem. Not all of us are sweater-knitting olds either, we just know our Eurotrash gossip canons from our moms and their friends. Maybe you should try brushing up on them too just so you don't sound like a novice to the gossip game.
Edo is good looking and well-groomed, But in some photos his eyes are almost as unnervingly wide and buggy as Bea's when he's posing for the camera, he looks almost dorky.
by Anonymous | reply 266 | May 29, 2019 2:11 AM |
R202 Are you daft? How many times do you have to be told that Melania was no fashion model. She was never paid to wear "complicated" clothes. She was paid a small amount of money to strip down and film soft porn. She was an escort who married a customer, who then bought her larger, better boobs.
by Anonymous | reply 268 | May 29, 2019 2:24 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 270 | May 29, 2019 2:27 AM |
Edo is not that attractive. He is short with slim shoulders, very dainty build and carries himself in a very effeminite way. Crossing his legs like a woman (i first noticed it in the cab with bea). Although thin, he has a skinny fat thing going on and even has a double chin. Very doughy soft facial features.
He looks very north italian....I'll say no more.
Prince william and lord frederick windsor shit all over him in their youth without trying. The latter was even a model for a short period of time.

by Anonymous | reply 272 | May 29, 2019 2:36 AM |
Edo is more pretty than hot IMO. He seems like the type who's very high maintenance and not the sort who'll fuck your brains out, at least not without getting all sweaty or checking his hair in the mirror. Dainty is the right word.

by Anonymous | reply 276 | May 29, 2019 2:42 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 277 | May 29, 2019 2:45 AM |
Andrea has masculine energy and is actually sexy in a brooding way. Also looks much better than edo both facially and bodywise, andrea is also tall.
by Anonymous | reply 278 | May 29, 2019 2:46 AM |
Oh no R276, don't mention Casiraghi, now you're going to have R261 on your case for referencing old people gossip. But I agree, they both have that doughy face thing going on. Although Casiraghi had the edge in looks because he actually had a square or squarish jawline, whereas Edo's face is feminine, pretty oval. Shit, his jawline is way more feminine than manly-jaws Meghan.

R268 AFAIK there's no solid evidence Melania was an escort. That was the basis of her libel lawsuit against the DM. If the DM had proof, they would have used it. The truth is an absolute defence against libel. Instead, the DM settled for almost $3M.
by Anonymous | reply 281 | May 29, 2019 2:54 AM |
Bea is about 162-163 cm or about 5 feet 4 inches tall. Judging from the photo in this article, it looks like she's wearing 3-inch heels, no more than 4 inches. Edo is about the same height, which makes him 172-173 cm or 5 feet 7 inches tall, or to be extra generous 175 cm/ 5 feet 8-9 inches at most.

People are passing within 20 feet of Frog Cott and trying to peer into windows? I have a hard time believing this.
by Anonymous | reply 289 | May 29, 2019 3:10 AM |
Yes, but there are many articles with the photo of the house and the article at the link talks about people trying to look into the windows. The assumption can easily be that they are living in the structure in the photo. In articles re: renovations to Frog Cot, photos of scaffolding around the mausoleum was used.
Is it plausible that people are allowed to go within 20 feet, close enough to see in the windows? Given the lawsuit that was just won? I think he is at KP and she is at the Clooney home.
by Anonymous | reply 290 | May 29, 2019 3:12 AM |
I've read in a few gossipy places that Sparkles doesn't actually live in Frogmore.
by Anonymous | reply 291 | May 29, 2019 3:39 AM |
At my high school, and I'm same age as Meghan, there were 2 types of girls: those who followed trashy trends and wore those tacky-ass Playboy tanks and shirts vs. those who didn't because they thought them tacky as fuck. Also, I thought Meg was supposed to be a feminist? There's nothing feminist about Playboy. Playboy was all about co-opting sexuality for women, but based upon trite, old-fashioned, traditional male fantasy of how women should look and behave to be considered desirable. I guess Meghan saying she was a feminist all her life was a big lie too, not surprised.

