Please answer honestly.
Are you going to a "No Kings" protest tomorrow (Saturday, June 14)?

I'm going to the one in Pittsburgh

Yes! And in LA of all places.

Seattle!
We Love People, but not in person. We Still Stand with people, even if they are stinky.

Ours in Austin is at 5 PM, so I can make it. It’s been called a satirical street circus, so I’ll dig out a costume.

R5, bring a whiskey bottle and you can go as Pete Hegseth

There's no riots or danger planned, ladies. No Kings is a set of non violent demonstrations across the country. Don't be swayed by fear mongering. Most of us will encounter our neighbors and nice people holding signs.,

R7 is a gullible fool.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 14, 2025 3:13 AM |
Hell yes. But I am concerned about the possibility of encountering violent. Not from other demonstrators, of course.

Clearly Brevard county Florida sheriff Wayne Ivey sucks Trump anus.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 14, 2025 2:06 PM |
No because that has to be the stupidest name for this anyone could possibly come up with. Had they named it the “Die Trump Die” rallies, I might have gone.

I'm in Austin today R5 but I'm visiting with my son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter who are also visiting here. Probably won't make it, but you never know.

I’ve given up on America. There’s no point to any of these feel good events.

I wish I could... On my flight back from Panama, I had a sore throat, but I didn't think anything of it. When I got home, I had things to do that entailed several hours of driving (like picking up my dog), so I was busy for the next two days. By the fourth day (a Saturday), I was so sick I could barely drive to the VA ER (an hour away). I told them I'd been in Panama and I thought I had covid, but after testing me, they assured me I only had the flu.
Well, two weeks later, I'm still coughing, spacey, weak, and exhausted. And I'm actually a lot better than I was!! Last night I went to bed at 10 and I slept 'til 11 this morning. A nurse friend says I have covid -- probably some strain the test didn't catch. I think she's right, because I had it before, and it took me a month to be able to do anything at all.
I need to feel better soon. I have my Pensionado Visa now and I can leave for Panama whenever I want, but damn!! I'm trying very hard to rest and get better, but it ain't working.
The shit is hitting the fan [italic]now,[/italic] and here I am, stuck in my place, too exhausted to even take a shower. This shit sucks.

Nope because these protests play right into his hands. It's not like he or Stephen Miller are even open to dialogue. Protests don't work on fascists.

My small southern city (blue in a red state) had a great turnout. It sends a message even if Trump himself isn’t listening,

R18, what works then?

Protest work on fellow citizens. When people who empathize see protests, it gives the confidence to fight too

Looks like protest are going well all over the country - except Minnesota where they got canceled bc of a murderous nut job.

I went to one in a small Michigan city. I expected a couple dozen people—it was over 2000. And in heavy MAGA area. It was heartening.

Marine Corps/National guards standing at LA Fed building with machine guns. Peaceful protestors by the 100’s maybe more.
