Pelosi basically told that fat piece of shit to fuck right off and he could give his SOTU address in the House Of Representatives WHEN SHE SAYS HE CAN.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 23, 2019 7:05 PM |
Didn’t Stormy also receive threats? A pattern? He and his shit family are thugs. I believe Cohen on this.
Also support Nan even if it all seems so childish. Sometimes you just have to lower yourself to another in order to get thru to them.

I wonder if he'll come to the Capitol with a small military force and then push his way onto the floor.

R14, I think that might be... Really something impeachable.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 23, 2019 7:22 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 23, 2019 7:36 PM |
So I guess earlier posters were right about the possibility of 22 congressman being indicted. Turns out 22 of them opposed barring President Trump from exiting NATO.
22 of them are under Putin's control. and that's just the House!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 23, 2019 7:38 PM |
Thanks for the tread.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 23, 2019 7:40 PM |
Oh, I don't think it's Trump and Giuliani that are threatening Cohen. I think this comes from above, from Putin.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 23, 2019 7:43 PM |
R20, excellent they identified themselves. Now the press and people can start to investigate them.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 23, 2019 7:44 PM |
The irony is Cohen used to be the one who threaten other people for Trump! The circle of jerks!
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 23, 2019 7:49 PM |
Not your best title. Try harder next time.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 23, 2019 7:50 PM |
I mean, Putin literally poisons and kills people in almost full view and gets away with it. Imagine the threats that are coming to Cohen and others.

Maduro blocks relations with the US, expels US diplomats.

He can't just go to war with Venezuela. There's no real conflict yet. Nothing to justify war.

R27 Trump is essentially legitimizing a "colored revolution" type coup in another country. He's rolling his dice. If it works he can claim the credit. If it doesn't he will denounce the suppression. He is playing with people's lives but we know that has never stopped him in his egomaniacal pursuit of self glory.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 23, 2019 7:57 PM |
Putin is friends with the current Venezuelan regime. Maybe Trump traded Syria for Venezuela?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 23, 2019 7:59 PM |
R33 There's no real friends in geopolitics... only you and the other countries you can manipulate. Going after Venezuela takes the heat off Russia-gate for a bit. It's just distraction... probably won't even amount to much. The Venezuelan regime only has a problem if the army changes side.

OP, ignore the cunt at r25, your newest thread title is fine.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 23, 2019 8:05 PM |
R35 Postpone is the keyword... the word du jour! Very apropriate!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 23, 2019 8:07 PM |
Brilliant title yet again, OP. Very timely, between Nancy and Cohen.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 23, 2019 8:27 PM |
Nancy is bringing true power back to the House and the Legislative Branch.

CNN's Jeremy Herb:
Rep. Stephen Lynch, a senior member of the Oversight Committee, says he expects Cummings will issue a subpoena for Cohen's testimony.
Lynch said that he's spoken with Cummings, and the "overwhelming consensus" among panel members is that Cohen should be subpoenaed.

So, the rotting orange pisspot in the White House has moved on from threatening a woman he was intimate with to threatening an entire family! What an utter piece of shit he continues to prove he is.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 23, 2019 8:52 PM |
R25 try harder at your trolling game. You'll never earn a full ration with that pathetic attempt.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 23, 2019 8:55 PM |
R41 I remember Trump's thugs threatened Stormy's kid, too. Was Cohen involved in that as well?
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 23, 2019 8:56 PM |
That's right, R43. I forgot he'd already threatened a child, along with a woman. Thank you.
His little mushroom button must have twitched, threatening an entire family, this time!
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 23, 2019 9:00 PM |
It's funny that even after Nancy making a fool out of him twice... he still doesn't have a nickname for her.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 23, 2019 9:01 PM |
Fox News is on (not my choice) and they just showed Dotard blaming Nancy for cancelling his speech and saying she's destroying the constitution and using fake reasons (security) to do so....
And this idiot who's commenting is saying he's thankful to Dotard for doing this because we don't need a State of the Union and just like the Correspondent's Dinner, it's great he's cancelling these things because it's excess and the country doesn't need them.
Uh... so which is it? Is it Nancy's fault and she's trying to destroy the Constitution by not allowing him a State of the Union --- or is Dotard a hero for supposedly doing away with it?
Jesus, Rethugs are stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 23, 2019 9:04 PM |
[quote]he still doesn't have a nickname for her.
He doesn't do that with people who intimidate him. He doesn't have one for Mueller either.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 23, 2019 9:05 PM |
R45 What's in the Constitution: Checks and Balances among the three branches of government! The Speaker has the obligation to counter a President behaving badly and irresponsibly.

