Time for this thread to die. It's over.

by Anonymousreply 5March 22, 2019 11:27 PM

Chris Mathews is fogging the camera lens with his dis peptic spittle! No indictments!....while this is frustrating , we know no more now than we did anytime in the last 2 years about what is in the Mueller Report...I for one will save my spittle for the actual reveal as to how filthy this president is.

I held on the hope that America only elected this president due to collusion. I found it hard to believe a country could be so stupid to vote for this idiot. In the end I guess I need to realize what country I am living in. Half the country wanted this man to be their president.

by Anonymousreply 9March 22, 2019 11:35 PM

No, that's not the official thread, but nice try, R7.

by Anonymousreply 10March 22, 2019 11:36 PM

Led to what, R8? Your failure of a post?

by Anonymousreply 11March 22, 2019 11:37 PM

This is the only official thread on this matter. Period.

The trolls will be here to gloat but fuck them. As was pointed out, we know nothing about what is in the report yet.

Lets see how Pres Bone Spurs responds when he learns what is in it.

by Anonymousreply 12March 22, 2019 11:45 PM

Let that other thread exist, it seems to be pulling in all the trolls. These threads have always managed to only have a troll or two.

Someone help me out... is it possible that the "sources," are just lying and the goal is to just make everyone believe there was nothing in the report so that they can bury it and move on? Is that maybe the reason the Democrats want the full report released?

by Anonymousreply 17March 22, 2019 11:56 PM

so who told Chris Cuomo? He fucking knew!

by Anonymousreply 18March 22, 2019 11:58 PM
What if Barr shut down the Mueller probe by giving him an ultimatum to deliver his report? Just a speculation, of course, but how would we know?

Has anyone answered this? The timing seems convenient considering when Barr was confirmed. If he ordered Mueller to end it and submit the report, Mueller would have to submit it, whether it was 100% done or not. That report that they couldn't do something some judge ordered this week because they were really, really busy seems to indicate they may have been rushing to get things finished by a deadline.

by Anonymousreply 19March 22, 2019 11:59 PM

I can't quite believe it, but I'm actually light-headed, dizzy and a little sick over this. Sometimes I wish I was one of the sheeple who don't know anything and don't care. Well, thoughts and prayers, I guess. I'm still hoping for the best possible outcome.

by Anonymousreply 20March 23, 2019 12:01 AM

It has felt like I've been living in a simulation since 2016.

by Anonymousreply 21March 23, 2019 12:03 AM

what a let down. At least a lot of people around him are going to jail. That's something...

by Anonymousreply 22March 23, 2019 12:09 AM

Last night, Joy indicated that Rachel was off tonight as she said "Rachel will be back soon." I have a feeling that Rachel changed her mind and decided to come in and do her show based on the breaking news. They've been teasing Rachel with a small bug in the lower right hand corner for the past two hours. I don't think they would be doing this if Joy was hosting the TRMS.

by Anonymousreply 23March 23, 2019 12:09 AM

Thanks for the info R23.

by Anonymousreply 24March 23, 2019 12:10 AM

Chris Matthews makes me a bit crazy but I'm with him tonight in his outrage. Natasha Bertrand makes some good points about what all we already know and how many important questions there are left unanswered. To me it feels like Barr pushed Mueller to hurry up and finish.

by Anonymousreply 25March 23, 2019 12:13 AM

Impeach the bastard. Granted the Senate will not convict him, at least he will forever bear the black mark of impeachment. He is going to torment us for the next two years so we may as well give him reason to do so.

by Anonymousreply 26March 23, 2019 12:14 AM

Rachel will be on her show tonight to talk about the Mueller Report.

Come on, 2 years, you think she'd miss this?

by Anonymousreply 27March 23, 2019 12:17 AM

The House will subpoena Mueller and ask him if Barr forced him to finish sooner than he would have otherwise.

by Anonymousreply 28March 23, 2019 12:17 AM

R28 did you see that reported somewhere or is that a guess?

by Anonymousreply 29March 23, 2019 12:19 AM

It’s over girls. Focus on the election.

by Anonymousreply 30March 23, 2019 12:23 AM

Mueller, Rosenstein and Barr are going to make us deal with these treasonous fucks and get rid of them ourselves.

They've evidently decided that since they're adults, we have to be adults too and be responsible citizens in a participatory democracy. I fucking hate when that happens.

But okay, the congressional hearings will now take up the work of investigation and revelation of this scandal to the public.

I don't care, it's fine, we'll take these motherfucking grifters down.

by Anonymousreply 31March 23, 2019 12:23 AM

R30 House investigations are just beginning. Anything that damages Trump *is* a good thing for the election.

by Anonymousreply 32March 23, 2019 12:28 AM

The only reason I'm doubting that Barr forced it to close is because he's good friends with Mueller. Not work acquaintances like Comey, the Mueller and Barr families have been good friends for decades.

The Republicans seem jubilant but I have a feeling Mueller isn't done with the trumps yet. There are the off-shoot cases elsewhere, we know that. I mean there are things that will come out in the Mueller Report itself that will kick trump and his family in the face.

by Anonymousreply 33March 23, 2019 12:31 AM

I'm telling you, it is just starting.....................

by Anonymousreply 34March 23, 2019 12:40 AM

R33: Senators McCain and Graham were good friends, too; you see where that got us. Miss Lindsey is with donald down at Mar aLargo (or however the fuck it's spelled) this evening enjoying a double portion of bile.

by Anonymousreply 35March 23, 2019 12:41 AM

I believe it's spelled Maga Lardo.

by Anonymousreply 36March 23, 2019 12:46 AM

That filthy whore Miss Lindsey ran down to Mar-A-Lago to spend time with Trump tonight, after he spent all week trashing her dead BFF.

by Anonymousreply 37March 23, 2019 12:51 AM

I want heads on stakes, goddamit!

by Anonymousreply 38March 23, 2019 12:52 AM

He really is a disgrace, r37.

by Anonymousreply 39March 23, 2019 12:57 AM
The only reason I'm doubting that Barr forced it to close is because he's good friends with Mueller. Not work acquaintances like Comey, the Mueller and Barr families have been good friends for decades.

Your mistaken if you believe that Rethugs put friendship before party. They can't even put their country before their party.

by Anonymousreply 40March 23, 2019 1:00 AM
The only reason I'm doubting that Barr forced it to close is because he's good friends with Mueller. Not work acquaintances like Comey, the Mueller and Barr families have been good friends for decades.

What does that have to do with anything? No one is saying he got out a whip and beat him until he relented and handed in the report. More like, "Hey Bob, I'm gonna need that report by the end of the month." "Yes sir." That would have been the extent of it.

by Anonymousreply 41March 23, 2019 1:01 AM

We haven't seen a single word of Mueller's report, not one. He may eviscerate trump and the low IQ kids in it, we just don't know yet. He won't indict them, we know that and it's disappointing as hell. Oh well, lots and lots to do before November 2020.

We managed to get Mueller to the finish line. If they destroyed enough evidence and lied enough to avoid being one of Mueller's 35 indictments, so be it. We have other remedies in congress, we have the relentlessness of public opinion and we have the election.

Sooner or later, in some jurisdiction or other, we will get these fuckers. They aren't Professor fucking Moriarty and Co., they're more like OJ. If nothing else, they'll only have the deplorables left to them by the time we get finished with this. OJ hangs out with the dregs, among whom he is a big man. Everyone else on earth knows he's a vicious, lying murderer. Even the dregs know but they don't care.

Trumps and Kushners have never been society, they're strictly new money and no manners. They aren't even interesting dinner companions. Socially, they'll sink even lower now than they were before. While that's satisfying, and they'll hate it more than most other things, I still want them indicted and tried in New York and they will be.

Every secret thing, every scam, every crime they committed and every lie they told will come out and be known before this is done.

by Anonymousreply 42March 23, 2019 1:17 AM

Just because Mueller didn't indict the whole Trump Crime Syndicate doesn't mean someone else can't.

by Anonymousreply 43March 23, 2019 1:18 AM

I still haven't ruled out the looney bin for Trump.

by Anonymousreply 44March 23, 2019 1:20 AM

If Trump gets away with everything, then Russia will ensure his re-election. Time to learn Russian. Russia and the hillbillies won. Welcome to Y’all Qaeda.

by Anonymousreply 45March 23, 2019 1:22 AM

No, R41, that's not how decades-old friends and colleagues talk to each other. Especially not with Mueller being the stronger, higher status and more respected of the two.

I don't believe Barr shut him down.

by Anonymousreply 46March 23, 2019 1:22 AM

Thanks Joe and Mika

by Anonymousreply 47March 23, 2019 1:24 AM

What have they done to her eyes??!!

Did Rachel take a double-dose of her anti-anxiety meds after being snatched from vacation and going on air? Something is a bit off physically, but she's not missing a beat regarding her analysis of the Report. Go girl! Best of the best!

by Anonymousreply 48March 23, 2019 1:26 AM

R46, Barr outranks him in this case. He's his boss. That's exactly how it would happen. There may have been a little pushback if they were truly not even close to done but, in the end, if he as told to end it by the AG, he ends it.

by Anonymousreply 49March 23, 2019 1:29 AM

Since Rachel's in TN, you can see she got stuck with the make-up person from the TN station she's sitting in - shiny lip gloss, raccoon eyes and spackle.

by Anonymousreply 50March 23, 2019 1:32 AM

That’s hat I was thinking r50

Her lips look croooked

by Anonymousreply 51March 23, 2019 1:34 AM

We'll know what's in the report when we see how Trump responds on Twitter. If he starts crowing, it's good for him...or at least he thinks it's good for him. If he goes on attack against all comers, it's bad. If he's silent, I don't know what the fuck to think.

by Anonymousreply 52March 23, 2019 1:34 AM

R52 - If he's silent, he's been sedated and / or threatened to shut the fuck up.

by Anonymousreply 53March 23, 2019 1:36 AM

Nah, it ain't the makeup R50 and R51, she's got glassy, unfocused crazy eyes tonight.

by Anonymousreply 54March 23, 2019 1:38 AM

She was probably halfway through dinner with drinks when they pulled her in and slapped her in front of a camera.

by Anonymousreply 55March 23, 2019 1:39 AM

What is Rachel saying? I can't watch.

by Anonymousreply 56March 23, 2019 1:42 AM

R56: Nothing new

by Anonymousreply 57March 23, 2019 1:47 AM

I love Adam Schiff. . He has been on this from day 1

NO NO NO!

