I like her already!
Introducing Tiffany Welles!!
|by Anonymous||reply 340||9 hours ago|
Lord, she was vapid..
|by Anonymous||reply 1||01/28/2019|
Try east coast sophistication, bitch!, r1!
|by Anonymous||reply 2||01/28/2019|
Puleaze She lasted one season and barely had any lines the first 5 or 6 episodes.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||01/28/2019|
The season 4 intro with Miss Shelley Hack! Yay!
|by Anonymous||reply 4||01/30/2019|
She was pretty.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||01/30/2019|
Tiffany Welles could kick ass too!
|by Anonymous||reply 6||01/30/2019|
Couldn't you just have bumped the Tiffany thread from just from a few weeks ago?
|by Anonymous||reply 7||01/30/2019|
But since there's this thread, Tiffany was by far at her most entertaining in this episode as purse twirling street hooker who tough talks the abusive pimp. Too funny.
Poor Jaclyn has a massive camel toe in those tight pants. That couldn't have been comfortable.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||01/30/2019|
I think DL talks about Shelley Hack more than any other cast member from CA. We are obsessed.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||01/30/2019|
I know I am. Long live Tiffany Welles!
|by Anonymous||reply 10||01/30/2019|
I noticed her as a pre-gay boy. I think she was acting like a "gay man", or maybe she is really lesbian. Who knows.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||01/30/2019|
I always think how great it would have been if they'd gone with Barbara Bach. Or I wonder what would have happened if the show went another season without Smith. Poor Cheryl Ladd.. Tiffany never made any appearances again like Farrah, did she?
|by Anonymous||reply 12||02/05/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 13||02/05/2019|
Tiffany has the French streetwalker look down pat.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||02/05/2019|
Today Tiff is driving an 18 wheeler.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||02/15/2019|
Kim Basinger was runner-up to Cheryl to replace Farrah. They gave her a consolation prize the following season with a guest starring stint.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||02/15/2019|
Kim appeared on the 1st season with Farrah.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||02/15/2019|
DIdn't Cheryl and Jaclyn have any say in the matter? I mean, they just are suddenly told that their co-star has been fired and they didn't have ANY input?
|by Anonymous||reply 18||02/17/2019|
R18 TV actors rarely have any say in anything. Only if they're producers as well. It's mostly up to the network.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||02/17/2019|
She was the prettiest angel so long as she got to wear her Northeast clothes and hair. That she didn't get to do on Charlie's Angels. They just put her in the same shit style the other girls had and it looked horrible on her. She was her prettiest in the casual preppy look.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||02/17/2019|
They just didn't dress the gals like this on Charlie's Angels.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||02/17/2019|
and a glamour shot with all three of them. she's the one that clearly stands out in the photo.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||02/17/2019|
R22 Cheryl looks awful in that pic - Shelly was beautiful
|by Anonymous||reply 23||02/17/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 24||02/18/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 25||02/18/2019|
She was lovely to look at, but the walking and talking side of acting is what did her in.
In OP's clip she can't even sit down on the couch without looking like she really had to think about it hard.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||02/18/2019|
I was just going to post what R26 did. She's more meant for stills.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||02/18/2019|
R26 eats shit!
|by Anonymous||reply 28||02/18/2019|
"Kidnapping for prostitution...white slavery."
|by Anonymous||reply 29||02/18/2019|
The last few episodes she did she locked herself in her dressing room and did her own hair and makeup.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||02/18/2019|
Shelley trashed in Charlie's Angels The Truth Behind the Rumors TV special. Her part starts 14:00 in.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||02/18/2019|
Don’t believe everything you hear. Fools.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||02/18/2019|
Did they not invite Shelly back when she had TWO more episodes to film before the season was over? That had to be rough..
|by Anonymous||reply 33||03/08/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 34||03/08/2019|
We call it doo doo.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||03/08/2019|
Her hair was awful on CA - limp, lifeless. As if she was anorexic.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||03/08/2019|
Exactly R36. That's why midway through she started doing her hair and makeup by herself. THAT'S what really pissed them off.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||03/08/2019|
Shelley was stiff.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||03/08/2019|
They recycled Farrah’s intro for Shelley with the just finished typing, oh here’s another stack bit.
That should’ve been her first clue.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||03/08/2019|
It could have been much worse, r39.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||03/09/2019|
God that Tanya Roberts is fucking awful.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||03/09/2019|
I wonder what would have happened if the show went another season without Smith. Poor Cheryl Ladd.
I posted this before in another CA thread but I think a sixth season could've been interesting. Jaclyn would've left, Cheryl would've moved up to top billing followed by Tanya and I think a black actress joining the cast (which had been talked about for years) could've brought fresh attention to the show, though at that point such casting would've viewed as too gimmicky and perhaps backfired, so who knows.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||03/09/2019|
Vapid is the word... and unnatural.
She seemed uncomfortable in her own skin.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||03/09/2019|
R26, I'll never forget that clip that someone posted one time of Tiffany holding a gun. He entitled it..... Do you think Shelly Hack had ever held a gun before?
It was hysterical. I still laugh about it.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||03/09/2019|
From her last episode.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||03/09/2019|
Aaron Spelling said even before Season 5 started production, that it would probably be the last. He knew at that point Jaclyn was leaving and that the ratings were dropping quickly. They needed another Season to break the 100 episode mark to get a good syndication deal.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||03/09/2019|
Did Shelly Hack REALLY do her hair and make-up herself the 2nd half of the season? She look SOO much better, she started on the show with an over teased frizzy mop. Poor thing never had a chance. I honestly can't believe the other girls didn't have any say when they decide to hire her.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||03/09/2019|
I think they wanted Hack to flop, I mean releasing such an unflattering photo like this to the press wasn't going to get people enthused about her.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||03/09/2019|
Lord, the fucking wrinkles around her eyes and that limp hair..
|by Anonymous||reply 49||03/09/2019|
Nolan Miller is in that clip a bit. But in his Television Academy Foundation interview, he talked at length about how when Shelley Hack started, he LOVED her. He loving having such a beautiful woman to dress, and that she made all his creations look good. And for the first couple of weeks she was humble.
He said suddenly, she became very difficult and demanding. He laughed at how quickly it happened, and how different she suddenly became.
I think she does quite a great job in King of Comedy as Fred DeCordova's associate producer. She really captures that personality type- coldly professional. The way she blows off Rupert is perfectly done.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||03/09/2019|
Here you go, r44.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||03/09/2019|
r51's link also leads to this picture. Now there is an idea for the next angel. And she knows how to carry guns.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||03/10/2019|
R49 Plus that veiny hand and she's barefoot. She has big, unattractive feet (with a weird scar on one) and has a bandage around her toes. So many unsightly things in that photo.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||03/10/2019|
