by Anonymousreply 624March 11, 2024 2:13 AM

Killers of the Flower Moon SUCKED

by Anonymousreply 1March 11, 2024 12:20 AM

Well this song is a real bop.

by Anonymousreply 2March 11, 2024 12:21 AM

Sea Cow.

by Anonymousreply 3March 11, 2024 12:21 AM

Has Oppenheimer won anything yet? Looks like Poor Things is the one sweeping. Still think Lily gets it over Emma.

by Anonymousreply 4March 11, 2024 12:22 AM

Bad Bunny can piss off.

by Anonymousreply 5March 11, 2024 12:22 AM

R4 Nothing yet.

by Anonymousreply 6March 11, 2024 12:22 AM

Bad Bunny has a hot and adorable voice.

by Anonymousreply 7March 11, 2024 12:23 AM

Bad Bunny is an asshole I heard.

by Anonymousreply 8March 11, 2024 12:24 AM

They appear to be purposely stacking the categories so that Oppenheimer’s below the lines and above the line wins will be consecutive.

by Anonymousreply 9March 11, 2024 12:24 AM

Bad Bunny can barely speak English to announce an important award in someone’s career.

by Anonymousreply 10March 11, 2024 12:24 AM

Awww Sandra Huller is moved. You can tell she’s happy

by Anonymousreply 11March 11, 2024 12:24 AM

Were Bad Bunny's diamonds real? They were larger than Catherine O'Hara's.

by Anonymousreply 12March 11, 2024 12:24 AM

R9 it’s for time.

by Anonymousreply 13March 11, 2024 12:24 AM

Does bad bunny have a good duck? I assume nudes are available.

by Anonymousreply 14March 11, 2024 12:24 AM

Conejito malo!

by Anonymousreply 15March 11, 2024 12:25 AM

Man A24 is becoming a powerhouse.

by Anonymousreply 16March 11, 2024 12:25 AM

Sandra Hueller looks like a more sophisticated and sexier version of Goop.

by Anonymousreply 17March 11, 2024 12:25 AM

Lmao Emily won with that comment.

by Anonymousreply 18March 11, 2024 12:25 AM

Why don;t Emily Blunt's shoulder straps fit? They must be intended to look that way, but it looks awful.

by Anonymousreply 19March 11, 2024 12:26 AM

Remember when Vanessa Redgrave denounced “Zionist hoodlums?”

by Anonymousreply 20March 11, 2024 12:26 AM

Ugh I hate them both.

by Anonymousreply 21March 11, 2024 12:26 AM

Is Ryan Gosling wearing eye shadow and mascara?

by Anonymousreply 22March 11, 2024 12:26 AM

R19 that’s the look. It’s like an armor

by Anonymousreply 23March 11, 2024 12:27 AM

I HATE! Blunt’s dress. Those straps are making my eyeballs itch.

by Anonymousreply 24March 11, 2024 12:27 AM

I knew SOTS wasnt going to win against the 1567th-ish Holocaust film

YOU KNOW if that shot had happened in the US and not Uruguay it would be winning best pic.

by Anonymousreply 25March 11, 2024 12:27 AM

Looks like Emily blunt is about to be hoisted up in the air in some stunt

by Anonymousreply 26March 11, 2024 12:27 AM

Because it's FASHION. It's a hard corset.

They have good chemistry, Blunt and Goaling.

by Anonymousreply 27March 11, 2024 12:27 AM

Are stunts a new category?

by Anonymousreply 28March 11, 2024 12:27 AM

Yes! I commented in the first thread that gosling is wearing more make up then his girlfriend/mother/sister.

by Anonymousreply 29March 11, 2024 12:28 AM

Blunt and Gosling were great

by Anonymousreply 30March 11, 2024 12:28 AM

I can't stand her look this evening either R24.

by Anonymousreply 31March 11, 2024 12:28 AM

Ryan Goaling.

by Anonymousreply 32March 11, 2024 12:28 AM

Bad Bunny should’ve been the one to do the streaker sketch.

by Anonymousreply 33March 11, 2024 12:28 AM

I mostly love A24 films. They're not your typical Hollywood movies.

by Anonymousreply 34March 11, 2024 12:28 AM

Yayyy stunts are recognized! They have the worst jobs in the film industry- all the older guys are broken beyond belief.

by Anonymousreply 35March 11, 2024 12:28 AM

Are Warren Beatty and Annette Bening there tonight?

by Anonymousreply 36March 11, 2024 12:29 AM

Bad Bunny can’t even speak English. It wouldn’t have worked idiot

by Anonymousreply 37March 11, 2024 12:29 AM

Well, didn't get my SOTS wish but it is panning out that I am getting my #NooscarsforBarbie wish

by Anonymousreply 38March 11, 2024 12:29 AM

No shout out to Zoe Bell strapped to the hood of the Charger in Death Proof? One of the greatest stunts of the last 20 years.