That’s not what this means!

by Anonymousreply 60March 23, 2019 1:53 AM

Anyone else, aside from the troll at R57?

by Anonymousreply 61March 23, 2019 1:54 AM

DL's Mascot husband and pillar of strength, Chuck Rosenberg, is on Rachel saying that he feels strongly that people who have not been indicted by Mueller should NOT be doing end zone dances quite yet. Other US attorneys are probably going after them.

by Anonymousreply 62March 23, 2019 1:55 AM

We should never have expected help and honesty from a republican. We were just foolish.

by Anonymousreply 63March 23, 2019 1:56 AM

This is why I want Bernie Sanders and all the other Independents to get the hell out of the way.

There are so many liberals that are so selfish and spoiled they will vote for anyone on earth but the Democratic nominee, because that person won’t be perfect in every way. We have got to pull together and elect our candidate in a landslide, or Russia will re-elect Trump.

by Anonymousreply 64March 23, 2019 1:57 AM

R55 she was fishing in Tenn. and is reporting from Tenn.

by Anonymousreply 65March 23, 2019 1:58 AM

Man, poor Rachel looks like she just rolled up with no makeup! She's on her game but looks worn.

by Anonymousreply 66March 23, 2019 1:58 AM

Has Chris "Tweety" Mathews calmed down yet? He was on FIYA and justifiably so. Oh wait, here comes Chuck Rosenberg...

by Anonymousreply 67March 23, 2019 2:01 AM

She opened saying that a few hours earlier she had been standing in a trout stream, flailing at the fish.

Her mouth is crooked, her makeup is off, it's not her usual makeup artist and lighting. Interesting what a difference it makes.

Lawrence too, he's in Miami.

by Anonymousreply 68March 23, 2019 2:03 AM

I knew enough to indict Trump for obstruction in May, 2017. There is no excuse for Mueller and his half assed job. Please do not defend the bastard.

by Anonymousreply 69March 23, 2019 2:04 AM
If he's silent, he's been sedated and / or threatened to shut the fuck up.

Miss Lindz may be down at Mara Largo as a handler. To put out fires and such.

by Anonymousreply 70March 23, 2019 2:06 AM

Odd Trump is so quiet...

by Anonymousreply 71March 23, 2019 2:08 AM

The fuck?

R69 we haven't even seen Mueller's work. We always knew he wouldn't indict trump, it's against DoJ policies and he's a by the book prosecutor.

by Anonymousreply 72March 23, 2019 2:08 AM

“I knew enough to indict Trump for obstruction in May, 2017.“

That sentence sums up the ‪1,618,033‬ “Treasons” threads posted in the last 2 years.

This is an embarrassment.

R73, didn't realize you had seen the report. Thanks for your input.

by Anonymousreply 74March 23, 2019 2:17 AM

R73, you're the embarrassment.

by Anonymousreply 75March 23, 2019 2:19 AM

R72

If Mueller had any indication that Trump was compromised by a foreign power in any way, shape, form, or fashion, then he would have rained hellfire down on him 18 months ago, and Trump would be jailed as a Manchurian.

This is not shocking to anyone who has actually looked at the counter narratives, or listened to people like Caitlin Johnstone or Glenn Greenwald or Steven F Cohen or Michael Tracey- hardcore liberals who see the danger of going all in on a potential “nothing burger”.

by Anonymousreply 76March 23, 2019 2:22 AM

R74

I will gladly read the report. The lawsuit has already been filed for the entire report to be released, instead of an executive summary.

HI do not believe that it will contain any evidence that Trump colluded with Russia, or knew of any attempts at interference on his behalf, because I’ve actually stepped outside the echo chamber.

by Anonymousreply 77March 23, 2019 2:24 AM

What nonsense are you posting, R76?

Mueller has over charged over 35 enitites with, i believe the total is 190 crimes.

But please continue to read your right wing crap. Moron.

by Anonymousreply 78March 23, 2019 2:26 AM

R73 keeps showing us how bothered it is.

by Anonymousreply 79March 23, 2019 2:27 AM

If there is one thing that can be said positively about the odious Tucker Carlson, is that he has people on his show that are allowed to present counter narratives that are unpopular.

Generally, if they are polite then he is polite in return. He can even take a good reading and spar with a bit of humor... if his guest has one.

I’m afraid that Rachel is going to have a nervous breakdown if someone who disagrees with her comes on her show.

I actually read websites that aren’t inside the echo chamber, and this is not surprising to any of us. If you aren’t aware of the progressive journalists that have been exposing the ridiculous Russia narrative then you need to get outside the basement.

by Anonymousreply 80March 23, 2019 2:29 AM

R78

None of those indictments or charges or convictions have had anything to do with Trump and Russia. How can you not know this?

People are unwilling to admit that they were wrong and continue to pursue this dead end will be the people that reelect Trump in 2020. His re-election will be on your shoulders.

by Anonymousreply 94March 23, 2019 2:39 AM

R94 We're not wrong. There is enough evidence in the public domain to illustrate that Trump Campaign colluded with Russia to impact the election. Mueller can say what he wants in the report. We've already seen the evidence and its damning.

by Anonymousreply 95March 23, 2019 2:42 AM

Well, he's already an unindicted Co-Conspirator in the Cohen illegal campaign contribution case in NY. Presumably there's a sealed indictment filed and waiting for him. He won't skate on statute of limitations.

There are so many cases against him in so many jurisdictions, the Congressional investigations are getting rolling, his long presidential* nightmare is just beginning. Running for POTUS as an infomercial will end up being the biggest mistake he ever made in a life filled with dumb, careless, cruel and selfish fuck ups.

This focus on Mueller's investigation into Russian collusion is a bit of a straw man. Even if collusion remains unproved, the investigation has has uncovered enough info for numerous other investigations into Trump's misdeeds to work with. The journalist linked to at R84 factitiously opposes the collusion investigation to Sanders-type legislation (as if the Democrats could have done more before the 2018 election, and as if they weren't doing more since it), and Glen Greenwald, too, has this narrow focus, as if "collusion" circumscribed the whole of Trump's illegal deeds. Whatever happened behind the scenes, the fact remains that he supports Putin and other dictators in ways detrimental to American power abroad, in addition to all his other stuff (e.g., just out today, his lying to Deutsche Bank, Jared's unsecured phone, etc.).

I'd like to know more about Trump not speaking to Mueller. We know that's what got Clinton in trouble. Trump was just allowed to not do it?

by Anonymousreply 101March 23, 2019 2:49 AM

Also, note that Trump was still unhinged about Mueller as recent as this morning. YESTERDAY, Barr and Rosenstein were both at the White House. I would have to believe that they were giving Trump a heads up that the report was coming out today. Both of them would know basically what the report was going to say. If he is still unhinged, then there is some damning information contained in the report because they have told him so.

by Anonymousreply 104March 23, 2019 2:50 AM

R101 Different time and different place. Had Clinton pleaded the 5th, politically his presidency would be over. That was a time when we still expected our president to be a law abiding citizen.

by Anonymousreply 105March 23, 2019 2:51 AM

I don't care what the report says.

1. Don Jr and Jared met with Russians in Trump Tower to negotiate getting dirt on Hillary Clinton.

2. Trump's campaign chairman is a crook, a hired gun for Russian oligarchs, and now a convicted criminal.

3. Trump's lawyer is a crook and a convicted criminal. Trump was all too happy to have him work for him and pay hush money to porn stars while the going was good. Trump was made an unindicted co-conspirator in premeditated campaign finance violations.

4. Trump's NatSec advisor was a foreigh agent of Turkey, conspired with the Russian ambassador and was found guilty of lying to the FBI despite being a former military and knowing full well you don't lie to the FBI.

5. Jared was refused a security clearance and had to amend his disclosures about a hundred times because he hid meeting foreigners and having all kinds of conflict of interest. And he is selling the US the various foreigners starting with Israel and the Saudis.

And so on and on...

by Anonymousreply 106March 23, 2019 2:51 AM

What worries me is that Trump abruptly changed his mind a few days ago about releasing the report to the public. It makes me think he got an advanced copy and it said what he wanted it to say.

by Anonymousreply 107March 23, 2019 2:51 AM

Of course he got an advanced copy or at least briefing. What were Barr and Rosenstein doing in the WH the other day?

by Anonymousreply 109March 23, 2019 2:54 AM

Another difference between Clinton and Trump is that Clinton special counsel Kenneth Starr was a bull dog. Started investigating Hillary's land deals and kept digging for several years until he found a black dress with a cum stain in the Oval Office. He was front and center and giving press conferences every other day. We get Mueller who is a by-the-book prosecutor. Wouldn't indict a sitting president because of DOJ rules. Republicans never play by the rules but Democrats do and then are screwed in the end.

by Anonymousreply 112March 23, 2019 2:56 AM

R111 I've said that from the first time I saw that Jared and Ivanka were in Dubrovnik with Wendy. Ivanka had just given birth a couple of weeks earlier and shouldn't have been leaving her newborn at that stage. Was really strange.

Sooner or later we're going to know what they did. Everything that they did. Even if Mueller wouldn't indict the fucker, he knows what he did and we're going to find out.

The Mueller Report has moved beyond the no-leak zone.

by Anonymousreply 114March 23, 2019 3:03 AM

there is an FBI counterintelligence investigation still ongoing. Who knows if that will lead to any indictments

by Anonymousreply 115March 23, 2019 3:10 AM

R112, there was an unwritten rule that the special prosecutor was to be of the opposing party (something to that effect). But the Rethugs are cheats of the highest order and Trump got a "by the book" GOP guy to investigate him.

The orange traitor's massive Twitter melt-down last weekend was when he found out the report was definitely coming out this week.

More meltdown to come when the details of what he did come out. He knows it's going to be bad and he knows he's guilty.

I'm very interested in knowing what Mueller would have indicted him for if the DoJ didn't prohibit it.

by Anonymousreply 118March 23, 2019 3:12 AM

by Anonymousreply 119March 23, 2019 3:13 AM

by Anonymousreply 120March 23, 2019 3:13 AM

by Anonymousreply 122March 23, 2019 3:15 AM

I'm sure Trump is celebrating if the major takeaway is there was no collusion and no further indictments. However, how were so many of his campaign people and lawyer criminally charged but he is not responsible? This is where I am sure the report is full of damaging information but because he can't be indicted as President. Bob Barr will try to keep all that secret since it's not relevant. It's maddening. As for Miss Lindsay, that traitor Queen is sucking cock tonight. Cunt.

by Anonymousreply 123March 23, 2019 3:15 AM

All y’all CALM the fuck DOWN.