by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 23, 2019 10:06 PM |
Do we have any sense of what threats have been made to Cohen's family? Is it what Trump and Giuliani said on TV and in tweets or is there something else/more?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 23, 2019 10:08 PM |
R51 What's puzzling is why is the FBI/law enforcement not be all over this if the accusation is being reported so publicly. Threatening someone and his family for testifying to Congress is very much illegal. Even if it's a Trump surrogate (which Cohen himself once was) was doing the threatening, he or she should be arrested/investigated immediately.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 23, 2019 10:14 PM |
Why can't the fat orange fuck just DIE?!?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 23, 2019 10:15 PM |
r51....Just Trump bringing up Cohens father in law is intimidation....he basically alluded to the FIL being guilty of crimes...since there are no known charges it also becomes a veiled threat.
SIDE NOTE....RIGHT NOW ON aRI mELBER....jEROME cORSI, sAM nUNBERG, cARTER pAGE AND mICHAEL cAPUTO.....
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 23, 2019 10:17 PM |
[quote] R45: It's funny that even after Nancy making a fool out of him twice... he still doesn't have a nickname for her.
He says he calls her “Nancy”, R45. Do you think someone should tell him that’s actually her name?
Ok, first name only is still disrespectful. Maybe he should just be disinvited completely?
by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 23, 2019 10:18 PM |
The world should just recognize Nancy Pelosi as US Interim President. This thing is gonna get ugly. Trump is a cornered rat. If he gives in, he's as good as dead politically. If he doesn't, both he and the GOP will have to face the wrath of the people. Protests are already starting to gain momentum.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 23, 2019 10:33 PM |
And his poll numbers slide into Oblivion, r56.
And this is without anything from Mueller or Cohen.
Just think how low he can go when we see those tax returns and indictments.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | January 23, 2019 10:44 PM |
There is no easier way to get people angry at you than hitting their pocket books. Trump is being extremely stupid with this prolonged shutdown, but we all know he is stupidity personified. He got pampered and kowtowed to for 2 years by the GOP Congress and has no idea bullying will not work with a hostile House.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | January 23, 2019 10:44 PM |
[quote]He says he calls her “Nancy”
Funnily enough, that’s also his nickname for Miz Lindsey.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 23, 2019 10:50 PM |
Trump has no nickname for neither Pelosi, Mueller nor Putin. The three he fears.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 23, 2019 11:00 PM |
R52, I’ve thought about that too. And the only answer I can come up with is that he’s POTUS. He’s committing these crimes right out in the open AND let’s face it, the POTUS gets special treatment. We’ve never before had a POTUS completely vandalize, abuse, and shit upon every single norm and tradition. Because the POTUS has certain Executive Privileges, each event has to be individually scrutinized according to POTUS’ unique privileges within the parameters of the Law. It’s complicated.
The shorter answer is that none of us were ready for this, including the FBI and our Constitution. Fortunately, we are adapting at lightening speed.

I met with a CIO from DHS today who said Trump is playing 3 dimensional chess. I almost laughed in his face but couldn't unfortunately.

I predict when the shutdown protests start to gain attention. The protesters would clearly be angry with Trump but the media will report they are anger at both sides!