yes she did do her own hair and makeup later in her season. What that means though is she brought her own person in who knew her look and she had input in how they were doing it. She was a model since she was 14 and made a fortune doing it. She knew how to make herself look good. What she did with a lot of her modeling money was to pay for travel while she was still a teen and then pay for her over the top education. I've forgotten the wheres of her education but it's impressive. The travel that she did as a teen on her own is what impressed me the most. That was probably a big reason to why she didn't fit in. She probably didn't know how to chit chat about Bootsie Gumdrops in the cafeteria. I'm a Shelley Hack troll and love posting in her threads. Her look not fitting in was simply the biggest reason it didn't work out.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||03/10/2019|
Now THAT is a porn name.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||03/10/2019|
I love me some Shelley Hack!!
|by Anonymous||reply 56||03/10/2019|
That's it, R51.
But, the front view is even more hilarious.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||03/10/2019|
Hack was born in Greenwich, Connecticut. She graduated from Greenwich Academy, Smith College with a BA in History, and an MBA from NYIT. I guess maybe she could have helped Cheryl balance her checkbook in her dressing room.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||03/10/2019|
As much as I like her I'd kill to see the Night Court tapes.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||03/10/2019|
Shelley in her next show. With Assorted foxes. Cutter to Houston. At least they got her look.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||03/10/2019|
Wait, WTF happened on Night Court?
|by Anonymous||reply 61||03/10/2019|
Again, another part written with her in mind from the start. She originated the role of Christine that Markie Post would fill. They made a couple of episodes with her and it was so bad they let her go. I'd love to see the tapes of of Tiff being a comedic actress on a sitcom.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||03/11/2019|
Shelley in her third TV series. Again the role written with her in mind from the start. Jack and Mike.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||03/11/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 64||03/11/2019|
Again, Tiff in SeaQuest. Sort of an underwater STar Trek with Tiff as the captain. What was it with the producers, writers, and directors that all thought they were going to be the ones pulling the performance out of Shelley?
|by Anonymous||reply 65||03/11/2019|
Tiffany Welles has always been kind of an inspiration to me throughout my life.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||03/11/2019|
In the clip with Jaclyn and Cheryl obsessing that Tiffany has SEEN Charlie, Jaclyn's overacting and attempt at ad-libbing is laughable. Four seasons in, and still all she can do is pose and look troubled...
|by Anonymous||reply 67||03/11/2019|
She had all these NEW parts AFTER being fired from "Charlies Angels?" What the fuck potential did they SEE in her?
|by Anonymous||reply 68||03/11/2019|
I actually thought she did fine in “Jack & Mike.”
|by Anonymous||reply 69||03/11/2019|
Again the role written with her in mind from the start. Jack and Mike.
With ME in mind, you mean, since that show was nothing but a Moonlighting wannabe.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||03/11/2019|
Never did an “actress” have a more accurately descriptive last name than our Shelley.
|by Anonymous||reply 71||03/11/2019|
OMG a Love Boat crossover!
They pulled out all the stops.
A Starsky and Hutch crossover would’ve been better, or all three shows at once !
|by Anonymous||reply 72||03/11/2019|
R68 She might have had a good and aggressive agent who really pushed her.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||03/11/2019|
Someone has been so kind to upload episodes of Jack and Mike starring our Shelley.
|by Anonymous||reply 74||03/11/2019|
I've begun to suspect that the poster who keeps starting Shelley Hack/Tiffany Welles threads and then keeps posting in them can be no one else than Shelley herself...because who the eff else would care?
|by Anonymous||reply 75||03/12/2019|
J'adore Tiffany Welles.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||03/12/2019|
R75 Shelley/Tiffany has seemed to picked up fans over the years, and although a smallish group, seem to be very vocal online. See the various CA sites/forums and youtube. She was not very popular when the she was airing at the time. People Magazine noted she came in dead last on their annual poll for TV stars at the time.
|by Anonymous||reply 77||03/12/2019|
I am watching an episode on MeTV. I had not realized that Shelley was taller than Jaclyn. Robert englund is in this one.
|by Anonymous||reply 78||03/12/2019|
You must be watching the "Disco Angels" episode - I think he plays Freddy? Cheryl does a roller disco routine. Tiffany looked awful, that frizzy hair.I think she wore over-alls? Awful
|by Anonymous||reply 79||03/12/2019|
R79 - Harrigan’s Angel
“The Angels team up with alcoholic private eye Harrigan to investigate the robbery of an electronics plant. Kris takes a liking to the old man and tries to get him back on track.”
|by Anonymous||reply 80||03/12/2019|
I think “Disco Angels” featured Rene Auberjonois.
|by Anonymous||reply 81||03/12/2019|
Rene was in Angels on Skates.
|by Anonymous||reply 82||03/12/2019|
Who was in Angels on the Toilet?
|by Anonymous||reply 83||03/12/2019|
Margo the tranny was.
|by Anonymous||reply 84||03/12/2019|
Yes I think Zalman King was in “Disco Angels”
|by Anonymous||reply 85||03/12/2019|
also from a doing her own hair episode
|by Anonymous||reply 86||03/12/2019|
Is this Margo the tranny?
|by Anonymous||reply 87||03/12/2019|
and one where she didn't do her own thing
|by Anonymous||reply 88||03/12/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 89||03/12/2019|
This is hysterical. A hyper intelligent, independent, worldly Shelley Hack sitting through an interview in Nebraska on one of those junkets they do. The interviewer is like a drunken, country cousin of Edith Prickley.
|by Anonymous||reply 90||03/12/2019|
Season 4 was weak because it was mostly solo Angel episodes, but that wasn’t Shelley’s fault.
One of the all time best episodes was “Angel Hunt” which had all 3 Angels stranded on an island and hunted by a man who has a beef with Charlie (a plot that the first Drew Barrymore film stole from!) And Shelley had an action scene that this gayling re-enacted in the privacy of my room on several occasions!
|by Anonymous||reply 91||03/12/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 92||03/12/2019|
The bad guy in that scene was a total stud.
He looked like a 70s porn actor. I bet he had a big ol dick.
|by Anonymous||reply 93||03/12/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 94||03/12/2019|
I thought Shelley became a better actress after Charlie's Angels. She was very good in both the first The Stepfather film and one of the best episodes in HBO's Tales From the Crypt.
|by Anonymous||reply 95||03/12/2019|
R90, great clip.
Shelley contradicts almost everything the interviewer says.
Throw her a bone, Tiffany. Geez!
(And the interviewer needs to give Shelley some breathing room. Boy, those chairs were close together.)
|by Anonymous||reply 96||03/12/2019|
R91, I agree that that was a very good episode but always felt that scene you posted where the guy knocks out Tiffany and she disappears was just another gimmick cooked up by the writers (on orders from the producers) to cut down on Shelley Hack's screen time and focus most of the episode on Cheryl and Jaclyn.
|by Anonymous||reply 97||03/12/2019|
Apparently the first time Jaclyn Smith met Shelley Hack on the set of Angels she turned to Cheryl Ladd within earshot of Shelley and said, 'Didn't we just do a TRANSVESTITE episode?'
|by Anonymous||reply 98||03/13/2019|
Shelley spoke about that interview at R90 much later and spoke about how after the camera stopped rolling the woman--whose breadth reeked of gin--asked her if she'd ever experimented with a woman and then proceeded to mime scissors on each hand using her index and middle fingers and then grind them against each other.
|by Anonymous||reply 99||03/13/2019|
I'm the vajayjay coloring book Kim bought for Kris for Valentine's Day.
|by Anonymous||reply 100||03/13/2019|
R97 I wonder if she took acting lessons like Aaron Spelling asked her to do? Boy, that had to be embarrassing for her. She did improve a little later on in the season when they gave her a little more to do. Less stiff in general.
Studying acting with some good acting teachers is never a bad idea. Farrah Fawcett went to NY and studied at HB Studio in the early 80s and managed to turn her career around and be taken seriously as an actress. Of course she had more "name value" going for her that Shelley did to get a big showy roles to prove herself.
|by Anonymous||reply 101||03/13/2019|
R95 Funny you should mention The Stepfather! I just watched it for the first time this past weekend. A bit off topic, and I realize the 80s were a different time, but I was FLOORED when they showed the 15 year old daughter taking a shower with full on ass and tits shots!! Completely gratuitous and unnecessary, it lent nothing to the scene. Shelley was good in it though. Terry O'Quinn was positively terrifying.