We can’t get through something this hard if you’re going to off yourself every time we get back news. I don’t believe this thing is over by a long shot!!! More will be revealed. If Mueller didn’t opt to indict because of the policy, it doesn’t mean he just gave up on the case! I believe he farmed this out to other cases because the investigations are so huge and drawn out that he didn’t have a choice but to do that. Maybe I’m wrong, but I doubt it. The government understands that half the population knows a huge amount of evidence already, and though we want to bash our government constantly, it is *not* in the business of cover-ups and/or gaslighting — that is the sole focus of the current administration, but *not* the vast majority of people and fed departments. Too much evidence has already leaked, Trump is screwed. No, I can’t predict exactly how this will all unfold, I don’t know the when and/or where, but there are scores of other investigations. It is not over.

I know this is so hard, and it sucks, AND Trump will never feel an ounce of remorse, nor could any punishment be enough. But let’s also support each other in staying strong — we do *not* know what the fuck that report says yet. So let’s wait and see what it says. And ultimately, we come full circle yet again — do *not* rely on this oversight process to stop him — we must cap him at the next election, period end.

by Anonymousreply 124March 23, 2019 3:17 AM

Can someone explain how Trump Team meeting with Russians is not collusion?

by Anonymousreply 125March 23, 2019 3:19 AM

On the same day as Special Counsel Robert Mueller handed over his report to Attorney General William Barr, HBO’s Bill Maher asked out loud if Democrats put too much trust in the Mueller report.

“We don’t know much,” he said of the report. “I’m just going to go by what we do know, and I must say, I don’t think it looks good. No further indictments, which means, not Don, Jr., even after ‘I love it’ memo. Really?”

He then added Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort and Roger Stone will also not be indicted for working with the Russians.

“Did the Democrats put too much trust in the Mueller report?” he then asked. “I don’t need the Mueller report to know he’s a traitor. I have a TV.”

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 126March 23, 2019 3:19 AM

Bob Barr can't keep it secret. We are now in the Sieve Zone, it will all leak through a hole at Justice, a hole at any one of several House and Senate committees, a hundred holes at the White House.

Barr can do whatever he likes, we're going to have that report.

by Anonymousreply 128March 23, 2019 3:25 AM

I can understand if Mueller was following DOJ practice by not indicting a sitting President but I want to know why he didn't indict Kushner or Don Jr on anything. Hopefully he thought their crimes weren't in his purview and is another team of lawyers working on their asses

by Anonymousreply 129March 23, 2019 3:35 AM
None of those indictments or charges or convictions have had anything to do with Trump and Russia. How can you not know this?

Oh brother.

Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about conversations with then Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about his work on the Trump Tower Moscow project during the 2016 campaign.

George Papadopoulos repeatedly lied about his contacts with Russian agents and pleaded guilty to that crime.

And that’s only so far.

by Anonymousreply 130March 23, 2019 3:36 AM

Fucking hell, I knew along this would happen. I even made a comment that I was "worried" that everyone here was getting their hopes up and I was dragged for it-

Lets' focus on the election. Let's remember all of the fraud being investigated by other parts of the government.

This motherfucker is going to get reelected in 2020 anyway if they don't get him on something. Anybody can see this.

Hopefully he will be taken down by the state of NY before that can happen.

Can you imagine another term of this shit?

I am done and putting my head in the sand. I will not read one fucking report on Mueller's findings. Fuck the entire thing.

We will have to find our power in another way.

The thing Einstein said about problems not possibly being solved with the same minds who created them..

by Anonymousreply 131March 23, 2019 3:36 AM

What do you assholes think — that when this was over Mueller was going to storm the steps of the White House and drag trump out in his pajamas? For ducks sake already. This was an INVESTIGATION. Let the report drop and then we’ll see what happens with various federal and state indictments.

by Anonymousreply 132March 23, 2019 3:38 AM

I think, or maybe it's hope, R124 is right. Mueller knows getting cooperation from the GOP to do anything to this administration futile. He's going to let states, New York in particular, take the lead. This way no one can be pardoned.

by Anonymousreply 133March 23, 2019 3:45 AM

I wonder if maybe there aren't more indictments because the FBI counterintelligence investigation is still ongoing. My concern with that then is what happens if that investigation keeps going past 2020? Then we'll still have all these unanswered questiosn heading into the election next year and Trump, the repubs and Fox "News" will be allowed to maintain the "there's nothing to see here it's all a witch hunt" narrative. So while the unindicted folks in Trump's camp still aren't out of the fire, they may have this lifeline for another term.

by Anonymousreply 134March 23, 2019 3:46 AM

"I wonder if maybe there aren't more indictments because the FBI counterintelligence investigation is still ongoing."

I didn't even know about about this. Is it possible today's report was designed to be a distraction while the real stuff will be in the report for this other investigation?

by Anonymousreply 135March 23, 2019 3:49 AM

We’re going to need more lampposts.

by Anonymousreply 136March 23, 2019 3:50 AM

R135 it's not a distraction but Mueller had a very narrow scope. I think if any of his findings overlapped with other investigations, he wouldn't charge someone and would hand it off to the overlapping investigation.

The counterintelligence investigation is probably still ongoing because Trump and some of his people are still communicating with the Russians. So if it's not over, they won't be charged which means we won't get those answers before the 2020 election. This allows Trump, repubs and Fox "News" to continue the witch hunt narrative.

You just know that they're going to say "well Mueller is done so anything else that happens is pure partisan politics on the part of the Democrats." Since no one new is getting indicted with this report, nothing is going to change anyone's mind. That's what's so frustrating.

by Anonymousreply 137March 23, 2019 3:55 AM

I've said before people shouldn't rely too much on Mueller and the report to get rid of Cheeto. This should be a call to mobilize the Dems to vote their asses off in 2020, and get as much Independents on our side. Let's rid the government of that stench.

by Anonymousreply 138March 23, 2019 4:17 AM

Mueller was important when the Dems didn't control any part of the government. He kept the heat on Trump and his cronies, and he did destroy a whole bunch of the cronies. Now with the Dem controlling the House, they can torch Trump directly. Trump is just getting out of the frying pan straight into the fire.

by Anonymousreply 139March 23, 2019 4:22 AM

It's not any lack of substance that may be a problem with the report, especially after Barr gets through editing it. It's not the lack of indictments because we already know about the state charges that will be coming down. It's the spin we know is coming and the fact that the media is going to be slurping it up like thirst-ridden dogs.

So many loose ends!

by Anonymousreply 151March 23, 2019 6:04 AM

Company A is Deutschebank in Germany, R151.

Trump is Individual 1.

Deutschebank was implicated with the Trump campaign six days ago.

Half of what Cohen was quizzed about in Congress was redacted two weeks ago due to ongoing investigations.

Trump had his greatest temper tantrum ever four days ago, resulting in a tweetstorm.

I don’t think it’s over yet by a long shot.

by Anonymousreply 152March 23, 2019 6:14 AM

Trump is ominously silent and that’s a sign that the Mueller report contains something DAMNING.

Moreover, as someone pointed out on Twitter, if it was good news for Trump, the WH would have already leaked the wider sentiments behind the report. Instead Trump has temper tantrums and then went deathly silent, flitting off to Florida.
Erin Conroy @chargrille You guys I just had my first lucid calming thought about all this. You KNOW that if this report was in any way positive for Trump that it would have already been leaked by Barr & (Etc.)

I would recommend everyone in this thread read John Dean’s Twitter if you want to calm down a bit. The shitstorm that takes out Trump the Vile is on its way.

by Anonymousreply 153March 23, 2019 6:41 AM

Now the Dems need to concentrate their efforts on gaining a critical majority in the Senate, because in large part it's going to be up to Congress to actually *do* something about what's been uncovered. I concur with R132 that it was never possible for Mueller to drag Trump out of the White House, and much the same goes for Trump's nepotistic appendages. The Mueller investigation had to stop short of taking any positive action against Don Jr, Ivanka, and son-in-law Jared. Can any of you just [italic]imagine[/italic] what the Cheeto would have done, had any part of the investigation touched his family members? If anyone has worries that he might try to become 'President-for-life,' indicting his kids might well have precipitated the crisis that led to it, since he would probably have declared emergency martial law, and begun rounding up and imprisoning members of the Justice Dept, the FBI, Congress, and the media - anyone who doesn't support the Trumptocracy. Of course they need to be investigated, questioned, and criminally indicted, but doing so will have to be done very carefully, in stages, like disarming a bomb - preferably when his term is nearly up, and his power is waning.

Something like that crisis may yet come when and if he's voted out in 2020, but we'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it.

CNN is reporting tonight that the White House is “celebrating quietly” and touting a big win after Robert Mueller officially submitted his report to Attorney General Bill Barr.

ABC News reported earlier that the initial reaction from President Donald Trump is that he’s “glad it’s over.”

Tonight CNN senior White House correspondent Pamela Brown told Anderson Cooper White House officials are “viewing this as a win” because there are no more indictments and that there have been no direct accusations of collusion, not to mention how the investigation ended without Mueller directly interviewing the president.

Jim Acosta, meanwhile, reported that the White House is “celebrating quietly” and with “a fair amount of glee.”

He said one Trump campaign advisor told him “this was a great day for America, and we won.”

by Anonymousreply 158March 23, 2019 7:32 AM

As soon as William Barr was appointed to the Justice Dept, Trumptard and former Brooks Bros rioter Matt Schlapp tweeted that "Mueller will be gone soon." There's still hope for justice with SDNY. If Dems are caving, or if our lawmakers are covering anything up, then there will still be anarchy and chaos since people will begin to think if Dump can get off that easy, so should I.

by Anonymousreply 170March 23, 2019 9:08 AM

Trump not being interviewed by Mueller is not a by the books move. That's preferential treatment which IMHO a common crook like Trump doesn't deserve. But since he's Republican and backed by the GOP ...

by Anonymousreply 171March 23, 2019 9:11 AM

I was afraid after all the "Don't expect too much from Mueller" quotes on Thursday. If the SDNY doesn't go after tRumpturd, all is lost. America, as we previously knew it will have ceased to be if we have another sham election with the crime family "winning by a landslide", as one headline prediction declared on Friday.

by Anonymousreply 172March 23, 2019 9:45 AM

Eric Swalwell said on Bill Maher that Mueller will be summoned to testify before Congress.

by Anonymousreply 173March 23, 2019 10:02 AM

by Anonymousreply 174March 23, 2019 10:05 AM

Exactly, R174.

If it were even marginally good for Trump he would be crowing all over the place.

by Anonymousreply 175March 23, 2019 10:09 AM

I hope the report is made public today to end the speculation from the news media about what's in it.

by Anonymousreply 176March 23, 2019 10:18 AM

If the White House is celebrating its because they know they’re screwed and are deflecting the criminal narrative. Of course the press is falling for it.

by Anonymousreply 177March 23, 2019 10:23 AM

What will we do ? Where will we go ?

by Anonymousreply 178March 23, 2019 10:29 AM

by Anonymousreply 179March 23, 2019 10:31 AM

Jared and Ivanka, like big daddy, his little toadie Roger Stone, and rapist scumbag Julian Assange are refusing to give any records/information/cooperation to any House investigation. How will the impasse be breached? WILL the impasse be breached?

by Anonymousreply 180March 23, 2019 10:39 AM

I am so fucking disgusted that Mueller has closed up shop without bringing indictments for crimes we KNOW have been committed by this family I feel physically sick. I don't give a fuck if further action will be taken by others (which we don't even know will happen), but the optics of this are terrible and Mueller owed the American people a better outcome. As things stand, there's no reason for anyone involved with all the shit that's gone down to think there's any reason not to act exactly the same in the future.