The best part of my week was watching that smirky catholic douche show off his JANKY ass teeth on NBC. Haha his parents should have spent that PR firm money on some braces.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | January 24, 2019 12:04 AM |
Something about Ari is insincere IMO. He has a really high opinion of himself. Sort of conceited. Also he's an ass kisser. Now, granted the people whose asses Ari usually kisses are VIP Liberal Legal scholars with a stellar reputation, some even legends in their own time. And he is so impressed with himself for sitting there with them. It's not the same as Chris Cuomo who has that enormous ego and loves to hang with Giuliani and Kelly Ann, and act like an asshole.
my favorite Legal guy is Toobin. I've read a couple of his books, also read Tapper's book on the 2000 election. Toobin is IMO the smartest of the three.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | January 24, 2019 12:07 AM |
The media can be critiqued when it's all over. If they "both sides" the escalating anger over the shutdown out of a fear of upsetting conservatives, then they have absolutely no use whatsoever.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | January 24, 2019 12:12 AM |
You know this stuff writes itself. If the news media just reports the unvarnished facts, just tells us what has happened, then it would be very clear there's not a "both sides." When you're wrong, your wrong. Trump wanted this shutdown for its own sake. It backfired on him. He thought he could bully and bypass Pelosi. He can't. He thought he could divide the Dems. Instead it's his own party's elected House & Senate members who are peeling off to go with Schumer and Pelosi. He is fucked. And MC Connell is fucked with him. He is opening up the floor to debate two bills tomorrow, but they re both doomed to fail. When the fuck is Mitch going to realize the time to play games is over. The people are sick of him and his bullshit. He needs to be expelled.

What's wrong with these people?

R66, I started to watch them, but they made my skin crawl so much I had to change the channel after a few minutes.
I cannot fathom what made Ari waste a second of his show on these confirmed liars, criminals, and traitors. The only thing I enjoy about his show anymore is when Mya Wiley is on. I wish MSNBC would shitcan Ari and give her his timeslot.

Moscow Mitch has (for the fourth time) denied a Senate vote to reopen the government. Surprised?Oh! get this......
"Len Blavatnik donated $3.5 million to Mitch McConnell's PAC from 2015 to 2017.
Ukrainian-born billionaire Len Blavatnik, who holds dual U.S.-U.K. citizenship, used to be a fairly run-of-the-mill campaign contributor, donating relatively modest amounts in a bipartisan fashion — and then the 2016 election cycle hit.
Beginning in 2015, Blavatnik lavished contributions on Republicans, with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell alone on the receiving end of $3.5 million between 2015 and 2017."
Also on the list of Russian gifts are Rubio and Graham...........The more the Senator gives gloating statements on Trump, and the more they defend him, the more suspect they are to Russian Money for their campaigns....
by Anonymous | reply 91 | January 24, 2019 2:03 AM |
Do all of these Russian donations only go for campaign costs or can they be used for his personal expenses?
Anyway this shutdown is going to last forever..and i mean months or until the Mueller report is released.

No, r92, as soon as the mouth breathing rednecks don't get their tax refunds, the shit will hit the fan.
And that day is fast approaching. W2's have to be issued by the end of January.
Most people file as soon as they get their w2's. The biggest filing weekend starts on February 15, 2019. If refunds aren't going out (or going out at a turtle's pace because IRS employees aren't being paid), there will be screaming like you have never heard.
And his approval numbers will go down into the low 30's and he will effectively be over.
Deplorables don't GAF now because they personally haven't been hit. But if they can't get refunds, they will be pissed.

I just forwarded a screen shot of r83 to several friends, I am tickled pink by Mother’s good taste!!
I agree, the vast majority of Americans use their tax refund as part of their actual annual budget — it isn’t a “bonus,” it’s a planned for, relief upon source of income for families. Let’s see how much these shitheels like it when daddy takes their treat away. Also, I’m really starting to realize, yes, propaganda IS powerful, but it also only goes so far and has some limitations. There is such a thing as a tipping point, or a “bullshit plateau.” I mean, just how hard can Fox and Rush and Coulter and Hannity spin this shit? At the end of the day, NO REFUND. I suspect even the most devout Deplorables and church-goers will start realizing that they’re getting it up the no-no.

You can't tell me a good portion of the Red-Neck, Trailer-Park, Faux News watching Trumpster crowd aren't on the receiving end of those benefits. This shutdown is part of a larger strategy to dismantle our government. It's a goal the Extreme Right and the Kochs have been working towards for years. Starving government with ridiculous tax cuts was step one. And just wait until Medicare and Social Security are affected. Rupert Murdoch's Fox News has gotten more extreme with propaganda. A few there such as Sheppard Smith, Chris Wallace, and Judge Napolitano, have indicated this appeal to the far- right with Trumpian allegiance using distorted facts, is problematic.
Also, one of Cohen's few 'clients' was Sean Hannity. Some of that intimidation effort on Cohen may directly relate to that.
by Anonymous | reply 144 | January 24, 2019 2:41 PM |
I wonder how much was really there re: intimidation on Cohen. Was it just the comment about his father-in-law? Some pundit was saying if that was what he was referring to there wouldn't be much of a case for anyone to claim obstruction or witness tampering.
Was it all just to get out of testifying at all? The same pundits were saying it's now unlikely he'll reschedule and instead just go straight to prison.