|by Anonymous||reply 102||03/13/2019|
The episode in the old fashioned dance club was so embarrassing for poor Tiffany. One scene they say she is in the bathroom. It has no payoff. There is no scene of her speaking with someone there or picking up on a clue on her way back. They just talk without her. No reason she could not be in the scene.
|by Anonymous||reply 103||03/13/2019|
R103, but when Kelly said that Tiffany was in the bathroom didn't she gesture with two fingers and mouth the words, 'Number two'?
|by Anonymous||reply 104||03/13/2019|
I don’t excrete waste matter and I don’t care for people who do.
|by Anonymous||reply 105||03/13/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 106||03/13/2019|
Shelley Hack was just good.
|by Anonymous||reply 107||03/13/2019|
r98, I find that very hard to believe. By all accounts, Jaclyn Smith is a class act.
|by Anonymous||reply 108||03/13/2019|
Jaclyn Smith is thrice divorced Trump fan. So she's not all that classy.
|by Anonymous||reply 109||03/13/2019|
.... and what's your take on Kate Jackson?
|by Anonymous||reply 110||03/13/2019|
She got some of this D
|by Anonymous||reply 111||03/13/2019|
Sabrina Duncan was too lesbian for me. Tiffany Welles was feminine.
|by Anonymous||reply 112||03/13/2019|
Jaclyn may have been fine but Kelly Garrett was a downright cunt to Tiffany and very likely the reason our Tiff fled to Boston!
|by Anonymous||reply 113||03/13/2019|
r133, I did get quite the laugh during that Angel Hunt episode when Tiffany got knocked out by the hunter and Kris wanted to go save her but Kelly was like 'fuck that bitch we need to go NOW'. LOL!!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 114||03/13/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 115||03/13/2019|
Did they explain why Tiffany had left the Townsend Agency after one year?
|by Anonymous||reply 116||03/13/2019|
R114, me, too! Every time I think about that episode, that's the first scene that comes to mind.
|by Anonymous||reply 117||03/13/2019|
Charlie told Bos, Kelly and Kris that Tiff was still in Boston and going to stay there a few more months. She was never mentioned again. She disappeared from the Townsend agency like Lucille Bremer left MGM and no one minded.
|by Anonymous||reply 118||03/13/2019|
“Which of you Angels just let out a silent one?”
|by Anonymous||reply 119||03/13/2019|
Did Farrah ever show up during the Julie Rogers season?
I forgot she and the Tifster were in some of the same episodes.
|by Anonymous||reply 120||03/13/2019|
No, IIRC, Farrah's appearances ended during the Shelley Hack season.
|by Anonymous||reply 121||03/13/2019|
Nowadays they would make it a season-long story arch when an angel leaves. In episode one, she mysteriously disappears. It turns out she has been investigating a cold case. Her brutally tortured body would be found no sooner than episode six or even ten.
|by Anonymous||reply 122||03/13/2019|
Tiffany Welles......WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT!
|by Anonymous||reply 123||03/13/2019|
I still watch the CA reruns. On MeTV they're currently showing the Tiffany Wells season. OMG! That episode where Tiffany and Kelly had to go undercover as hookers was hysterical. Shelley was so damn campy, strutting down that sidewalk, swinging that purse, and chewing gum like a cow. The editor for that episode must've been drunk or on coke because there were jump cuts all over the place. One sudden close up in particular showed Shelley with this campy shit eating grin. I was DONE! LOL!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 124||03/13/2019|
R124 That's by far my favorite Shelley/Tiffany episode. Then was her hilarious tough talking to the pimp. "Well, I was talkin' to you!"
|by Anonymous||reply 125||03/13/2019|
r125, She had quite the sass in that episode. LOL!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 126||03/13/2019|
Who was in Angels on the Toilet?
|by Anonymous||reply 127||03/13/2019|
Shelley Hack was good. She was just good..
|by Anonymous||reply 128||03/14/2019|
R114 They also never even try to find her body. To me the funny part of this episode is that at the end, once he finds out they are all alive, Charlie turns his boat around and leaves them on the island with the big cats. It was more important they didn't see his face then their safety.
|by Anonymous||reply 129||03/14/2019|
Shelley was never given a chance. It should have been Tiff who was secretly injected with heroin or who had to infiltrate a women’s prison on her own!
|by Anonymous||reply 130||03/14/2019|
They did treat her poorly. Even in the Angel Hunt episode. She's captured and tied up in the cabin. She doesn't even get to escape and capture the last guy. She just lies there until Kris and Kelly come in.
|by Anonymous||reply 131||03/14/2019|
this world was never meant for one as beautiful as Tiff
|by Anonymous||reply 132||03/14/2019|
Now my curiosity is piqued. Where are those NIGHT COURT eps?
|by Anonymous||reply 133||03/14/2019|
In Lee Radziwell's safety deposit box.
|by Anonymous||reply 134||03/14/2019|
R133 Probably in a vault somewhere. They've never been shown anywhere. I think she filmed two episodes, tops. Hack said they changed her character's personality between episodes and she didn't like the change at all. Obviously the producers didn't like her take on the new version of role, so she left and they recast.
|by Anonymous||reply 135||03/14/2019|
I think the Angels Go Truckin' episode is particularly bad. This was before the producers realized that Tiff was not cutting it with viewers, so she has some things to do in the episode. It's clear they wanted her in the Sabrina Duncan mode (someone who can play campy undercover characters).
|by Anonymous||reply 136||03/14/2019|
I just find it funny how they took someone who was one of the most glamorous models for years and made her look like a frazzled frau managing too many carpools.
|by Anonymous||reply 137||03/14/2019|
They made her hair looks so shitty.
|by Anonymous||reply 138||03/14/2019|
Well Shelley didn't help much when was hunched over at times also. With her being a model, you'd think she'd have better posture.
|by Anonymous||reply 139||03/14/2019|
This thread is LOL funny.
|by Anonymous||reply 140||03/14/2019|
She also was scary skinny.
|by Anonymous||reply 141||03/14/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 142||03/14/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 143||03/14/2019|
I just scratched my asshole then smelled it
|by Anonymous||reply 144||03/14/2019|
I love Tiffany.
But I think Shelley is a bit of a bitch.
|by Anonymous||reply 145||03/14/2019|
She was a hack.
|by Anonymous||reply 146||03/14/2019|
R114, it's as if you did a ghetto translation lol.
|by Anonymous||reply 147||03/14/2019|
As far as I'm concerned Tiffany Welles was a big improvement over Sabrina Duncan who was too manish for my tastes.
|by Anonymous||reply 148||Last Friday at 2:16 AM|
I remember not really caring for her much in the original episodes. Maybe it was just about me being a moody teen. I lover her now in the MeTV reruns. I lover her look and I think she did a good job. I have a soft spot in my heart for most of the actors that come in as replacements, it's just a tough position to be in.
|by Anonymous||reply 149||Last Friday at 4:36 AM|
I do love Tiffany but I can admit Shelly Hack can't act and is very stiff, which I find endearing. But didn't they screen test her. They had to have seen it. Watching these episodes again, I think Cheryl Ladd was the best actress of the bunch, given the material. I also think Farrah is better in the episodes she was forced to come back to do then in her season.
|by Anonymous||reply 150||Last Friday at 5:16 AM|
r150, I do think Kate Jackson was the best in terms of acting but Cheryl Ladd was very good. One of the reasons I took to Cheryl so fast coming in behind Farrah leaving and all the tea spilt from that was her acting ability. Looking at the reruns, I'm reminded of how natural she was. I do agree that Farrah did seem better in the episodes she was forced to do and as we saw, she became an even better actress after that. I mean The Burning Bed. Wow! Jaclyn Smith has always been my favorite angel. Acting wise, she wasn't consistent but she could pull it out sometimes. I really thought her forced heroin addiction episode was her best work.
|by Anonymous||reply 151||Last Friday at 5:49 AM|
Kate was good but overall I think Cheryl really captured the spirit of the show and made it work. Cheryl's at the Chiller Theatre autograph show in NJ in April. Can't wait.
|by Anonymous||reply 152||Last Friday at 6:55 AM|
I believe that Dierdre Hall served as Jaclyn's acting coach for quite some time and vice-versa. They would do scenes together from Shakespeare, Ibsen and Chekov and then afterward give each other notes.
|by Anonymous||reply 153||Last Friday at 7:22 AM|
Cheryl was the best because she was enjoying what she was doing and the check she was getting out of it. She landed in a pot of jam and she knew it. It came through.

