Julie Swetnick. She claims Kavanaugh and Mark Judge along with other boys gang raped here. She claims this was typical behavior by Kavanaugh and Judge.
**BREAKING** Avenatti reveals his Kavanaugh client

"I also witnessed efforts by Mark Judge, Brett Kavanaugh and others to cause girls to become inebriated and disoriented so they could then be 'gang raped' in a side room or bedroom by a 'train' of numerous boys. I have a firm recollection of seeing boys lined up outside rooms at many of these parties waiting for their 'turn' with a girl inside the room. These boys included Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh. In approximately 1982, I became the victim of one of these 'gang' or 'train' rapes where Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh were present. Shortly after the incident, I shared what had transpired with at least two other people. During the incident, I was incapacitated without my consent and unable to fight off the boys raping me. I believe I was drugged using Quaaludes or something similar placed in what I was drinking."
by Anonymous | reply 3 | September 26, 2018 3:12 PM |
Impossible, I was a virgin until I was 54! "What's a vagina?" I always said! I've never even drunk delicious alcohol! Ask any of my wealthy classmates with business before the court!

Avenatti is on the phone with Whoopi right now. You can re-start the show from the begining if you have cable.

The key to her story
[quote] Shortly after the incident, I shared what had transpired with at least two other people.
So she told two people almost immediately after it happened. They are very, very important people to this inquiry.

She was worked for various federal agencies and has held numerous security clearances, not some random crazy person r8.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 26, 2018 3:20 PM |
Now how does he (Avenatti) go about getting this out tomorrow in what sounds like a very controlled and scheduled "hearing"? Won't they just tell him to take a hike?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 26, 2018 3:20 PM |
She is saying girls attended parties where drinks were spiked and then they were raped.
But these girls kept going to these parties? Did they not tell their parents and their parents did nothing? How come no parents of said girls coming forward?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 26, 2018 3:20 PM |
Parents could be elderly or dead.

by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 26, 2018 3:22 PM |
The "I had no sexual intercourse" means I didn't stick my dick in a vagina if she was not black out drunk or drugged. Maybe he got off on watching his frat bros rape them. Even Gay men know how many ways men can have sex with women without penetration of the vagina. He and Judge must have been really fucked up to attack a girl who wasn't incapacitated.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 26, 2018 3:23 PM |
She saw these boys stand outside the room waiting to take their turn raping drunk girls many times...yet she kept going to these parties and became one of these girls herself. WTF???
Why would she keep going to these parties?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 26, 2018 3:23 PM |
Trolls are saying she hasn’t implicated Kav in the rapes. I just think even if he was present during these crimes then he is an accessory. That’s bad enough

by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 26, 2018 3:24 PM |
It also doesn't mean: "I haven't facilitated rapes by holding women down or spiking their drinks." You don't need to stick it in in order to be fully complicit in a gang rape.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 26, 2018 3:24 PM |

The latter is coming from a very prolific troll, *very* invested in defending Kavanaugh and discrediting Avenatti and the victims. Does Mark Judge know about DL?

Jeez, Heavy.com sure is quick. 😂 If the site was around during 9/11, they would’ve identified Al-Qaeda as the culprits before the government did.

Avenatti is an American hero.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 26, 2018 3:27 PM |
Was he the one who found them? And got off on watching? Maybe egging them on? If you were in the room when it happened and didn't stop it or report it then you are complicit. If it happened again and again then you are an accessory to multiple crimes. We all need to rewatch The Accused. DL lawyers correct me if I am wrong.

by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 26, 2018 3:30 PM |
There is a huge difference between attending such a party, you could be drinking downstairs and say being in that room upstairs, holding down the girl. She attended the party too. Is she guilty also? She kept going and going...how come she never reported to her parents or other adults?

I went to a major party school (ucsb), attended tons of keggers, and saw my share of drunkin mayham, but I never saw this train gang rape phenomenom. Sure people hooked up, but it wasnt out for all to see. We would hear from time to time about rapes where a girl would be seperated from friends and isolated in a room which is why friends and eye tried to always have someone relatively sober to keep an eye on the rest of us. Had we seen a gang raped going on we would have intervened to stop it, drunkn or not. We would have sent pur male roomates to detain the guys and shut it down and call the cops.
On the other hand if I was in high school and in a really clicky culture, not sure I would have had that kind of maturity. I am not sure I would have said or done anything out of fear.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | September 26, 2018 3:35 PM |
Rapist scum.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | September 26, 2018 3:36 PM |
To all of the trolls questioning why these girls didn't report, or continued to go to these parties, do you really not understand the concept of how our powerful elite maintain control through generations? Why they, the rapists, targeted poorer, non-prep-school girls? Why girls and women don't come forward, even now? Is this really that hard of a concept?
by Anonymous | reply 44 | September 26, 2018 3:36 PM |
Even if Kavanaughty makes it out of Committee on Friday (11-10), there will be more time for more revelations to hit the fan before the full Senate vote. At least a couple of GOP votes can peel off, especially if Collins and Murkowski jump together).