by Anonymousreply 39March 11, 2024 12:29 AM

[quote] Yayyy

I'm so happy.

by Anonymousreply 40March 11, 2024 12:29 AM

Stunt people do incredible feats.

by Anonymousreply 41March 11, 2024 12:30 AM

Society of the Snow was good - more nuanced, a bit deeper than Alive, with native speakers. But, it wasn't that great.

by Anonymousreply 42March 11, 2024 12:30 AM

If only DL realized A24 doesn’t make its own films 95% of the times and buys films independently made.

by Anonymousreply 43March 11, 2024 12:30 AM

I don't understand why Eva Mendes didn't go to the Oscars. Surely she could have found a babysitter. Maybe she's ashamed she became a hausfrau.

by Anonymousreply 44March 11, 2024 12:30 AM

Feets or foots. They're both correct.

by Anonymousreply 45March 11, 2024 12:30 AM

[quote]I knew SOTS wasnt going to win against the 1567th-ish Holocaust film

That rugby team plane crash story has been done a couple of times before as well

by Anonymousreply 46March 11, 2024 12:30 AM

R44 they don’t allow anyone else with their kids without them there.

by Anonymousreply 47March 11, 2024 12:31 AM

R25 Technically it happened in Argentina (and Chile). But it happened TO uruguayans.

by Anonymousreply 48March 11, 2024 12:31 AM

I think chainmail is a better look if she wants to do armor.

Actually armor would like nice. Not dress armor wtf

by Anonymousreply 49March 11, 2024 12:31 AM

Zone was the better film. Society was amazing though and got 2 nominations. That’s the reward right there.

by Anonymousreply 50March 11, 2024 12:31 AM

Emily Blunt was so shiny I think I saw my reflection on her forehead

by Anonymousreply 51March 11, 2024 12:31 AM

Gosling and his fillers. He's starting to look like Kenny Rogers

by Anonymousreply 52March 11, 2024 12:32 AM

I agree r39. She was amazing!

by Anonymousreply 53March 11, 2024 12:32 AM

where's jack nicholson?

by Anonymousreply 54March 11, 2024 12:32 AM

Ugh. This asshole from EEAAO.

Talk about a DEI win.

by Anonymousreply 55March 11, 2024 12:34 AM

[quote]Society of the Snow was good - more nuanced, a bit deeper than Alive, with native speakers. But, it wasn't that great

I guess the Society of the Snow fanatic is from Spain and supporting his country

by Anonymousreply 56March 11, 2024 12:34 AM

I have no memory of Sam Rockwell winning an Oscar!

by Anonymousreply 57March 11, 2024 12:34 AM

Nice to shine the spotlight on previous winners.

by Anonymousreply 58March 11, 2024 12:34 AM

Cringe Ke Huy.

by Anonymousreply 59March 11, 2024 12:35 AM

Little Asian leperchaun.

by Anonymousreply 60March 11, 2024 12:35 AM

R46 Very badly. The first a Z mexican exploitation film from the 70s that no one has seen, and then the 90's Disney sanitized version. This is different and a hundred millions times better (which is why Alive from 1993 never got even a nod and this did)

by Anonymousreply 61March 11, 2024 12:35 AM

Fingers crossed for RDJ

by Anonymousreply 62March 11, 2024 12:35 AM

He has thug duck R14.

by Anonymousreply 63March 11, 2024 12:36 AM

The male presenters are much more direct and to the point, and much less emotional and dramatic.

It works for men to do this 5 presenter thing, but not for women.

Men just keep it moving along. Women don't.

by Anonymousreply 64March 11, 2024 12:36 AM

That poor woman behind DeNiro is having problems with her neck.

by Anonymousreply 65March 11, 2024 12:36 AM

R56 I think there's 2 of us, but I'm argentinean...the story is very close to my heart

by Anonymousreply 66March 11, 2024 12:36 AM

"...outmatched only by the magic of who you are as a person!"

JFC

by Anonymousreply 67March 11, 2024 12:36 AM

Good to see Waltz again.

by Anonymousreply 68March 11, 2024 12:37 AM

Sam Rockwell looks hot with that white trash beard.

by Anonymousreply 69March 11, 2024 12:37 AM

I was at the other thread.

by Anonymousreply 70March 11, 2024 12:37 AM

deniro looks pissy

by Anonymousreply 71March 11, 2024 12:37 AM

I missed what Robbins said

by Anonymousreply 72March 11, 2024 12:37 AM

Tim Robbins looks like a burn victim.

by Anonymousreply 73March 11, 2024 12:37 AM

DeNiro likes the Asian ladies now?