she was also so damn cute when she was a young model.

OMG, that hooker episode had everything.
Scary 70s burned actor who was all over TV back then. Annoying Sissy Spacek clone actresss who had already been on CA in the football episode. None of the sharp detectives realizing who Rose is. Madlyn Rhue Jaclyn and Tiff as streetwalkers.
|by Anonymous||reply 160||Last Friday at 7:25 PM|
Nancy Fox - Jaclyn’s bestie and recurring CA guest star, r160.
|by Anonymous||reply 161||Last Friday at 7:29 PM|
Tiffany twirling her purse around, but ugh, that ugly top. Jaclyn and hot pink camel toe.
|by Anonymous||reply 162||Last Friday at 8:05 PM|
She looks underfed.
|by Anonymous||reply 163||Last Friday at 8:14 PM|
Sorry but in my opinion, Shelley gets high marks for that walk at R162. Girlfriend was WORKING IT. Don't see anything wrong with her in that scene.
|by Anonymous||reply 164||Last Saturday at 6:57 AM|
As for Tiffany's predecessor, here are 8 things you might not know about Kate Jackson:
|by Anonymous||reply 165||Last Saturday at 6:59 AM|
#9 - She is fucking NUTS.
|by Anonymous||reply 166||Last Saturday at 8:03 AM|
Have there been any updates on crazy cat lady Kate? She really hasn't been working or in the public eye at all in several years. It's wild when you think of what a big star she was and that she was a veteran of 3 major series (Rookies, Angels, Scarecrow) plus plenty of other high profile work.
|by Anonymous||reply 167||Last Saturday at 8:04 AM|
|by Anonymous||reply 168||Last Saturday at 8:07 AM|
Kate is still studying her script for Kramer vs. Kramer. Kate's big problem is she was one of those who could never enjoy her success. Not even when she was "best friends" with Olivia Newton John.
|by Anonymous||reply 169||Last Saturday at 8:11 AM|
In addition to her debut episode of CA, Shelley was an actual guest star on “The Love Boat”. She was actually quite funny, playing a scientist who pretends to be an airhead in order to get men interested in her.
|by Anonymous||reply 170||Last Saturday at 8:18 AM|
R167 She was snapped by paparazzi as recently as 2 years ago looking thin and drawn. Tabloids claimed she has/had a pain pill addiction and is a hoarder. She had to sell her nice house and move into smaller place due to money problems.
As much as she worked from the 70s through the 90s, she should be getting a nice pension from SAG. Even if she blew all the money she made of the years, that pension would keep a roof over her head and fed at least.
|by Anonymous||reply 171||Last Saturday at 8:19 AM|
If by blew you mean Andrew Stevens stealing it all.....LOL. Lesbian got taken in by some pretty dick.
|by Anonymous||reply 172||Last Saturday at 8:22 AM|
And Shelley is the only Angel to ever appear in a film that won the Oscar for Best Picture. "I have no opinions..."
|by Anonymous||reply 173||Last Saturday at 8:23 AM|
Many of us at DL still cherish the unauthorized quote from his cool mom, Stella Stevens, when Andrew began his acting career. Sage advice: "You're not very talented so you'd better learn to suck dick."
|by Anonymous||reply 174||Last Saturday at 8:27 AM|
I wish there was video of him taking her advice!
BTW, “The Seduction” comes out on Blu Ray in May!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 175||Last Saturday at 8:29 AM|
Maybe she saw this before saying it.
|by Anonymous||reply 176||Last Saturday at 8:31 AM|
R39, I agree and they cut away just as the guy's arm (the guy carrying the stack) gets in the way; awful editing.
|by Anonymous||reply 177||Last Saturday at 8:35 AM|
R39, R177 At least she didn't have to balance a book on her head or run on a janky treadmill like I had to.
|by Anonymous||reply 178||Last Saturday at 8:41 AM|
The original and the Tiffany version openings were the least clunky. Once they got into two went to LA, one in SF, I was like why wasn't Kris in LA, too? Having them spread out made the most sense, but the third version! Yikes! "The other to a top school for modeling...and the each reaped the blah blah...."
I do think that shot of Jaclyn Smith turning her head around in the opening is such a classic shot; what a beauty!
My favorite angel was Sabrina. Kate was really the only one who could act.
|by Anonymous||reply 179||Last Saturday at 9:46 AM|
I was secretly attending the prestigious police academy in SF, unbeknownst to big sister Jill who would not have approved. The original three girls went to the Steve Guttenberg location, lol!

