How do you italicize and bold text?

It's best avoided,especially in OPs because people mess it up and bold or italicize the whole thread list below the post.

But could you tell me, please R1.

If you want to [i]italicize[/i], I think you have to do this [ i ] (but no spaces) right before, and then [ / i ] (no spaces) to end the italics. It might be the same with [b]bolding[/b], but make it [ b ] and [ / b ] to end it.

When you put OPEN BRACKET SYMBOL quote CLOSED BRACKET SYMBOL at the start, it will put that entire paragraph within a quote bar that doesn't carry on into the next paragraph. You don't have to signal the end.

But the italic and bold commands will carry on through the rest of the entire post all the way to the end if you don't close them.

So if I want [italic]italic[/italic] and [bold]bold[/bold] to appear like this, I have to close them.
