The show pulled in just under 4.5 million viewers the day after Election Day, making it the 'most watched show' since Barbara Walter's final episode on May 16, 2014. In other words, 4.47 million viewers tuned in to see the six women sitting Shiva, and listening to Sunny putting all the blame on 'white voters' for Harris' loss. The View” averaged 3.078 million viewers during the week of Nov. 4, making it the No. 1 show among daytime network talk and news shows.

I don't think any of the hosts need to worry about being replaced or cancellation of the show. As a matter of fact, they may want their agents re-negotiating their contracts for immediate pay raises right about now.

I think Sunny is bordering on Star Jones levels of mockery. Ratings went up during Star's engagement, because she became such a Bridezilla. Non-regular viewers found her behavior extremely entertaining. Us regular viewers? Not so much. We all know how that ended for Star. Sunny should really try to get back to the business of being a co-host and stop being the self-appointed election blamer.

I expect the ratings to drop now that the election is over. Yes, they were great last week. Especially Wednesday when viewers tuned in to watch them eat crow.

If there's a guest there she likes (usually it's narrowed down to Black or Latino) she looks at them directly in the eye when talking to them. Others (especially white men) she looks down at the index cards.

I saw Sunny's podcast interview. She puts all the blame on Kamala. she also seems to think she's jennifer lopez.

The new theme music for the season is called 'This Version of Me' . Has Sunny considered the version of herself she's presenting to viewers these days / this season ? What better free publicity and boost your revenue - especially if you've had equipment problems in the past few months and lost sales such as an order for 50 cupcakes - by coming out and saying they're the bakery in question ?

Yet when push came to shove, the owner of the bakery backed far away - said she didn't know for certain if the cupcakes which were picked up on Wednesday morning were for the show or not. A woman who picked up the cupcakes never said who they worked for, where the cupcakes were going, or what / who they were for. She admitted this !

According to an interview she did with Entertainment Weekly: "She adds that she was not aware of any affiliations that the woman who picked up the desserts on Wednesday morning might have had, with regard to The View or otherwise."

If the ratings continue the way they are (and they will, once Trump takes office), the best ratings since four years ago AND the #1 daytime talk show / news show for the 2024-25 season, the only changes will be pay raises for each woman.

r70, The view fires individual co hosts all the time no matter how the ratings are. the ratings would be high whether Sunnys there or not due to the trump presidency about to start. If she proves to be unpopular (which I suspect she is becoming more unpopular by the day) they'll get rid of her.

In the last month, Sunny's gotten flack for calling black men who weren't voting for Harris, "Crazy and ridiculous", and white women Trump voters "uneducated". Sunny's question to Kamala made the rounds of the Sunday morning political shows and is now considering a defining moment in Kamla losing the Presidency.

Whoopi is currently making rounds for making an issue she had with a baker political and earlier in the week drew controversy for trying to equate herself with the average working-class person, even though she's making millions per year alone on The View.

Ratings might be good now, but the general consensus even among democratic and left leaning spaces as well is that this show is completely out of touch with the average person and they're clearly struggling to connect with their audience.

They fired McCarthy and replaced her with another comedian - Michelle Collins. They got rid of Collins without ever saying farewell. They originally fired Joy because they found Joy to be 'unpopular'. They asked her to come back in 2015-16 when they went through two seasons of rotating hosts and dismal ratings (I believe that's when 'The Talk' was surpassing them in the ratings). I doubt they will be making that mistake again.

I will not watch any news related program featuring hosts who are inappropriately attired.

God Sunny is such a fucking asshole. They spent an entire segment talking about Bill Maher’s criticism of blaming Kamala’s loss solely on racism and sexism. Queen Sunny then said no one is blaming it only on racism and sexism while then ranting on and on about nothing but racism and sexism. She’s referred repeatedly to Kamala’s campaign as “flawless” while offering no meaningful criticism or explanation for her loss beyond racism or sexism.

Flawless is a such a ridiculous way to portray Kamala’s campaign. Repeating that incessantly does not make it remotely true.

R82 and R83, Earlier, I began to type a comment similar to yours, but I thought why bother. It's the same script every damn day on this show. When Whoopi said they'd be discussing Trump and the election again, Sunny jumped in and said for the next four years.

I don't want to listen to the same arguments and complaints for the next four years. Alyssa and Sara are beating their heads against a wall trying to talk sense to Sunny. It feels like Groundhog Day on The View.

The clip ends, and the camera returns live to the hosts......who are laughing hysterically around the table (especially moderator Joy Behar, who is in close-up on the camera). WTF is so funny about this clip ? If I was Anderson, I would've never come out for the interview - they just bombed her chances for a nomination, never mind the Oscar itself.

The clip ended with another actress proclaiming “what is wrong with you??” to a male actor. So if they were laughing at the clip, I don’t think it was because of Pam’s performance.

Sara does it right - she looks to her right at Whoopi when she speaks, then she looks to her left and makes eye contact with each host (sometimes addressing each one by name). Alyssa also does it correctly - eye contacting each woman and then facing Whoopi. And Whoopi also does it correctly - she makes sure she looks at each host while talking.

Anna tends to look at Whoopi, look at Alyssa (ignores Sara and Sunny) and then focuses on the camera straight ahead.