And what about all the loose ends? Why the hell was Flynn cut the deal of the century? What did he tell Mueller that was so damned important considering no one seems to have been charged based on his evidence? And that's just for starters. Even Seth Abramson tweeted he was "at a loss" regarding all the loose ends. For the DoJ to be briefing that there are to be no further indictments recommended by Mueller's report is a victory for Trump and everyone associated with him and his criminality. The whole situation is beyond sickening. This outcome undermines the very fabric of American society.

by Anonymousreply 181March 23, 2019 10:58 AM
If there is one thing that can be said positively about the odious Tucker Carlson, is that he has people on his show that are allowed to present counter narratives that are unpopular.

Bitch Please, Why is Tucker's publicist allowed to post here? If you have ever watched that show, its obvious he sets up every liberal guest with some stray comment taken out of context years ago then harps on it no matter how irrelevant. He talks OVER them to win the argument, there is no honest counter narrative. He's a hack, he never actually discusses real issues in real time. He has no actual talent, it all a fake setup by his staff. You watch the show once, you get his shtick right a way. That's why he was fired several time from TV. Even Morning Joe had to fire his ass years ago.

by Anonymousreply 182March 23, 2019 11:01 AM

Mueller never even talked to Don Jr. Mueller did not even talk to Jared as far as I know and they were both at the June 16th meeting. Mueller did not care to talk to these sleaze bags. We have been fucked in every hole available.

Trump was named as a co-conspiriter and Mueller completely ignored that. Trump works for Putin. Mueller is a lowlife ego driven creep who cares more about his reputation, then he cares about our country.

by Anonymousreply 183March 23, 2019 11:33 AM

Relax ladies, Mueller handed off Trump crimes evidence to other agencies including the SDNY. This is not over by a long shot.

by Anonymousreply 184March 23, 2019 11:36 AM

We should just go have a bloody battle in Washington. We should not stand for this. If I drive to Palm Beach today, would there be protesters?

by Anonymousreply 185March 23, 2019 11:38 AM

There was no reason at all that he could not indict Don Junior. That was a complete slap in our face. Mueller sees that Trump is a completely disgusting, traitor to our country and he lets it go! Mueller is a bucket of shit but he made this horrible desicion and he needs to be held accountable.

by Anonymousreply 186March 23, 2019 11:43 AM

R152, I don't think Deutschebank is Company A because Company A is a government entity. From what I have researched, DB is not part of the German government. I initially thought it was either DB or The Bank of Cyprus, but apparently neither are government entities. I may well be wrong. I read somewhere that it could be The Bank of Kazakhstan, through which some connection to a Russian oligarch mentioned in the investgation.

by Anonymousreply 187March 23, 2019 11:55 AM

Just a short time ago, Mueller was thought to be heroic.

by Anonymousreply 188March 23, 2019 11:57 AM

lol, r132

What r96, r124 and r140 said.

Let's play Guess Who? Do you know who is feeling the most fucked, and not in a good way, that Mueller released this today?

Trump and his vile Trump Rabidians. If you think they're aren't shitting their pants that their Punching Bag, Robert Mueller and the Special Counsel Investigation is no longer around to use as a shiny object to command their Village of the Damned Moronic Minions, guess again.

They know that, now, all the public's attention can be on what an incompetent, bigoted, corrupt, self-dealing, asshole Trump is. Perhaps that hasn't even dawned on Trump yet, but his advisors who have an iota of sentiency perceive this.

by Anonymousreply 189March 23, 2019 11:58 AM

Deutsche Bank is owned by Russia and gives money to Trump because Putin has always told it too. Trump the traitor and Putin, run very deep, they are out to destroy America and apparently Mueller has sold out.

by Anonymousreply 190March 23, 2019 12:04 PM

Forgot to add at r189-

And recall that the general public has a perverse way of reacting to stuff like this as measured by polling. At being impeached, Bill Clinton's approval ratings went up and stayed there.

After this sinks in for a few days, Trump's approval ratings may go down.

by Anonymousreply 191March 23, 2019 12:10 PM

The Trump people all got away with murder. Lowlife Flynn will get no time at all and he is a huge criminal. Mueller should move out of the country, what a piece if shit.

Counterintelligence is the key.

Half of Mueller’s job (and likely half the report) is the results of what our we and our allies uncovered about the Trump Family via spycraft. As a practical matter it’s not publicly disclosable (Russia would love to know it’s adversaries’ methods) but it can point to avenues of attack. And, it certainly reveal Trump’s compromise and corruption. So, the report reveals through classified sources that the head of our government is bent on destroying it.

That’s what kept Barr up late last night.

I have an appointment to do my fucking taxes today. Agent Orange's 'tax cut for the 1%' is going to fuck me royally...I'm in no mood to pay ANYTHING to the crime family that has taken over the government. I feel like grabbing a damn pitchfork and torch and stomping gown to Mir-A-Lardo, and lighting that fucker up. Hopefully Lindsey would be fellating her 'dear leader' while (metaphorically speaking) Atlanta burns around her.

She was dead wrong on everything, but, she was tough, smart in marshalling her defense of Repugs and could be very witty. I wasn't alone in giving her my grudging respect.

Trumps been tweeting. You know what he has NOT tweeted about? Mueller.

by Anonymousreply 218March 23, 2019 1:16 PM

I don't see how Mueller can be done investigating Russian collusion without ever dragging Donald Jr, Jared or Brad Parscale in front of a grand jury, let alone ever even interviewing any of them. I had felt the reason Mueller hadn't done so was because they were targets of the investigation, but clearly they weren't.

by Anonymousreply 219March 23, 2019 1:17 PM

Yes Della but I firmly expect to be banned again for the heresy of not supporting Hillary (who never supported gay rights until polls forced her to.)

by Anonymousreply 220March 23, 2019 1:17 PM

The bottom line is that we don’t know anything right now. Trump and his family were not lead out of the WH in handcuffs, but that doesn’t mean much right now. We don’t know what’s in the report and there’s no reason to feel defeated.

by Anonymousreply 221March 23, 2019 1:18 PM

R218, none of those Russians are tied to any U.S. citizen, let alone to Trump.

by Anonymousreply 222March 23, 2019 1:19 PM

For the millionth time Mueller does NOT have to interview Trump in order to finish his report. Is it ideal? Of course, but he can finish is report (and obviously did) without interviewing Trump in person.

Remember that stupid "homework" he gave Trump or Trump's lawyers a few months ago? That took the place of a face to face interview with Mueller.

by Anonymousreply 223March 23, 2019 1:21 PM

Ok, r210, I'll consider your post, and perhaps, given the lower than sub-standard right wing trolling now, I remember her with rose-colored glasses.

Anyway, as I said in the previous thread, I knew ( and I'm sure millions of others, here at the DL and elsewhere did too) that as soon as Mueller was handing off info to the SDNY and that the state of New York had access to it, that my expectations of the Mueller report should be moderated and tempered.

by Anonymousreply 224March 23, 2019 1:22 PM

Given that the Justice Department supposedly has rules against indicting a sitting president and there are questions about whether or not it's even legal to do it why are people going around saying that because Mueller has announced there will be no further indictments that means Trump's in the clear?

by Anonymousreply 225March 23, 2019 1:26 PM

And so was that fucker Lindsey Graham.

by Anonymousreply 229March 23, 2019 1:57 PM

Remember the elections last November? Early returns made it seem like the Dems had underperformed but gradually with all the late counts and recounts, it was obvious that it was a big defeat for Trump. I m hoping it's something similar here, where he calls Junior all kinds of stupid, stuff like that, things that stop just short of an indictment. According to a former fed prosecutor on MSNBC last night, feds won't go to trial unless there's a 95% chance of conviction. Being so terminally stupid that you don't realise you're a tool of the Russians apparently is not against the law.

by Anonymousreply 235March 23, 2019 2:44 PM

Della, I agree with you about the tempered expectations and why. It's too bad that the Mueller Report has been so hyped up in so many places that nothing less than a mass arrest of the entire family would suffice as a conclusion. My first reaction at the "no further indictments" was that we could get something along the lines of the report on Hillary's email server with "you're bad, but there's not enough evidence to indict" language, even though the issues here are infinitely greater in scope.

My fear about 2020 is that the critical independent voters who turned away from Trump in 2018 - in no small part due to the cloud cast by this investigation - will now accept the "witch hunt" claims and simply tune out any further investigative findings by SNDY, the NY AG, and the House, and thus turn on the Democrats.

We'd better have a damn good candidate for 2020 who has broad appeal. If we don't get those independent voters, we'll definitely have Trump for 4 more years. Our base isn't enough by itself.

by Anonymousreply 242March 23, 2019 3:06 PM

I am keeping the faith. I believe in Bob Mueller and believe something damning is in that report. The contents have to be known to the President and his team of lawyers who traveled with him. I am sure the celebration spin is provided by Hannity. He and Gouliani have been spinning every crime the President and his family have committed thus far into a jay walk or a past due library book. Flynn, Gates, Cohen have been talking to Mueller for months. If there was nothing to see here why were so many pages of legal filings blacked out? Why not just put those out if there are no high crimes

by Anonymousreply 245March 23, 2019 3:08 PM

Why would Mueller indict Jared and Don jr if SDNY can get him on bigger charges? The Trump foundation, charity real estate business are all separate investigations. Did Mueller have the scope to indict if the Cohen raid turned up evidence of crimes dealing with the Trump entities?

by Anonymousreply 265March 23, 2019 3:49 PM

by Anonymousreply 266March 23, 2019 3:57 PM

Imagine you are Barr.

You have just received a report, largely based on corroborated, clandestine information from our intelligence sources and those of our allies, indicating that our president is either beholden or in bed with our adversaries.

Mueller knew he couldn’t release the methods and sources in the report without setting back the IT community by decades, so he attempted to prove it in court using public sources/witnesses Unfortunately some of the critical sources (Manafort, Stone) were too frightened to tell the truth.

The President asks for a copy of the Report

You know he won’t read it; but you also know (from the report) he will likely leak it to Putin, Kim, MBS (through Jared), Giuliani and, probably, Netanyahu.

