Names on Backpacks

Have seen three ads yesterday for names on backpacks. Publicly displaying a child's name can make them vulnerable to strangers who will use the name to gain their trust and potentially lure them away. Initials are OK. Include Name and Phone inside, in case your kid loses it or there are same backpacks at school.

Was your very important thread one month ago not enough concern trolling?

Very important information for Datalounge readers.

Yup - I always thought having kids wear shirts with their names on it was dumb for the same reason.

While we have your attention, eldergays, under no circumstances should you encourage your children to accept candy from strangers standing by vans.

The more you know...

I keep hoping the same dynamic would work with Carrie Bradshaw's name necklace, but alas so far the strangers have not been able to fool her.