The Senate Intel Committee may interview Cohen in closed session, or at least part of it. While the Republicans are the majority, there are some good members on that Committee, and they have long been working together systematically, and don't display disturbing conflicts before the media and public.
The House Oversight and Judiciary Committees can still subpoena Cohen. They may want to do so soon, because Cohen is due to report to prison during March, 2019. While the House Democrats have the majority on these committees, there is Devin Nunes and his cohorts on the House Judiciary Committee that will STILL report and coordinate with Trump throughout the process.
In a closed Senate Intel session, Senators will not be playing for the camera, and will feel less need to show partisanship. That may extract more details from Cohen, and probing questions will get asked and have him on record. I don't view the Senate Intel Committee going first as problematic. That's certainly better than a no-show.

Well, maybe R224, assuming you are not R219. It's the guy trying to perpetuate the Pelosi-AOC conflict.
R219 Pelosi was not mentioned in my post. I was referencing AOC. You made a false assumption with zero basis. You chose to try to generate a flawed connection and I called you out on it. I am a regular poster and have few posts on Pelosi, and they are fundamentally very positive. Again, I'll take the bet. Place your wager. Rubles, Alt-right dollars, what you offering?

With the Roger Stone news, this momentous story from last night is getting pushed aside:
Jared Kushner's application for a top secret clearance was rejected by two career White House security specialists after an FBI background check raised concerns about potential foreign influence on him — but their supervisor overruled the recommendation and approved the clearance.
After Kline overruled the White House security specialists and recommended Kushner for a top secret clearance, Kushner's file then went to the CIA for a ruling on SCI.
After reviewing the file, CIA officers who make clearance decisions balked, two of the people familiar with the matter said. One called over to the White House security division, wondering how Kushner got even a top secret clearance, the sources said. Top secret information is defined as material that would cause "exceptionally grave damage" to national security if disclosed to adversaries.
by Anonymous | reply 284 | January 25, 2019 12:01 PM |
Carl Kline, the Pentagon employee who overruled WH security specialists in Kushner's case, when on to overrule career bureaucrats at least 30 times, granting top secret clearances to officials in the Executive Office of the President or the White House after adjudicators working for him recommended against doing so.

There is a big difference between “spin”, and “lying”. The Trumps, and Fox, go way over the line. They’re just plain dishonest.
Spin is putting your best foot forward. I’ve done that in interviews. But you never lie in an interview. I’ve had interviewees who put technology on their resume that they knew nothing about. Maybe they heard about it. They embarrassed themselves when asked about it. You should have a story about everything on your resume, especially when you’re more experienced.
I don’t know why Fox and Trump get away with it. When you lie, your reputation does die, as far as I’m concerned.

by Anonymous | reply 353 | January 25, 2019 6:43 PM |
I just heard something really strange. I was listening to Progress Radio and Thom Hartman was on. I mentioned earlier that I don't really like listening to him because he's too much of a Bernie fan (in fact he had him on the show today).
Anyway, he basically just said that he believes with everything that has gone on either Hillary's camp, or even just a citizen, could file fraud charges against the Trump campaign and take it to the Supreme Court and if fraud is proven, the suit could demand that Dotard and Pence both be removed from office and that Nancy, or even Hillary (as the victim of the fraud) be put into office. Thom claimed that he has brought this up with several legal scholars and no one could deny that this could not happen as there's no legal precedence.
I don't know if I agree or believe that BUT what I found interesting was that he was even talking about this because 1) I haven't heard anyone willing to bring this up before (away from DL and other message boards. 2) I've always taken from Thom that he really dislikes Hillary and 3) He literally had Bernie on the show five minutes before he said this.