The residence is a rental that she gets for free, but, like many of her other scams involves her getting reimbursed for what the rental would cost if she was actually paying. The the Enty “blind” at r305, those things make so little sense. Who is giving Meghan money to pay her rent? She doesn’t receive a PAYCHECK, does she? Is Amal charging rent? I can imagine “Frog Cott isn’t private and secure enough for a Princess of the United Kingdom. I’m renting the Clooney pile. The People are obligated to house me, so please deposit £xxx in my account so I can pay my friend the rent owed.” Like that?
The blind doesn’t mention Harry or the baby. If she’s living with him, he’s as complicit in the scam as she is. If he isn’t cohabiting with her...
And now I’ve spent much too much time entertaining a CDAN blind.

With a dearth of news from the royals, the Daily Express is rehashing old news: Andrew Morton claims Kate used a charity boat race for self promotion and then ghosted friends when Will said things were back on.
[quote] Most significantly, she had undertaken gruelling training to enter a women-only boat race, which she called off at the last minute when her relationship with William got back on track.
[quote] Mr Morton continues: “When she pulled out of the dragon-boat race in August with just a week to go, their worst fears were confirmed.”
[quote] Race organiser Emma Sayle told the author that she pleaded with Kate: “Remember, this is not just for charity, it is for yourself.
[quote] “Please don’t drop out. For the first time in your life you are actually doing something for yourself.”
[quote] Mr Morton adds: “Her friend Alicia Fox-Pitt also had to drop out after breaking her collar bone in a riding accident. Alicia, however, travelled to Dover to wave the team off on what proved to be a world-record-breaking endeavour.
[quote] “As for Kate, it was as if the last three months of relative independence had become another country, the Sisterhood never heard from her again; not so much as a word of congratulation or a donation to the children’s charities for which the women raised more than £100,000.”

In the past, have members of the family taken newborn babies out on the balcony? Seems like it would be easier for the baby and the parents to leave the baby at home with a nanny and let it sleep. And if you don't have a nanny, then it's probably better to stay home with the baby.

And shocked that the IG account didn’t mention MM in the post about Sentebale. Was cracking up at how she shoehorned herself into the one about the Garden Party. Was really half-expecting some footage of the anniversary of her SEXXXY sashay up the stairs.

Oh my sides-today's Instagram post. Markle's narc fingers are all over it, and it's hilarious how she refers to him as "His Royal Highness." Some nuggets: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended their first official Garden Party as a couple last May at Buckingham Palace just days after their wedding, in celebration of The Prince of Wales’ charity work, patronages and military affiliations." You know-just in case we forgot. It's critical we be reminded.
"The Duke also greeted several representatives of The Duchess’ patronages on her behalf, as she is on maternity leave and was unable to attend." Again, so crucial we know this.
She's the gift that keeps on giving.

I've got to be honest, my sister is all over the school mam / prairie dress look, she is a make-up artist in film and TV. So it must be fashionable? She has that blonde violet hair, it all looks good on her. But it must be kind of "in" for her to adopt it. Makes a change from her ripped denimn shorts over laddered tights, lol.

R389 is right, this schoolmarm look has been big for a minute. Unfortunately it looks best, in my opinion, on women with willowy/not-busty builds. It can move intro frump/matron territory very quickly (and not in a stylish way) on the large busted like ol' Bea (and myself, although i think I've aged out of that kind of super trendy dressing).
As for Melania, her real tits were WAY better.
I hope Megs shows at the Trooping. Lots of fawning over her on other sites right now re her "snubbing" Trump. She's lucky she's got an excuse in her maternity leave. Otherwise she'd be rolled out to greet Cheetolini with the rest of the poor bastards.

R390 Stop being a trolling asswipe. Call Melania artistic or call her a slut based on her nude images. Posing nude isn't escorting.
R281 is a statement of fact. It is on record that the DM had to pay Melania 2.9M after claiming she was an escort ("provided services beyond simply modelling.") and not having evidence to back up its claims.

I think Bea and Eug look fantastic in r394. Appropriate and pretty. The large breasts do tend to make a woman look matronly if she’s not careful, but most straight men will want to ogle them anyway.

Kate had no choice re the Sussex wedding, absent a bout of postpartum milk fever. Louis was born 23 April, so by the Trooping the Colour last year, Kate was closer to seven weeks past childbirth, as opposed to not quite a full month at the Sussex wedding. Kate looked much slimmer and more her normal self at the Trooping - in fact, she looked radiant and regal in her lovely blue with her RAF Brooch and high hat - you could still see a bit of postpartum belly on Kate at the Sussex wedding.

