Can't wait to hear Sunny's glowing report about the Super Bowl entertainment.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | February 10, 2025 6:32 AM |
What is this Super Bowl, you speak of?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 10, 2025 11:17 AM |
Whoopi will fart at me bigtime today after all the Superbowl gastric foods she consumed yesterday. Whoopi’s farts stink!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 10, 2025 2:26 PM |
Whoopi's farts have launched more careers than Sara's crotch droppings.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 10, 2025 3:11 PM |
I liked his Whoopi praised all the slaves on the field.
No criticism of the White "Owners"?
Or how Trump wasted $30M to attend?
Did Ivanka return to her old diaper change role?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 11, 2025 4:46 PM |
Why didn't anyone correct that fucking know-it-all Whoopi. JFK was not the youngest POTUS, Teddy Roosevelt holds that title. I'm so sick of her ignorant elder sage bullshit.
Someone please tell Sunny dancing on the Wimbledon court is not being true to yourself, it's fucking Wimbledon so have some respect. Everything is racist with this mentally ill woman. Yesterday, she made the Eagles quarterback a victim of racism. He just won the Superbowl yet she had to make him the victim of the moment. Then she cut off Sara who tried to congratulate the young Eagles kicker but Sunny wasn't done. She had to let everyone know Jalen Hurt's fiancee is a member of her sorority.
Did anyone else notice on yesterday's show they played that Super Bowl commercial about women athletes so Whoopi could insert the name of her Women's Sports Network. They're taking up more and more time plugging their outside projects and in turn they're missing more time because of these outside projects. Just leave already.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 11, 2025 5:59 PM |
If a black male tennis player wore a durag at Wimbledon Sunny would scream that it was “black culture” and therefore acceptable.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | February 11, 2025 8:56 PM |
No, it would be black joy and black excellence.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | February 11, 2025 9:31 PM |
Whoopi will be a presenter at this year’s Academy Awards. I would like to know the category she is presenting so that I may schedule a bathroom break accordingly.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 11, 2025 9:52 PM |
Presenters are usually prior winners in a category, so that would be Supporting Actress, but they are usually done by last year's winner.
Was Randolph not available?
She could also announce the Governor's awards, she IS on the AMPAS board.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 11, 2025 10:29 PM |
Why did they make such a big deal about Whoopi at the Oscars today ? The show is three weeks away...they couldn't wait until it was closer ?
Did everyone notice on yesterday's show, the five guys from 'Queer Eye' were told at least one of them (at the very least) had to kiss Whoopi's ass and tell her what an inspiration she was to him ? So the idiot with the ass-length hair had to tell her (with tears in his eyes) that 'Sister Act' was his favorite film, and inspired him (somehow - still can't connect the dots, nor am I tempted to do so) to be who he is today. What exactly is he today ?
Why are they dedicating so much time each week promoting Black History Month in February when they only spent a few minutes (in total) on American Italian History Month last October, and even less time promoting AAPI history month last May ? What do they have against celebrating Americans with Italian heritage as well as Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islander Americans ?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 11, 2025 11:05 PM |
Whoopi is no longer on the AMPAS board.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 11, 2025 11:26 PM |
What happened to Sunny's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" wig today ? Was she getting it dry-cleaned ? Or did she have a 'serious' photo shoot after the show, and decided to go with a more serious look ?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 11, 2025 11:39 PM |
American Italian History Month?
It is so connected to Indigenous American Genocide that it is hard to shake.

People are sick of cancel culture, R15. Sorry.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 11, 2025 11:50 PM |

OMG!!! You’re right. That’s the exact same wig. 😂😂😂
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 12, 2025 12:08 AM |
On the 11th Anniversary of Whitney's tragic death, Sunny chooses this day to toss her Whitney wig aside ? Seriously Sunny ???
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 12, 2025 12:13 AM |
I wasn't alive in the 60s, but it peeved me that they dismissed RFK, Sr. as a not so inspirational, or minor, political figure. Even I know he would have made a great president just from reading his speeches. Teddy was the loser inthe family.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 12, 2025 12:43 AM |
I wonder what Sunny will talk about tomorrow where she can bring racism into the discussion ? Could be anything - maybe she will focus on how Valentine's Day is racist, since she never saw a black cupid on any greeting card.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 12, 2025 2:36 AM |
Thanks for making a new thread. I must have missed the show where Sunshine showed up with very different hair. Was this discussed?

by Anonymous | reply 23 | February 12, 2025 11:46 AM |
Another Whoopi rant where she spoke directly to the camera as if personally addressing Elon Musk. This was, of course, followed by a reminder from Sunny that Musk is from South Africa, which is still feeling the effects of apartheid and a lack of black land ownership.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 12, 2025 3:28 PM |
I’ll be joining Sunny in front of the South African embassy to protest. On further thought…
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 12, 2025 5:36 PM |
Sunny wore her Whitney wig today - it looked cleaner and less ratty than it has looked since September. The dry-cleaner did a pretty decent job.
Hurts, as well as Newman, Sweeney and Jones will probably never be invited to the show again. Why ? Because not one - not one - kissed Whoopi's ass today, telling her she was an inspiration to their personal success in life. There must've been hell to pay after the show.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 12, 2025 9:30 PM |
Sunny loves to quote Maya Angelou's "when someone shows you who they are, believe them." Well maybe if everyone is telling Sunny she talks too much about race, she should believe them.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | February 12, 2025 9:41 PM |
R24, I can't believe they haven't brought this up in Hot Topics - Trump wrote an executive order allowing (I kid you not) WHITE ONLY South Africans to come to the US. He thinks they're getting a bad deal in SA.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | February 13, 2025 2:47 AM |
This was the second day in a row that Joy repeated something that was just said by someone else like it was a new idea. I hope she's not getting dementia.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | February 13, 2025 3:59 AM |
Joy’s losing it.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | February 13, 2025 10:05 AM |
Something is definitely going on with Joy - I've noticed it since last season. She's turning into Barbara Walters right before our eyes. It started last year when she fell off the stool - she had seemed not 'too steady' on her feet shortly before that, and since then. Notice Sara is always clutching her by the arm when they walk out together to the table (just like they used to do with Walters) ? She's very careful and nervous as she walks to the table (sometimes she stops and sways her ass a little to the music, pretending she's dancing while she's regaining her balance). Then the camera cuts quickly away while they get closer to the table and Joy takes her seat. And then there's her repeating herself, forgetting what she wanted to say, and repeating others.
She's 82. Walters lasted until 84 before she left, and didn't appear daily. So maybe she has another season or two left if they cut her back another day ?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | February 13, 2025 11:56 AM |
Joy has never said anything original, except to tell jokes. She does no research, but just repeats what others have said. It's been going on for years.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | February 13, 2025 12:21 PM |
Oh look, another excuse for Sunny to trot out phrase "lived experience." Even better, she gets to use her race as an excuse for why she never feels imposter syndrome. Sweetie, it has nothing to do with your race and everything to do with your arrogance and giant ego.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 13, 2025 3:37 PM |
Whoopi just butchered the pronunciation of Chalamet. Prepared as always.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | February 13, 2025 3:49 PM |
R34, Whoopi always butchers his name. you'd think they would have corrected her by now but guess not.
Good news: The State Dept. is backtracking on the $400M contract for Musk's ridiculous electric armored vehicles. Maybe they're just waiting for the negative attention to die down. Hope not.
Meanwhile, that unvetted and unelected asshole Musk is laying waste to our government offices while continuing to receive billions in taxpayer subsidies. But Sunny was wrong about the latest contract mentioned above. That was done in December prior to Trump taking office. The important parts to note are he hasn't cut any of his contracts, he has access to his competitors files, and he is targeting agencies who have audits and investigations against his companies. This is what $275M will buy you from a soulless, rapacious POTUS - our country offered up on a silver platter.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 13, 2025 9:36 PM |
Why oh why did Joy have to tell Sunny - on camera! - that she's one of the smartest people Joy knows ? And Sunny wasn't at all humble about the compliment, as she was rather smug and agreed with Joy. Don't they save all their ass-kissing for Whoopi ? Maybe it was a dig at Whoopi, who scolded Joy earlier telling her to 'stop' arguing with Alyssa and to let Sarah talk (all unimportant nonsense, as the argument was better).
by Anonymous | reply 36 | February 13, 2025 10:26 PM |
R36, blame her parents. Instilling confidence is great, but it should be balanced with humility and a sense of self-awareness.
Today's show was fun. Mikey Madison seems like a sweet kid and was an interesting interview.
When I saw the schedule for the Muslim matchmaker, I thought oh, please. But she was fun and had a great sense of humor. I'll bet you they now have her on a short list as a sub or replacement for one of the co-hosts. Well, that is if Joy doesn't sabotage her like she did to Michelle Collins. Unwritten Rule Number Two: You're not allowed to outshine joy. Unwritten Rule Number One involves Whoopi, an altar, the gluteus maximus and a limitless supply of Chapstick.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | February 14, 2025 6:36 PM |
[quote]Well, that is if Joy doesn't sabotage her like she did to Michelle Collins. Unwritten Rule Number Two: You're not allowed to outshine joy.
When will Joy sabotage Ana ? Ana has decided she's going to be the comedian at the table, and doesn't give a damn about Joy's reign as the show's comedienne.
Sunny talked about 'the oppression' which ties Black people to Jewish people and mentioned that 'iconic photo' of the black and the Jew...I thought for certain she was talking about the Scavullo photo of Donna Summer and Barbra Streisand from 1979 for their duet 'No More Tears'. The photo is much more popular and iconic than the one she was talking about (MLK and a rabbi).
Matchmaker Yasmin Elhady - I liked her better when she was known as Kathy Najimy.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 14, 2025 9:09 PM |
Perhaps Sunny should remind her daughter about the historical alliance between the black and Jewish communities the next she cuntily posts “From the River to the Sea” on her social media.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | February 14, 2025 9:42 PM |
I wonder if Sunny will ever address the long-standing bigotry blacks have shown towards Koreans, especially in LA.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | February 14, 2025 10:04 PM |
R40 That would be a non-negotiable NO.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | February 14, 2025 10:45 PM |
Sunny is being completely disingenuous when she talks about the bond between Jews and black people. There is a lot of anti-Semitism in the black community.
From the very beginning when Hamas attacked those concertgoers, Sunny was 100% pro-P even though she prefaced every pro-P stance with a mention of her maternal Jewish grandfather. So? It just means you threw your dead Jewish grandfather under the Hamas bus. It's puzzling why she would now be trying to sidle up to the Jewish community all of a sudden. What's her angle?

by Anonymous | reply 51 | February 17, 2025 4:24 PM |
I believe Alyssa when she says she didn't vote for Trump but she was clearly thrilled when the Rethugs won control of everything in the last election. The question I'd love to ask her is ... why? You know damn well that this is no longer a legitimate political party and instead is now a cult of one man. Look no further for proof than the fact that they have completely abandoned their duties in the Congress to give him and Musk free reign to do all the damage they want to our government and our country. So please tell me again why you're thrilled they won control? Yes, I know she's a Republican but so are Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney but even they were not rooting for their party to win because they know exactly what they are now. Alyssa should also.

by Anonymous | reply 54 | February 17, 2025 10:19 PM |
R54, possibly, but usually when it's pre-taped they indicate as such with a card at the bottom of the screen at the beginning of the show ("Today's show has been prerecorded"). I didn't see one today.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | February 17, 2025 10:26 PM |
And there’s no podcast today. Definitely pre-taped imo.