"I do think that shot of Jaclyn Smith turning her head around in the opening is such a classic shot; what a beauty!"
r179, that shot is ICONIC! I was a fan of CA during it's 5 year run and watch the MeTV reruns on an almost daily basis. That shot never fails to give me life. Also, watching it in the context of the episode is even better. Kelly gives a sharp elbow to the ribs of a deadly masseuse who tried to sneak up on her, does the iconic hair flip in that classic closeup, then says "I hope you liked your massage Inga." Season 1, Episode 6 - The Killing Kind. One of my favorites.
|by Anonymous||reply 182||Last Saturday at 7:18 PM|
Oh, it was episode 6, R182? Interesting. I'd always thought it came out of the pilot.
And you're right, it never gets old.

The other MeTV article says the first season Kate got 10k per episode, while Farrah and Jaclyn got 5k.
|by Anonymous||reply 188||Last Saturday at 8:05 PM|
She was flat as a board
|by Anonymous||reply 189||Last Saturday at 8:18 PM|
R188 Most TV stars didn't get paid much back then. Especially on a new series. So, not far fetched. It makes sense Kate made more because she was only one who was really known at that time. Farrah was only known as Lee Majors wife and unproven and Jaclyn was a total unknown.
Tanya Roberts supposedly made $12,000 an episode during the last seasons. I'm sure Jaclyn and Cheryl were making considerable more than she was,
|by Anonymous||reply 190||Last Saturday at 8:19 PM|
r3 Puleaze Hack lasted one season and barely had any lines the first 5 or 6 episodes.
Well, Mr. Smarty...she had Ladd and fuckin' little Miss Butter-Wouldn't-Melt-in-Her-Mouth Smith gunning for her on the set...getting her lines and best bits of business cut right out from under her. They were threatened to the [italic]core[/italic] by a REAL thespienne.
Kate Jackson also wanted to go down in the annals as THE actress from the series, so she was sure as ALL hell pulling Spelling's strings from the sidelines.
Probably had some serious dirt on him. [bold]MeToo[bold] (?)

|by Anonymous||reply 192||Last Saturday at 8:32 PM|
while I didn't buy poor Jaclyn in the 'thugs hook Kelly on cocaine' episode, and I thought Kate was the only one who could pull off playing an undercover character -- 'I want that baby, John - see that I get it' or the naïve fake Janet LeMarr (sp?) in the pilot -- I did think Jaclyn had occasional really solid moments like cracking to the lesbian matron in Angels in Chains 'how long has it been since you've been sprayed?'
I think Spelling said he'd give each of the first four angels a million each if three of them would agree to a reunion movie. I wish that had happened.
|by Anonymous||reply 193||Last Saturday at 8:43 PM|
Shelley did have nice legs though.
|by Anonymous||reply 194||Last Saturday at 8:42 PM|
R193, was that after Farrah had gone from one of the world's most iconic beauties to crunchy haired dipstick?
|by Anonymous||reply 195||Last Saturday at 8:48 PM|
I think it's refreshing Shelley doesn't have a face full of fillers and botox, but if she'd do something about those eye bags, she's look great.
|by Anonymous||reply 196||Last Saturday at 8:51 PM|
R193 Kate and Farrah never wanted to do it. Jaclyn was game and I'm sure Cheryl would've too (and she was very popular with most of the fans of the show, it's too bad they discounted her). They didn't even seem to consider Shelley or Tanya at all. I think Tanya would've done it for sure. But they weren't interested in any other combo.

Tanya also had the worst intro. They had her running on the K Mart treadmill. I don't even remember what her name was on the show. I just thought she was not angel material. She had better tits than Tiff though.

All the angels were (obviously) beautiful, but it's also notable that NONE of them ever REALLY set the screen on fire, acting wise.
Compare them to Sharon Stone in [italic]Casino,[/italic] who somehow, even though she was discovered as a de rigueur blonde model bimbo, tore it up as Ginger. It really is a remarkable performance, made up of many varied scenes and moods.
But, you know, a good script and director can help you get there.

I remember hating that haunted house episode, r213, because of the ending.
At the end of the episode, the team is back at the agency recapping all of the events that occurred at the haunted house. Bosley, typical as ever, offers his skepticism that the house was actually haunted. Suddenly his desk starts rollicking violently to suggest the ghost is not happy at his comments! Does anyone freak out? No, the Angels start laughing at Bosley! Freeze frame to end credits.
Even the ten year old me did a major eye roll at that.
|by Anonymous||reply 221||Last Sunday at 9:25 AM|
Tanya’s tits look weird at r209. I think Cheryl probably had the best body.

Watching the episodes on MeTv, I was wondering about the Tiffany segment of the opening. Does anyone know if that was the original one for her ? It contains scenes from "Angel Hunt" and "Angels on Campus" that were from the middle of the season. I didn't think they shot that many in advance to have those scenes ready for the premiere.
|by Anonymous||reply 224||Last Monday at 4:03 AM|
To say nothing of the scene with all the dancing "ghosts" that Tiffany sees, R221. All this highly trained private eye had to do was touch one to tell that they were flesh and blood and the jig would be up. But does this walking rugburn do it? NOPE.

|by Anonymous||reply 226||Last Monday at 10:37 AM|
I could never figure out if the problem was Hack couldn't act or if it was her God-given odd, breathy voice and too big smile and odd facial expressions. But there was never any exciting or memorable moment, involving her, from that entire season.
|by Anonymous||reply 227||Last Monday at 12:49 PM|
That’s your opinion r227, not mine.
|by Anonymous||reply 228||Last Monday at 12:51 PM|
R224 They initially had one different shot of her in the first half of the first season, then they changed it midway though. That one is the one that was shown in syndication and on the DVD's.
Here's the original opening that aired for the first half of the season. It bad quality since it's from an ancient VHS or BETA tape.