If you reveal all that’s in it, you’ll do what Mueller tried to avoid. If you don’t give it to the President, he’ll fire you.

What would you do?

by Anonymousreply 267March 23, 2019 4:03 PM

Trump is too quiet. What's that fat fuck up to?

by Anonymousreply 268March 23, 2019 4:07 PM

Donald Trump knew about the meeting with the Russian emissaries in June '16. He's a control freak and he would know what was going on, especially in his own building. Don Jr. called a blocked number right after the meeting, and Trump is known to use a blocked number. He knew about the meeting with a hostile foreign power- possible even arranged it- and then, like Junior, he lied about it.

Nothing will ever change this.

by Anonymousreply 269March 23, 2019 4:11 PM

R269, I believe it’s already been proven that the blocked number was someone else and not Trump.

Nothing has leaked? The summary will be a few bullets favorable to Trump.

by Anonymousreply 273March 23, 2019 4:23 PM

We need whistleblowers to tell on Trump for getting an early copy of the report — use that to claim the WH and Barr changed the report. Fight fire with Fire.

I'm most curious and eager to see how Speaker Pelosi moves, or doesn't move, on this. Her recent "He's not worth it" resonates.

"I believe it’s already been proven that the blocked number was someone else and not Trump"

So. Even if that call wasn't to Daddy, do you think a meeting in his building between his son/son-in-law/campaign manager/etc. and emissaries from Russia... would somehow escape his notice? Besides, there had to be a paper trail: sign-ins in the lobby; garage receipts; donuts 'n coffee.

He knew. And he lied that he didn't know.

CNN: Barr to hold conference call with House Democrats at 3 p.m. EST

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 278March 23, 2019 4:41 PM

I have a bad feeling about Barr. He will say there was not enough evidence to charge the President with collusion, and all other findings are confidential.

by Anonymousreply 279March 23, 2019 4:44 PM

That phone number belonged to a Mr. Ronald K. Dump, of Sheboygan. NO COLLUSION!

by Anonymousreply 280March 23, 2019 5:07 PM

I posted this in another thread and wanted to share it again.

The bottom line is that repukes will defend this fake prez to the bitter end. It doesn't matter to them if he is an odious fool. He is giving them what they want.

1. Smaller government. By leaving slots unfilled, filling others with incompetents and spies, and letting go experienced scientists and the like, he is destroying government from within. Yeah, short term red meat for the base, but long term negative consequences for the majority of us. Less research, less competitive innovation, and we fall farther behind in expertise and excellence.

2. Lower taxes and big cuts for the wealthy, rich political allies and cronies. Good news for them, bad news for the deficit and the rest of us who will suffer from lack of infrastructure and services.

3. Elimination or rights for women, LGBT, and communities of color deemed inferior by the racist, sexist, white supremacist in the White House and his cruel cronies.

4. Threaten and bully our allies while elevating dictators and other criminals like Netanyahu. Cater to ignorant deplorables and demonize liberals. The deplorables love to bully a scapegoat and they will hate whoever trump & allies tell them to hate. They will happily take to the streets with their guns when directed.

5. Their guns are safe with him. Their hypocritical pro-life stance is safe with him. Their hate and rage is safe with him.

It's not likely the senate would vote to impeach no matter what the Mueller Report says. They will stick with him because he protects their selfish, hateful interests. They are him, no different, just not coated in orange stain.

We are well on our way to being a third world country led by a cruel dictator who is supported by an army of ginned up fools. We can't count on the 2020 elections to stop him if they are rigged again.

The criminal investigations in the various courts must succeed, and in spite of our fears, every last person of conscience needs to vote. There are still more of us then the brainwashed cult.

by Anonymousreply 281March 23, 2019 5:10 PM

R281 again, and let's not forget stacking the courts with biased right-wingers. They will not give that up easily. Ruin it for the majority for another generation. These fucks are the devil.

by Anonymousreply 282March 23, 2019 5:12 PM

3PM already? Must be a short report if Barr read it in less than 24 hours.

by Anonymousreply 283March 23, 2019 5:12 PM

There's a lot to what you write ,r281.

Still, I do take the elections that the Dems have won since Traitor Tot has been in office as an optimistic harbinger. I see where Kamala Harris is drawing a big interracial crowd right now in Houston.

by Anonymousreply 284March 23, 2019 5:19 PM

I’ve heard that the report is hundreds of pages long, that would be in keeping with Mueller’s typical style.

R277, I never said Dump didn’t know or that he didn’t lie — of COURSE he knew. I think most likely Trump had a go-between for that call, meaning Junior was relaying info on the phone and then that person somehow relayed the info to Dump. But the original suspicion that Trump was on the phone has been disproven.

by Anonymousreply 285March 23, 2019 5:22 PM

So a hoax that has wasted untold millions of tax money.

by Anonymousreply 286March 23, 2019 5:25 PM

How does Double Jeopardy work- if Mueller indicted Jared, Don Jr and/or Ivanka, clearly Trump would pardon them. Would the SDNY still be able to charge them on the same crimes? I'm thinking not. So is this why Mueller didn't indict and instead, farmed out evidence to the SDNY?

by Anonymousreply 287March 23, 2019 5:27 PM

Twitter is abuzz that the Repugs are preparing an offensive to the Mueller Report. That would appear that the Mueller Report is troubling for Trump.

by Anonymousreply 288March 23, 2019 5:28 PM

I have to think Trump et al broke NY state laws. Those can’t be pardoned, right?

by Anonymousreply 289March 23, 2019 5:30 PM

R269, how does one call a blocked number?

by Anonymousreply 290March 23, 2019 5:30 PM

Barr to have a Conference call with the Democrats at 3PM.

by Anonymousreply 291March 23, 2019 5:31 PM

Mar-a-Lago and golfing will have the Le Sénatrice sashaying with a bit of discomfort next week, but still with a twinkle in her eyes, more teeth displayed in her smile, and glowing like a freshly opened magnolia flower.

by Anonymousreply 292March 23, 2019 5:32 PM

Why is Barr talking to Democrats first?

by Anonymousreply 293March 23, 2019 5:33 PM

"Despair" and "deza trolls" are working this weekend.

We're not supposed to know or remember that multiple investigations are going on,

we're to forget Mueller helped bring down mobster John Gotti, that Financial Crimes Enforcement Network exists,

that there's a difference between submitting a report to one's superior and releasing it to the public.

We're supposed to believe that Mueller and his wide, experienced legal and investigative team know less than anonymous bleaters who chose just this weekend to emerge on this board and elsewhere.

If you have no evidence to back up your conjectures, your input has no substance.

by Anonymousreply 294March 23, 2019 5:33 PM

No, those cannot be, r289, unless the Governor has that power under the NY State Constitution.

The President's Pardon Power applies only to crimes adjudicated in US Federal Courts.

by Anonymousreply 295March 23, 2019 5:33 PM

This is like the the Nixon high-wire act in those months before the tapes came out.

Lordy, let’s hope there are tapes.

by Anonymousreply 296March 23, 2019 5:35 PM

Breaking: Barr will not be reporting Mueller findingvto Congress today via Twitter.

by Anonymousreply 297March 23, 2019 5:35 PM

No need to create thread 91 on this since this is over with now.

by Anonymousreply 298March 23, 2019 5:36 PM

Didn’t Rudy let it slip there were tapes?

There have been a couple of reports that suspect as much, and then the Rudy slip about hear the tapes.

by Anonymousreply 299March 23, 2019 5:36 PM
Why is Barr talking to Democrats first?

I imagine the request came from the Democrats, not Barr. They want the report released and they're stating their position. If the ask is denied, it becomes a demand. If the demand is denied, the subpoenas come out.

I hope half of you never ever sit on a jury. you have already made up your minds that we are doomed and you haven't heard the report.

Trump uses Twitter as a release mechanism. Today he is celebrating because he thinks all is right with world and doesn't know it is going to come crashing down on him. This is why he hasn't tweeted yet. And his lawyers probably told him not to until after they had read the report.

by Anonymousreply 304March 23, 2019 5:41 PM

It’s just not possible that only person in the free world gets to read the report and then decide what gets released. For that man would be king.. no, emperor of the universe.

This is an OUTRAGE to think that any one man should have that much power.

After this fiasco of a presidency a lot of laws will be changed so this will never happen again.

by Anonymousreply 307March 23, 2019 5:46 PM

These republican thugs do not own the report or the government or its citizens. We are a free democracy and we deserve the right to see the full report. How do we know if it’s not been edited or destroyed or god knows what else.

The gang of 8 at the rock bottom least should be given full unredacted copies.

What, are we a bunch of slaves now who will be told what scraps we are going to get? People died gruesome deaths for the freedoms in this country and may the NEVER be stripped from us, or those deaths will have been in vain.

by Anonymousreply 308March 23, 2019 5:48 PM

Here is the summary:

No collusion.

No obstruction of justice.

No collusion.

Report is sealed due to executive privilege.

I heard this morning that there are parts that would be illegal to tell the public. If there are any suggestions of grand jury indictments they can't tell us. Also classified stuff they can't tell us. I'll be all right with it as long as the Democrats are shown everything and we get what we are allowed

by Anonymousreply 315March 23, 2019 5:51 PM

How can Americans sit by and let one person make this decision for the entire free world.

One man has the fate of 9 billion others in his hands. How is this justice?

There is no court. No jury. No witnesses.

Just one lone mortal in his appointed office, appointed by the accused.

HOW CAN THIS STAND?

by Anonymousreply 316March 23, 2019 5:52 PM

If I can just hear Adam Schiff say that, after Barr briefs them, there is there, there, I will be happy. The death of the Trump Crime Family by a thousand cuts can continue up until the election.

by Anonymousreply 317March 23, 2019 5:53 PM

Every person in this country needs to wake up and take action. Every citizen must demand to see this report. Even his supporters need to demand to see it. Don’t they want the truth?

How about the people who don’t think anything is there. Don’t they want to prove it?

Both sides can agree that the report MUST be released to the public.

by Anonymousreply 318March 23, 2019 5:55 PM

This would be the first report of its kind to be kept completely concealed from the public. No one person owns the report, it’s property of the American people.

WHAT IS THIS, CHINA?

by Anonymousreply 319March 23, 2019 5:56 PM

Wasn’t the Starr report published in the NYT?

by Anonymousreply 320March 23, 2019 5:56 PM

Yes you can get it on an Ebook for crying out loud.

Has the U.S. become a gloomy despot with oppresive government or what? It’s like we’re so focused on the minute that we failed to realized it’s already here. No other time in history could they get away with such tyranny.

by Anonymousreply 321March 23, 2019 5:59 PM

For all we know they could be monkeying around with the report as we speak. It’s wouldn’t be the first time the repugs pulled some shenanigans.