[quote] When Alyssa says she agrees with some of Trump’s policies, I’d like to ask her which ones since everything he’s doing is horrible.
She has said for the past few weeks she approved of his 'cutting waste' from the Federal government, though hasn't identified which programs and departments she believes needs to be eliminated (she just says she always believed in smaller government than what the liberals have offered). She has also made it clear she does not approve of the way he has gone about doing it when Republicans control the two houses and could pass laws to cut waste, rather than the way he is doing it with Musk.
[quote]Are we sure today’s show wasn’t pre-taped?
I believe it was. You could tell because the 'Hot Topics' covered nothing from the weekend (no mention of what they did for Valentine's Day Friday night, no mention of the weekend storms, no mention of the SNL special). Instead, they talked about a past Bannon interview and the general concept of 'flooding the zone'.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | February 18, 2025 12:03 AM |
Why has Adam Lambert morphed into 'Queen of Mean' Leona Helmsley ? He's a rather interesting guest when interviewed, but hard to look past the Leona look.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | February 18, 2025 1:07 AM |
Lambert has always been ugly.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | February 18, 2025 10:05 AM |
He has always been ugly, but it looks like he had a lot of work done on his face. He could've made better choices than 'the Leona'. Jeff Lewis ruined his looks years ago by getting 'the Leona', too. Lambert should've paid attention.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | February 18, 2025 11:56 AM |
Yesterday was definitely pre-taped since they're discussing the SNL special today. Of course, Whoopi is ranting incoherently while Sunny is making everything about race. And yet she wonders why people are revolting against DEI.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | February 18, 2025 3:15 PM |
I’m done with these bitches. Someone needs to explain to them that racism is not exclusive to whites. From Sunny’s, “I’m one of the 92% percent of black women who voted against him, so imma gonna sit this out” to Whoopi’s idiotic take on the SNL 50th show.
Watching these overpaid, self indulgent, narrow minded narcissists can turn someone into a racist.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | February 18, 2025 3:45 PM |
I'm also close to being done. Whoopi is the typical dumb celebrity who thinks she's smart--every show just consists of an incoherent rant or something that reveals how completely uninformed she is (like being unable to properly pronounce DOGE). Joy has had a good run but seems to be in the early stages of dementia and just repeats herself or the other hosts. Ana continues to act like she's prepping her one woman show and only stops to name drop her celebrity friends or scold Dems for not taking to the streets, seemingly oblivious to the fact that Trump feeds off of outrage. Sunny's takes consist solely of injecting race into everything, including mundane pop culture topics (Congrats, though, to all the black folks who've managed to win on "White Jeopardy!")
by Anonymous | reply 64 | February 18, 2025 4:46 PM |
Harris received the highest number of LGBT voters than any democratic candidate in the last five elections. And a whopping 15% increase from Biden's numbers in 2020. Harris received almost 90% of the vote,
Yet for a so called gay friendly show, these hags have yet to acknowledge that fact on air.
Sunny's still steamed over that question she asked Harris. And it was Ana who was invited into Kamala's circle, NOT her.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | February 18, 2025 5:02 PM |
Joy had one good, prepared joke she almost forgot to say. "I want my egg prices to drop not my planes."
As for the rest I agree with the above comments.

How many fucking times has Whoopi had the flu?
And why doesn't she get vaccinated?
by Anonymous | reply 67 | February 19, 2025 3:21 PM |
Joy’s turtle analogy as it related to Trump/Musk was beyond stupid. What an idiot.
Sunny pulled out that “92% of black women voted to save America” bullshit. It’s the second time this week she’s pulled that out of her ass and it’s only Wednesday. Jesus Christ. That statistic is unreliable. And also black women might have been enough of a voting bloc to save Georgia but to save America? I don’t think so, bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | February 19, 2025 4:23 PM |
THIS IS SUNNY'S NEW MANTRA "I'm one of the 92% of black women who voted to save the country....sitting place...." Now give us the stats on how many black and Hispanic men jumped ship and voted for Trump.
Sunny suffers from Notblackenoughitis. Another biracial person who goes OTT on race disparity because they've never been considered black enough by the black community. Still waiting for the afro wig to make an appearance. For now, she can take a sit next to Jesse Williams.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | February 19, 2025 4:40 PM |
Sunny’s comments are divisive and should be called out, at least by Ana.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | February 19, 2025 4:54 PM |
Sunny desperately wanted black women to be able to take credit for a Harris win. Ironically, it only took a single black woman (Sunny) for her to lose
by Anonymous | reply 71 | February 19, 2025 5:14 PM |
[quote]How many fucking times has Whoopi had the flu? And why doesn't she get vaccinated?
First, the flu vax has been proven to be only 32% effective with this current strain of the flu. One of the lowest success rates in recent times. So out of 100 people vaccinated, only 32 will be protected.
Second, Whoopi has underlying illnesses - some which she has talked about on the show (I think she has a chronic respiratory issue which she mentioned when she had double pneumonia), and most likely others she keeps private. Being Immunocompromised at 69 years old will make you very susceptible to the flu and other contagious viruses spreading now (flu, COVID, RSV), vaxxed or not.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | February 19, 2025 5:30 PM |
As a Dem, I voted for Harris. So I ask the question - if Harris won, and she had her top donor Oprah by her side in charge of DOGE, do you think Sunny would be this upset and critical of Harris / Oprah on the show ? I think not.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | February 19, 2025 5:37 PM |
Then Whoopi should stay the fuck away from people! She was at the SNL petrie dish over the weekend. Duh - she got the flu. Dumb cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | February 19, 2025 5:48 PM |
R72, she was (is?) a longtime smoker of all things smokeable. She also just happens to own a cannabis company. Hopefully she's stopped burning her lungs and now just enjoys her edibles. *For sale at a dispensary near you*
by Anonymous | reply 75 | February 19, 2025 6:24 PM |
R74 Duh. You speak like a dumb cunt....Maybe infected people should stay away from other people and not attend events like SNL to create a petrie dish? She caught the virus, she didn't spread it.
This has been an ongoing problem where I work the past few weeks - emails go out constantly from HR reminding people if you are sick and contagious - STAY HOME. Health officials and doctors on television are telling people to stay home if they are not feeling well. Too many dumb cunts socializing with people and spreading the viruses.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | February 19, 2025 6:27 PM |
R72 Yes, the majority of people who were /are longtime smokers are Immunocompromised in some way. I wouldn't condone the choices they have made in the past, but now they find themselves susceptible to many contagious illnesses. A vax doesn't always help them.

Today, Joy and Sunny promoted 'Buy-cott day' - February 28 is the day which all American consumers are encouraged to buy 'nothing' on that day. Sunny's definitely participating she said (I think because she's a black woman).
I'm curious to see if they will have one of their 'skin care sponsors', or Greta Monahan or Adam Glassman (Oprah's 'View Your Deal') on the show running the garage sale that Friday ? I wonder if they will show the products, but tell their viewers to 'buy nothing' from the show that day ? Let's see how honest and sincere thy are next Friday - starting with Sunny.

by Anonymous | reply 85 | February 21, 2025 5:13 PM |
[quote]She had a well-supported foundation to her statements. If you hate her ya hate her.
Feel free to elaborate on such an insightful rebuttal.
Buttigieg was talking about policy over performative antics. Any idiot could have told you that. Make policies that improve the lives of people. Having politicians that kneel in kente cloth but continue to outpace Republicans in funding police departments doesn't make much sense. Or having a segment at the convention on how to pronounce Kamala's name over highlighting average citizens stories of discrimination and hardship. Stop talking about it and just do it.
Sunny will not take any criticism of Kamala because of the criticism she got over asking Harris that one question. Same with Ana. This is why neither should be on the show at this point, because they're having a VERY difficult time separating themselves from Harris loss. I don't think I've seen Sunny behave so childish and act so nasty over someone's remarks. But it's Buttigieg, and she's always had a problem with him, regardless of what BS she says. Her remarks were very disingenuous to the LGBT community. Obama was elected over a decade before Buttigieg became the first LGBT candidate to run for President. Does she really want to take it there?
And why is Ana still a Republican? If she's so concerned about infighting among the party, why doesn't she just join the party and actually try to help?
by Anonymous | reply 86 | February 21, 2025 5:32 PM |
[quote] She had a well-supported foundation to her statements.
Yeah, exceptive her statements had nothing to do with what Buttigieg actually said. His point was that DEI is good, but that talky corporate training sessions full of buzzwords and jargon are performative and turn people. Instead of addressing that issue, Sunny just went on a rant about the importance of DEI and wrongly tried to paint Buttigieg as against such initiatives. The whole thing just showed painted Sunny as a stubborn asshole incapable of having a mature discussion.

Thoughts and prayers for Sarah. She tries so hard to sound intelligent and informative when she tries to keep up with the adults, and she falls on her ass. She blabbered on and on, got her facts mixed up, lost everyone's attention and was told by Joy to wrap it up (in a nice way). She had so much to say, but didn't quite know how to say it. Sunny and Alyssa tuned out after the first thirty seconds. How embarrassing for Sarah.

Sara was the only one who ate on camera during Antoni’s segment. For that, I tip my hat to her.

Looks like many celebs who attended the SNL events last weekend caught COVID and were diagnosed by mid-week ("The SNL 50 COVID Curse"), which is when Whoopi went missing. I betcha any money Whoopi has COVID, but they're saying it's 'the flu'.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | February 22, 2025 6:01 PM |
Here's the segment. Pete was correct, but Sunny refuses to believe it, which is one indication that the left has learned nothing.

If that was a black woman saying the same thing as Pete, Sunny would agree with her.

Joy Reid's MSNBC show has been cancelled. It's not an ABC Disney production so she may not mention it by name but tomorrow on The View I'm taking bets Sunny will go full bore about racial discrimination against "highly educated" black women and how they're being targeted for dismissal and on and on and on infinitum.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | February 23, 2025 8:11 PM |
R97 Oh, yes, I agree. And she will refer to Reid as 'one of my closest friends' without naming her.

I've always been irritated by this show. When it started off in the late 90s it sucked. Now it's even less watchable and I didn't think it was possible. I can't stand any of them or their topics. Lmao, about Joy Reid losing her show.
by Anonymous | reply 104 | February 24, 2025 11:46 AM |
Hostin will wear black today, as she will be in mourning over 'The Reid Out'. She will pout throughout the whole hour.
by Anonymous | reply 105 | February 24, 2025 12:02 PM |
I didn't think it possible, but Sunny has found a way to be even smugger with her new-ish move of combining the lip pursing with perching her elbows atop her stool while refusing to make eye contact with her colleagues. I'm hoping against hope that her fellow "Machete" Joy Reid getting shitcanned will induce some humility, but I'm not holding my breath.

Sunny has been using a new line recently in reference to her supposedly impoverished childhood. She keeps repeating her parents sometimes had to choose between heating their apartment or paying for food or whatever. Isn't it mandatory for NYC landlords to supply heat as part of the rent/lease?

Ah yes, the term WOKE brought to you by the most sniveling and grimacing race-baiting mother fucker you will ever meet. Further idiocy pontificating, in the guise of enlightening whitey, provided by the rasping coughing (is she dying, orange, or did they really screw up her foundation makeup today?) walking death, head black lady.
I highly doubt when Barbara Walters envisioned this show she said to herself: SELF, I'd like to create a show where affluent minority women can sit at the table and complain incessantly about their plight in life. I'd like to take some multi-millionaires, One- an EGOT winner, another an attorney and immigrant whose affluent family fled their native country for the same affluent life in the USA, and finally a scrappy go get-'em former federal prosecutor and on-air legal analyst who is married to an Orthopedic surgeon.
I'd like to add to their already overflowing coffers by offering them multi-million-dollar, multi-year contracts. Then I'd like them to bitch about the price of eggs every day (Trump dig) so the little people don't catch on to the fact ALL OF THESE BITCHES DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT THE PRICE OF EGGS BECAUSE THEY CAN AFFORD THEM. *Sunny gets a pass because she raises chickens*

Sunny started yesterday's podcast by saying "There are some of us, like the 92% of black women that voted not necessarily in our self-interest but voted for the collective."
This is the type of shit that makes her insufferable. First, in what way were black women who voted for Kamala not voting in their own self-interest? I guess maybe she's referring to black female multi-millionaires like herself? I'd really like to hear more from her about all the ways she's benefitting from this current administration. Oh, she can't because she isn't? More importantly, she needs to give this 92% statistic a rest. She brings it up constantly, always with the implication that black women who voted against Trump have some kind of moral superiority over the many, many other people who also voted against Trump. Honey, we all fucking loathe Trump and we all fucking voted against him. You're not special here.