She won't show herself until she has her pre-pregnancy body back again. Meghan has an actress's vanity, and she also has to compete with Kate, who is much taller and naturally thinner. I honestly don't have a problem with that. If I had the whole world judging the size of my ass, I wouldn't show it until it looked damn good.
by Anonymous | reply 417 | May 29, 2019 10:56 PM |
Those tanned up liver spots gave Markle away, she'd been out of the country pre-baby reveal at Windsor. Is she back out, now?
by Anonymous | reply 418 | May 29, 2019 11:01 PM |
Meghan will try to make Trooping all right, that is if she's able to lose the amount of weight needed for her to look comparable to Kate when she attended their wedding last year. If she's still carrying the weight gain around on her torso and face on top of looking very postpartum, then I think she's image-conscious enough to skip it. I'd love for her to skip it and then in next few months get pregnant again, so that she'll miss the next year's too. My cousin-on-law's sister managed to give birth within a span of 12 months so it can happen, it was unexpected because the stupid bitch thought she couldn't get pregnant so soon after giving birth to the first one.

Having had a second look at Bea and Yuge at the garden party today (?) I've decided Bea doesn't look bad at all (and that was my comment earlier about big bosoms and looking matronly in the prairie/schoolmarm dresses).
Another brand that does the look in an ugly NYC hipster kind of way would be Batsheva, which I will link.
As we hunger for more cringey fuckery from cringe, perhaps we could reminisce about her banana slogans? My brain has actually blanked the specifics out completely, so tooth-grindingly awful were they. I will have a look at the Googles.

Ah, here we are. Google autocompleted after "what did meghan w" to what did "meghan write on bananas." Lol, I am not the only one wondering. Anyway:
"You are strong" - "You are special" - "You are brave" and my personal favourite: "You are loved." Because as we all understand, sex workers receiving care packages of chips and bananas are "loved." That's not a slam on sex workers, btw. Any normal person has nothing but sympathy for another human in such dire straits. It was just such a thoughtless thing for Duchess Kindness to write. And it gets to the heart of why I don't like her one bit. How tone deaf can you get? And it wasn't even well-meaning tone deafness. There were cameras there, and she knew it. Barf. Barf. Barf. Barf. She's doing what an astute poster noted of the general public in another thread - she's performing her identity. It's not about who she is. It's about who she's seen to be.

Regarding Melania's alleged escorting, of course, there's no evidence of criminal activity as the world of high end escorting depends on discretion and cash transactions. That was the basis for winning the lawsuits. There was also one against a small time blogger in Rhode Island. However, this doesn't mean that she didn't. You also have to consider that anything that comes out of the Trumps' mouths is likely to be prima facie false. Trump touted her degree in architecture, but she dropped out of university after a semester or two. Trump boasts that she speaks five languages, but it's really not clear that she does. She claimed to have written her speech for the Republican National Convention all by herself, but after getting caught out for plagiarizing Michelle Obama's speech from a years' prior DNC, an aide admitted it was she, not Melania who wrote it. And remarkably, she claims to not have had breast augmentation and tries to come off as being against cosmetic procedures as quoted in the attached article. Really?!
Anyway, more damning is her association with Paolo Zampolli whose modeling agency has been accused of being a cover for sex trafficking. She came to NY and had a tough time finding work due to her age; at 26 she was constantly losing jobs to younger models. How did she afford to live in NYC if she was working sporadically? Her former roommate, a photographer in the industry, has some very interesting observations in the GQ article. This stands out:
[quote]In New York, Melania lived a quiet, homebound life, taking assiduous care of her body: walks with ankle weights, seven pieces of fruit every day, diligently moisturizing her skin. She rarely partied, never brought anyone back to the apartment, and was always home early. “She didn’t go out to dance clubs; she’d go to Cipriani for dinner at ten and be home by one,” Atanian recalls. “Men she would go out with tended to be wealthier, the industrious, European type. They were Italians, playboys. But they’d go out for dinner and she’d be home before I was.”
Three or four hour dates with wealthy (probably older) types? Enough time for dinner and service. If these were romantic dates, wouldn't she be coming home in the morning or bringing a special gent home? Seriously, folks. We're adults here. Anyhow, the article is a very good read.