These are the same weasels that have been throwing everything but the kitchen sink at these investigations.

Now we’re supposed to believe that they aren’t doing everything to bury it? This is why we need an immediate intervention from the gang of 8. Seems like an emergency to me.

What’s to say they didn’t chuck Muellers report into the incinerator and make up one of their own?

by Anonymousreply 322March 23, 2019 6:03 PM

The Republican talking points are already “we won” and “lock her up” (Hillary). It’s very embarrassing to be an American now.

by Anonymousreply 323March 23, 2019 6:05 PM

Wait..doesn’t congress oversee the Justice Dept?

Why does it seem like it’s they other way around?

by Anonymousreply 324March 23, 2019 6:06 PM

Quite honestly, assuming there's anything in the report that makes this administration look really bad, it's better this gets dragged out for as long as possible and into the next election cycle. The fresher any damaging info there is in the minds of voters, the better it will be for Democrats next November.

by Anonymousreply 325March 23, 2019 6:08 PM

I'm puzzled why Barr, in the first place in his letter, announced that basically, at the speed of light, he'd have a report to Congress this weekend.

Unless, of course, he's seen drafts of the report since his appointment.

by Anonymousreply 326March 23, 2019 6:10 PM

Miss Linsey leading a "Lock 'er up" chant is practically begging for a mighty comeuppance!

by Anonymousreply 327March 23, 2019 6:10 PM

Right, or already had his “exonerated” summary drafted.

by Anonymousreply 328March 23, 2019 6:11 PM

I hope- at the very least- that Trump's shitty behavior (the firings, accusations, insults, threats and the lies...) about the investigation for 2+ years will influence those voters who were on the fence about him in 2016. The ones who thought he'd "get more Presidential" after elected. The Deplorables who voted for the draft dodger with their noses plugged, thinking he was going to bring back those $40/hr. factory jobs grandpa told them about. The voters who thought he was going to use his financial genius to make gold coins rain down from Heaven.

That may be the most we get out of The Mueller Report: just enough votes to kick him out of the White House.

Can’t the House just call Mueller in and have him spill the entire report?

by Anonymousreply 338March 23, 2019 6:52 PM

Sho what dosh the report shay?

by Anonymousreply 339March 23, 2019 6:53 PM

I don’t think Russia Rump is guaranteed anything.

by Anonymousreply 340March 23, 2019 6:56 PM

I've watched Trump's pressers with various world leaders when they visited him in the white house and elsewhere. They are all expecting him to be the next president.

by Anonymousreply 341March 23, 2019 6:58 PM

the problem is with the moderates who only casually follow the news. The media has hyped up the Mueller report as the final word and news of no further indictments will mean to most casual news viewers that this is all over. Don't be shocked if Trump's approval rating goes up a few points a week or 2 from now.

Until 1 of the other investigations leads to an indictment of Don Jr, Ivanka and Jared, things will stay the same.

Even if there's all kinds of damaging info on Trump in the report and we get access to some of it, the narrative that will be pushed by some is "well nothing was criminal and improper is acceptable". The only outrage that would emerge is if Mueller indicates he would have indicted Trump had the DOJ rule not been that we don't indict sitting Presidents.

by Anonymousreply 342March 23, 2019 7:00 PM

R341 They all do that... diplomacy = kissing ass to the current power that be.

by Anonymousreply 343March 23, 2019 7:00 PM

They've already said collusion is not a crime. They said it. So there is collusion but they will spin it.

Also, be calm and wait for the details. The House Dems will take care of us. All the trolls gloating is really funny. And yes, you are trolls because nothing has been released.

by Anonymousreply 344March 23, 2019 7:03 PM

What a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!

by Anonymousreply 345March 23, 2019 7:04 PM

If Mueller's report doesn't get to the bottom of all the concerted lying about Russia/Putin from Trump down to the "coffee boy" of his campaign, he didn't really do his job thoroughly enough in my opinion. If Mueller doesn't get the job done, then the Dem House will have to carry the torch forward.

by Anonymousreply 346March 23, 2019 7:06 PM

Coffee Boy was a Russian asset and traitor who got 2 weeks in the jug, and he had the audacity to bitch about even that sentence.

Mueller and his team went way too easy on these scumbags.

by Anonymousreply 347March 23, 2019 7:09 PM

any answers Mueller wasn't able to get to are likely due to some of the participants being Russians whom he obviously can't speak to as we have no extradition treaty with Russia and the unwillingness of Manafort to cooperate

Also the one smart thing Trump did is to not text or email as he knows that would have incriminated him. The question is whether everyone else around him texted and emailed everything (beyond Don Jr's Trump Tower meeting fiasco)

by Anonymousreply 348March 23, 2019 7:11 PM
I've watched Trump's pressers with various world leaders when they visited him in the white house and elsewhere. They are all expecting him to be the next president.

Nonsense. They know he's an unmitigated disaster and a complete buffoon who is easily manipulated. Most of them -- except for dictators like Putin and Kim -- hope that he is gone as soon as possible.

by Anonymousreply 354March 23, 2019 8:12 PM

R351 but the concern with that is what if the FBI investigation keeps going until the end of Trump's time in office? that means we wouldn't find out anything before the 2020 election as DOJ policy is to not comment on ongoing investigations (except Comey about Hillary's emails).

by Anonymousreply 355March 23, 2019 8:20 PM

All the trolls flooding here tells me one thing.... they're still worried about something.

by Anonymousreply 356March 23, 2019 8:26 PM

This report must be mammoth

by Anonymousreply 357March 23, 2019 8:34 PM

Trumps silence is the biggest indicator that something isnt right......there is no way he hasnt been briefed on the report....if he was innocent he would be screaming it from the rooftops.....and there is no way he would keep his mouth shut regardless of the findings....he doesnt have that kind of self control.

by Anonymousreply 358March 23, 2019 8:40 PM

Is there a reason why the report hasn't been released yet?

by Anonymousreply 359March 23, 2019 8:40 PM

Some in the media are just too fucking stupid. Many of them are already throwing their hands up saying there's nothing there when they have seen one fucking thing from the report. WE KNOW from what has already come out via indictments and such that this "president" is the most vile, corrupt piece of shit EVER to occupy the WH by a country mile. This report is not going to give him exoneration except perhaps not having a smoking gun with Russian collusion but what will he do when the report says Russia attacked our voting systems and rigged the election? Go let Vlad tea bag him some more?

by Anonymousreply 360March 23, 2019 8:44 PM

Also, there are tons of on-going investigations. There may be and likely are counter-intel operations happening that will prove he is a Russian asset.

At the end of the day, this sorry excuse for a human being is the most contemptible garbage dump we've ever had in the WH.

by Anonymousreply 361March 23, 2019 8:48 PM
They've already said collusion is not a crime. They said it. So there is collusion but they will spin it.

Collusion isn't a legal term, so technically it isn't a crime. The crime would be conspiracy.

by Anonymousreply 362March 23, 2019 8:48 PM

I still think Mueller wasn't allowed to finish the report on his timeline. Barr interfered.

I mean, what exactly were all of those people given immunity or reduced sentences for if their cooperation lead to nothing at all? As it stands now, it would make Manafort the number one target of this entire investigation and we know that's not the case. Yeah, a lot was passed off to the states, especially New York, but there is no way the entire federal part had Manafort's prosecution as pretty much its sole outcome.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 364March 23, 2019 8:54 PM

Good point, r363. Any cooperation those that were granted immunity have given won't mean shit unless the DOJ decides to use their info to indict others.

by Anonymousreply 365March 23, 2019 8:56 PM

Someone said they think Trump may have known what was coming and why he was so unhinged this week threatening that people would NOT stand for Mueller to talk down about their President.

by Anonymousreply 366March 23, 2019 8:58 PM

And you don't give immunity to obvious scum unless you are getting something huge for it.

by Anonymousreply 367March 23, 2019 8:59 PM

I pray there is plenty for indictments but he was restrained by current DOJ policy to not indict a sitting president. Trump’s boast that the people will not stand for it is hilarious. Most people disapprove of him.

by Anonymousreply 368March 23, 2019 9:03 PM

Im hoping that Mueller found that the investigation encompassed so many high ranking officials....Pres, VP, cabinet members, aides and children, that he decided it was a national security issue and that the DOJ needs to be the one to reign it in via prosecutions. That would explain the abrupt end with no interviews for most of the people involved.

by Anonymousreply 369March 23, 2019 9:15 PM

I just had some kind of weird flashforward, R369, something psychic or something that felt like deja vu— I think you’re right. I don’t know how I know but I think that’s how it’s going to play out.

by Anonymousreply 370March 23, 2019 9:23 PM

R369 - Hopefully the RNC gets wrapped up in it as well. Plus Ryan and La Senatrice.

by Anonymousreply 371March 23, 2019 9:25 PM

The Report doesn't mean shit. They also wrote a report after JFK was killed. That was utter shit.

by Anonymousreply 372March 23, 2019 9:40 PM

I can't help but think of Rosenstein bringing those hundreds of prosecutors to D.C. Maybe r369 is on to something.

by Anonymousreply 373March 23, 2019 9:40 PM

I think something is wrong here. It's like election night. It doesn't feel right. We know that Mueller had prepared to be fired by placing many of the indictments in other jurisdictions as a means of protecting the investigation. He doesn't do that if there is nothing to be protected. I'm wondering if Barr put major pressure on him to finish. There are too many outstanding issues for him to be done. Roger Stone, Company A, Flynn, Andrew Miller for refusing to appear to grand jury are all in progress. I agree with R363 you don't give Flynn the type of deal he got because he's a good guy. He's a nasty piece of work. The judge basically accused him of treason. Maybe this is why so many in congress are saying there are more indictments to come. Let's see how Barr handles this. I wonder who at DOJ has access to report. Was it transmitted to Barr alone and he is keeping it locked up. Did Rosenstein receive a copy? I can see a scenario where Barr has the only copy and issues a report saying the SC did not indict the president and that all other aspects of the report cannot be seen due to national security or because additional "investigations are underway." Those investigations could drag out for years - at least until after 2020.

by Anonymousreply 374March 23, 2019 9:49 PM

Why is everyone worried that the report will be scrubbed or burned? All the Democrats have to do - and they've already said they will- is call on Mueller to testify. And couldn't he do 2 hearings? A public hearing...along with a closed door hearing so that the House can hear all of the classified information that Mueller can't spill in a public hearing.

by Anonymousreply 375March 23, 2019 10:17 PM

I hope Mueller kept his own copy of the report.

He doesn't do that if there is nothing to be protected. I'm wondering if Barr put major pressure on him to finish.

They could easily find out if Barr put pressure on him to finish so I'm not sure that's the case.