Irony thy name is Sunny. I can see them all sitting in a meeting (except for Whoopi, of course. Just as Oprah doesn't do stairs, Whoopi doesn't do meetings) discussing the next profile subject for Black History month. Nikole Hannah-Jones of Project 1619 infamy becomes the chosen one.
Who better to narrate this segment than Sunny Hostin, descendant of proud slave traders and inheritor of that buy 'em and sell 'em DNA. Just as Sunny is an overzealous biracial defender of all things black, so is Nikole Hannah-Jones. Even going so far as to write a factually incorrect account of slaves in America.
An example of Hannah-Jones judgement or lack thereof: In June 2020, Hannah-Jones apologized for retweeting a conspiracy theory claiming that fireworks were being set off by "government agents" to dampen the Black Lives Matter movement.
God Bless America!
Susan Lucci: I like her, but she kept going on and on, so I muted her. She's taking her gig in Joy's play a bit too far. Interviews are not monologues, Susan.
Will Reeve: Nice kid but he kept going on and on (in a very loud voice. You dad wasn't deaf he was a quadriplegic) so I muted him, too.

I think it is an appropriate and specific reference to old fashioned racists who do not see themselves as racists.
It is a perennially appropriate label.
And there are plenty of Klan Grannies here.
ARE THEY EATING YHE DOGS?
by Anonymous | reply 130 | February 25, 2025 8:28 PM |
What person in the Klan doesn’t see themselves as racist? That doesn’t even make any sense.
It also makes no sense using that term on this board, unless you actually think it’s populated by JD Vance’s Meemaw and her friends. Which I’m guessing you don’t.
But reflexively reacting to anyone who posts something you don’t like by calling them an old white grandma in a white hood says more about you than it does about whomever you’re responding to. What it says is that you’re not funny and not able to articulate a valid counterpoint to something you don’t like.

I thought for sure they were going to celebrate the legacy of Roberta Flack today for 'Black History Month'. (She became the first artist to win the Grammy Award for Record of the Year in consecutive years, to start with.) I thought they'd come out to one of her songs playing.
Instead, we get a quick mention from Whoopi, who does the obligatory acknowledgement of 'I knew her' when asked by Joy, and nothing else. And then they go on to celebrate Nikole Hannah-Jones? Really ? Not Flack ?

Because R135, Sunny blatantly lies. R134, Sunny is lying about the Canadian border in order to push her incessant racial agenda. Alyssa set her straight. Alyssa should have also noted another milestone for Trump - according to the latest Gallup poll he is the most unpopular POTUS in 70 years. Trump is such a genius economist we're now importing eggs form Turkey.
Hey Whoopi, no transparency when discussing gold visas? You own property in Italy, yet I don't believe you have Italian heritage. She didn't say a damn word about that, and they put the camera on her. Nope, nada.

Granted that there is a 99.9% chance that Sunny is lying when she speaks R136, but Alyssa wasn’t giving her a chance to speak at all.
Alyssa is treating this gig as an audition for a full time on-air spot elsewhere.
by Anonymous | reply 138 | February 26, 2025 4:12 PM |
R138, to me Alyssa comes across like a very enthusiastic debate club member. The reason I like to hear her point of view (thinly veiled R gloating aside) is because she sticks to the topic and offers insight into the Trump admin. others at the table do not have. Like when the Black Hawk helicopter crashed into the American Airlines jet, she spoke of flying in one of the helicopters when she worked in DC. It's so much more interesting to me than Sunny's rote race OCD rants.
I wonder why they didn't discuss Congress passing Trump's budget. It gives trillions in tax cuts to his billionaire buds and the safety net programs will be slashed. Millions of low-income Americans will be affected, many of whom live in red states. I suppose a gold visa is more of a headline grabbing story to them.
by Anonymous | reply 139 | February 26, 2025 5:05 PM |
Sunny was NOT happy today. At all. How dare Alyssa have the audacity to state facts and correct her ! Sunny had her train lined up on the track and Alyssa pissed her off by throwing a body onto the track.
And Whoopie was less than happy with Sara and Joy corretcing her on pronouncing the guest's name. She was pissed. This, on top of Alyssa cutting her off a few times.
Let's face it - Alyssa has no fucks left to give. She's proven who she is and I doubt she'll be on the show much longer - she has bigger fish to fry.
by Anonymous | reply 140 | February 26, 2025 7:49 PM |
If Whoopi put an ounce of fucking effort into her job at The View, then she would have a right to be pissed. Otherwise, give me a break. She gets a nice chunk of change for doing shit.
Can't feel bad about how Alyssa treats them. They wanted a conservative Republican after McCain left, because as Sunny stressed, the show needed that kind of viewpoint. So you got one, and a Trumper to boot. There was no reason for the show to hire a Trumper, so fuck them. You got what you deserved.

For 28 Seasons people have been saying this about the show (or something similar). Since the first season with the original cast. This was said when Star Jones was there, Hasslebeck was there, Rosie was there (both times), Jenny McCarthy was there, Raven was there, and of course when McCain was there for four seasons. Everyone (especially on this forum) was writing it's obituary by mid-season. And look - it's still going strong, outlasted all the copy-cats, and sits on top of the ratings.

I like the current cast, although Sunny is starting to get on my nerves. My only complaint is the VYD segment taking up 15 minutes several times a week. If they are the #1 daytime show they should be able to make enough advertising $$$ during the regular commercial breaks.
by Anonymous | reply 144 | February 26, 2025 11:51 PM |
R143, Harris Faulkner/FOX News overtook them in the ratings a few weeks ago. I'm waiting for more recent data to see if it was a fluke or if there is a pattern emerging.
Was there a VYD today or yesterday? Whoever that was introducing the products, she needs to tone down the "you guys." Every five seconds "you guys."

I know it's on CBS, but Sunny hasn't praised 'Beyond the Gates' yet ! They do sometimes talk about show on competing networks (like 'Real Housewives' and 'Masked Singer' in the past). You know Sunny wants to talk about it - and how her marriage and life has influenced the writing for their show.

R148 However you want to see Alyssa's behavior yesterday (good or bad or indifferent), there's no denying she did one big thing that needed to be done for a very long time: SHE CORRECTED SUNNY ON-AIR. I love Sunny jumping in to say Monica Lewinsky wasn't responsible for her actions because she was only 22 during the Clinton affair. Meanwhile, according to Sunny, the 25-year-old DOGE employee who posted racist comments is too old to not be held fully accountable. Both were fucking adults, but of course Sunny's views are always subjective based on race and gender.
by Anonymous | reply 151 | February 28, 2025 3:22 PM |
I agree, R151. Sunny is a helicopter parent, so she will always think of her adult children as perennial innocents whose brains are not yet fully formed. If she and the show are still around in five years, she'll be saying her son is only 27, 28, 29, 30.
Bezos reining in WP opinion page is another Trump appeasement and a step too far for me. This quote dates back to an article from 10/25/2024: "Robert Kagan, who resigned as Post columnist and editor and large over Bezos’ decision Friday, told The Daily Beast he believed Bezos’ decision amounted to a “quid pro quo” with the former president."
“Trump waited to make sure that Bezos did what he said he was going to do, and then met with the Blue Origin people,” Kagan said. “Which tells us that there was an actual deal made, meaning that Bezos communicated, or through his people, communicated directly with Trump, and they set up this quid pro quo.”
CNN reported that Trump also spoke recently to Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon, which Bezos co-founded and now serves as executive chairman. Both Blue Origin and Amazon compete for massive federal government contracts that Trump would have influence over if he were elected president.
He noted that executives from Bezos’ Blue Origin space company met with Trump in Texas on the same day the paper was stopped from issuing an endorsement of Trump’s Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris.
Here comes Pritzker: Look at these ass-kissers trying to backtrack on their anti-billionaire rant when Pritzker walks out. Think before you speak or at least know who the hell your guest is for that day and maybe do some research on your subject.
Yes, Elon is an incompetent and arrogant asshole who is laying waste to AMERICAN agencies, but he and Trump are also intentionally dismantling and disabling our government from within. All of these probationary people they're tossing away are the next gen in training. When our current experts retire, quit or are also cut there will be no one prepared to take their place. This is far-reaching and will be felt for years to come.

As for AFG, she's building her resume on this show. I'm curious if she returns next season - she's moving ahead and has bigger fish to fry. R166, Sunny's heavily pre-scripted.
Whoopi was on the worst dressed lists because of her gown choice yet I thought she looked just fine. It was nice to see her dressed up, but the bitchiness of online fashionistas will probably make her more dress-shy than ever. She still mentions the way she was criticized for a gown she wore to the Oscars decades ago.
Fun show today. I could have done without Ana's theatrics when speaking of the Oval Office throwdown on Friday. I also didn't care for her "I'm so disappointed in you" bullshit directed at Rubio. "Little Marco" sold his soul to Trump back in '16 so why would you be surprised when he flipped the narrative and turned on Zelenskyy? Trump's cabinet only allegiance is to Trump.
Bruce Vilanch is Donna Kelce's doppelganger, lol. He was an entertaining guest.
Bow down to Whoopi back in full effect. So, you know, bow down, bitches.
VYD: An array of women of various shapes, sizes and ethnicities selling their wares. Sunny made sure to mention the black man (Paul Tazewell) who won the Oscar for Best Costume design and making Oscar history. He was the first black male to win the award in 97 years.
Sunny made sure not to mention the white man (Sean Baker) who won four Oscars (best director, best original screenplay, best editing and best picture ) also making Oscar history. Though some say he tied Walt Disney from 1954 (he won four Oscars in one night), Baker won all four from the same movie (Disney won four from different movies). Hostin didn't mention this. Wonder why ?

Whoopi's dress was designed by Christian Siriano.
by Anonymous | reply 169 | March 4, 2025 12:40 AM |
^ Ugh. All the more reason to hate the dress.
by Anonymous | reply 170 | March 4, 2025 4:40 AM |
Hey it was great seeing Whoopi in something other than a potato sack. Her dress was ok and she liked it so let's cut her some slack. I found it interesting and wow, she has a waist. I watch these shows for the fashion. So shoot me, it's fun to watch.
by Anonymous | reply 171 | March 4, 2025 7:32 AM |
Whoopi Goldberg and Zoe Saldana got plenty of praise on the show for what they wore at the event. When will Oscar fashion critics Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro discuss the other minority woman - rap artist Megan Thee Stallion - and her choice of fashion for what she wore at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party ? She grabbed every photographer's attention when she showed up in a green gown with her tits fully exposed and just pasties covering her nipples.
Are Ana and Sunny at a loss for words ? Did Sunny have the difficult conversation with her kids about how not to dress at elegant events ?

Was it Whoopi who was saying if the Dems. are upset, they shouldn't walk out on Trump's speech tonight? Really? Remember when Whoopi and Joy walked out in the middle of the O'Reilly interview.
Why the fuck is this sportscaster always given a seat at the table to talk politics? They sit there and listen to him as if he's some sort of political guru. Trump DOES NOT have a mandate, Stephen. I'll just leave this James Carville quote here.
Carville on Stephen A. Smith: "Doesn’t know his ‘a‑‑ from a hole in the ground’ on politics"
Sunny always plays dumb when someone claims crime is up in NYC. The National Guard wasn't sent to the subway on litter patrol. You're the reason for that, Sunny. Keep supporting bail reform over the rights of law-abiding citizens. For a former prosecutor she sure does love to side with the criminals.
Whoopi's intro for Karine is part of the problem with the Dems message. Enough with the fucking labels. I think she's qualified, but it makes the average person think Dems choose job candidates specifically based on race, sexuality, etc.
Karine looks like a kid I can't believe she's 50
Cop-out on the Biden Harris win/lose question. Quick pivot back to focus on the Rs. I thought she'd be a bit more open and forthcoming, but she's still part of the Dem machine so it's all about staying on message and getting out those talking points.
LOL, she's pulling an Alyssa and telling the Rs to look inward. Yes, please look inward and see if you still possess a soul then check again to make sure it's not tainted orange.
DEI Hires: Sunny continuing to read off Karine's accomplishments when Whoopi said they were running out of time and Joy said it was only an hour show, just shows you how stubborn and obsessed she is with race. If the WH and the Dems had made Karine's more than suitable background the main headline instead of making it about race and sexuality, she would have had more of a fighting chance against the DEI! hire accusations.
No VYD, so yay. Women's History Month so I suppose some will have to look elsewhere for a deal on jockstraps.