R58 is right. They know what'll be discovered. They withheld like 90% of his papers because he's so weird about sex and writes granularly about it in his memos (e.g., questions to ask Clinton re sex acts w/ Lewinsky). He's obsessed. Like Thomas was.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | September 26, 2018 3:42 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 64 | September 26, 2018 3:43 PM |
Her statement does say that the guys lined up to have sex with a drunk girl "included" Kavanaugh and Judge. Enough with the "she doesn't name them as participating" nonsense. She also comes close to saying that they were among the guys who raped her, but only says they were "present"—could have been present at the same party, or present in the same room.
R59, my understanding is that the FBI needs an order to investigate Kavanaugh's background, and the White House won't issue that order.

SNL needs to do a satire of his introduction and initial interview, where he talked endlessly about his girls, the basketball team, etc. Make it obvious exactly why he did it that way.
It just makes it more obvious, that he paraded his daughters and the basketball team that way. Obvious.

I'm in the UK waiting for BBC to update - they have already mentioned it as a breaking story.
And as for "Why did they still attend these parties?". I would guess this was one of those almost incestuous rich family mobs, where the kids are practically forced to socialise together. The girls almost without exception were expected to attend everything to maintain connections/bag a fellow rich dick. Girls who reported wrongs were either not believed or told to get over it and not make a fuss!

by Anonymous | reply 92 | September 26, 2018 3:53 PM |
Indeed, the current governor of Maine is batshit crazy. They still voted for him for two or three terms. Collins considered leaving the Senate and running for governor this year. Was convinced that she was more effective staying a Senator. She could still run for re-election in 2020 and drop out in 2022 to run for governor. She's old but very ambitious. Or she could drop dead before any of the above happens;)

R71, actually, there IS something salacious about that story (which is about how Kavanaugh improperly revealed grand jury testimony to the press). At issue was a strange, invasive series of questions Kavanaugh had asked about whether a witness had been cruising for gay sex in the park where Vince Foster's body was found.
Brett Kavanaugh: he's a liar, he's a creep, and he enjoys demeaning people.

I'm kind of surprised at the number of you who say that you never went to parties where this type of shit was going down. There are a lot of young women who get taken advantage of. Social position is key. You're not going to stop going to a party because you've heard rumors that it's rapey. Most girls tend to have "buddy" plans in place, but every so often one slips through the cracks and gets a train run on her by the Deke pledge class.

We women went to those parties and endured those things because no one told us that cool people didn't do those things. Especially in entitled classes. I look back and shudder at the things I survived, the sheer amount of sexual aggression and harassment because I expected it as male privilege in Texas culture. Please don't shame the survivors. They have enough shame as it is. And if you have children now, please use this as a teaching lesson for your sons and daughters.

They haven't been paying attention, r113. Avenatti may look like some slick guido hustler to some people and so they discount him but he has a fine legal mind and is a master at out thinking and out maneuvering the opposition. He's a street brawler. Which is what you need to be to go up against these scumbags.

Pull a vote, the outcome which is in doubt... (and apparently there are less guaranteed votes than you may think)
Cancel and leave the seat vacant, hoping to activate voters
Cancel and prepare for a new nominee for post-midterm examination

I assume the posters who are questioning why she went to such parties, and generally indulging in victim-blaming, are the same people who yesterday were saying Avenatti had nothing and promoting the 4chan fantasy. As if Avenatti would make any public claim based only on the say-so of a woman and male reference whom he'd never met or did any background check on; as if Avenatti had never heard of burner phones or couldn't imagine a contact lying to him.
Those posters seem to have evanesced somewhat today.