As for the lack of further indictments from Muller, it's my hope that he simply sent passed things off to other state AGs to make sure that the President couldn't pardon his closest [family] people.

Either way we don't know what's in the report at the moment so I think it's too soon to panic.

DING, DING, DING!!! Jesus, you people need to become Global Thinkers.

I saw a state prosecutor say today that he had been a prosecutor for 10 years and thought he knew all there was to know and thought he was really good Until he worked with Mueller. He said he had never seen anyone that was so thorough. Of all the people involved in the investigation including those being investigated, Mueller is the only one that no one has anything bad to say about him. Wait For The Report

Miss Lindz & Trey Gowdy apparently went to Mar-a-Lago together. Gowdy is not in Congress anymore. He's a former prosecutor. Maybe he was advising Trump. Lindz & Trey are both from the S. Carolina upstate area. Hope she tipped the bus boys well.

For the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, to deliver a Hillary hate speech, then spurring "lock her up" chant is disgusting. Democrats in the Senate should inmediately sign a letter to be sent to McConnell demanding that Lindz be removed from chairing the committee. It won't happen, but shame on her. She can't be ethical and fair enough for handling the role.
I can't help but think of Rosenstein bringing those hundreds of prosecutors to D.C. Maybe [R369] is on to something.

What happened with all of them? Were they even mentioned again over the last year or so?

If Mueller is called before Congress, I fully expect that he will not answer the questions on people who were not indicted. It's the practice of prosecutors to not discuss the cases they do not prosecute because the lack of indictment means there wasn't enough evidence to charge, therefore, in the prosecutor's eyes, that person is just a citizen who may be suspected of something but the evidence did not reach the level of prosecution. One of the prosecutors talked about this in reference to some other case on one of the news shows.

In other words, it's possible that they could call Mueller before Congress and not get anything more than exactly what is written in the report.

by Anonymousreply 429March 24, 2019 4:52 AM

Here are the favorite villains on Fox that hosts and commentators passionately insult and blame to rile up their viewers endlessly:

Obama (though he's taken a back seat in the last year), is blamed for ruining everything especially the economy, liar, targets conservatives

Hillary (and once in a while Bill) is the epitome of evil in their eyes. The most corrupt woman ever who repeatedly has broken the law and escaped punishment

Pelosi (their #1 now, they like to use both current issues and ones in the past when she was also Speaker)

Schiff (their #2 now, he is constantly referred to as a liar and highly partisan)

Ocasio-Cortez (woman, Hispanic and they're labeling her as a super socialist who wants to make this country like Venezuela)

Omar (woman,, black, Muslim) is used to show the left has lost their minds and is moving away from true American values

Comey for "letting Hillary off the hook", investigating Trump, speaking out about Trump after his firing, is also discredited as a complete liar and should be locked up

Waters (woman, Black and very outspoken against Trump). She is labeled as corrupt, stupid and highly partisan

Lynch (woman, Black and Obama's AG). She is labeled as incompetent and a liar, should be locked up as well

Rice (woman, Black and again part of Obama's administration). She is also labeled as a liar, incompetent and should be locked up

Holder (Black, Obama's former AG) is described as a liar and highly partisan, should be locked up. NEVER FORGET FAST & FURIOUS!1!1!1!

Warren (woman) she is considered to be that annoying, nagging liberal woman who wants to turn everything upside down + Pocahontas!!!!

Jussie Smollett is their new pop culture person to follow. He is their proof that all liberals lie and plot against innocent, angelic white, conservative, xtians
This was way too abrupt. I’m not buying that it had run it’s natural course. Stone is still hanging out there. So is Flynn? He just asked the courts for an extension for something last week. They pulled the plug early.

This, in all likelihood. It must have been incensing for Mueller and his team to have been coerced into 'submitting' the report before it was completed.

(Imagine an author or filmmaker bullied into releasing a magnum opus before he/she had finished to their professional satisfaction.)

Thus Mueller and his team's integrity and scrupulousness have been compromised.

As against all that: such committed professionals, having invested big chunks of their lives on this crisis of corruption, are highly unlikely just to pack up and leave vital loose ends unexplored. That's not the way such minds work. There's a good chance all that remains will find its way into the public domain somehow.

Also: despite evidence of crowing about 'no indictments' - doubtless energised by the likely bullying of Mueller into 'completing', aka 'showing him who's boss' - the loud silence from Trump indicates that nonetheless there's more than enough in the report already to cause him significant damage.

by Anonymousreply 436March 24, 2019 7:51 AM

All Congress has to do a subpoena Mueller and ask him if he was forced or coerced to turn in his report before he felt it was complete. If his answer is yes, the shit will hit the fan. End of story.

And the Flynn and Stone story will come out soon enough.

by Anonymousreply 437March 24, 2019 10:04 AM
This, in all likelihood. It must have been incensing for Mueller and his team to have been coerced into 'submitting' the report before it was completed.

But didn't we give Mueller some sort of credit for being at least five steps ahead of his enemies, like Trump? Didn't we claim that Mueller has planned well ahead for Rosenstein getting fired and someone new putting in his place causing trouble for Mueller? And now it's like Mueller has been caught off guard and had to end early?

I think Mueller did plan ahead by handing some of the investigation over to others and follow those leads, he discovered, further.

I believe that the Mueller report is only one of the few things getting Trump and the GOP in trouble. The Steele Dossier got the ball rolling. And the Mueller report is only one of many avalanches that Trump will have to figth to not get buried in.

by Anonymousreply 438March 24, 2019 10:13 AM

by Anonymousreply 449March 24, 2019 2:43 PM

GOOD for Pelosi.

This indicates three important things:

1) There is something - if not multiple things - damning for Trump in the Mueller Report.

2. The GOP is trying desperately to cover up and obfuscate the elements that are damning.

3. The Democratic Party isn’t going to let the treasonous Trussia Party get away with their obfuscations.

by Anonymousreply 451March 24, 2019 2:48 PM
But didn't we give Mueller some sort of credit for being at least five steps ahead of his enemies, like Trump?

We did, and that's a fair point. Mueller will have the wry satisfaction that his Trump-safe stratagems were well-judged.

I suppose that I'm exercised by the (assumed) possibility that Mueller was indeed harassed into too-soon 'completion.' He above all knows the depth and breadth of corruption we infer, and knew he needed more time to follow the money. As did his would-be untouchable opponents.

Thus the very forces he's investigated so painstakingly pulled the plug. Because they could. Patriot and man of integrity Mueller is unlikely just to shrug and say, 'Them's the breaks.' Then again, of course he's effortlessly able to see a long game as against Trump's desperate daily patchwork.

No indictment due to technicalities regarding provable collusion, does not mean no collusion.

There's a part of me that thinks this whole situation is so deeply embarrassing and points to such terrible misdeeds that TPTB do not want the full story out there.

The U.S. has interfered in other countries' elections in the past. Our government may think that if we shine a bright light here against the Russians, some other government will do the same to us.

by Anonymousreply 486March 24, 2019 5:29 PM

The White House is a leaky as all get out. Whoever wrote the op ed will probably leak info and WH reaction pretty quickly

by Anonymousreply 487March 24, 2019 5:34 PM

You rang?

by Anonymousreply 488March 24, 2019 5:36 PM

I can fuck any and all info out of Kellyanne. My big fat cock always trumps Trump.

by Anonymousreply 489March 24, 2019 5:39 PM

I haven’t had time to go thru all the comments but don’t forget—No indictments were recommended in Ken Starr’s Investigation either that led to impeachment. All his report contained was a laying out of the facts. No recommendations, nothing. That is what this report will be.

by Anonymousreply 490March 24, 2019 5:48 PM

Then why are Democrats freaking out?

by Anonymousreply 491March 24, 2019 5:56 PM

Because they know how shady and corrupt the repugs are.

They are not to be trusted. No better than common thieves.

by Anonymousreply 492March 24, 2019 5:59 PM

I'm actually more inclined to believe that Rethugs are worried about something.

Something doesn't seem right if there was in fact nothing in Mueller's report.

Why the massive uptick in troll posts? We're not just talking a few more troll posts here and there, there's a surge of it. That usually only happens when they're trying to bury something, not when things look good for them.

Second, the fact that someone is working so hard to FF and grey this thread out and bury other legitimate threads tells me they want all discussion on the matter stopped. Almost as if they can shut the conversation down they can make people forget about it.

Again, why go through all that if the news is actually good for you?

by Anonymousreply 493March 24, 2019 6:01 PM

With all the speculation as to why Dotard hasn't tweeted...

Has anyone checked Diaper Junior's tweets?

I haven't bothered and won't, but someone should. If he's silent as well, it could be telling.

by Anonymousreply 494March 24, 2019 6:02 PM

So you're saying Mueller is corrupt R492?

by Anonymousreply 495March 24, 2019 6:03 PM

If the report exonerated Dump, he and all of the idiot leaders of the Republican Party would be crowing that fact. Instead they are silent. That is the most telling to me. There is crazy shit in that report and they know it.

by Anonymousreply 496March 24, 2019 6:04 PM

Interesting:

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 497March 24, 2019 6:05 PM

I'm not, r491.

I tempered my expectations of the Mueller Report a long time ago. It dawned on me that the notion that he was going to come along like Santa Claus with a sackful of indictable and CONVICTABLE level high crimes and misdemeanors was to be tempered.

And that's not to say that Traitor Tot isn't now, nor in the past, run a self-dealing criminal cabal at the expense of the Office of the US Presidency. He is and has.

What r493 said. What's between his words will be more telling. He could, without actually writing in letters two feet high, signal TRUMP IS AN INCOMPETENT MORON, which poltically and electorally speaking could be even more damaging than outright "collusion".

by Anonymousreply 498March 24, 2019 6:05 PM

The only thing they keep harping on his "no collusion," well, that's fine since collusion isn't a thing.

What about conspiracy?

I really wonder if they just did what they always do... leaked something they wanted people to believe so people would just forget about it all and they'd bury what they didn't want you to know in a summarized version of the report.

by Anonymousreply 499March 24, 2019 6:07 PM

R497 links to a story almost 5 years old.

FAIL.

by Anonymousreply 500March 24, 2019 6:07 PM

He's your commander in chief for at least the next year and nine months. Deal with it.

by Anonymousreply 501March 24, 2019 6:09 PM

Let's also not forget there never needed to be "collusion," to take him down. People have been taken down for much much less. Remember, Clinton was taken down for lying.

Dotard has done that and much more.

by Anonymousreply 502March 24, 2019 6:10 PM

Correct, r501, however, how I choose to "deal with it" is none of your fucking concern.