Today’s show was especially insufferable. Sunny is reaching Tucker Carlson levels of feigned confusion for any fact or opinion that doesn’t perfectly align with her worldview. Whoopi again speaks directly to the camera and offers pearls of “wisdom” like “we’re not our mothers or grandmothers.” And this from the woman who lectures every Gen Z about how they’re standing on the shoulders of those who came before them.
by Anonymous | reply 174 | March 4, 2025 4:18 PM |
R174, lol, Whoopi is like Trump when she begins to speak. Everyone present at the table sits there quietly knowing damn well she/he don't know what the hell they're talking about yet they're too polite or afraid to interject and correct.
They should have made a mod change when the show shifted to politics. They moved them to the ABC News Division, yet they thought it was fine leaving Whoopi to moderate the show. She's so out of her depth and does nothing but waste precious on-air minutes with her nonsensical know-it-all diatribes.
by Anonymous | reply 175 | March 4, 2025 5:25 PM |

[quote]Was it Whoopi who was saying if the Dems. are upset, they shouldn't walk out on Trump's speech tonight? Really? Remember when Whoopi and Joy walked out in the middle of the O'Reilly interview.
BOTTOM LINE: O'Reilly wasn't the elected President of the United States, and Whoopi and Joy weren't elected Congresswomen. He was a talking puppet at FOX News, and they were cohosts of a talk show.
BIG difference.
by Anonymous | reply 177 | March 4, 2025 9:35 PM |
R177, they were unprofessional, and Barbara Walters was mortified. Of course, this was back when on-air talent had manners and decorum and knew how to act accordingly.
As for your ridiculous POTUS vs Congresswomen analogy, if they walk out tonight, they look immature ad unprofessional which will place them in the same category as Boebert and MT Greene. Are those the optics the American people want to see? I don't think so.
As the Rs spiral out of control with inflation, tariffs and mass layoffs, now is the time for the Dems to appear as the calm and rational party. The Republican base is becoming more and more disgruntled and dismayed with Musk's sweeping powers and Trump's scorched earth mentality. At this point in time stability wins the day (and hopefully the mid-terms.)

[quote]They should have made a mod change when the show shifted to politics. They moved them to the ABC News Division, yet they thought it was fine leaving Whoopi to moderate the show.
When they were under the 'entertainment division' they had news journalist Meredith Vieria as moderator. When she was out, journalist Barbara Walters was the moderator. Why can't they have a non-journalist be moderator under the news division ?
by Anonymous | reply 179 | March 5, 2025 2:29 AM |
Because she's a fucking moron, R179. Because she doesn't bother to attend morning meetings. Because she doesn't bother to study the topics they will be discussing. Because she stops the show dead in its tracks every time she opens her mouth.
Ask her to wax poetic about the ins and out of health insurance. Ask her why she thinks Dr. Jill Biden is an MD and should have been appointed Surgeon General. Ask her about the Holocaust. Ask her why she thinks there's an age cut-off for POTUS. Ask her to read the damn teleprompter then watch her bitch when there are too many words and numbers mixed together. (She actually complained about that a couple of weeks ago.) Just as Trump is unfit for office so is Whoopi unfit for this position.
by Anonymous | reply 180 | March 5, 2025 3:11 AM |

Whoopi told Qwest Love he looked 'great'. Is she kidding ? He's the size of a baby elephant. She should have given him an injection or three of Wegovy.
She also reminded the audience he won an Oscar for his last documentary back in 2022. No one remembers because his award was given right after Will Smith got up on stage and slapped Chris Rock across the face - and all eyes were on Will Smith when he returned to his chair. No one card about the elephant on stage.

Sunny told Mindy she loved what she wore at the Vanity Fair party because Sunny is 'so into fashion'. How come she's still not talking about Megan Thee Stallion showing up to the same party with her tits uncovered, bouncing around ? What does Sunny think of her fashion sense ?

Alyssa may not have voted for Dump but she is so gloating about the state of the Democratic party. I wish someone would remind her that the Dems may be a mess right now but it’s still HER party that’s destroying the country and the true party of shame, so she really has nothing to gloat about.
by Anonymous | reply 193 | March 7, 2025 4:54 PM |
I don’t think she’s gloating. I think she’s right. Dem messaging has been terrible and that video from Hakeem Jeffries was a perfect example of what not to do.

Democrats messaging has to be heard over the Murdoch/Marketing/Analytics noise machine.
THEY'RE EATING THE DOGS!!!
Nobody will hear Democrats until Trump crashes the economy and steals all our money.
Yesterday Trump said America will suffer through a short period of pain to get to the successful horizon.
WASN'T THAT WHAT BIDEN WAS ACTUALLY DOING? And Biden got us down to 3% before the Murdoch Noise machine chimed in
THE EGGS, THE EGGS!!!
by Anonymous | reply 195 | March 7, 2025 6:33 PM |
The best take I've heard is that the message of centrist Democrats is popular but doesn't break through the noise. Far left Democrats break thorough the noise, but their message is unpopular. Somehow the two parts of the party need to work together to be able to break through with a message that voters actually like.

It was interesting watching the interview with 'Octomom' today, especially when Sunny said she was one of the most hated woman in 2008, and everyone mocked her , criticized her, laughed at her, etc.
Yes indeed, Sunny - and Joy Behar was one of them. Every morning at 11 am, live from 'The View' , Joy was absolutely relentless on laughing at her, joking about her, and criticizing her. Too bad no one reminded Joy.

Why did no one specifically mention Trump allowed that asshole Tate back in the USA?
Why does Ana feel compelled to use the word "piss" and the term "pissed off" in an on-air conversation? Why did Sarah then refer to Tate as a "Grown ass man?" Do these women hang out in houses of ill repute on the weekends?
Why does Whoopi not realize when she defended FTM athletes with her ignorant assertions she actually proved the other side of the coin; MTF do indeed have a physical advantage over their female competition.
Why does Dylan Mulvaney continue to pretend he's a girl? He mentioned numerous times during the interview he's "musical theater." He continues to unabashedly beg for a job on Broadway so the stuffed bra and the tuck drones on. Anniversary of becoming a girl? Really?
Why has Sunny yet to annoy me today?

by Anonymous | reply 216 | March 11, 2025 4:48 PM |
R216, I muted her. She started out by saying she assumes the rest of the country is like Michigan. No. When I did unmute, Joy was not following and seemed a bit snarky with her. I suppose I like clear interviews where a question is asked and answered. Some of these guests turn them into endless monologues. I find myself wondering why I continue to watch a talk show when I don't care to hear people talk.
That being said I'm sure someone who actually watched the entire interview could offer better insight.

Let me get this straight...
On today's show (March 12) ABC economist (and Dylan Mulvaney doppelganger) Rebecca Jarvis told the audience that Americans are holding back on purchases from vacations to their daily coffees - as they see their 401Ks and other investments tumble under Trump. She's suggesting everyone do this - start saving money and stop buying impulsively !

Good show today. They chose to make Rosie O's move to Ireland their lead Hot Topic. They went into detail about her feud with Trump yet offered zero clips. Weird.
Wendy on the phone you know, you know? She sounded lucid (except for the annoying "you know" which prefaced every few words) so I hope she breaks free from her guardianship. I believe these court-appointed guardianships have zero financial oversight and many of these so-called guardians rob those in their care, blind.
Ben Falcone was a fun guest. Lots of interesting and heartwarming stories. Nice change of pace.
VYD with Gretta today. I believe they did a VYD each day this week. Talk about overkill.

[quote] Good show today. They chose to make Rosie O's move to Ireland their lead Hot Topic. They went into detail about her feud with Trump yet offered zero clips. Weird.
More weird - or is it ? : The Rosie story has been in the news since early this past week. They decided to talk about it on Friday, when Joy is sitting in for Whoopi. Hmmmmm. I guess Whoopi put her foot down and said 'not on my watch' since she and Rosie supposedly loathe each other ?
Wednesday, March 12: ABC senior economist reports on the economy nose-diving, consumers holding back on 'expensive' purchases, and why consumers should indeed be worried and start saving as much as they can.
Friday, March 14: Let's kick off the weekend and take Greta Monahan's advice to buy an oversized 'family wagon' you can cart your kids, pets and groceries in at $450 - $750 which is half off the regular retail on 'View Your Deal'. Hurry up and get shopping because the clock is ticking ! (You can start saving your money tomorrow, I guess).
The Wendy interview proved to be just 'filler' to me. We're getting only her side of the story (of course) when, in fact, this is a much more complex case. And no one asked how her beloved son is coping through all of this over the past few years ?
by Anonymous | reply 234 | March 15, 2025 1:23 AM |
I suspect Whoopi is less the lovable, chain-smoking and incessantly farting "nana" she'd have us believe. Rosie is no picnic, but has her heart in the right place. That Whoopi had famous falling outs with Ro, and Oprah, and Danson may say more about the Whoopster than the others.

Did Sunny really want us to believe she knew absolutely nothing about the Rosie - Trump blow up back in December, 2006 on 'The View' ? She really needed Joy to 'fill her in' on what had happened because she had no knowledge at all ? Sunny - who always does her homework and preparation before the class starts ? I call bullshit.
And Sunny, the legal expert, should have weighed in whether Rosie was indeed committing defamation for saying on television that Trump (the man) had declared bankruptcy multiple times. (It was his companies, not himself personally - which is why he sued her). Rosie and Trump settled out of court. (I am NO Trump fan).

R237, he did personally guarantee the Taj Mahal bond payments. That's the sign of a desperate businessman. One who could not secure financing in order to build the venue, nor could he secure financing in order to keep this business venture afloat.
HERE: Bankruptcy 1: The Trump Taj Mahal, 1991
"The first bankruptcy associated with Trump was perhaps the most significant in terms of his personal finances, according to news reports at the time. He funded the construction of the $1 billion Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, which opened in 1990. By 1991, the casino was nearly $3 billion in debt, while Trump had racked up nearly $900 million in personal liabilities, so the business decided to file for Chapter 11 reorganization, according to the New York Times. As a result, Trump gave up half his personal stake in the casino and sold his yacht and airline, according to the Washington Post."
If you look at his business history, he has driven every single endeavor into the ground. Within a few years of purchase or build, the debt far exceeds its profit margin. He did the same thing in 2016 as POTUS and he's doing it now as dictator. His bullshit excuse to allow Musk access to our files is just that. He doesn't give a flying fuck about cost-cutting or reducing the deficit. Any monies "saved" will go directly to his $4T in tax cuts for his billionaire buds.