[quote]She saw these boys stand outside the room waiting to take their turn raping drunk girls many times...yet she kept going to these parties and became one of these girls herself. WTF??? Why would she keep going to these parties?
Why did so many white women vote for Trump? Patriarchy and going along to get along. Look the other way or be shunned.
Not to mention, it’s easy to be convinced that “those girls” were consenting party girls. No one wants to think that an actual crime is in progress, or that it could have been you (until it is, and you just want to forget it and pretend it didn’t happen).
Also, most of the targets tend to be girls without a posse or from outside the social circle.
by Anonymous | reply 147 | September 26, 2018 4:34 PM |
As to "why didn't their parents know and why didn't they say something back then?" Many girls who are raped do not tell their parents because they know how deeply disturbing it will be for them and that they will be deeply hurt by this act of violence against their daughter. Some can't tell their parents because they were raised by alcoholics and/or disordered narcissists who only care about themselves and who will make the situation much worse or re-traumatize them.
These girls and women also feel ashamed and embarrassed even though they are the victim, not the rapist who is the one who really should feel ashamed. They feel that their parents can't do anything about it and don't want to see them hurt over something they can't change or fix. And they are also fearful of repercussions by the rapists and those who side with the rapists. They probably already witnessed that outcome, and where people take sides, since it is fairly common.
Those were the reasons two girls and one young woman gave me when they confided that they had been raped many years earlier; one of these rapes occurred at the college (Rutgers in NJ) she attended but it was not another student. It was a campus outsider who somehow got into the student area, and another had occurred at a loud and noisy sporting event. They knew their parents couldn't do anything about it and didn't want to upset them so they told me that they never told their parents.
One of the victims told me she was sure her father would have hunted down the guy and shot him and buried him on the outskirts of their property as they had a lot of acreage and she was afraid he would be caught and imprisoned. These were also stranger rapes and the rapists were never identified where they could go after them. So they figured what was the point if they didn't know who the rapist was and didn't want to put their parents through that ordeal. Teenagers and young adults don't always make the best decisions, especially when we factor in that the human brain is not fully developed until age 25.
On another note, the fact that Kavanaugh wants to gut/overturn Roe v Wade strongly suggests that he hates women and wants to control them however he can. Control is the main motivation in rape. As we know, rape is not about the actual sex, it's about rage, hatred and control. So this all ties together. All combined this is a clear indication of misogyny, which is also indicative of a disorder, such as possibly sociopathy or NPD/narcissism.
I am not joking here and am dead serious about this comment; Trump & Co belong in a mental institution or in prison, either way behind bars. All of them. Not in government, in the White House making decisions for normal, caring, law-abiding people. What we have are criminals in power abusing their power and making decisions for non-criminals. I'd liken it to a known pedophile/registered sex offender in charge of a daycare center or a felon bank robber in charge of the bank vault. It really is baffling. And dangerous.

I heard an interesting comment yesterday on either a podcast or MSNBC that really made me pause. They said that one reason the GOP and most white men are sticking to Kavanaugh like glue is that if he goes down for this, then a huge amount of them are at risk because of what might be in their past. Whether they would be vulnerable for same or similar behavior, or for turning an eye to abuse of any degree, at any time, they are under threat. And that threat of a chink being taken out of their power structure is uniting them.

I graduated in 1986 from an all-male private high school, around Kavanaugh's time, ironically very close to Yale where Kav continued his sexist behavior. There was a group of guys from fairly wealthy families who had nice cars, partied all the time, drank and smoked pot, and bragged about having anal sex with their GFs to avoid getting them pregnant. I knew of the same type of guys in college, again a private, religious-based university in the same geographic area. For me and my friends, it would have never even crossed our minds to drug or "run a train" on someone regardless of whether alcohol was involved or not. It astounds me that some people have no morals or basic common sense about how to treat other people. Why in the world would they think it's okay to act like a bunch of cavemen? I'm not naive. I've seen plenty of bad in this world, but I just don't understand how people can be so evil to one another.

[quote]Kavanaugh is faced with two unattractive options: withdraw or testify at a high-profile hearing Thursday. He has pledged to do the latter, though either leaves his name tarnished. “It’s difficult to imagine an exit strategy that’s not personally and professionally devastating for Kavanaugh,” Jonathan Turley, a George Washington University Law School professor, told The Washington Post on Tuesday. Those encouraging the federal judge to withdraw are telling him to cut his losses, Turley said. But the losses are quite considerable. “He’s been accused of being an attempted rapist. There’s not a viable option for Kavanaugh beyond appearing at this hearing and defending his actions and reputation,” he said. At this stage, many lawyers think a withdrawal would cement the allegations into his record.

Same for what she witnessed. Unless other people come forward to corroborate exactly what she is claiming, it will fizzle.