I agree that citizens can be doing many things to fight back instead of waiting for Mueller. His investigation is one tool in the belt, but we need others.
His idea is worth a shot.
But otherwise people need to stop acting like they have to take whatever shit is handed to them. This goes for corporations as well. So much power of these people is because average citizens don't fight back.

by Anonymous | reply 363 | January 25, 2019 7:59 PM |
I think the people closest to Trump for the longest time are coming last in the indictments. Stone's indictment means Mueller is narrowing the gap. So Donald Trump Jr., and Jared Kushner are going to be at the tail end because they'll be the ones Trump is most likely to try to pardon.
by Anonymous | reply 364 | January 25, 2019 8:07 PM |
Mueller is working his way up the ladder, getting each indicted figure to flip on the next one above. Today's indictment references "senior campaign" officials "directing" Stone to contact WikiLeaks for dirt on Hillary. So next Stone will rat those officials out (Jared, Don Jr, Bannon), who in turn will be indicted and turn on Trump Sr.

'I think we have a good chance. We’ll work with the Democrats and negotiate and if we can’t do that, then we’ll do a – obviously we’ll do the emergency because that’s what it is. It’s a national emergency,' the president said
The short-term extension would continue current-year funding for wall repairs and fencing, at a rate of $1.3 billion for the year, CNN reported.

He’ll end the negotiations on his terms. 5) Trump will highlight during his SOTU Adress, the disgusting liberal media’s behaviour of smearing the innocent catholic kids - the very same media that supports open borders endangering our amazing nation. 6) Trump is demonstrating leadership above partisanship, principles over pettiness and the bitter vindictiveness of Nancy Pelosi. 7) Trump is RADICALLY improving his approval rating among Mexicans, Latinos, blacks and minorities who are disproportionately impacted by illegal immigration. 8) Trump has forced the Democratic Party to turn hard left, a turn that will for decades make them less attractive in our center-right nation. 9) Trump is inspiring and educating true conservatives on how to actually fight like hell, stand on principle, deliver on campaign promises and laugh in the media’s faces. 10) Trump has accomplished all this in just 2 years, in spite of losers like Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, and 98% of the Democrat-Media-Silicon Valley complex against him. 247 posted on 1/25/2019, 1:33:00 PM by RobaWho (I Love the U.S. Constitution, as written.)"

The Dems must be working on this. It’s got to be a court case if he thinks he can declare an emergency when Congress refuses to fund something, when that is explicitly explained in the Constitution as Congress’ job.
Trump has a terrible habit of bluffing. I say “terrible”, because he’s awful at it, such as here. That’s how he wants to make a deal, but he’s no good at it. He’s a terrible negotiator.

And what will create total chaos? The fall of the GOP establishment.

Anyone who ever tries bothsiderism at this point will get the Batman slap. I saw on CNN that maybe now both sides will have incentive to negotiate and find a deal. You cannot negotiate from a standpoint of being willing to shutdown the govt. That is not how you run the govt. Ever. Give him ANYTHING he asks for that he is willing to shutdown the govt and he will do it every fucking time he (Putin)wants something.
Nancy outplayed him. He didn't "give" her any wins. She boxed his fatass in. He wanted that SOTU address sooooooo bad he caved. She played him expertly. Who didn't want her as Speaker?????????

by Anonymous | reply 388 | January 25, 2019 10:17 PM |
If McConnell would have really wanted that wall he could have pushed it through when the GOP controlled both the House and the Senate.
The only thing McConnell can be blamed for is not acting when he had the chance and Deplorables have to ask themselves the uncomfortable question why he didn't push it through when he had the means when they sure as hell don't like the answer to that question.

What would be in it for Dump to pardon Stone? Remember Cheeto never does anything for anyone other than himself. The idea that he would pardon Stone due to some kind of loyalty - even though it would do him no good politically - seems fanciful.

R464, yep, that's been the pattern. I think they were drunk on Power Kool-Aid, in addition to being stupid and oblivious.
The Bannon connection is fascinating to me, because early on he was such a villain, but then scurried under the floorboards away from the light--except for stirring up shit in Europe of course. I thought he might have been too clever to implicate himself, but now it seems to be a possibility.
No Bernie or Gillibrand for me. Instead, I hope Warren, Klobuchar, or Harris win the Primaries. Beto as VP would be cool. And I nominate Mueller for sainthood.