Whoopi’s rambling gets less and less coherent with each passing day. It wasn’t helped today by the fact that she kept referring to the government as “you” and then also referred to average Americans as “ you.” She continues to add nothing to every conversation. R250, I see it too yet when Alyssa brings up IVF treatments, Sunny jumps in and says how she and Alyssa have had lengthy discussions about the subject. Maybe she compartmentalizes when it comes to Alyssa.
R251, I believe her contract is up this year. I wonder if she's acting more engaged lately by actually reading stats off cards and acting as if she gives a fuck (yet still adds nothing to the conversation) is her attempt to stay employed.
Her little ramble after the Schumer discussion could have been summarized in five words. She has this deluded sense of superiority because she's been in the moderator role for so long yet as mentioned, she is sounding more idiotic by the day. What's the issue between Sunny and Alyssa?
by Anonymous | reply 254 | March 18, 2025 7:35 AM |
Sunny shaves he legs, but Alyssa seems to be the Cheryl of The View. It's the stench that gets to Sunny. Whoopi's farts do not compare.
by Anonymous | reply 255 | March 18, 2025 3:07 PM |
Chuck certainly schooled Sunny on why his choice not to vote for a gov't shutdown was the best choice, leaving her looking down and pouting like a scolded school child. He certainly won Sara, Alyssa, and Joy to his side (well, Alyssa and Sara were already on his side), and I believe Whoopi. I agree with the move he made.
Joy told uber-faithful Catholic actor Jonathan Roumie that his series about The New Testament of The Bible is 'an important story to tell'. WTF ? This is the same woman who - for years as a self-proclaimed Atheist - claimed The Bible was a fairytale on the show ? The same woman who compared The Apostles and others in The Bible to mentally challenged patients in a psych hospital who claim they see visions and hear voices ? This is the same self-proclaimed woman who has said for 28 years she doesn't believe in any religion, or any God ? WTF ? Why didn't she go toe-to-toe with him (like she did with Hasslebeck on many shows) and challenge his beliefs ?
by Anonymous | reply 256 | March 18, 2025 10:50 PM |
I was so hoping Chuck had the balls to turn to Sunny and say straight-out to her, "Look Sunny - you're the reason Kamala lost the election. Everyone knows it. Even Trump was using your questioning her in his ads. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be in the mess we're now in. What do you have to say for yourself ?"
She would have clenched her jaw, pursed her lips and stared at Whoopi.

Schumer is now on Chris Hayes' show (MSNBC) and pushing forward the same defense, word for word. Looks like he hasn't canceled all his appearances this week - two shows in one day. I like his defense argument - he's rather convincing we'd be worse off if they shut down.
by Anonymous | reply 259 | March 19, 2025 12:28 AM |
The ladies have their panties in a bunch over Schumer. Most surprising reveal? Sunny talks to supposed regular people when she's out and about.
Whoopi just said Nancy Pelosi was the former Senate majority leader. I know talking heads make mistakes live on air, but you can see they realize their mistake and correct it within seconds. Nope, no correction. She doesn't even know Pelosi was SotH.
More kindergarten level go-to-break rambles from the Uninformed-in-Chief.
That Trump clip looked as if he had something going on with his nose. Pretty ironic if after decades of existing on Mickey Ds and KFC his heart says fuck it let the melanoma take him out.
Whoopi is correct. Alyssa, never get between Joy and her Bermuda shorts.
Boys are falling behind. Light at the end of the tunnel - Trump and the Commanders are now in power and according to Project 2025, girls and women will be treated as second class citizens. Now both boys and girls will be treated like dirt, so yay. It's funny no one mentioned that the progressives are responsible for promoting boys and men, specifically white boys and men as toxic.
De Niro looks good for 81. THE Deb Messing is in his film! I didn't realize she still got work.
Meet the Parents IV is on the horizon. This is what happens when you're still having kids at age 79. $$$$
Not one mention of Trump or politics during the De Niro interview. I noticed the other day Ellen Pompeo inserted a Trump dig but there was no prompt from the co-hosts. They used to welcome celebrity political discourse. Maybe the public sentiment of "act don't think" is affecting their bottom line.
Yay, no VYD. They probably ran out of products to hawk.

Sunny showed her fangs today when discussing Schumer - she was on fire with anger. He was there 24 hours ago sitting next to her - why didn't she vent her anger then, to his face ? Probably because he would've shut her down in thirty seconds.
I can't help but wonder - if Jasmine Crockett, or Maxine Waters, or any other black female Democrat was in Schumer's position and made the same last-minute decision that Schumer did (and sided with the Republicans) would she be upset and on fire as she is with Schumer ? I 100% sincerely doubt it. Sunny would be applauding their decision.

I didn't realize Joy's off-off-Broadway show got bad to mediocre reviews last month. Who would want to pay nearly $100 to see this crap ?

R262, Tovah Feldshuh looks very refreshed. I always imagined she'd age naturally and seek out mature character parts. Adrienne C. Moore is from Orange is the New Black. She was funny on that show so this would be a good fit for her comedic chops. I wonder how long it will run, they're about to start phase three rotation of actresses so maybe it will stick around if she keeps hiring bankable actors.
by Anonymous | reply 263 | March 19, 2025 10:50 PM |
R261, Oprah taught me back in 2008 that race trumps gender so yes, Sunny would definitely find a way to defend the same actions if a black politician had voted with the Rs.

Whoopi is out today, and it looked as if it was pre-scheduled because Ana was at the table.
LET THEM EAT CAKE: Trump has cheap gaudy taste and damn if he isn't proud showing off his tchotchkes like some bursting with pride immigrant grandma. Apologies for using the word "immigrant" in a sentence about Donald Trump. I believe that is now a chargeable offense.
Alyssa: Trump's aesthetic is somewhere between Pablo Escobar and Liberace. LOL. She knows he's the great deflector. Look at the shiny gold and not at the recent reports showing the negative effect the tariffs will have on our economy.
Ana and Joy don't understand why Markle is always a target be it indifference or hate. Come visit the DL and it will be explained to you. *NO KLAN GRANNIE COMMENTS, PLEASE* Bonus points to Sunny for not automatically yelling RACISM! as she's wont to do.
I didn't care for Joy's bit of gruffness during the Burr interview. He's your guest so don't act as if he's an idiot because you can't follow his stream of thought. She's another non-journalist who doesn't know how to interview the subject. Pros know how to guide the guest and control the interview. Sometimes she's a bit off-putting and more than a little rough around the edges.
Today was the one day of the year when Sunny spoke well of white people. Jackie K and Burr. I believe the Burr love is because his wife is black. Now if it had been a black man with a white wife - look out.

Former Utah Republican Representative Mia Love died yesterday at the age of 49. In 2014, she was elected to the US House of Representatives. The daughter of Haitian immigrants, she made history as the first Black Republican woman to take up the role, and served two terms.
I'm sure Sunny will spend plenty of time memorializing Love in the 'Hot Topics' segment. She will gloss over the fact that she was Republican. She will ignore any controversial votes she cast while sitting in Congress, supporting Trump in his first term. She will emphasize she was a strong Black woman. Just try and stop her or cut her off !
Goldgbrg will utter a few words at the end, and get her facts mixed up while doing so.
by Anonymous | reply 274 | March 24, 2025 11:52 AM |
At least for all her bloiviating, Ana acknowledges that the groups being targeted for deportation also overwhelmingly voted for Trump. Sunny, meanwhile, cherry picks facts to rant about black voter suppression despite black voters increasingly leaning towards Trump and increased voter turnout actually *hurting* Democrats this time around.
by Anonymous | reply 275 | March 24, 2025 4:29 PM |
Thanks for the explanation, R270.
They should have covered the leak about Trump monetizing the WH Annual Easter Egg Roll: " The White House, through an outside event production company called Harbinger, is soliciting corporate sponsors for this year’s Easter Egg Roll, which is prompting major concerns from ethics experts and shock from former White House officials from both parties.
The sponsorship offers range from $75,000 to $200,000, with the promise of logo and branding opportunities, according to a nine-page document sent to potential sponsors and obtained by CNN"
"Among the offerings for prospective sponsors: “Naming rights for key areas or elements,” “Sponsor logos featured on event signage,” “Custom-branded baskets, snacks/beverages, or souvenirs,” “Mentions in official event communications and social media posts,” “Acknowledgment in printed or digital event programs,” and “Inclusion in press releases and media interviews.” Sponsors can also gain access to an “invite-only brunch hosted inside the White House by FLOTUS,” tickets to the event, and a private White House tour."
Sorry to all the AOC fans but she comes across like a whiny low EQ child. As Sara said, I don't want to hear you yell about what's going on in DC, I want you to offer solutions to counteract what is going on in DC. Their cuts which are now beginning to trickle down (remember that one?) to the state level makes all of these DC DOGE antics real for the average American. Less hyperbole and more thoughtful responses from the Ds would be welcome.
R275, I've also noticed that's Sunny's go-to. She always leaves out facts which will hinder her argument. It's very deceiving, it weakens her believability factor, and it makes her the Kellyanne Conway of The View.
Points to Ana for stating the truth. The Muslims who voted for Trump also feel betrayed. Too bad. How stupid are people to trust a guy who has shown us time and time again he's a liar, a cheat and someone who will turn on a dime if it benefits him.

Thank God Tamron Hall - who thinks her son is so special he deserves a 'children's book' centered around him - was the guest today. R285, at least Alyssa brings something to the table. It was interesting listening to her talk about being in the room when they were planning attacks on the enemy. You may not like her, but she has inside knowledge of what happens in government, and I appreciate her knowledge and experience on those kinds of topics.
by Anonymous | reply 288 | March 26, 2025 3:41 AM |
R288 Agreed. And this is why (I believe) there is so much animosity between her and Sunny. Sunny wants to be the smartest one in the studio, and everyone has let her have that title since she joined in 2016. Then AFG joins the table, with all her hands-on-experience in the Trump administration, shares valuable knowledge, and most importantly - is not afraid to (professionally) challenge Sunny. This is why, sitting two feet to AFG's right, Sunny won't make eye contact with her or ever look to her direction during Hot Topics (unless they're discussing IVF procedures).
This past weekend, AFG was all over CNN programming, talking about current, ever-changing stories coming out of DC. A couple of weeks ago, she was a guest on Bill Maher (though, you 'd never know it since they never talked about it on Monday morning). I'll be shocked if AFG returns to the show next season - and if she does, I'd be shocked if she returns full-time. (Maybe she will switch places with Ana, and let Ana deal with Sunny on a daily basis ?).
But I really believe she will get a better, more visible opportunity on CNN. Perhaps her own weekend show ? "The View" is just a stepping stone for AFG right now.

What is going on with Joy ? The actress LaTanya Richardson Jackson was on yesterday, and she was praising God for 'carrying her' through the years, for 'carrying the cast' each night on B'way, etc. She seems to be a failthful woman and was really emphasizing her belief and faith in God is what got her to where she is at 75.
Joy, the longtime self-proclaimed Atheist who always went after Hasslebeck whenever she praised God for things going right in her life, sat there like a bobble-head again and didn't challenge her. She didn't ask about when things go wrong in her life and if 'God' is to blame (as she did countless times with Hasslebeck). She didn't refer to God as the 'pretend person in the sky' and other 'sarcastic' remarks as she did with Hasslebeck. What she did do is smile and nod her head in agreement with whatever the actress said.
I guess she feels perky, cheerful Hasslebeck was always as an easier target to chastise and challenge then a 75 year old dramatic actress ?

R308, I believe the difference in temperament has more to do with guest vs co-worker than anything else. It's one thing to allow a guest to speak of their faith when you only have one six-minute segment to ask all the questions. You wouldn't waste time confronting them on their beliefs because it would be rude and more importantly in network tv- a time waster.
With Elizabeth, I suppose it was a constant annoyance to Joy, so she went after her. I know when Elizabeth returned as a guest co-host a few years ago. no matter what she said or what the topic was, she would thank God in every sentence. It was weird and way over-the-top,
Anyway, I think Joy is kind of bitchy sometimes and her little digs make her look petty and small. She and Sunny suffer from Only Child Syndrome.

by Anonymous | reply 317 | March 28, 2025 10:35 PM |
R316 Maybe, but the bottom line is - your beliefs are your beliefs. No matter who is sitting next to you and their beliefs don't align with yours, the last thing you do is nod along and smile in agreement with what is being said. Plenty of times we have seen guests with a different political opinion than the women, and the women sit seriously and listen, not smile and nod in agreement. She did the same thing with the actor last week from The Chosen, who proclaimed his faith and how important God is to him. Joy agreed with everything he said (and I pointed this out last week).
Look at how Sunny treated Chuck Schumer two weeks ago - he said what he believed in and why he voted to pass the budget bill, and she politely told him her beliefs did align with his and she didn't agree with what he said. She stood up for her beliefs, didn't nod approvingly and didn't come across to viewers as a hypocrite. To both the actor last week, and the actress this week - Joy could've done like Sunny did. Listen politely, and then explain she didn't agree with them, as she's a lifelong Atheist. No harm done.

