She has the family money, diminished however it may be, but she has access to it. Her lifestyle is probably the same, maybe a little worse, than it would have been had Armie’s career not been destroyed and she was living entirely on his alimony.

Very odd situation. If everything leaked simply as a result of squabbling over the family trust, it probably was not worth it.

As recently as two years ago Armie was unable to pay a $67,000 American Express balance he defaulted on. He only pays $1500 a month in child support, you cannot even get a studio in shitty Echo Park for $1500. Despite this, the wife has opted to relocate to one of the most expensive neighborhoods in one of the most expensive cities in the world despite having no reason to live in Los Angeles as Armie has no career and her businesses are in Texas. And she’s sending her kids to private school. Logic would dictate that even if she managed to get a decent settlement out of whatever family money Hammer, she would go someplace less expensive like a Dallas suburb with good public schools, knowing that she could never rely on Armie to provide for her again. Yet she has chosen to live a very cash-intensive lifestyle in an expensive city. Ergo, she has access to a source of money which while she may have to parse, she is not terribly concerned about running out.

She stayed in Cayman way longer than was necessary, and apparently she moved around every year she was there. That would point to an inconsistent source of income. Suddenly she has an income, despite having no real job, and moves back to Los Angeles. That seems to me to point to a divorce settlement being finalized and her having access to money that Armie no longer has, as he is too poor to afford gas for a Denali (a 2017 Denali would cost. $114 to fill up with the average price of gas in Los Angeles).

She has ready access to money, he does not. He is the one from the rich family.

In the interest of accuracy, not that anyone really cares, Effie leaked screenshots of alleged texts, conveniently almost always omitting her side of the conversation. Much later, after Elizabeth made public comments supporting Armie, Effie responded by leaking screenshots of Elizabeth’s texts to her pushing her to file legal charges and giving her contact info to Gloria Allred. Sometime after that a “friend” of Elizabeth’s confessed she had contacted media saying various things while pretending to be Elizabeth, at Elizabeth’s request. Apparently she felt bad about doing so.