R438 Who gives a fuck? This thread is about the BRF.
R435 I’ve also noticed the teeth sucking too. Definitely not dentures (have pro experience of these) - she has veneers. I think she had them redone just before the engagement. Any change in your mouth takes a while to get used to, and since she’s had veneers for many years (and now has to have them because her teeth would have been prepped for them) the teeth sucking has probably become a habit.
Nothing about the bint is real, not even her teeth.

R443, agree on all points.
Harry does seem to be doing his usual schedule of appearances. I’m tempted to read something into it, but it’s probably just normal. Newborns are boring. It’s been said by many that the first year of marriage is the most challenging. I think it’s mostly true for couples who haven’t lived together or know each other for a while. For my spouse and me, it wasn’t any adjustment since we’d lived together for so long.
I can’t begin to imagine how rough it must be for Harry and Meg. They barely knew each other. And then they had the crazy whirlwind of the engagement/wedding/baby in little more than a year.
It must be stressful.

On another note, it's amusing to see Harry all neat and decked out for the Garden Party. Big contrast to his more recent tres rumpled appearance. Harry, I see, is out and about ensuring that no one forgets the Sussex brand or that the Sussexes are "senior working royals".
It's clear that we're seeing more of the York girls, and I doubt that that is casual. We'll have a better idea after MeAgain is Again With Us. Have the Yorks been called in on a stopgap basis as Meghan takes maternity leave, or are have the BRF at last decided they need the York girls at the second-tier working royal level so that Eugenie, at least, can become the future Pss. Alexandra and the Wessexes and Glouncesters?
If the York girls, especially Eugenie, continue to make appearances after MeAgain gets out in front of the cameras again, I think it will support a couple of theories: one, that the BRF doesn't want MeAgain sucking all the air out of the BRF's public stage, and/or two, the BRF know that the Sussexes are going to be around only so long and are preparing to supplement their resources - it also possibly supports the Africa Plan - the Sussexes being booted out of the UK for a long period of time.
Meghan is going to be 38 this summer. I think she'll find that with the engagement, the wedding, the necessary baby/christening, the New Girl on the Block frenzy will start to fade.

I can't decide if the York girls intentionally dress awfully because they know they can't carry off fashion or if they're genuinely that sartorially inept. Nacho is defending Harry's environmentalism.
[quote] Prince Harry made an environmental plea to a hotel he was staying at the night before his polo game, revealed his close friend. Nacho Figueras claimed Prince Harry asked the hotel to not use plastic after he was given a plastic coffee stirrer and received his shirt in a large plastic bag. Prince Harry played in the Sentebale St Regis team, where Mr Figueras was captain.
Say no to plastic.

Harry reads his press.
[quote] Prince Harry once asked a member of his press team why a headline reported he “met five virgins” in Nepal, revealed a royal correspondent. Rhiannon Mills, who wrote the article, claimed Prince Harry “reads and watches everything”. Speaking on ‘Behind the Headlines’ podcast, the Sky News correspondent recollected: “I for a while didn’t appreciate how much everything that I write or record or broadcast, they do watch. Prince Harry once, it was one of his press team, I said ‘oh, is he having a nice time? We’re in Nepal.’
[quote] “They said ‘yeah he’s having a great time, he did ask me this morning Rhiannon why your headline says Prince Harry meets five virgins.’ And I said ‘well that was a headline that was put on by the team back in the UK.’
[quote] “And he had met five young ladies and, in Nepalese, their title did translate into English as ‘five virgins’.”
[quote]Sky News presenter Tom Macleod remarked: “Bet that was a fun phone conversation you had with the news desk.”
[quote] Ms Mills continued: “But Prince Harry, he reads everything, watches everything.”

R476 Charlotte doesn't resemble Diana at all IMO, she looks way more like a young Kate with a bit of William thrown into the mix. Young Diana's nose was already quite long with high bridge in that comparison photo, whereas Charlotte's nose is shorter and her bridge is flatter. Charlotte's eyes are smaller and have a slight downturn at the outer corners (like William) which George also has but his eyes are bigger. Of all the Cambridge children, she has the smallest yet most expressive eyes.
The Sussexes are famewhores, straight and simple. Both read their own press coverage and they try to preempt negative coverage e.g. the truth, by crying privacy. Then the pathologic need to interject their names and titles into everything is indicative of how transparently stupid they are. It goes beyond humble brag that well-adjusted people do from time to time, it's pathological. Harry lapping up all of his own press coverage, I remember reading something about Harry telling someone that gay press coverage made him out to be a hottie. But then later on someone told Harry that it was sort of exaggerated, and then he seemed let down that he wasn't thought to be the desirable hottie that he considered himself to be. I wonder what Harry makes of the truth slowing coming out about Meghan, especially this past week with Made In Chelsea/ find me a famous or rich British man, that sort of thing should make a man rethink the relationship. But seeing as he's just as much of a famewhore as she is, he's probably just finding ways to justify their narcissism and may even think of her as victim, and by extension himself as victim too.