R320, it's not a talk show about religion. They're a pseudo political pop culture talk show. There's no way in hell any of them should attack someone else's religious beliefs. The only appropriate reason may be if the guest is someone who uses their religion to go after a specific group. I think the politicians are fair game but an actor, no way.
by Anonymous | reply 320 | March 29, 2025 1:40 AM |
[quote]There's no way in hell any of them should attack someone else's religious beliefs.
Yet Joy has, rpeatedly. She has attacked people's religious beliefs constantly over the years, but it just so happens the people weren't sitting beside her as a guest. They were home watching the show or in the audience.
The subject of religion - with no political connection in the topic - comes up regularly, and Joy has no issues when it comes to mocking it and making jokes (especially Catholicism and Christianity - never the Jewish religion, Islamic, Hindu, etc. - just Christianity). She has declared herself an Atheist, and has said she doesn't believe there's a man in the sky performing 'magic' (referring to God). She has referred to the Bible as a 'book of fairytales'. So be it - those are her strongly held beliefs for many years (she was raised a Catholic), and I respect her for it. As I said, she has repeated them many times over the past 28 seasons - we're convinced.
We're so convinced that when she's sitting next to a guest praising God, praising Christianity, praising Catholicism - and she sits there and agrees with and nods in approval of what they say - we can't help but see she's nothing more than a hypocrite. Does she have to challenge them ? No. But she could remain neutral, do no head-nodding in approval, and make no comments of approval and agreement. After all, she's totally disrespecting the guest even more by patronizing them in such a way, when everyone watching knows she doesn't agree with a word they're saying.
Maybe she should take lessons from Bill Maher, a fellow Atheist / talk show host / comedian ? Over the years - for about as long as she has - he has publicly mocked religions, God, the Bible, etc. He has also made his beliefs known. Plenty of times he has had guests on his show praising God, Jesus, Christianity, etc. and he never agrees with them nor does he challenge them. He may make a humorous remark without offending them. yet more importantly, he candidly reminds them they have different views from each other.
by Anonymous | reply 321 | March 29, 2025 2:08 AM |
R321, she doesn't go after other religions because she speaks from personal experience. She talks about Catholicism and Chrisitainity because that is how she was raised. I also believe she once said she was Agnostic not an Atheist.
When she does mock religion, it's more about the afterlife and not to do with any specific gripe with the church. I recall her going after Sunny and Ana for believing in psychics who talk to the dead. During one HT she made a joke about her Aunt Rose while mocking Sunny and Ana for their naivete and gullibility.
As for the guests, did it ever occur to you when she smiles and shakes her head, she's bored out of her mind waiting for the guest to stop speaking so the panel can ask the next question. Again, I don't understand why you think a co-host should debate a guest who throws in an Amen or Praise Jesus during their interview.

Honestly, I prefer the celebrity focus at this point since the panel has nothing fresh to offer on politics.
Whoopi: “You need to stop lying to us. We see you.”
Sara: “Congress needs to stop fighting and do their jobs. Like Elisa Slotkin.”
Ana: “Latinos should be outraged at the way this administration is treating immigrants. Also, Latinos voted for Trump.”
Sunny: “Democrats need to be an opposition party. Just like the 92% of black women who voted to save democracy.”
Alyssa: “People didn’t vote for this. They voted to lower the price of eggs, which still hasn’t happened.”
Joy: “I once got fired for two years.”

LOL, R324. Spot on. An intelligent person will listen to an opposing opinion and answer based on new facts presented. These ladies never seem to budge from their comfort zones. Either they're too stubborn or too stupid to see the other side of an argument when presented with facts adverse to their stance.
I'm sure I'll get flack for this, but Alyssa is the most interesting one at the table lately. She worked directly with Pence at the Pentagon and is the only one able to give us clear and concise reasons why this SIGNAL fuck up is so huge (Yuuuuuge for Donnie fans.) She's the real insider, not name-dropping Ana who really has no substantial info because Kamala et al were not stupid enough to reveal classified info to friends and lovers. (Hegseth brought his wife to two classified meetings with foreign military officials.)

That's because 'new facts' are not presented by the opposing opinion. It's all MAGA lies repeated over and over again from FOX news and other MAGA propaganda machines. The comfort zones they don't "budge from" are called facts and reality.

[quote]Sara Gilbert is doing The View? That’s gotta be awkward. When 'the reboot of 'Roseanne' premiered a few seasons ago, she was a guest back then with John Goodman (and I think Roseanne or Metcalf). She didn't say much - just sat there like a disinterested Goth teenager. She may have smirked a few times. The focus was on the ABC reboot - nothing at all was said about 'The Talk' which she was getting ready to depart. Now she's returning as 'her series' (The Conners) on ABC is ending. So she has to promote the ending for ratings.
I'm betting nothing will be said about the copycat show 'The Talk' which she 'created' in 2010, because there was no other talk show out there with five women giving different opinions on daily headlines. Genius, Sara !

Sara Gilbert eats snatch. She was looking for pussy on The View.
by Anonymous | reply 331 | March 31, 2025 7:28 PM |
Such a dull interview today, and Gilbert's 50 year old 'goth' look is just not cutting it anymore. They made certain they sidestepped the 2 elephants in the room: "The Talk" and Roseanne Barr, who is the one who gave Gilbert her shot at fame (as the original producer of 'Roseanne' back in 1988, she claims she had hand-picked her for the cast and was furious when she found out Gilbert was (supposedly) who got her fired from the re-boot and had it canceled.
All this talk on and on about Amber Ruffin being 'fired' from the WHCD. It doesn't appear she was 'fired' as she was not replaced by anyone - they have decided to redo the whole event and drop the comedy portion. And if Ana really wants to push the 'because she's a black gay comedienne' angle, then why not invite gay black journalist Eugene Daniels on the show, who happens to be president of the association, and made the decision to drop the segment ? Tell him to his face why you believe she was 'fired' by him.
For God's sake - Greta Monahan showcased six simple things on the show today...she really can't talk about each item without using her idiot cards to read off of ? I've said it before and I'll say it again - if you want viewers to shop the garage sale, act like you really love the stuff and know all about it (as I taught my sales associates in my store) - that's what customers want to be a part of, not you reading off your index cards. Take lessons from Adam Glassman or re-watch some old videos of Martha Stewart selling her crap on TV!
by Anonymous | reply 332 | March 31, 2025 7:57 PM |
Honestly, I'm glad they dropped the comedian angle. I don't see it as capitulation, I see it as not feeding the beast. Because you know whatever half-assed jokes were made were just going to be fodder for a late night Truth Social rant and Faux News outrage to gin up the culture war. Why give them exactly what they're looking for?
by Anonymous | reply 333 | March 31, 2025 8:24 PM |
R332, I'm glad you mentioned what Gilbert did to Roseanne. I'm no fan of Roseanne's fall off the sanity cliff but the way Gilbert moved in for the kill was beyond normal business as usual in Hollywood. It was cutthroat and a stab in the back to the woman who handed her a career.
I'll just add I thought it was hilarious when Sunny spoke so solemnly of visiting slave quarters. Was she visiting the family biz in Puerto Rico? She's a lousy actress so I wonder how she was so successful as a prosecutor with her bullshit dramatics.

Exactly, R334. I'm not fan of Roseanne or give her a pass on the situation she put herself in back then (2018). But what Gilbert did - and anyone can Google and find all what RB said about her firing - was awful. Yet, here they all are gathered around the table and congratulating her on the series' run.
And Gilbert did the obligatory 'Whoopi's Ass Kiss' as she mentioned a few times Whoopi did a guest appearance on the show. I swear it must be a stipulation for a guest to sit at the table.

Can we trust what Roseanne Barr says? She has a history of fabricating. They both come across as messy and unpleasant but if I had to choose a side it wouldn't be Rosanne's . Or it might be if I knew she was getting psychiatric help and taking it seriously.
by Anonymous | reply 337 | March 31, 2025 10:52 PM |
R337 I do believe Roseanne in this case, because Gilbert was in the driver's seat within days. It was always way 'too coincidental' on how it happened. If they brought in someone else to exec produce and take over the show, then I'd seriously doubt Roseanne.
by Anonymous | reply 338 | March 31, 2025 11:25 PM |
Exactly, R338. R337, the proof is the outcome. Roseanne willingly gave up all royalties to Roseanne/The Conners and walked away. Who got the career reboot and who got the boot? It's pretty obvious Sara was doing her own low-brow version of All About Eve. It was creepy to the point in The Conners intro Sara placed herself in Roseanne's seat at the kitchen table and also did the laugh at the end. Sorry but I think she's a Grade-A asshole and a comatose actress whose talents and glory days are long behind her.

R341, Easter is about three weeks later this year. Your internal clock is correct, but the Liturgical calendar does its own thing.
Whoopi fucked up Richard Chamberlain's age in that 15 second in memoriam. They also messed up when they were talking about internet access in rural areas. Why didn't they know Musk gutted that office and made Starlink (his company) the new provider.
So glad that motherfucker lost Wisconsin. Bribing voters and dumping $20M into that state for this one election yet democracy prevailed. Musk found out the hard way not all Americans are as easily bought as Trump. I hope they discuss it during HT tomorrow.

R349, there's a way to go about it. She should have told her that it bothered when they went to break or better yet, off-set. Sara strikes me as a sensitive type of person who goes out of her way to make people comfortable, so for Whoopi to do that to her in front of a live audience was cruel.
by Anonymous | reply 351 | April 2, 2025 10:26 PM |
[quote]Sara's a very physical person. I believe they moved her seat because she kept joke-punching Sunny or someone at the table.
That was Joy who was constantly being 'punched in the arm' by Sara. It used to be: Whoopi, Joy, Sara, Sunny, in the 2021-22 season - and Sarah kept punching Joy in her left arm. You could see Joy getting visibly upset with her (and I don't blame her), and in a very serious tone said 'it hurts and when I get home it's all black and blue'. Sara stopped for a while, and then when they came back with the new season in September, 2022 and AFG and Ana joined, that's when they switched Sara and Joy's seats.
by Anonymous | reply 352 | April 2, 2025 11:39 PM |
Today, Whoopi said that 'the left' is fighting every day with town hall meetings and outside protests and demonstrations attracting 'thousands of people'. She said the problem is 'no one in the media' is covering it.
I guess she doesn't watch The Rachel Maddow Show every night on MSNBC because Maddow has been devoting the first ten minutes or so of every night to cover the groups going to the demonstrations and town hall meetings. Just because ABC isn't covering them doesn't mean 'no one' is.
by Anonymous | reply 353 | April 2, 2025 11:43 PM |

Nice to see Audra McDonald on the show today. Tony nominations cut-off is April 27, and nominations are announced a few days later - so in a very competitive season, it was great to see Audra in front of the cameras reminding nominee voters she's doing eight shows a week. (I hope they book her biggest competitor Nicole Scherzinger in the coming weeks, as well).
What was disappointing was that she didn't perform live in front of the audience as many B'way performers do on the show. And why didn't everyone in the audience get tickets to the show ?
by Anonymous | reply 358 | April 3, 2025 11:28 PM |
I always wonder about the ticket thing. What do tourists who are leaving that day or the next and don't have time to go to a show do with the tickets?
by Anonymous | reply 359 | April 3, 2025 11:33 PM |
R359 - raincheck tickets I would presume for a future performance.
by Anonymous | reply 360 | April 3, 2025 11:38 PM |
R359 They don't take them. Even those who live in the city - if they have no interest in the show, they don't take them. No one says they have to take those or any of the other give-aways on the show.
If the value of the give-away is more than $500, the audience member has to declare it as income on their taxes (and they have to give the show representative their name, ss#, etc. so ABC reports it at the end of the year). Two tickets to any B'way show these days could very easily put you over the $500. So if you have no interest in the musical and don't want to pay taxes on the tickets, you don't take them.

