I'm in Austin today R5 but I'm visiting with my son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter who are also visiting here. Probably won't make it, but you never know.

I’ve given up on America. There’s no point to any of these feel good events.

I wish I could... On my flight back from Panama, I had a sore throat, but I didn't think anything of it. When I got home, I had things to do that entailed several hours of driving (like picking up my dog), so I was busy for the next two days. By the fourth day (a Saturday), I was so sick I could barely drive to the VA ER (an hour away). I told them I'd been in Panama and I thought I had covid, but after testing me, they assured me I only had the flu.

Well, two weeks later, I'm still coughing, spacey, weak, and exhausted. And I'm actually a lot better than I was!! Last night I went to bed at 10 and I slept 'til 11 this morning. A nurse friend says I have covid -- probably some strain the test didn't catch. I think she's right, because I had it before, and it took me a month to be able to do anything at all.

I need to feel better soon. I have my Pensionado Visa now and I can leave for Panama whenever I want, but damn!! I'm trying very hard to rest and get better, but it ain't working.

The shit is hitting the fan [italic]now,[/italic] and here I am, stuck in my place, too exhausted to even take a shower. This shit sucks.

Protest work on fellow citizens. When people who empathize see protests, it gives the confidence to fight too

Looks like protest are going well all over the country - except Minnesota where they got canceled bc of a murderous nut job.

I went to one in a small Michigan city. I expected a couple dozen people—it was over 2000. And in heavy MAGA area. It was heartening.