I am, however, so glad that I'll never have the power of say, Lindsey Graham, who has to, for that power, kowtow to the lower than a snake's instep likes of Trump. I'd see myself in hell before I'd ever grovel before that despicable person.

by Anonymousreply 503March 24, 2019 6:14 PM

Election collusion/conspiracy with foreign enemies didn't end that lowlife Reagan.

It won't end Trump either. He will win a second term.

In 2030, when he dies we will hear Obama, CNN, and MSNBC call Trump a "great man" and a "maverick".

Look at how they are playing Nixon and Bush Sr romantic documentaries

by Anonymousreply 504March 24, 2019 6:15 PM

Just remember what we've learned on these threads, don't bother responding to the trolls. They'll move on soon enough.

by Anonymousreply 505March 24, 2019 6:15 PM

Devin Nunes says the Mueller report is a "partisan document" and we should just "burn it up." Goodness, who knew he had time to make pronouncements about nothingburgers amid his busy schedule of suing people for hurting his feefees?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 506March 24, 2019 6:15 PM

And if you haven't already make sure to WW the OP to counter the trolls desperately trying to get these threads buried.

by Anonymousreply 507March 24, 2019 6:16 PM

Hopefully Trump will be the last boomer president. That generation needs to be put out to pasture once and for all

by Anonymousreply 508March 24, 2019 6:18 PM

He wasn’t even legitimately elected.

They canceled that election in NC where they busted the repugs. They should do the same for 2016.

We shouldn’t have to take orders from an illegitimate, unelected president. All his orders should be ignored.

Learn from NC!

by Anonymousreply 509March 24, 2019 6:23 PM

Mundane threads from years past are being bumped. It’s so obvious it’s laughable.

by Anonymousreply 510March 24, 2019 6:25 PM

What a bunch of sore losers.

by Anonymousreply 511March 24, 2019 6:29 PM

Why are people so eager to take him down? Just wait until 2020, and he will probably be gone. And if he is re-elected by the American People, then it is written in the stars.

by Anonymousreply 512March 24, 2019 6:30 PM

Can’t be re-elected if you were never elected in the first place.

As long as we can’t see the full report, then go with your instincts. This was a coup. And I bet it’s all in the report.

by Anonymousreply 513March 24, 2019 6:36 PM

He was elected

by Anonymousreply 514March 24, 2019 6:37 PM

R497 links to a story from 2014 with Alec Baldwin (probably drunk at the time) bitching about Maddow after he got canned during his homophobic rant debacle with that cab driver.

I've never seen a more desperate troll.

by Anonymousreply 515March 24, 2019 6:40 PM

The reason the DNC convention is in Milwaukee next year is because Hillary lost Wisconsin. She refused to campaign in flyover country and we have Trump because of that

by Anonymousreply 516March 24, 2019 6:40 PM

We haven’t had a president elected since 2012.

2016 was not an election so much as it was a foreign coup. Look who is in charge now. It’s not the president.

That is how coups work.

by Anonymousreply 517March 24, 2019 6:44 PM

r515 My 'ignored' list shows fifteen desperate trolls. I'm defining "desperate" here as:

'I am contradicting the obvious, more than once. I post what is easily disproved. I am posting only to get a rise out of people. I am posting as if I have not read any real news for the past two years. I claim paid-by-Putin deza journalists are 'far-left liberals."

by Anonymousreply 518March 24, 2019 6:54 PM

R516, thanks for proving my point.

by Anonymousreply 519March 24, 2019 6:55 PM

{quote] He was elected

He was indeed. By Putin.

by Anonymousreply 520March 24, 2019 6:59 PM

r445, The only thing that Drumpf is reassured is that at some point in the future, he and his criminal family will be in a bunch of legal trouble; they can count on it.

All we need to do is kick him out of office next year (and we will), and his legal troubles will be JUST beginning.

by Anonymousreply 521March 24, 2019 7:00 PM

I bet the report spells out a coup play by play.

Americans have the right to know if we’ve been usurped.

by Anonymousreply 522March 24, 2019 7:01 PM

R518, I’m convinced it’s a bot. It never talks back, always a vague post lacking recent context. It’s some kind of algorithm or a series of paid trolls.

by Anonymousreply 523March 24, 2019 7:03 PM

Barr just announced he will be releasing the report in the next 30-45 minutes.

by Anonymousreply 524March 24, 2019 7:09 PM

r523 My questions, earnest and sincere, anyone who knows the answers can share them:

How does a bot have fifteen concurrent accounts here?

Under what circumstances do innocuous, harmless OPs get greyed out by non-desperate people? (You may be correct in thinking a bot is FFing.)

If the report is really nothing scandalous or damning, why are the GOP being so vocal about it? Why are there concerted, obvious campaigns swarming social media?

by Anonymousreply 525March 24, 2019 7:10 PM

Barr will submit the Mueller report summary in 30-45 minutes the DOJ just said

by Anonymousreply 526March 24, 2019 7:12 PM
Barr just announced he will be releasing the report in the next 30-45 minutes.

The report or his heavily edited summary of the report?

by Anonymousreply 527March 24, 2019 7:13 PM

I'm still wondering how he was able to read through it so quickly.

by Anonymousreply 528March 24, 2019 7:13 PM

I wonder if Dotard didn't tweet because they were forcing him not to so it didn't look like Barr gave him a copy in advance or to lesson the speculation that it was heavily redacted in favor of the Cheeto.

by Anonymousreply 529March 24, 2019 7:14 PM

According to The NY Times, Barr is releasing a “summary.”

by Anonymousreply 530March 24, 2019 7:15 PM

I'm sure Barr will reveal as little as possible. You know he's going to make sure to include no indictments but probably won't list anything damaging about Trump. Hopefully Barr will at least say why Mueller has declined to issue further indictments

by Anonymousreply 531March 24, 2019 7:15 PM

Someone please share what the "release," says. Im not going to be watching any of the coverage.

by Anonymousreply 532March 24, 2019 7:15 PM

There may be damning evidence against Trump in Mueller's Report but he couldn't charge him because he's US President. So basically, a sitting President can break any law he wants to (including treason) and get away with it. A President is ABOVE THE LAW. Who the fuck made up this law/precedent? And screw Congress. The Dems can't do anything if they don't have the majority in the Senate.

by Anonymousreply 533March 24, 2019 7:15 PM

R528, it's easy when you just take a black marker to the words 'traitor', 'conspiracy', 'criminal', 'Russia', and 'treason'. There's probably only about three sentences after that.

by Anonymousreply 534March 24, 2019 7:16 PM

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 535March 24, 2019 7:17 PM
There may be damning evidence against Trump in Mueller's Report but he couldn't charge him because he's US President. So basically, a sitting President can break any law he wants to (including treason) and get away with it. A President is ABOVE THE LAW. Who the fuck made up this law/precedent?

And that is why actual politics was never really an option to get rid of Trump in the first place. It's just a mainstream pacifier to prevent civil war.

by Anonymousreply 537March 24, 2019 7:19 PM

R514 they try to contest every election now (since Bush V. Gore at least). Then if that doesn't work they do a bunch of Watergate style investigations.

by Anonymousreply 538March 24, 2019 7:19 PM

r533, It's not a law; it's a DOJ guideline, but it happens to be one that Mueller is following.

Mueller could have challenged it but he didn't.

by Anonymousreply 539March 24, 2019 7:19 PM

I believe there are no actual briefings. All the members of the House (and Senate?) receive are memo of cliffnotes from Barr.

by Anonymousreply 540March 24, 2019 7:20 PM

Yes r540, I heard it's just a summary.

by Anonymousreply 541March 24, 2019 7:21 PM

Harvard undergrads will produce Cliffnotes of the report.

by Anonymousreply 542March 24, 2019 7:22 PM

Barr will drag it out. I think Pelosi will have to either sue to get the entire, unredacted report or she has to summon Mueller to read his copy to the House panel.

by Anonymousreply 543March 24, 2019 7:22 PM

If the report is truly horrendous for Trump, and it gets released and widely known by the public, it will be very interesting to see how senate republicans handle it.

If they still vocally support him, it’ll look very bad to those independents who pay attention to politics. And that could spell doom for those up in 2020. So depending on how damning it is, they may need to take action to save themselves.

by Anonymousreply 544March 24, 2019 7:23 PM

You know Barr will make the Democrats fight to get the bad stuff. He'll issue the most neutral summary possible.

by Anonymousreply 545March 24, 2019 7:24 PM

It’s going to all come down to repug congressmen. It’s all on them. If there is even one of them with an ounce of dignity then they will realize this.

by Anonymousreply 546March 24, 2019 7:24 PM

No indictments, how can it be truly horrendous?

by Anonymousreply 547March 24, 2019 7:24 PM

Congress should just say fuck it and hire another independent counsel to investigate. Who the fuck cares if people continue to cry witch hunt? You just reply, "Benghazi."

by Anonymousreply 548March 24, 2019 7:26 PM
Congress should just say fuck it and hire another independent counsel to investigate.

Said no sensible person, ever.

by Anonymousreply 549March 24, 2019 7:27 PM

If there is a suspicion (or it's outright stated) that Barr ended the investigation, the House should hire the entire Mueller team as their own investigative special counsel to continue the investigation.

by Anonymousreply 550March 24, 2019 7:30 PM

^Troll sounds worried.

Benghazi, dumbass.

by Anonymousreply 551March 24, 2019 7:30 PM

Now it will show whether the Democratic Party has some backbone or not. I don't think they will get very far with "Please" and "Thank You" (as usual).

by Anonymousreply 552March 24, 2019 7:30 PM

R551 is obviously in response to the retard troll at R549.

by Anonymousreply 553March 24, 2019 7:30 PM

The "Reader's Digest" condensed version of the report...carefully picked over.

by Anonymousreply 554March 24, 2019 7:31 PM

Now that the investigation has ended is Mueller able to say something about it on, say, Rachel Maddow's show?

by Anonymousreply 555March 24, 2019 7:32 PM
is Mueller able to say something about it on, say, Rachel Maddow's show?

How is that’s even possible?

A summary? To the man who was chosen by the subject of the investigation?

Trusting these people to do the right thing is like waiting on a unicorn to show up.

After all that time and money, they turn the report over to the people who were investigated?

Is this a joke?

by Anonymousreply 562March 24, 2019 7:37 PM
She refused to campaign in flyover country and we have Trump because of that

Yeah no. Hillary lost because the election was hacked. Also, Wisconsin was trending red for several years now. So much that they gave their own legislature to the Repugs which has screwed their state. But hey, they got the president they wanted.

by Anonymousreply 563March 24, 2019 7:37 PM

What are you smoking R563?

by Anonymousreply 564March 24, 2019 7:39 PM

by Anonymousreply 565March 24, 2019 7:39 PM

The media needs to get to the bottom of what happend. As does congress. And the American people.