I loved the power-play between Sunny and Ana this morning, when Cory Booker came out to take his seat at the table. Naturally, the two ass-kissers both jumped off their stools to clap and welcome him, but Ana was going to do one better - she actually walked towards Booker and greeted him with a hug and whispered something in his ear, leaving Sunny behind standing at her stool. If looks could kill - Sunny killed Ana.
The camera focused on Ana and Booker embracing off to the side, while the others waited for Booker to make his way to the table...which he did, eventually. He kissed Whoopi and Sara, both seated, then got his quick embrace from Sunny, yet quickly moved to lean in and kiss Alyssa sitting at the end.
I'm sure there was hell to pay after the show. Sunny is not a gracious loser - not when it comes to power plays with Ana.
One more thing - Adam Glassman of 'Oprah's Deals' is at least in his mid-60s, if not older. Can someone tell him not to dress like a preppy college boy from the 80s ? That sweater with the paper airplane diagram on it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too young for him. It looked like what Chess King used to sell to the 'cool gay guys'.

Ana is a striver and a climber. Sunny is an OCD racist. When I say racist, I'm referring to its original definition: Taking pride in one's race. Ana wants the social points; Sunny wants to promote an image of gravitas in regard to her civic-minded activism. Put simply Ana is a wannabe star fucker, desperate to be perceived as one of the cool kids. Sunny is a biracial woman who will never feel black enough or be black enough for the community she always defends and incessantly promotes.

Don't be so condescending, R365. I gave the original definition of the word. It's been co-opted over the years to mean something else. The fact you can't read a word without bringing your emotional baggage into the conversation speaks to your inability to debate in a civil manner.

When Sunny mentioned the man who designed the roadways around the Capitol, why did she have to say 'a Black man' ? It was totally unnecessary and added nothing to what she was saying about Trump's planned military parade. If she felt she needed to be descriptive about him, why didn't she tell us his age, his sexuality, and his religion, too ? Why stop at race ?
That woman Barbara who held the yard sale on the show this morning could really teach Greta Monahan a few things - starting with breezing through each product across the stage without referring to her index cards. She came across as sincere and really knowing her products (which sells the products), where Monahan does not.

Their Hot Topics are so behind. They just realized yesterday that Trump wants to send incarcerated US citizens to El Salvador. This was in the news back in February when Ana's bestie Marco Rubio (she's so disappointed in him and it's like the entire party has let her down yet she's still a Republican, right, Ana?) visited there and discussed the deal.
Today they should have included the news Congress passed a bill reining in district court judges who go against Trump's demands. I hope to God it doesn't make it through the Senate. We're in some scary times, people.
Otherwise, it was a light, fun show today with their new go-to: Celebrity co-star pairings as one segment guests.

R379 IIRC, Ana stays in NYC weekdays and heads back to FL on the weekends to be with her husband (who is 20+ years older than she). As a matter of fact, Alyssa was on the CNN morning show with the sexy John Berman just hours before she went on 'The View' the other day. I've seen Ana on CNN's 'Newsnight with Abby Phillip' during the week.

Today we saw just how uncomfortable an intelligent white male can male Sunny Hostin feel.
As Scott Galloway was talking about masculinity, Sunny sat there staring into space as she sucked in her lips. While the others nodded approvingly, Sunny showed no approval or any emotion. She was frozen because the white man was actually making sense - and actually going against what she said a year ago.
Galloway said men are 'natural protectors' and know their place in society is to protect others, and make others safe. The other hosts agreed (I think Sara even clapped her hands) while Sunny sat frozen. When Galloway mentioned the man's natural instinct 'to protect others' no matter where - even 'on the subway' - Sunny didn't blink or even breathe. 'Penny vs Neely' anyone ?
After all, she believes protection - especially from a white male - should come from offering a potentially dangerous aggressive individual on a subway a bottle of water and a sandwich. But she didn't challenge Galloway because he would've squashed her like a bug. So she sat uncomfortably, like a statue.

Thanks, R383, I no longer have cable, but I do see the occasional online news clip with Ana sitting at the table. I'm thinking Joy was only out one day this week beyond her normal Monday, it just happened to be the day they were pre-recording Friday's show.
As for Galloway, I thought he was all over the place with his defense of the modern male. I was watching it live while working in my kitchen so maybe I wasn't really paying full attention. I'll have to rewatch to gain better clarity, but I thought some of his points rang hollow. One minute he's talking about men being masculine, their poor hygiene, their femininity and whatever. He made a hell of a lot more sense when he was breaking down the long-term devastation of Trump's tariffs.

When she was last on (I think Season One) the show had star Forest Whittaker on to promote the show. Whoopi kept saying it was one of the best shows on TV, and viewers should watch it. I gave it a try and she was right ! I'm hooked on it - one of the best shows on television now. Season 4 premiered this past Sunday.
The show is on MGM+ which many are saying is available with your DIsney+ subscription. It's worth watching ! This season they added Rome Flynn to the cast - sexy as ever !

The current cast, performing through April 20, features Veanne Cox (Cinderella), Jackie Hoffman (Only Murders in the Building), Carolyn McCormick (Law & Order), and Andrea Navedo (Jane the Virgin).
The final New York cast starts performances on April 23. That cast includes Marilu Henner (Taxi), Marsha Mason (The Goodbye Girl), Julia Sweeney (Saturday Night Live), and Benja K. Thomas (Fat Ham).

Cheech & Chong have been doing a lot of media interviews the past few weeks, including a recent interview on CBS' Sunday Morning. They are celebrating their fiftieth anniversary in show business together (I think they said that's a record for a non-married comedy duo) and they have a new documentary coming out (I think on Hulu).
However C&C on the same morning with Bowen Yang ? I'd rather they gave C&C the whole morning and skip Yang.
by Anonymous | reply 398 | April 19, 2025 1:40 PM |
I see, R398. Hulu is the dead giveaway because it's a Disney company as is ABC/The View. So of course, they'll promote the shit out of anything appearing on the failed Hulu channel.
I hope Whoopi doesn't take up an entire segment tomorrow talking about the passing of Pope Francis. I liked him but she makes no sense, and her only gift is the ability to make no sense for minutes on end. I hope she keeps it brief.
by Anonymous | reply 399 | April 21, 2025 11:18 PM |
I do hope they reminisce with Cheech about his time co-starring on the hit sitcom 'Golden Palace'. They can all talk about their favorite episodes.
I wonder if Joy Behar is going to say how wonderful the Pope was and how much good he did for the Catholic Church ? We can blame her aging memory on the fact that she's forgetting she's been telling us for over 20 years she's an Atheist and a reformed Catholic , who never believed in the doctrine of the Church.
by Anonymous | reply 400 | April 21, 2025 11:42 PM |

She will show footage of meeting the Pope a few years ago, and the Pope telling Whoopi what an inspiration she's been in his life - that he decided to become a Catholic priest after he saw her one-woman show on Broadway in the 80s. And Whoopi will be on camera grinning from ear to ear.

I can’t believe Eva Longoria came on a day when Ana wasn’t there. I also can’t believe Whoopi thought it would be cute to imitate a lispy Spanish accent. She really lives in her own little world.
by Anonymous | reply 409 | April 22, 2025 3:38 PM |
I’m glad Sunny was able to work in her Spanish ancestry. Now she has another identity she can glom onto in addition to being Puerto Rican, black, Jewish, and a cafeteria Catholic. Weird that the family history as slave traders don’t come up, though.

Joy was rather quiet today - didn't really participate in the discussion of The Pope (not to the extent the other four did), and was still rather quiet during Longoria's interview. Something seems 'off' with her. I really wonder if she will return for a new season next fall.
R410 - I can't stop laughing!
by Anonymous | reply 412 | April 22, 2025 10:57 PM |
R412, I thought she looked tired and a bit drawn. It could be because she's been doing double duty with her OB play or maybe she went away over the holiday and came back exhausted.

She's 82. At that age you're aging at an accelerated pace. DNA replication and all that. Age limits on talk show hosts! Now! I'm voting her out.

Joy’s definitely slipping.
by Anonymous | reply 416 | April 23, 2025 12:56 AM |
I think when Walters was that age (82) is when the rumors started she had dementia and ABC wanted her to leave the show. She ended up staying another two years, and got worse each day.
by Anonymous | reply 417 | April 23, 2025 1:59 AM |
Joy may be slowing down but she's still pretty sharp. The same can't be said for Whoopi who gets crankier and less coherent with each passing day.
by Anonymous | reply 418 | April 23, 2025 2:01 AM |
I love how one minute the panel is advocating for billionaires to be taxed and then the next minute Whoopi is ranting about wanting her social security check. Also, can Sunny stop it with the Greek chorus of "hmmms" anytime she's about to inject race into a topic? I have no doubt that she's right that this administration is worried about the drop in white births--but the policy they were discussing applies to everyone. I was surprised that no one pushed back on her more on that.
by Anonymous | reply 419 | April 23, 2025 3:28 PM |
Once again, Sunny says when she looks at these proposals she wants to know "why" and "who" is making them. So she spits out her 'research' and her 'statistics' on pregnancies from last year, with the 1% increase in births with Hispanic mothers and Asian mothers. So apparently 'white' and 'black' populations are not on the increase.
Well, Sunny, the way you like to question 'why' and 'who', the viewers question 'where' - where are you getting your stats and facts ? She never tells. I'm glad Alyssa tried to set her straight.
by Anonymous | reply 420 | April 23, 2025 4:36 PM |
It was scary looking at Patti LuPone in that video. She turned 76 this past Monday, and all the make-up on her does more bad than good. She looked like something melting from the wax museum. Too bad she feels the need to do all that to her face - she has natural Italian / Mediterranean beauty which usually ages well on women.
by Anonymous | reply 421 | April 23, 2025 4:54 PM |
Joy and Whoopi, once again, say 'no media' is covering the daily protests against the government by the liberals and conservatives and they should 'to get the message out'. Can someone grab their TV remotes and change the channel to MSNBC because THAT'S where all the coverage is - each day and night ? Rachel Maddow covers the coverage every weeknight, for fifteen minutes (on average), and gives commentary.
by Anonymous | reply 422 | April 23, 2025 6:47 PM |
R422, I don't have cable, but do I read news sites and I haven't seen any coverage on the protests.
by Anonymous | reply 423 | April 23, 2025 7:13 PM |
I guess MSNBC has a monopoly on the coverage.
Chris Hayes (8pm) usually covers it, though not to the extent of Maddow, and Maddow always devotes the opening of her show on the coverage for that day (and on Monday she covers the weekend protests). Last night with the protests, she focused on Elon Musk's conspiracy that the protesters are mostly 'paid Democrats' to be there. She then aired aerial views of Manhattan from the weekend, showing the thousands of protesters from the weekend. "Really ? Those protesters are all paid to be there ?"
I finally caught up with 'The Weekend' from Sunday morning (I wasn't able to watch it live on Easter Sunday). They devoted the end of their 9 am hour to the protests from Saturday. showing footage from every major city. Velshi's show also did the same at 10 am.

These bitches are so phony. Michelle Obama doesn't show for the inauguration and they turn it into a feminist screed about expectations placed on women. Then in the same sentence they acknowledge that no one says anything when Melania doesn't show up to events. Right. Because it's not about sexism. It's about the fact that Michelle has always attended these events, so it's noteworthy when she skips one. Then Whoopi ends with an empowerment rant about how you shouldn't care what other people think--except I guess when it comes to the Trump administration since they tell us every day that our opinions count?
by Anonymous | reply 426 | April 24, 2025 3:18 PM |
Trump's inauguration? That was her choice as she is no longer First Lady, but I felt she should have shown up for Carter's funeral. It's a sign of respect and has nothing to do with female empowerment. Whoopi sounds selfish and childish when she says she has never done anything she didn't want to do. Sometimes you have to show up. So, grow up.