My favorite show open evah! The theme song! The Jaclyn Smith hair flip! The Farrah smile! The Kate Jackson laugh! The Cheryl Ladd bikini, which seemed racy for it's time. This young man loved the glamour (not the girls)!
|by Anonymous||reply 232||Last Monday at 5:01 PM|
The best part of the show, and it always made me laugh, was Sabrina in the weekly car chase. She would either be chasing some V8 land barge or be chased by some V8 land barge. She always held her own IN HER FUCKING PINTO! Not just a Pinto. AN ORANGE PINTO.

The Angels looked their worse in Season 4. Cheryl really aged after seasons 2 and 3. She was still an attractive woman but no longer the cute young thing she was when she joined the show. I’m not sure if it was her hairstyle or bad makeup. She look better in Season 5, though. Jaclyn was full on soccer mom in season 4. And Tiffany and that unfortunate hair crimp!

|by Anonymous||reply 243||Last Monday at 9:08 PM|
And why not? SHE WAS A GODDESS!
Till those jealous harpies Cheryl and Jackie tied a tin can to her tail and ran her off the show.
|by Anonymous||reply 244||Last Monday at 9:38 PM|
Cheryl and Jaclyn didn't have that much power.
She wasn't very well liked by viewers (especially at the time) had pissed people off behind the scenes and the ratings were dropping fast. Honestly she wasn't the only reason for the drop, but she got most of the blame.
I think they underestimated how important Kate was to the show. She brought some seriousness and legitimacy that kept the show balanced. But I think Season 3 was really when the show started it's decline. There were some bad episodes that Season.
|by Anonymous||reply 245||Last Tuesday at 2:34 AM|
Kate had the best voice on the show.
|by Anonymous||reply 246||Last Tuesday at 2:58 AM|
I didn't like how the producers tried unsuccessfully to force lesbianism down our throats with Sabrina Duncan for a while.
|by Anonymous||reply 247||Last Tuesday at 3:38 AM|
R229 Thanks fot that. I guess maybe "Angel Hunt" was shot earlier and held off airing until later in the season.
Speaking of opening credits, does anyone know what episode that first shot of Cheryl running down the hill is from ? I can't remember ever seeing it in an episode.
|by Anonymous||reply 248||Last Tuesday at 3:51 AM|
One problem with Tiffany is that she was more of a Kelly than a Sabrina. The show needed a Sabrina.
Today starts poor Tiff's last episode (2 parter) where she has the indignity of being in an episode where a guy falls in love with 2 angels and she's not one of them. And then at the end, Kelly and Kris both quit but it's poor Tiffany who doesn't come back. I remember as a kid knowing she wasn't coming back when the episode aired. I thought they were going to kill her off when that bulldozer was going to drop the bricks on her.

R248 They don't always shoot episodes in the order they air. For example, Cheryl Ladd's first episode taped was actually Circus of Terror.
|by Anonymous||reply 254||Last Tuesday at 4:20 AM|
|by Anonymous||reply 255||Last Tuesday at 4:21 AM|
R255 Yes, Cheryl herself said that was the first one she taped. A bit odd since it was 5th episode that aired that Season.
|by Anonymous||reply 256||Last Tuesday at 4:27 AM|
R256 True but "Angel Hunt" was the 11th episode plus one of the better ones, I'm surprised they sat on it for so long.
|by Anonymous||reply 257||Last Tuesday at 5:06 AM|
Smith got pregnant almost immediately after ANGELS was over. She was 35 when the series finished, which is very different from 35 now. She maintained a bikini body right up to the end of the series, with those S5 eps shot in Hawaii, but she does tend to be much more covered up in her "everyday" costumes from later seasons: full sleeves, blouses up to the neck. And you have to love Kelly's habit of dispensing random beatdowns in S5.
The last episode aired in June 1981 and Smith had her first child in 1982 at age 36--which was late to be having a first child, back then--and another in 1985 at 40.
One big problem according to Leonard Goldberg is that the show was doing the same thing in S5 as it was doing in S1, it didn't really change, and they simply ran out of logical, creative milieus to put the angels into. The Hawaii location shift only helped for a while (HAWAII FIVE-O had been canceled and they wanted to use that location facility but ended up using it for only 7 eps), but then they were back at the office for the end of the season. Also, the timeslot kept changing in S5.
The hours on the series were really long, and several actors who guested on the show have commented that they would shoot really fast, and on film, which was costly. They'd even shoot rehearsal sometimes just to get it done. Whether that was a case of no time or not caring, who knows?
It is remarkable when you watch the series today how much of the exteriors are on location, and not just outside on the backlot. The interiors are studio sets almost always, but the workweek had to be grueling with the location travel, the occasional learning of special skills, plus all the PR and career maintenance. The angels were everywhere back then.
Also there's a real decline in script quality, even by CA standards, in S4 and a feeling of repetitiveness sets in. So many episodes similar to previous ones. So many friends of the angels engaged or married to bad men.
|by Anonymous||reply 258||Last Tuesday at 5:17 AM|
R257 It was one of the better episodes that Season. Strange they didn't air until after the November sweeps. They should've bumped Angels on Skates in favor for Angel Hunt.
R258 They should've stayed in Hawaii permanently for Season 5. It freshened up the show some and the Hawaiian episodes were fun. Most of the episodes after returning to the office were lackluster or total duds.
|by Anonymous||reply 259||Last Tuesday at 5:50 AM|