And why aren't the makeup people powdering everyone?

by Anonymousreply 74March 11, 2024 12:37 AM

Ali looks fucking great.

by Anonymousreply 75March 11, 2024 12:37 AM

Rockwell should have been wearing a beard years ago, he looks good and I fucking LOATHE Christopher fucking WALTZ.

by Anonymousreply 76March 11, 2024 12:37 AM

Fucker does look good.

by Anonymousreply 77March 11, 2024 12:38 AM

Mark Ruffalo really is underrated.

Ruffalo was great

by Anonymousreply 81March 11, 2024 12:38 AM

Chrishtophe Waltzsh

by Anonymousreply 82March 11, 2024 12:38 AM

Mark Ruffalo wouldn’t so bad with a different haircut.

by Anonymousreply 83March 11, 2024 12:38 AM

Jesus so much flller in Goaling's cheeks. Rockwell is a sexy daddy.

by Anonymousreply 84March 11, 2024 12:39 AM

I watched two hours of Oppenheimer last night. I could go no further. I hope it loses in every category.

I HOPE BRADLEY WINS!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 85March 11, 2024 12:39 AM

R57 Sam Rockwell won supporting for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

by Anonymousreply 86March 11, 2024 12:39 AM

[quote]I missed what Robbins said

He referred to DeNiro’s role as Oscar-winning rather than Oscar-worthy.

by Anonymousreply 87March 11, 2024 12:39 AM

Mark Ruffalo is a smug Bernie bro fucker.

by Anonymousreply 88March 11, 2024 12:39 AM

Druggies rejoice!

Their Patron Saint has won an Oscar!

by Anonymousreply 89March 11, 2024 12:39 AM

So glad for RDJ.

by Anonymousreply 90March 11, 2024 12:40 AM

RDJ does look good for an ex-druggie.

by Anonymousreply 91March 11, 2024 12:40 AM

How do you let yourself look that bad when you're a sure thing?

by Anonymousreply 92March 11, 2024 12:40 AM

Generally I LOVE RDJ but I thought he was just ok in Oppie....ironically, I HATE Matt Damon but I thought he stood out more.

by Anonymousreply 93March 11, 2024 12:41 AM

Barbra!!

by Anonymousreply 94March 11, 2024 12:41 AM

[quote] FINALLY!!! YAY!!!!

I'm so happy.

by Anonymousreply 95March 11, 2024 12:41 AM

RDJ should've won for Chaplin, but it was Pacino's year for a Lifetime Achievement Oscar

by Anonymousreply 96March 11, 2024 12:41 AM

Smug Smugerson, I know he is joking but a bit of Downey goes a long way

by Anonymousreply 97March 11, 2024 12:41 AM

R91 He probably got help with a spell from Stevie Nicks.

by Anonymousreply 98March 11, 2024 12:41 AM

Ryan Gosling is so sexy.

I want to rim his hole and then suck him to completion.

And SWALLOW.

by Anonymousreply 99March 11, 2024 12:41 AM

Was that Cavill???

by Anonymousreply 100March 11, 2024 12:41 AM

by Anonymousreply 103March 11, 2024 12:42 AM

[quote] Was that Cavill???

Yes.

by Anonymousreply 104March 11, 2024 12:42 AM

Why not have former winners more from the past present rather than those who have won recently?

by Anonymousreply 105March 11, 2024 12:42 AM

RDJ had it in the bag since day 1. I said he’s winning last summer and you all said no. I said Blunt would be nominated and you all said no. Look at tonight

by Anonymousreply 106March 11, 2024 12:42 AM

Someone said they couldn't get through Oppenheimer. I thought it moved very well. Granted, rewatching it could be a chore, but first time through when you don't know exactly how it's going to unfold, I didn't think it was too long.

by Anonymousreply 107March 11, 2024 12:42 AM

I used to pray RDJ would wander into my bedroom by mistake. I wouldn't call the police.

by Anonymousreply 108March 11, 2024 12:43 AM

Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare - Inglourious Basterds II?

by Anonymousreply 109March 11, 2024 12:43 AM

R105 ummmm….Rita Moreno, Mary Steenburger, Tim Robbins… all long ago

by Anonymousreply 110March 11, 2024 12:43 AM

Is RDJ a rescue dog?

by Anonymousreply 111March 11, 2024 12:43 AM

[quote] So glad for RDJ.

Yes, we can all sleep easier now that he has hundreds of millions and a gold trophy for just doing his job.

by Anonymousreply 112March 11, 2024 12:43 AM

Cavill looks great with facial hair- makes him look less doll-like.

by Anonymousreply 113March 11, 2024 12:43 AM

NEVER in my life have I seen a greys anatomy episode.

Very proud of that.

by Anonymousreply 114March 11, 2024 12:44 AM

[quote]Why not have former winners more from the past present rather than those who have won recently?