Fox is gosh awful in spinning for Stone. I don't watch Fox News, but Fox Insider headlines and related clips appear during political topic searches. Below is an example. This Martha MacCallum show acts like news, but is just the same propaganda as may be seen with Tucker, Pirro, etc. Lindsey Graham frequently cites his appearances on the show.
Here's Fox and McCallum having Michael Caputo as the authoritative source per Stone declaring "absolutely no linkage". Yes, THAT Michael Caputo. Of course Fox won't have anyone on that could refute or challenge those assertions, point by point.
Rupert Murdoch is never held to account.

You can never trust that crazy fucker, Roger...he lies constantly, just like Trump. Mueller could not trust him.
by Anonymous | reply 473 | January 26, 2019 1:57 PM |
Yes, I'm sure that will play into his defense. "He's such an inveterate liar, he can't distinguish between truth and falsehood anymore." "He truly believes the lies he says." The Manhattan Madam yesterday previewed another line of defense yesterday: "He's old and he can't remember things like he used to."
by Anonymous | reply 474 | January 26, 2019 2:01 PM |
Roger Stone is age 66. He ain't that old. He's younger than Robert Mueller who appears to comprehend Stone's behavior.

I should know this, but can pathological lying be included in an insanity defense?
by Anonymous | reply 476 | January 26, 2019 2:30 PM |
No way r476, and here’s why. They have dozens and dozens and dozens of examples of them hiding their behavior with their lies, which is consciousness of guilt. Sure, it’s high-risk behavior, but they clearly knew it was wrong because they tried to hide it. That’s not insanity, it’s just evil.

That's always a very good sign of guilt. People like him usually take an "I'm not worried" attitude when they get arrested, show big smiles in their mug shots, because they delusionally think if they make it look like they're not guilty they won't be found guilty. It's not until the guilty verdict is read in court that all that bravado goes away real fast.

He got nothing, and he weakened himself in the process. This "great negotiator" exposed himself in a way that even his ardent supporters now see that he has feet of clay. He looks like the incompetent boob that he has always been. It was foolish for many reasons to go into this with all bluster and bravado and absolutely nothing to back it up. Had anyone in the WH given this even a moment of thought, they would have realized how inevitable and predictable this outcome would be and how devastating it will become in the weeks and months ahead.
Whatever hastens his downfall is just fine.

R481 - “I thought living in Ft Lauderdale was bad enough - but 117th St. - WTF?”
481 - Your comment is obnoxious, and ill-informed.
You obviously know very little about Ft Lauderdale and Harlem. I live in a nice mid-rise condo located a block away from Lauderdale beach. Stone lives a few miles down the road in a waterfront home.
Stone’s apartment on 117 St in Harlem is located in a high-end neighborhood, as is most of Harlem nowadays, due to considerable gentrification.

by Anonymous | reply 516 | January 26, 2019 8:13 PM |
With regard to R354, interestingly enough I just found out that there is a precedent for doing as he suggested.
Apparently in PA there was an issue in a Senate Race where the Democratic Candidate committed fraud and the courts put the loser of the election into office because of the fraud.
[quote]The way it was supposed to work is that a Senator should have taken up one of the many objections made by House Members for the electoral vote. In the supposed interest of "peaceful transfer of power" Joe Biden shut down all debate and would not allow any Senators to allow investigations into the election to go forward in the Senate. He closed the session without hearing objections and the Electoral College voted before having all the information they needed to make sure the election was legitimate.

Mueller may indict (perhaps sealed) DJT as a co-conspirator with existing and perhaps indictments soon to come, i. e. Junior Mint, Jared, maybe a few others. As co-conspirator in indictments on the same/similar charges, DJT pardoning them would be problematic even though he could try to pardon himself first, which would ultimately be contested before the U.S. Supreme Court, and would certainly generate the impeachment endeavor if it is not already formally underway by that time. Or, Trump could offer to resign if Pence promised to pardon him and family members. Of course, that's assuming Pence, himself, escapes charges.
My belief is that AG nominee Barr will really be there to protect Pence, McConnell, and a few other members of Congress from being snared....thus not meddling with Mueller's indictments of Trump's inner circle of collaborators, but protect the broader network of House/Senate figures and a couple of Governors, whose PACs got big contributions from oligarchs tied to Putin. Barr's record is very pro-NRA, and I wouldn't dismiss that he would keep procecutors from probing deeper there.