Whose idea was it to wrap Sunny in a gray velour bedspread on one of the warmest days in April in NYC ? She looked like an idiot. Where is Whoopi’s reflexive “don’t trust the polls” speech every time they mention that Trump’s sagging approval ratings? I get it’s not exactly the same as election polling, but if anything it’s less meaningful because there are idiots in this country who disapprove of him and *still* vote Republican. Alyssa is one of them. She may not have voted for Trump but she voted down ballot for the people who are enabling him now.

As far as I recall, her reflexive speeches you're anticipating are reserved for elections. She makes it clear she has little to no faith in them, and encourages all of us not to believe them (whether they are pro or con a candidate we support) and go out and vote. She mentions the 2016 presidential polls all the time with Hillary polling above and beyond Trump.
I don't think she's ever said anything about not trusting other polls, including approval / disapproval polls.

I remember a few years after Meredith left (and Rosie took over for that one season), she was interviewed about her 8 season run as moderator, and the changes Rosie made when she took over. Meredith made it clear that she had insisted she wanted to keep politics to a minimum at the Hot Topics table. The cohosts agreed, as did producers Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie. They can bring it up now and then, but let it not be the sole focus. Of course, the Bill Clinton / Monica Lewinsky affair made the headlines, so they couldn't avoid it - but it was really a platform for Joy Behar to make her endless 'Monica Lewinsky' jokes. The fraus laughed along. Ratings were unspectacular, yet hummed along.
Then Rosie joined for 2006-07, and she made her changes if she was coming on as moderator - no avoiding politics if their in the headlines. A major shift in Hot Topics, and ratings went through the roof - putting the show on 'the map'. Part of me wishes Rosie was in the moderator's seat this season of Trump and not Whoopie.

It's one thing to debate a topic or to discuss why one of the co-hosts may rub you the wrong way. But you always attack as if your word is the last word and you always make it racial. Why don't you stick to the show and lay off the people who post opposing views. It is called The View after all.

They're not good at politics. You can predict what all of their responses on any given political topic are going to be.
Also, for a show that prides itself on different views, there's a complete absence of true left-wing pundits. Same tired ass topics, with the same tired ass responses.

[quote] They're not good at politics. You can predict what all of their responses on any given political topic are going to be.
To be fair, this is true with ANY show covering political topics on television. The show (should) knows its audience. There is not supposed to be any surprises. Every show has an audience who is tuning in each day and wants re-assurance, not surprises.
The topic could be 'Trump tariffs'.
As you say, on 'The View', I can predict what all their given responses will be before the five women start discussing. I'm never wrong because I'm their loyal viewer and I want no surprises.
I can click the remote and watch 'The Five' on FOX a few hours later, and I can easily predict what all their given responses will be before the five hosts start talking. (I even know what the tone will be in Judge Jeannine's voice before she starts talking). I'm never wrong. Same with the FOX talks show 'Outnumbered' - I know exactly what will come out of each hosts' mouth before they look into the camera. I'm not their loyal viewer (either show), I tune in occasionally (for about ten minutes tops) and expect no surprises in their responses.
Same with Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Andrew Cuomo, Anderson Cooper, etc, I know what they're going to say because I know who their audience is.
by Anonymous | reply 467 | April 27, 2025 5:18 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 468 | April 27, 2025 5:21 PM |
And that's why I don't or rarely watch any of it R467. I don't need a democratic version of The Five.
Last time I watched The View was over the summer, and Ana and Sunny trying to one up each other over who knew Kamala better wore out its welcome real fast. Used to be it was just Barbara and Whoopi who knew the big names, with the others hosts giving a little more grounded perspective. Now it's just five rich, out of touch women. It's hilarious watching them discuss anything that relates to the average viewers, because they're tailored not to offend anyone who does business with ABC, but anyone else they might have deals with. When they didn't acknowledge their bosses Disney donating money to antigay politicians, for example.

I'll preface this by saying I don't watch cable news shows but I think the difference with this show and its heavy lean into politics is the subject is always Trump. If it's not directly about him, it's always Trump-adjacent. It's boring watching the same responses over and over because we all know they hate Trump so they will never offer an objective opinion or a fresh perspective on any given Trump Hot Topic.
I believe Sunny once defended Trump in regard to bail reform, so she stayed true to her beliefs, but I honestly can't come up with any other examples. Alyssa may defend certain Trump policies, she is a Republican after all, but we all know she personally hates him for going after her former boss, VP Pence. They don't have to like the guy, but it would be nice if they (especially Joy) could put the vitriol aside for one day and just concentrate on the specific Hot Topic be it policy or whatever and not make it all about their emotions.
Lastly, Trump's approval rating now stands at 39%. I wonder if they'll discuss that tomorrow.

R470, your posts are synonymous with mental illness. You don't ever defend your position you just attack with your racist bullshit. That's the irony here. You have built-in racial biases which you project onto us.
I don't hate Whoopi, but I do think she is unqualified for the position of moderator. I also don't care for her low-brow demeanor. That's not racist that's classist but the bottom line is her behavior is inappropriate for the role of moderator. I don't hate Sunny, but I do think she is race-obsessed and twists herself into a pretzel to make every damn thing about racial injustice. I don't hate Joy, but I'm sick of her OTT emotional rants about Trump. We know, Joy. We know. Ana? Celeb name-dropper and Evita on the balcony rants wear thin. Nothing to do with her race or ethnicity. Alyssa? She gets her gloat on occasionally about the Rs controlling EVERYTHING, but I also look forward to her insight on Trump and the inner workings of the WH and its staff. Sara? I think she actually looks at each topic with an open mind and I don't think she's a waste of breath because she white and blonde as someone likes to constantly post in these threads.
It's not about race until someone makes it about race.

You've shown everyone you do r476
by Anonymous | reply 477 | April 27, 2025 7:57 PM |
Oh, that’s the underlying problem R476. Here I was thinking you’re an ageist, racist, thin-skinned, petulant troll.
What was I thinking?

Another thread ruined. I wish we could just post here without constant attacks from the thread creator. I don't know why you constantly call us Klan Grannies and other insults when you refuse to express exactly what has you so pissed of all the time. If you have an issue, try to debate the issue or tell us why it bothers you. Your generalizations toward us are racist, yet you can't seem to comprehend that basic fact. And for those who don't realize, the OP of this thread has already admitted to living alone and being on social security, so I don't know why he thinks we're a bunch of old racist shut-ins. Projecting again?

R478, I was thinking so much projection
And R478, you have every right to move on.
Thanks for playing, toots.

Whoopi is in overdrive today with her kindergarten-level life coach persona. Go speak at schools and leave the deep thinking to those with functioning gray matter.
Oh, Sunny. The Sanders kid is a complete douche nozzle. Stop making excuses for bad behavior just because he's black. As the old saying goes there's no "I" in team.
Ana said stuff but she wasn't building to her normal crescendo, so my Evita-trained brain drifted off elsewhere.
Alyssa is now into watching sports because they're more scandalous than the real Housewives. If you say so. Analogies galore rule the day.
Sara understands sportsmanship. Please explain it to Sunny in non-racial terms, of course.
Christie turned out to be a fun guest. It's nice to see people who are cheerful and positive these days.

Ana said that her dog ChaCha loved Governor Pritzker upon meeting him, so if ChaCha loves him, so does she.
As an animal lover, I agree. Animals know good people.

I'll tell you I'm shocked - shocked, I'll tell you! - that Sunny found nothing wrong with how the Saunders kid behaved. She defended 'nepo babies' and made it clear that she didn't like that narrative, and it's unfair to the kids. After all, they belong 'in all spaces'.
When will she apologize to Ivanka, Donny Jr and Eric for all the times she has said they have gotten far in life because of who their father is ? Will she apologize to them calling them arrogant in the past ? As much as I'm not a Trump fan in the least, what's fair is fair. She should apologize to the Trump kids. By her theory, why should they dim their lights ?
Congratulations to Ana for throwing another sharp knife at the ghost of Meghan McCain. "Whenever someone starts off a sentence with 'Do you know who my father is?' It tells the world you are a nepo baby." McCain must've shit her pants when she heard Ana say that. Expect an Insta war.
I hope Sara paid attention to Whoopi - STOP telling every guest 'I'm hearing Oscar buzz for your movie...'

Of course Sunny would be annoyed over "Nepo Baby". This story hits a little too close to home for her.

Who said “I love him” when Alyssa brought up Pete Buttigieg? It sounded like Sunny but I find that hard to believe from Miss “you can’t win without the black vote.”

I think it was Whoopi R486.
by Anonymous | reply 487 | April 29, 2025 2:57 AM |
R486 R487 I think it was Sara - it sounded like her and she interjects when others are talking. Whoopi would never interject off-camera like that unless she had to 'correct' someone.

I believe yesterday (or a recent show) Sunny said her daughter is finishing her freshman year at Cornell, and her son will be graduating from Harvard.
So why haven't either of her children attended a HBCU ? Were they not good enough for her kids ?
by Anonymous | reply 489 | April 29, 2025 11:35 AM |
They went to Harvard and Cornell so they could hector them about their past ties to slavery and current ties to Israel.
by Anonymous | reply 490 | April 29, 2025 1:54 PM |
I love Sunny talking about the wisdom of the founding fathers and the Constitution. Doesn't she mean the slave owners who wrote what her bestie Elie Mystal calls "actual trash?"

Oh, Sunny. Good old reliable Sunny Hostin.
She found Bill Belicheck's 24 year old girlfriend 'inserting' herself into his interview as 'improper'. Of course she does. (The girlfriend didn't want him answering the question of how they met).
Now, if it was a black coach being interviewed under the same circumstances, and his 24 year old black girlfriend 'inserted' herself into his interview, I'm 100% positive Sunny would have absolutely no problems with it. She would never label it as 'improper'. Guaranteed.

R491, LOL, I thought it was odd she was defending white men, but as the saying goes: The enemy of my enemy is my friend. It served its purpose for her dig against Trump. Or maybe they make her nostalgic for her ancestors who were not just slave owners but slave traders. Oh, my.

Did you think it appropriate of Joy to ask Ed Helms about how the Trump admin would be viewed 50 years from now? He looked uncomfortable and then after a few awkward seconds changed the subject and brought it back to his book. I think viewers in this day and age expect every celebrity to offer their political opinions while promoting their latest venture. It never used to be like this on daytime talk shows or even late-night. If they're appearing on The View to sell a book why the hell should they be expected to discuss politics?
Lastly, many talks shows pre-interview the guests with lines drawn at what can and cannot be discussed. I believe The View producers do pre-interview so I'm wondering if Joy knew better yet crossed the line anyway.

[quote] If they're appearing on The View to sell a book why the hell should they be expected to discuss politics?
By now they should know what to expect on that show.

R495. Joy's question reminded me someone with a one-track mind who looks for like-minded individuals everywhere she goes. She feeds off it. Not everyone wants to discuss that asshole 24/7.
by Anonymous | reply 496 | April 30, 2025 12:04 AM |
But it's what one should expect from The View.
by Anonymous | reply 497 | April 30, 2025 2:47 AM |
R497, NOT IF IT WAS OFF LIMITS. JUDGING BY HIS NON-RESPONSE, IT WAS OFF LIMITS which means they knew not to ask the question. Besides everyone knows how structured their interviews are. They go around the table and ask pre-written questions. Joy strayed from the script and that's why they had that awkward moment.
by Anonymous | reply 498 | April 30, 2025 2:53 AM |
Joy does no research, so she must just always rely on Trump. She's a waste of time, as is Whoopi. Sunny is as one-track as Joy, only she is totally focused on race.