|by Anonymous||reply 261||Last Tuesday at 6:19 AM|
Semi recent pic of Kate.
|by Anonymous||reply 262||Last Tuesday at 6:40 AM|
I've told this story before but I had a friend who worked in the proximity of the CA world back in the day, and the original plan was to replace Kate Jackson, with Sada Thompson of Family. Sada had a bit of celebrity at that time because of the tv show family, so they shot a series of scenes with just her as Angel Lorraine...I forget whether she was supposed to be Sabrina's mother or not. Anyway, in the end the powers that be, nixed the idea, primarily because Thompson didn't like the wardrobe she was stuck with: twin sets, jeans and pumps, nor did she like all the running she had to do (in pumps, no less!). Also, there was a lot of unexpected sexual tension between Angel Lorraine and Bosley which they thought would throw off the dynamic of the show so they took the safer route and hired Shelley Hack.
|by Anonymous||reply 263||Last Tuesday at 6:58 AM|
Hack excited absolutely NO ONE..... except the pathetic OP.
She was a complete and utter snooze(in looks and personality).
|by Anonymous||reply 264||Last Tuesday at 7:42 AM|
Now, look here Tizzie Lish, R263
|by Anonymous||reply 265||Last Tuesday at 7:41 AM|
I'm surprised they let her stay the entire season, they should have hired another Angel, and transitioned Shelly out the fucking door
|by Anonymous||reply 266||Last Tuesday at 7:45 AM|
I'm a HUGE Kate Jackson fan. She can act and she would have had a totally different career had she done Kramer.
That said, I liked Shelley Hack. They were afraid to give her a chance and by the time they did it was over.
|by Anonymous||reply 267||Last Tuesday at 7:47 AM|
I never could stand to watch any of her episodes, so please tell me that Tiff drowned when that hottie knocked her cold.
|by Anonymous||reply 268||Last Tuesday at 7:48 AM|
A piece of cardboard has more warmth than Shelley Hack. I don't know what the fuck the producers were thinking. They nailed it with Ladd and then colossally bungled it with Hack and Roberts.
|by Anonymous||reply 269||Last Tuesday at 7:53 AM|
Shelley was a beautiful woman in that WASP sort of way...but a terrible, terrible actress. But it wasn’t as if Jaclyn and Cheryl were Mrs. Patrick Campbell. Especially Jaclyn. How she got hired for all of those TV movies and miniseries is jaw dropping. And Cheryl Ladd as Grace Kelly? 🙄🙄🙄🙄
|by Anonymous||reply 270||Last Tuesday at 7:54 AM|
R269 To be honest, it's very hard to replace a popular actor with someone new and it flops more often than succeeding. They got very lucky with Cheryl. She was a great fit for the show and fans accepted her immediately.
R270 Jaclyn was very popular among a diverse group of people. Back in the 80s, she had one of the highest "Q Scores" on television. That's why she kept getting so much TV work. I'd guess Cheryl's was fairly good also. In a People Magazine 1988 Charlie's Angels retrospective, they quoted an anonymous Hollywood executive that said Cheryl would be his first pick out of all the others that he would've hired for a project.
|by Anonymous||reply 271||Last Tuesday at 8:14 AM|
Correct, R270; I don't get it when people slam Shelley's acting and yet Jaclyn and Cheryl had long careers, still working now, I think.
|by Anonymous||reply 272||Last Tuesday at 8:16 AM|
Bitchy and funny review of Shelley's first significant role in "If Ever I See You Again."
|by Anonymous||reply 273||Last Tuesday at 8:19 AM|

|by Anonymous||reply 274||Last Tuesday at 8:29 AM|
R259 If they stayed in Hawaii, we never would have gotten this
|by Anonymous||reply 275||Last Tuesday at 9:43 AM|
They nailed it with Ladd and then colossally bungled it with Hack and Roberts.
I think it just shows how difficult it was to replace Kate Jackson. She may not have been the lead, technically, but she was the most believable as a detective and she pretty much always played the alpha of the trio. As someone else pointed out, Hack was too much like Jaclyn Smith’s character and it wouldn’t have been logical for her to come in and assume that leader role anyway. Why the writers didn’t recognize that and attempt to move Ladd or Smith in that direction probably reflects how little they thought about the characters. There’s a quote from one of the writers in the Charlie’s Angels Casebook where he had to ask his wife the name of Smith’s character when he was working on a script. And that happened in either the 4th or 5th season. To them the women were interchangeable.
Speaking of opening credits, does anyone know what episode that first shot of Cheryl running down the hill is from ? I can't remember ever seeing it in an episode.
It was the Sammi Davis Jr episode. She was pretending to be a passing jogger but was actually doing security detail at Sammi’s estate as he’d been recently kidnapped. They hired a lookalike to make the kidnappers believe they had the wrong guy.

r277 Thank you so much. I've missed that episode since they've been repeating them.
|by Anonymous||reply 278||Last Tuesday at 10:01 AM|
Maybe they didn’t like one another...but these two looked good together!

This is a real question, please don't flame me but ... just curious, here's a long thread about a trashy tv show from the 80s -- is this a lesbian thing? A gay male thing? I mean, 280 posts about a replacement actress on a crappy show? I don't get it, but I'd like to understand it.
|by Anonymous||reply 280||Last Tuesday at 12:26 PM|
Don't flame me but...is it your first day on Datalounge, r280? Otherwise forgotten TV actresses is what we live for!
|by Anonymous||reply 281||Last Tuesday at 1:13 PM|
r260 Does anyone have Bea Arthur’s screen test for CA? I thought that she was considered for a replacement for Kate.
That would have been the most amazing thing EVAH!
|by Anonymous||reply 282||Last Tuesday at 1:25 PM|
Someone should create a project for Shelley and Karen Cellini.
|by Anonymous||reply 283||Last Tuesday at 1:42 PM|
Martin Kove was so hot on the Sammie Davis Jr episode!
It's said that for most of season 3, Cheryl and Kate barely had scenes together - sad since they were the two best actresses on the show.
David Doyle always said he thought Cheryl was the best actress.
Cheryl's eyes turned into slits very shortly after Angels ended. I don't know if it was a bad facelift or what, but she never looked the same again.
|by Anonymous||reply 284||Last Tuesday at 2:45 PM|
Cheryl wasn't very nice to Ritchie Cuningham

I loved Tiff in glasses
|by Anonymous||reply 286||Last Tuesday at 2:49 PM|
Tiff was smart and attractive
|by Anonymous||reply 287||Last Tuesday at 3:05 PM|
Tiff should have stayed on and run the agency ... she was THAT good!

I love the idea of shelley just letting herself grow old naturally. It must be a relief when you're famous and you just say enough. Take a look.
|by Anonymous||reply 292||Last Tuesday at 3:22 PM|
I’m growing old kicking and screaming all the way.
|by Anonymous||reply 293||Last Tuesday at 3:28 PM|
You had to be a kid/young adult in the mid 70s.
The show was an absolute phenomenon.
Keep in mind, there was no internet, no cell phones, no movies to rent, no video games.
When my nieces and nephews were young I got a kick out of telling them....
Look, when we were kids, we had exactly once chance a year to watch Wizard of Oz, or Rudolph, or the Grinch who Stole Christmas.
If you missed it, you missed it.
Better luck next year.

r235, Zora kicked Kris' ass! I crack up every time I watch that scene. I think that was the worst ass whupping any Angel had got and all Zora did was popped her 3 good times and threw her across the whole length of the room. LOL!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 295||Last Tuesday at 5:54 PM|
Tiff would have intellectually reasoned with Zora.

“And you have to love Kelly's habit of dispensing random beatdowns in S5.”
r258, I lived for those beat downs when I see the S5 reruns. There was the one where Kelly whipped the Asian guy’s ass in his own shop. He blocked all his punches and hauled off and bopped the crap out of him. If that wasn’t enough, she walked up on him like she dared him to take another shot. Dumb ass did and she karate flipped him into the bookshelves. LOL!!!
Then there was that moment when the crook was trying to escape by running around the pool. Kelly met him on the other side and punched him in the stomach like a street thug from The Wire. I love me some Kelly Garrett.
Both episodes are from the ones set in Hawaii. Those Hawaii episodes were pretty good. I loved those Kelly kick ass scenes because it was almost like a throwback to the first season where she was mainly known as the cool collected ass kicking one in the group.

