Parents - Be Aware

It is not recommended to put your child's name on the outside of their backpack, especially for younger children...

While it's convenient for identifying belongings, it also makes them vulnerable to strangers who could use their name to gain their trust. ..

Instead, consider labeling the inside of the backpack or using a unique pattern or design to distinguish the bag.

Have I died and logged into Mumsnet?

OP, do you know where you are? Do you think this message is appropriate for child-free DL denizens?

by Anonymousreply 2July 12, 2025 1:53 AM

What if I hate my kid and want them to get abducted?

One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I screamed. "Disneyland burned down!" He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.

Dear Kidnapper,

Now the ungrateful little shit is YOUR problem.

With love, from Cancun,

Mom.

Or, don't send them to church.

I dream of my own backpack.

by Anonymousreply 11July 12, 2025 3:32 AM

Why are kids still doing backpacks? Don’t they do everything on a tablet now?

by Anonymousreply 12July 12, 2025 3:46 AM

Don’t listen to OP!

Lillian Vernon!

r12 Absolutely not, and in fact (good) schools are moving away from that because it's making kids dumber. And now quick AI chat has entered the picture so it's a nightmare, trying to teach the kiddies why they shouldn't be using it for everything.

by Anonymousreply 15July 12, 2025 4:28 AM

R15 It’s not the devices themselves that are making kids dumber…

by Anonymousreply 16July 12, 2025 10:02 AM

Yes, the stalking pedo you fear can use your child's name to find your family on the internet and masturbate to the hundreds of pictures you've posted on social media of the kid.

by Anonymousreply 17July 12, 2025 12:05 PM

I was molested.