R532 I agree with the gist of what you’re saying, but Harry’s been a prince since birth. I highly doubt he’s impressed by his own title at this stage.. He’s all about photo opportunities with children and elderly people so he gets the “People’s Prince” crap from the tabs and Twitter cretins.
The insistence on using titles is all Meghan. She is 100% responsible for every word of the IG syrup...I doubt she even consults him about it.
by Anonymous | reply 537 | May 30, 2019 5:55 PM |
Harry was extended a generous swathe of goodwill by the public because of what happened with Diana when he was young. But as he has gone about showing the type of person he is as an adult, by every measure he makes plain he is nothing more than a spoiled obnoxious prat. Sick of his beady-eyes and unkempt appearances.

R515 - that is a delicious bit in S. Shakespeare's article. They would never have done that to Kate and William. Perhaps it willl help ease Harry's and Meghan's way out. Perhaps that's what it was intended to do. Perhaps the BRF all along has had a gut feeling that the Sussexes weren't in it for the long haul, and (as always) without coming out and saying so, made their unwillingness to make more than a middling investment in them clear in the standard code.
by Anonymous | reply 539 | May 30, 2019 6:10 PM |
Is Nacho Figueras as dim as his BFF? I mean, is that quote a pisstake? He noticed plastic stirring straws and, due to his extreme concern for the environment, asked the hotel to stop using plastic? And then got on a plane and flew back to the UK, from which he had just flown in 48 hours before? This is not the second time Harry has openly gotten berate-y about environmental concerns and I'm sorry but it just makes me want to burst out laughing when these extremely well traveled royals do that. There is little individuals can do that is more harmful to the environment than air travel. Harry can fuck right off.
And yes, absolutely delicious quote about FrogCott. The comments on the window were fingertip-kissingly snobby/bitchy. Mmmmm, perfection.
R460 and R480, I third your opinions that a fake baby or pregnancy would be truly shocking (and I don't believe either occurred), Haz and Rach not living at FrogCott would not be. I suppose all 3 of us will soon be labeled the Frogcott Troll. Bring it on, Troll Troll! I don't think it's that outlandish to believe an extremely wealthy family with multiple residences might be allowing Hazbean to stay elsewhere - especially if they kicked up a big fuss about privacy and the baybeeeeee.
Interesting thing is, if they're not at FrogCott I'd bet money the media knows it. Have we seen any between-the-line type comments from them? Is that exquisite bitchery about windows and care homes an example? Rubbing it in because they know Hazbean won't actually deny being there? I dunno, maybe they are there. I don't know. I just wouldn't be surprised if they weren't. Even now we've seen Meg's disastrous PR instincts I'm still slightly surprised they were given such an obvious booby prize as Frogcott. Those planes, that proximity to public areas, that total lack of grandeur. It really does seem like a message. And if it was, it seems to have been one that was heartfelt as far back as the pre-wedding or wedding period.

Why would Meghan take Archie to NYC? I's the media capital of where it matters in her mind, and where a paps can be easily assembled to create an international scene. I think too that L.A. reminds her of failure because she never made it as an actress there, and the fact that her childhood L.A. roots were humble, which isn't a good think in her book.

The general idea was that they'd get a country home and London accommodations. The Sussex couple ended up with the old servant lodging under heathrow flights with public access right up close.
That isn't what someone expects when they marry the son of the future king, someone that's supposed to be a visible senior working royal until the cambridge kids get much older.

R566 All the evidence suggests that Meghan and Harry are living at Frogmore. The Sussexes have listed it as their official residence on the son's birth certificate. The press reported heavily when they moved from Kensington to Frogmore. The British tabloids have no love or loyalty to the Sussexes. If they had received millions from the Sovereign Grant and then decided to shack up somewhere else, the tabloids would have a field day.
The Queen is sometimes photographed riding or driving but beyond that, she isn't seem walking or gardening on her Windsor estate. The same can be said of most of the royal family. They have areas of privacy.
That's not to say the Sussexes are always at Frogmore. They may have been away while Frogmore House was open to the public.

