A Reddit Mystery: Postcards from Atlanta
“My Target store (in Central Minnesota) received this letter. Looks like there’s been a few other stores to receive letter like this. No Return address, also from Atlanta. Theirs is nothing under the black sharpie on the back of the photos (like previous posts), we tried to wipe it off.”
What’s going on with these postcards? Are they just some schizophrenic writing or are they clues?

I'm going with mental illness or a language learning assignment. Of course, people in the comments love the serial killer theory because it's so juicy.

The letters activate cells in various cities.

R3 I might buy that if it was just one letter, but multiple letters to different Target stores spaced out over time?

We need a Oiuja board to contact Alan Turing.

Yes, mental illness. There's a homeless person in my area who writes long stream of consciousness paragraphs on side walks in various colors, also in block writing. Mostly nonsensical word salads, but mostly grammatically correct. This person does it from the comfort of their own home. They had a nice shopping experience and want to let Target know.

They don't sound that crazy. We used to get properly bizarre letters at my old job; the writer was convinced our more high-profile employees were sending him secret messages through the media.

It could be some weird outsider art thing. I knew people who would leave strange objects or letters in public places as part of an art project.

It's the same chilling, dead affect language of DL's own Boo Radley Bathhouse Troll (BRBT)

I work in media. I can tell you schizophrenics and others suffering mental illness are extremely prolific letter writers who will often send their very lengthy diatribes to several different media outlets. We (and many others) used to get bunches of faxes from a guy from Canada named DeBruyn (sp?), plus calls from him, and he became extremely angry when you told him you had to get off the phone. He just wanted to go on and on and rant his weird conspiracy theories, god forbid if you hung up the phone.

Interesting, but I much prefer the Circleville writer.

R9 here, and me too. It just seems to attract people who are living in their own realities.

I wish some schizophrenic would send me letters. I’d be interested to read them