Sam Nunberg thought of Stone as a father figure/mentor, and said he would never testify against him. Then he sobered-up, literally. He recently said, that he wouldn’t be in trouble except for Stone. He seemed to feel that he was betrayed, and I’ve no doubt he was.

These people need to be rounded up.
How in their little brains are they patriots?
by Anonymous | reply 575 | January 27, 2019 3:21 AM |
these assholes love to announce their intention to never turn, and then turn on a dime. They are big stupid boastful mobsters (okay Stone ain't stupid, but ...), who love to scream about how loyal and tough they are about five minutes before turning. Seriously, instead of pundits, we need actual mobsters on TV predicting how soon any of these bitches fold. They actually know about this shit.

People like those guys at R575 *should* spend some time in a totalitarian state. That would fix their wagons.
by Anonymous | reply 577 | January 27, 2019 3:24 AM |
R574 and that's exactly what we have to look forward to. They're all going to end up flipping on each other.
I still maintain that no one will flip on each other more than the Drumpfs themselves. I can't wait. I also still maintain that Ivanka and Jared will both sell each other out, if they haven't already.

R578 I agree except I would bet the one too stupid to flip on anyone would be Junior Mint. He'll go on to the bitter end thinking Daddy will save him, and of course, Dear Daddy won't. Instead he'll let Junior go to prison thinking that will be the end of it all.

R575 and yet they got offended that HRC called them Deplorable.
Newsflash, she was right... just like she was right about everything else that ever came out of her damn mouth.
by Anonymous | reply 580 | January 27, 2019 3:27 AM |
HRC should be president, but here's the good thing about her loss. We are now pissed and focused like we haven't been in decades. We are tired of this shit, and not just Trump, but all this shit, all these assholes who think the rich are sacred, all these assholes who think that sucking Russia's cock is totally okay, all these assholes who think that the worst thing you can do to this country is give it health care. We are pissed, and we are aware, and we are ready to take this motherfucking country back.
by Anonymous | reply 581 | January 27, 2019 3:31 AM |
Exactly, r580. One of the reasons well-meaning politicians (there are a few), can't tell the whole truth, is because people get upset when they tell the truth.

So Cohen and Junior Mint both got guns without proper licensing.
by Anonymous | reply 585 | January 27, 2019 4:05 AM |
You know how those lions were attacking the "hunters," hunting them?
Has Junior gone there yet?
by Anonymous | reply 586 | January 27, 2019 4:07 AM |
Bajour!
by Anonymous | reply 587 | January 27, 2019 4:09 AM |
R586 that would be too good for him. He needs to wear an orange jumpsuit and love every minute of the loving he gets in the big house. He'll have to learn to take it like the Senatrice.
by Anonymous | reply 588 | January 27, 2019 4:11 AM |
True. I do want to see him crying while in cuffs. You know he will be.
by Anonymous | reply 589 | January 27, 2019 4:13 AM |
God, please please please.
by Anonymous | reply 591 | January 27, 2019 4:17 AM |
Jr Mint in handcuffs is going to be one of those, "Where we you when..." moments.
by Anonymous | reply 592 | January 27, 2019 4:19 AM |
I want a perp walk, with as many cameras filming as possible.
by Anonymous | reply 593 | January 27, 2019 4:21 AM |
I know this is completely off topic, but it isn't really. A rich white guy doing the perp walk might help race relations in this country more than a thousand MLK speeches.

R593 judging from the other day, they'll be ready.
Which reminds me, how did CNN know to be there?
by Anonymous | reply 595 | January 27, 2019 4:23 AM |
Can you imagine Donald trying to give a State of the Union (it's apparently back on for this Wednesday) knowing that his son's been indicted and in jail? The long-desired stroke on national TV ... it feels so attainable.

Is he planning on doing the SOTU on Weds? Is that why he caved so he could get his little speech?
by Anonymous | reply 598 | January 27, 2019 4:24 AM |
You said it, R594!
by Anonymous | reply 599 | January 27, 2019 4:24 AM |
R596 don't get carried away. He doesn't care enough about Jr to have a stroke.
by Anonymous | reply 600 | January 27, 2019 4:24 AM |
weirdly, the guy that ghost wrote Art of the Deal predicted exactly that, R598, that he would fold only because he really needs to give that stupid speech in that stupid chamber.