There are multiple conflicting reports in mainstream media around the time of the wedding that the Queen had given the Harkles either York Cottage or Adelaide Cottage. Yet they landed at Frogmore, announced in November. How did that happen? Did the Queen have trouble making up her mind? Did she forget which cottage she had given them? Did her press secretary make a typo?
I’d bet that neither pile was satisfactory and there was some... negotiating. The Queen said “Meghan will take what she’s given”.
Ergo, the endless renovations and delays moving in for good. And I predict Meghan will not take what she’s given. Tungsten will leave the country before she settles in meekly.

R554, So the first 4 million pounds (not dollars - pounds) weren't sufficient for her vapidness, the Duchsex of Excess?
by Anonymous | reply 579 | May 30, 2019 9:14 PM |
R561 Ahh! The notorious Troll Troll! Instead of F and F-ing, fellow royal gossipers, we must all send vibes of zen and peace to R561, lest our low class welping and oofing cause them further injury. Anyone who ignores my order will b mercilessly F and F-ed themselves (please do let me know you are disobeying, though, so I can carry out the punishment). Troll Troll, do some breathing exercises or something. OOF! WELP!
R575 I have it on good authority (the voices) that young Master Archie finds the walls and windows in FrogCott APPALLING. The mite cares not for the contents of his nappies as long as he is forced to gaze upon the horror that is plastic framed windows. (confession: I do not actually know what poors frame their windows in, despite being a poor myself - oh dear!)

Shit her skin is so bad and that was before baby. On top of also dealing with Markle fat genes, no wonder she had a post-pregnancy contract with ex Trevor. Her childhood photos show her to be prone to chubbiness and the manner in which she put on top-heavy weight during pregnancy was frankly quite impressive.
Meghan is like the character Kitty Pong from Crazy Rich Asians, the actress social climber who latched onto the youngest son Alistair because she thought him to be rich. She then had to be set straight about who she needs to fuck (never the youngest son) if she wants to be crazy rich. I suspect Meghan had $$$ in her eyes when she hooked up with Harry, but now reality is sinking in that he'll always be the one not set to inherit everything.or close to everything.

R578 - The inside story of how FrogCott came to be bestowed upon Ginge and Cringe is one I would very much love to hear. I find Meghan awful and quite obvious in her awfulness. I cannot, however, deny that there is a contingent who are charmed and beguiled by the Insta duchess, and I therefore also cannot deny that some of this contingent might reside in royal palaces. I.e. maybe Queenie and/or Charlie and/or whoever else matters actually likes this bint.
But Frogcott, even to the stans, seems unambiguously second rate when better properties WERE available. It is FrogCott itself that makes me think HM isn't as loathe to send direct signals as it sometimes appears she is.
Welp.
Off.
Ow.
Biff.
Bam.
Urgh.

I don’t think hippieish L.A. would be hospitable for the royal couple. They would do betteramong the more status-conscious socialites of the Upper East Side. Papers hinted she was looking there.

Do you bitches know how LIP SMACKINGLY DELICIOUS it would be if they *actually* left the RF?
R581 I don't disagree with you but it's my personal suspicion that Megsy has always cared more about being famous and admired than about $. Not that she doesn't care anout $, she just reeks of Angelina Jolie and whatever damage or personality issues it was with her that led to her desperate need to be seen to be the Best and Most Loved Humanitarian Who Ever Humanitarianed And Also Most Loved By Poors and Most Likely To Weep Hot Tears Over The Suffering Of Others AKA Most Empathetic On Earth Ever And Also Most Beautiful We Will Never Be As Amazing As Her Oh Lord Isn't She Amazing.
Lastly, to the poster who suggested a meme of Harry and the plastic stirrers in the manner of NO MORE WIRE HANGERS - yes, please, can someone do this? Any trump fans here? I hear you people are good with the memes. Pls help!
PS. Welp.

r583, that would be fascinating!
Does Meghan not know how we live cheek by jowl with the Poors here? She’d be heckled on the street. Or, worse, ignored. And she’d never be able to compete with the serious money here. She’d likely be the least wealthy (although best titled) at whatever function she attended.
What kind of place could they possibly afford? Maybe the Queen would allow them to live in her UN-area apartment...