[quote]I am a woman and simply can't put into words how sad I am at hearing this. I also don't understand how girls should stay at such a party but I also remember how ignorant and naive many of us were as teens. You want to be accepted and part of the "in" crowd, and many disrespect themselves and their instincts to be cool. But gang rape? It's beyond the pale. Makes me want to vomit.
I think the society is still coming to terms with what rape is. For a lot of people there is a disconnect between 'boys being boys', 'fraternity hi-jinks', 'teenage shenanigans' and rape. And most victims won't come forward because they will be ripped apart, especially if they accuse someone wealthy and connected. I totally understand if a victim doesn't want her life and her choices put on trial.

The Russians pay off trump and the NRA and countless republican congressmen. Republicans cheat to "win." How in the hell do parents these day even attempt to explain any of this to their kids?
Oh, and Merry Christmas everyone, even to the Jews, Muslims, and Atheists among us.

Another woman who was in that circle has this to say
[Quote]Elizabeth said she infrequently saw Brett Kavanaugh during this time – often at house parties. “He was cute. He was always nice,” she said. One night she ran across an apparently inebriated Brett Kavanaugh and things went differently then. Previously, he had always been nice to her. “ But not that night. He was drunk. He was obnoxious and crude. I had a friend with me and we left. His football buddies were laughing at us. Maybe they were laughing at him, but I didn’t take it that way and they didn’t do anything to keep him from being a jerk.”

To any of those questioning how Swetnick could have subjected herself to the degradation/humiliation of re-visiting potentially threatening and abusive parties, think about how tenuous and fragile an adolescents ego is? How dependent it is on peer pressure where "Everybody does it", especially in a highly competitive environment that those super rich, ultra-influential kids moved in. Lastly, Jesus, we all know of women MANY years older who stay in shitty, abusive relationships FOR YEARS and don't have the balls to get out.

The FBI could investigate but only if the White House asks the bureau to do so (that ain't gonna happen). The alleged victims have no authority to request it. Neither does the Senate.
These accusations are not Federal crimes.
The FBI has no independent authority to open a criminal investigation. Its only role would be to re-open the Kavanaugh background investigation.

Assuming this Justin Kennedy is the son (arrested for throwing cans at a football game, no less) - he was a sophomore at Stanford in the fall of 83, so he'd have graduated HS in 82. He would be a year ahead of Kavanaugh. I haven't found which HS he went to yet.

I believe Justice Kennedy was a judge on the 9th Circuit on the west coast before he was appointed to the SC in 1987, so was probably living there while his son was in hs (late 70s-early 80s). Justin would probably have been in hs in CA, no?

new allegation:
A Republican aide on the committee said the conversation took place shortly after noon. While Republican staff posed questions to Kavanaugh, their Democratic counterparts were also on the call but did not ask any questions.
According to an anonymous complaint sent to Republican Sen. Cory Gardner of Colorado, Kavanaugh physically assaulted a woman he socialized with in the Washington, D.C. area in 1998 while he was inebriated.
The sender of the complaint described an evening involving her own daughter, Kavanaugh and several friends in 1998.

One of Brett Kavanaugh’s college roommates has come forward to talk about the Supreme Court nominee’s drinking problem, and also about a dead pigeon he found nailed to his door.
Kit Winter was an out gay man at Yale University in the early 1980’s, the same time that Kavanaugh attended that school. They lived together in a three-person suite, with Winter in a single room and Kavanaugh sharing a double room with James Roche.
Roche has already talked to the media about how Kavanaugh was a “aggressive and belligerent” drunk, and several other people who knew Kavanaugh in high school and college have contradicted his claim that he never drank so much that he had a memory lapse.
Winter, too, recalls Kavanaugh’s excessive drinking, remembering Kavanaugh and his friends as “loud, obnoxious frat boy-like drunks.”
“There was a lot of vomit in the bathroom. No one ever cleaned it up. It was disgusting. It wasn’t incidental. It wasn’t, ‘Oh, this weekend someone puked in the bathroom.’ People were constantly puking in the bathroom. Constantly.”
In an interview with The Cut, Winter describes an incident involving a dead pigeon that he found nailed to his door – the door to his room, not the outside door to the suite.
“I interpreted it as an act of social hostility slash terrorism,” Winter said. “I thought it was a very clear message. ‘We don’t like you, and we don’t want you here.’ I didn’t know who it was who didn’t want me here. I didn’t know who had done it.”
Several of his friends at the time corroborated that a bird was nailed to the door, although no one knew who did it.
“I remember that Kit was really unhappy with his roommates,” said Lori Adams, a retired psychiatrist who was Winter’s friend at Yale.
“They were jocks and Kit was an out gay man with peroxide blond hair. He was uncomfortable there. And he didn’t spend much time there.”
Winter didn’t report the dead bird to the police and he didn’t ask to change rooms, since he had already asked the dean to move him into the empty single-person room in the suite.
“I think my general response was, screw you,” Winter said. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Winter also doesn’t buy Kavanaugh’s claim that he did not drink excessively.
“Having witnessed the level of drunkenness of Brett and his crew in that dorm, and the vomitous aftermath in the bathroom, I find that very hard to believe,” that he never had memory lapses while drinking, Winter said.
“I was not a blackout drinker, but there’s tons of stuff I don’t remember because I was drinking a lot, frequently. Anybody who drank a lot in college and can stand up 35 years later and say, ‘I am sure that did not happen’ inherently lacks credibility to me.”

