I saw the cheerios already. Kinda gross. The pumpkin yogurt at target was really good last year though.

by Anonymousreply 1August 31, 2018 11:40 AM

Pumpkin Spice Cum, anyone?

by Anonymousreply 2August 31, 2018 11:40 AM

Please die, OP, in a candlewax fire.

by Anonymousreply 3August 31, 2018 11:45 AM

Target is the reigning queen of pumpkin spice. Their pumpkin scones are TO DIE FOR. Hurry up, Pumpkin Spice season, we are all waiting!

But...but... "they" are insisting Pumpkin Spice is now passe' and Cinnamon is the new Fall thing. I do love cinnamon. But why must I give up Pumpkin Spice?

by Anonymousreply 5August 31, 2018 11:48 AM

Yep - Archer Farm. I couldn't remember the name of their private label, but they made pumpkin yogurt last year. Of course pumpkin tastes like nothing so it was just like a spiced yogurt... but it was good.... tasted like pumpkin pie... sorta.

by Anonymousreply 6August 31, 2018 11:51 AM

Pumpkin spice, please!

by Anonymousreply 8August 31, 2018 11:55 AM

How sick is this op?

by Anonymousreply 9August 31, 2018 11:59 AM

Labor Day hasn't even passed yet. Kind of gross considering it's gonna be 90°+ the next few days, here around the Midwest.

by Anonymousreply 10August 31, 2018 12:03 PM

[quote]How sick is this op?

As sick as the CQ who insists that any answer can only appear once in a thread. I didn't think there was anyone quite so annoying, but pumpkin spice fans are way up there.

by Anonymousreply 11August 31, 2018 12:04 PM

Pumpkin spice candle lit, mug cradled, Fibro med taken, I’m ready...

by Anonymousreply 12August 31, 2018 12:07 PM

by Anonymousreply 30September 1, 2018 7:44 PM

Has anyone purchased one of the Harry Slatkin candles from QVC. He's been on QVC a lot recently, and the hosts are practically orgasmic when they smell his autumnal candles. I almost bought his autumn pumpkin candle.

I want those ice cream sammies. I will def find those at WF.

I am delighted to announce that pumpkin spice season is here! As of today, Target has all the pumpkin spice foods in stock!

R49, you can't comprehend that some of us don't like the commercialization of food products which are then shoved into our faces during a specific season, as though they were a social prescription?

Your comparison, like your mind, is inept. Tree scents aren't food, are available year-round and are valued for their therapeutic qualities. No one is making them into a trend or part of a construct year after year.

by Anonymousreply 53September 15, 2018 7:19 PM

R4 I found these at Target this past weekend. They are pretty good...a subtle, not over powering, pumpkin flavor.

by Anonymousreply 54September 17, 2018 9:49 PM

I actually look forward to pumpkin spice egg nog every winter. I stay away from the candles, room spay, motor oil pumpkin spice concoctions.

by Anonymousreply 55September 17, 2018 11:35 PM

R53, thanks loads for your didactic assholery.

by Anonymousreply 56September 18, 2018 3:26 PM

The nearest Trader Joe’s is very far away, so I go there once every 2 or 3 months and stock up. Today I went and half the stuff I usually buy was gone, replaced with pumpkin spice crap. And supposed candy corn flavored products. Candy corn? It tastes like pure corn syrup. They had candy corn flavored popcorn. You know what candy corn flavored popcorn is? It’s Cracker Jack. It’s popcorn encased in dried corn syrup. Oh well, another two months of this and then it will be all splintered peppermint candy cane-encased products.

by Anonymousreply 57September 18, 2018 7:53 PM

I don't think I've ever purchased a single pumpkin spice scented or flavored product, despite how ubiquitous they are at this time of year. I actually use cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and allspice in various dishes, but I don't bake pumpkin pies because I'm single. When I see someone buying 'pumpkin pie spice' at the supermarket, I'm silently judging them as a very amateur cook.

by Anonymousreply 58September 18, 2018 8:03 PM

The pumpkin spice egg nog is pretty nice. I look forward to PS flavor coffee creamer which I haven’t seen in shelves yet these year.

Agree that PS candles and room scents are mostly nasty. At least the few that I’ve tried has been disappointing.

I’m thinking of making a special trip to Whole Foods for those ice cream sandwiches....

by Anonymousreply 59September 18, 2018 8:06 PM

[quote]Nobody's up in arms about fir tree scents at Christmas. Is it because it's associated with frauen?

How many people are actually burning fir candles or spraying it as an air freshener? Is there a fir latte at Starbucks? Fir Cheerios? Has anyone made For Season memes or parodies? Do you have to smell fir in every damn waiting room, office, and Uber for 4 months straight?

by Anonymousreply 65September 22, 2018 10:38 PM

*Fir Season... which doesn't really exist, despite Xmas trees.

by Anonymousreply 66September 22, 2018 10:40 PM

by Anonymousreply 67September 22, 2018 10:40 PM

by Anonymousreply 68September 22, 2018 10:44 PM

Can't stand pumpkin spice stuff since I got sick on a pumpkin pie ice cream ~10 years ago. That's how long it's been since I've had pumpkin pie and the like.

I do enjoy the seasonal Mrs. Meyers scents: the pumpkin is meh, but the mum and apple cider are amazing.

by Anonymousreply 76October 10, 2018 2:23 AM

R58, It's far more efficient to buy pumpkin spice (real not artificial) to add to your oatmeal with fresh peaches, coffee as a flavor alternative to cinnamon, and baked sweet potatoes and yams, and eggnog. The concoction has real health benefits.

by Anonymousreply 80October 12, 2018 2:04 AM

I don’t understand why you just can’t grow your own pumpkins, your own ginger (just get a root from the local organic market!), have a friend in a subtropical climate plant a clove tree, buy Sri Lankan cinnamon, nutmeg from Banda Islands and make your own pumpkin spice from scratch. How can you stand that prepackaged, mass produced glop? You people have baby taste.

by Anonymousreply 81October 12, 2018 3:14 AM

R79, I always add cinnamon sugar and/or pumpkin spice on top of the coffee in the paper-lined basket of my coffee maker. Very healthy addition and really improves the flavor. No additional sugar or cream is necessary.

R81, Spice combo enables me to use only a very small single serving. I use my cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, ground cloves, fresh minced ginger, etc when I need a larger amount.

by Anonymousreply 82October 12, 2018 3:51 AM

[quote]Very healthy addition and really improves the flavor.