The next thread Part 64 is up. I've included a poll. Please fill up this thread before using the new one. Thanks.

R584, I see your point but there are critical distinctions. 1st of all Angelina is independently wealthy. She may be batshit crazy, but she can do whatever she wants with her own money. Meg is wealthy by marriage. 2nd of all, Angelina probably is a little bit batshit crazy. She cares about her image but in a "Maleficent - the Movie!" kind of way. She's fine with being the bad girl as long as she's perceived as powerful and sexy and full of personal agency. Meg, OTOH, is thirsty for admiration, but more in the GOOP sort of way. She wants to be universally admired for having all the right thoughts, all the right positions, all the right looks. Unfortunately, she's been revealed to be a thirsty whore who married the dumb prince, can't even cook toast, and isn't pretty when pregnant. She annoys the bejesus out of the people who pay her salary. She inserts herself where she isn't wanted. She's self-important and doesn't seem to understand how viscerally disliked she is. She's the diarrhea of the royal family, and those of us who don't like her are accused of being racists who need a high colonic.

Does NYC society still care about titled Europeans? I gather from reading about 1960s NY society that it was sort of a big deal but I'm sensing now it's all about hefty wealth (billions not millions) first and foremost and other attributes second. Between NYC and LA it's the latter that would be more impressed with titled, trashy Europeans.

R588, I think Meghan doesn’t have any goal except to be better than everyone.
by Anonymous | reply 590 | May 30, 2019 9:43 PM |
R588 for PM!

Harry looks pissed off but this guy is more interested in his phone.

R589, there's the recent Anna Sorokin story. She was a Russian famewhore who faked being of some kind of German wealth. The truly wealthy got bored of her and saw through her after a while, but she apparently grifted along. She's a bit of a Russian Markle.
by Anonymous | reply 593 | May 30, 2019 9:49 PM |
Yes a convicted felon/Russian-born imposter is JUST LIKE MEGHAN MARKLE. Seriously, if you people could see what you look like to the rest of the world, you'd die of embarrassment.
by Anonymous | reply 594 | May 30, 2019 9:53 PM |
Good Lord, how is Meghan like Anna Sorkin? Meghan may be annoying, grasping and a social climber, but so far there's no evidence she's a criminal.
by Anonymous | reply 595 | May 30, 2019 9:54 PM |
To the idiot asking for evidence that they are living in Frogmore Cottage - like what? If they are there, it’s surrounded by armed police. Do you seriously expect anyone to be able to hang around in the garden and get photos for you? Get real.
And here’ve a very basic logic lesson for you - the person making the claim has the evidential burden,. That’s you.
You claimed to know they are not living there - I simply asked for your evidence. Rather than being an intelligent person of integrity and admitting you don’t actually have any you stooped to the level every uneducated cretin does and tried to turn it back on asker.
I don’t know where they are. How would I? You’re claiming you do...so present your evidence or admit yu have none.
It’s people like you who have utterly destroyed this thread and I really wish you’d fuck off.
by Anonymous | reply 596 | May 30, 2019 9:58 PM |
Alex if this is Jeopardy, I'll take "Grasping, self-important, and fake personal promotions for $1,000!" "Who is Meghan Markle?" Wait - is the Daily Double that Russian grifter girl?
by Anonymous | reply 598 | May 30, 2019 10:00 PM |
I think the proof that they aren't living at Froggy Hollow is Mad Meg's PR piece claiming anyone seen lurking will " be shot on sight".
by Anonymous | reply 599 | May 30, 2019 10:06 PM |
They live in Frogmore House and the Queen just gifted them with a white pony for the young master.
by Anonymous | reply 600 | May 30, 2019 10:07 PM |
R595, Are you saying that "annoying, grasping and a social climber, but so far there's no evidence she's a criminal" isn't enough?
How far must we lower our standards, then?
by Anonymous | reply 601 | May 30, 2019 10:08 PM |
I can't wait for the British press to let RIP with what hey are sitting on. Please god, let's not have to wait for too long. Some very tongue in cheek stuff going on , now, but they are being loyal. To a point. These threads will go haywire, once the current shitshow starts to dilute.
by Anonymous | reply 602 | May 30, 2019 10:13 PM |