by Anonymous | reply 433 | September 29, 2018 3:33 AM |
OregonLive.com uncovered a previous sexual harassment claim by Avenatti's client in 2000. The company she worked for sued her for falsifying her resume and for sexually harassing employees, and she sued the company back for sexual harassment.
[quote] The suit also alleges Swetnick "engaged in unwelcome, sexually offensive conduct" while at Webtrends and "made false and retaliatory allegations that other co-workers had engaged in inappropriate conduct toward her."
[quote] "This lawsuit never had any merit as evidenced by how quickly it was dismissed," Avenatti wrote. "It was originally filed in retaliation for my client making claims against the company."
by Anonymous | reply 434 | September 29, 2018 4:32 AM |
R435, Swetnick ALSO wrote her statement “under threat of felony” as Kavanaugh and the GOP called it.
Why should her statement be considered any less believable than the others ?
by Anonymous | reply 436 | September 29, 2018 2:32 PM |
Yeah, we've already covered that, R435. The lawsuit was withdrawn and was dismissed "with prejudice," which means that the case could not subsequently be refiled (and usually means that the case lacked merit).

Sorry, R439, but you're simply wrong. Cases are withdrawn all the time both with and without prejudice. And given what we know of this case, it was likely filed because of what they feared Swetnick was going to do, a proactive response to make her think twice about challenging them.
by Anonymous | reply 440 | September 29, 2018 3:17 PM |
Cases are withdrawn all the time yes, but that doesn't mean they are "bogus" - it means they were resolved.

by Anonymous | reply 443 | September 30, 2018 2:40 AM |
There were many lessons to learn from this Kavanuagh tragedy (I firmly believe now he will be confirmed). One of them is this.
I really hope Democrats and liberal media outlets never give Avenatti the time of day again. It became very clear that this guy took advantage of our desperation to bring down a despicable and yet inevitable feeling nominee by presenting an accuser whose accusations changed and all but collapsed within the span of a few days. Hell, no one knows what Swetnick's claim exactly is, including herself. Avenatti wanted attention and I do believe the Swetnick tainted the credibility of Ford and Ramirez which is the worst part for me.
I do have to believe Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell are now pissed they entertained this guy as having serious smoking gun information.
We can hate Trump. We can know he and Kavanaugh have sexually assaulted women. And we can also know Avenatti is a charlatan who has jumped on the anti-Trump bandwagon for his own interests, and no one else.

I love how he brings up the "$130,000 payment" every five seconds in an interview. lol
Everyone should have known what an attention whore he was when he turned up at the VMAs.

[quote] I do have to believe Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell are now pissed they entertained this guy as having serious smoking gun information.
At least they can always fall back on Tom Arnold.

Well that one sure went over like a lead balloon.

Avenatti got what he needed out of it. Trump and some Senators are now tweeting about him. That insures that his name stays in the news. His tweets are getting more antagonizing as well. He knows this is how Trump won. His big hope is for a full on public feud with Trump

Who is paying Avenatti ? Lawyers don't work for free.

Definitely not getting paid from his Law Firm. A bankruptcy judge has ordered a freeze on all of his assets he gets from legal work.

Michael Avenatti Issues a Direct Challenge to Brett Kavanaugh
Julie Swetnick‘s attorney Michael Avenatti issued a challenge to Brett Kavanaugh on Friday: if the Supreme Court nominee is so adamant in his claim that sexual misconduct allegations against him are false, he should sue.
“If Brett Kavanaugh & his supporters are so convinced that all of the scores of women (including my client) are lying … then he should sue us all-TODAY,” Avenatti said in a tweet.