“I wonder how long it took for Tiffany to drown.”
|by Anonymous||reply 300||Last Tuesday at 7:02 PM|
Anyone have a picture of Tiffany in that beautiful champagne colored silk halter necked sheath evening gown? I remember being mesmerized at how beautiful she looked in that episode. I believe she was dancing with Bosley.
|by Anonymous||reply 301||Last Tuesday at 7:09 PM|
R298- Was that from season 1? Who was the woman who assaulted Kelly?
|by Anonymous||reply 302||Last Tuesday at 7:11 PM|
Here you go.
|by Anonymous||reply 303||Last Tuesday at 7:13 PM|
R298 I think you mean who was that lesbian who attacked Kelly.
|by Anonymous||reply 304||Last Tuesday at 7:23 PM|
Yes. Season 1... Night of the Strangler.

JS looked amazing in season 1.
|by Anonymous||reply 307||Last Tuesday at 7:59 PM|
Even after getting shot in the head!
|by Anonymous||reply 308||Last Tuesday at 8:03 PM|
Tom Selleck was also in love with Kelly(Season 1).
|by Anonymous||reply 309||Last Tuesday at 8:05 PM|
R303, thanks. You could really see the former model in that episode. Only she could pull that dress off.
|by Anonymous||reply 310||Last Tuesday at 8:23 PM|
R308 She didn't even bleed after being shot in the head. And somehow miraculously doesn't even have a hint of a scar afterwards.
The writers were so lazy that Kelly got shot in the head AGAIN in the series finale. She didn't bleed that time either, but grabbed the sides of her head like she had a killer migraine and screamed.

Tiff and Boz contemplate the unfavorable hairstyles of the Munroe sisters.

Cheryl said Farrah wasn't particularly friendly to her during her returns. She didn't want to be there at all. There was even some tension between Farrah with both Kate and Jaclyn at first.
|by Anonymous||reply 313||Last Tuesday at 8:49 PM|
Really? I never heard anything other than Farrah was cordial.
My favorite Charlie's Angels episode is Little Angels of the Night. S2, ep 21.
In an apartment building where many of the tenants are prostitutes, someone is killing them, so the owner calls Charlie. Kris and Kelly move in and they have their eye on the creepy guy who works at the nearby restaurant who delivers the food there.
Freddie is the creepy pizza delivery guy and the whores at the apartment building scream FREDDIE YOU CREEP!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 314||Last Tuesday at 10:33 PM|
r235 I wish Zora would have beat the crap out of Tiffany instead of poor little Kris.
I once read an article by a doctor about unrealistic violence in movies. One thing he pointed out was (aside from people not dying immediately after being shot) that if you knock someone unconscious, you may well have given them brain damage.
But people in dramas are always getting hit on the head, then coming to with a slight headache.
|by Anonymous||reply 315||Last Tuesday at 10:40 PM|
Kelly was shot in the head...twice? That explains so much...
|by Anonymous||reply 316||Yesterday at 2:52 AM|
Don't forget Beamish was fingerbanging her when she was little.
|by Anonymous||reply 317||Yesterday at 3:18 AM|
You should really STOP telling that story, R263.
|by Anonymous||reply 318||Yesterday at 9:28 AM|
Yeah, and I never liked the mom on Family. Something about her was off.
|by Anonymous||reply 319||Yesterday at 9:49 AM|
And she was injected with heroin multiple times, r316 and r317!
|by Anonymous||reply 320||Yesterday at 12:17 PM|
I think today is last of Tiffany on MeTV.
|by Anonymous||reply 321||a day ago|
Julie got off to a good start, but then they made character very inconsistent. They should've had the character kept the tough edge she had at first. Tanya Roberts was willing to be physical and did most of own stunts on the show (like Kate Jackson).
|by Anonymous||reply 322||a day ago|
I found Julie to be an odd choice - she was a sexpot with more T&A to get male viewers, but she came off as dumb. The reason Cheryl Ladd was so successful is that men AND women liked her and she seemed smart (actually a lot smarter than Jill) enough to solve mysteries.
Smart is never a word that I would use to describe Julie.
|by Anonymous||reply 323||a day ago|
Cheap whore with early onset of old lady voice is how I would describe Julie. I hated everything about her.
|by Anonymous||reply 324||a day ago|
Julie Rogers was my fave
|by Anonymous||reply 325||21 hours ago|
R314 - Both Cheryl and Jaclyn looked great in that episode.
|by Anonymous||reply 326||19 hours ago|
Valley of the Dolls
|by Anonymous||reply 327||19 hours ago|
Season 4 needed more fun moments like this.
|by Anonymous||reply 328||19 hours ago|
R314, I loved that episode, too. I remember thinking that the actor who played Freddie was actually kinda cute.
R321, yes, today was the last of Tiffany. Checking the online guide, oddly, they are not starting with Julie's introductory episode tomorrow. They're jumping to episode three when Kris was kidnapped by that psycho and his crazy kids.
|by Anonymous||reply 329||18 hours ago|
It would be better with Shelley Hack, Rose!
|by Anonymous||reply 330||18 hours ago|
r325 Julie Rogers was my fave
She made those other dried-up bitches look like the crones they were.
|by Anonymous||reply 331||17 hours ago|
She didn't even look good in her prime, R331.
|by Anonymous||reply 332||17 hours ago|
STFU - she was gorgeous, with an incredible body.
|by Anonymous||reply 333||17 hours ago|
The hell she was.
She came off as a cheap, stupid skank.
|by Anonymous||reply 334||16 hours ago|
Julie kind of looks like a tranny there...
and her voice was terrible.
|by Anonymous||reply 335||16 hours ago|
Tanya was a pretty big sex symbol for a while. So obviously a lot of people found her attractive. She was in Playboy, and in high profile stuff that she got for her looks, like being in the James Bond movie. Even in the 90s she did the softcore movies that played on Cable all the time. Even on That 70s Show, she was Donna's hot mom.
|by Anonymous||reply 336||16 hours ago|
r336 She was in Playboy, and in high profile stuff that she got for her looks,

At least Tiffany got to solve the case in the last episode all by herself. Of course, they couldn't bother putting her in the last shot.
That episode really missed a chance to have a Dynasty like catfight in the mansion pool between Kelly and Kris. I also love how they both never stop to realize what a sleaze the Patrick Duffy character was.

Did Madison (Demi Moore) replace Kelly after she got shot in the face again?