R454 he knows that will never happen in a million years. He's just trying to make sure his name gets in the news again.
by Anonymous | reply 455 | October 5, 2018 4:21 PM |
It's Avenatti who should sue. Why didn't he file a sexual assault civil case against BK in Maryland last week? That move would have put BK's nomination to rest one would think.

R456 because his client never alleged that Kavanaugh assaulted her.

Welp. That didn't work out

[quote]I really hope Democrats and liberal media outlets never give Avenatti the time of day again.
Are you kinding? Democrats are pathetic with their celebrity loving bullshit. They will coddle him just like they did Bernie even after he blows up in their faces.

[quote] Avenatti wanted attention and I do believe the Swetnick tainted the credibility of Ford and Ramirez which is the worst part for me.
This, and allowed the GOP to have a credible claim that the Dems were throwing false charges at Kavanagh.
Remember too that there is a huge difference between what Ford and Ramirez claimed he did and Swetnick's charge that he organized gang rapes consistently throughout high school.
Right from the start that one sounded like BS to me because it was so over the top.

Did Michael Avenatti help doom the case against Brett Kavanaugh?
The idea of Michael Avenatti running for president seemed ridiculous to most observers at the start. Gradually, it has seemed perhaps less so. If Democrats want to fight fire with fire, after all, they could probably do worse than Stormy Daniels’s lawyer. Avenatti did play a major role in eventually getting Michael Cohen to implicate President Trump in a federal crime.
Avenatti’s latest major turn in the political spotlight, though, hasn’t gone so well.
With Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh having just secured the 50th and 51st votes to assure his confirmation, attention has turned to Avenatti’s role in the failed effort. After the media unearthed and vetted accusations by Kavanaugh’s first two accusers, Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, Avenatti decided to skip the middle man with a third.

Avenatti is a Sleasy. He lied, he never had anything. You know, we worked our asses off to buy more time too. We did this so that Senators could meet with women health organizations and their constituents, about Kavanaugh's record, his temperament and about Dr. Ford traumatizing experience.
Avenatti FUCK OFF.

Collins called the Swetnick allegation "outlandish" and Kennedy said "this process changed dramatically when Mr. Avenatti entered the picture." Michael Avenatti provided cover for Republicans to confirm Kavanaugh.
by Anonymous | reply 463 | October 6, 2018 12:45 AM |
Why don’t Kavanaugh’s female victims file a criminal charge against him? He’d have to be arrested and mugshot taken.
by Anonymous | reply 464 | October 6, 2018 12:57 AM |
Not sure what is happening. A guy writes an opinion piece about Avenatti.
Instead of laying blame at the feet of the republicans who voted for this shit fest, we are sagely nodding our heads. "Yes this is Avenatti's fault. An opinion writer told me it was."
Ok

Avenatti is now claiming he's going to sue her ex-boyfriend:
Just spoke to @MichaelAvenatti. He says he still may pursue criminal and civil charges related to Julie Swetnick allegation.
Asked for specifics, he'll say only they're "most certainly going to file a defamation lawsuit against Doug Ketterer."
by Anonymous | reply 466 | October 6, 2018 1:32 AM |
Avenatti has destroyed any chance he had at political office.

No one agrees with you Konstantin @ r467.
by Anonymous | reply 468 | October 6, 2018 1:58 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 470 | October 6, 2018 2:14 AM |
Avenatti is gone, after this. He had nothing. What a fucking sleazy ball!
by Anonymous | reply 471 | October 6, 2018 9:02 AM |
I never liked him and I could absolutely not understand the hype about him on DL. To me he always seemed like a sleazy famewhore.
Now it turns out he is a totally stupid and ineffective attorney as well. I hope he goes away. Let Mueller deal with Trump and not some greedy asshole who is mostly in this game for himself.
by Anonymous | reply 472 | October 6, 2018 11:55 AM |
Of course Brettski is not Avenatti's fault.
But he certainly did not help the cause. WTF was he thinking? Unless you have really strong evidence for something as outrageous and incredulous as "organized multiple gang rapes while in high school" you're not helping.
by Anonymous | reply 473 | October 6, 2018 12:05 PM |
[quote]WTF was he thinking?
He was thinking about getting more airtime.
For him, it's really all about that at this point isn't it?