Because they're all dead.

by Anonymousreply 115March 11, 2024 12:44 AM

Is Messi still in his seat or has he been taken to the lobby yet to lay?

by Anonymousreply 116March 11, 2024 12:44 AM

OMG do you think they'll include Richard Chamberlain in the In Memoriam??????

by Anonymousreply 117March 11, 2024 12:45 AM

R85 = Bradley, posting from his seat at the Oscars

by Anonymousreply 118March 11, 2024 12:45 AM

[quote] Cavill looks great with facial hair- makes him look less doll-like.

I prefer him doll like.

by Anonymousreply 119March 11, 2024 12:45 AM

Back in 1994 or 95, a friend of mine got snagged for a DUI in a small city next to ours one night. They threw him in a cell to sober up. When he awakened the next day, Robert Downey Jr. was in the cell across the hall. True story. La Verne, CA.

by Anonymousreply 120March 11, 2024 12:45 AM

r117, I doubt it, they would have had to edit it today.

by Anonymousreply 121March 11, 2024 12:46 AM

[quote]NEVER in my life have I seen a greys anatomy episode

Yay Michael Keaton!

by Anonymousreply 134March 11, 2024 12:48 AM

The Godzilla crew came with props!

by Anonymousreply 135March 11, 2024 12:48 AM

Wow, thought for sure the Mission Impossible movie would take it.

by Anonymousreply 136March 11, 2024 12:49 AM

by Anonymousreply 137March 11, 2024 12:49 AM

by Anonymousreply 145March 11, 2024 12:50 AM

Godzilla was really entertaining

by Anonymousreply 149March 11, 2024 12:50 AM

Get the hook

by Anonymousreply 150March 11, 2024 12:50 AM

Insufferable cunt Greta Gerwig is getting waylaid by Poor Things and I am living for it.

by Anonymousreply 151March 11, 2024 12:50 AM

He can barely speak English. They should have brought along Mie and Kei from Pink Lady to speak for him more clearly.

by Anonymousreply 152March 11, 2024 12:50 AM

[quote] Yay Michael Keaton!

I'm so happy.

by Anonymousreply 153March 11, 2024 12:50 AM

It was another Richard Chamberlain. There was a false-flagging thread about it on DL earlier today.

by Anonymousreply 157March 11, 2024 12:51 AM

I'm glad Godzilla won.

by Anonymousreply 158March 11, 2024 12:51 AM

r133, my mother came to America when she was 13, has been here for 7+ decades, and still has a Chinese accent- her siblings, are younger, have heavier accents.

Anyway I'm glad Godzilla won, but i was hoping The Creator would win.

by Anonymousreply 159March 11, 2024 12:51 AM

[quote]Godzilla won Best Actor!

by Anonymousreply 162March 11, 2024 12:52 AM

by Anonymousreply 175March 11, 2024 12:53 AM

She wore a tablecloth to the Oscars?

by Anonymousreply 176March 11, 2024 12:53 AM

Why are the women wearing these ridiculous platform heels? they're just asking to fall.

by Anonymousreply 177March 11, 2024 12:54 AM

Walk-off guy is super hot.

by Anonymousreply 178March 11, 2024 12:54 AM

Who will present Best Film?

Streisand?

by Anonymousreply 179March 11, 2024 12:54 AM

[quote]I think she said something about Pearl Harbor.

DL doesn't disappoint. No matter what, the racists still think they're funny.

by Anonymousreply 180March 11, 2024 12:55 AM

Who's the cute guy with the beard who escorts winners & presenters off stage?

by Anonymousreply 181March 11, 2024 12:55 AM

Why isn’t that Godzilla movie streaming?

by Anonymousreply 182March 11, 2024 12:55 AM

Platforms are surprisingly easy to walk in.

by Anonymousreply 183March 11, 2024 12:55 AM

r151 = Jennifer Jason Leigh

by Anonymousreply 184March 11, 2024 12:55 AM

RDJ is someone who should not be dying his hair. He'd look good with white hair.

by Anonymousreply 185March 11, 2024 12:56 AM

Hearing these Best Song nominees makes me long for " Moon River."

by Anonymousreply 186March 11, 2024 12:56 AM

Jimmy Kimmel should be waterboarded for trying to rush to Greta Gerwig's defense and "call out" her snub for best director nomination. What a whiny bitch he is. Her film paled in comparison to those of her competitors, end of story. She doesn't deserve it. All of this sympathy being poured on her is loathsome, and the sick part is that she's so far up her own cunt that I'm sure she loves it.

by Anonymousreply 197March 11, 2024 12:57 AM

America's dress is really beautiful.

by Anonymousreply 198March 11, 2024 12:57 AM

I'm kind of high but that song didn't sound good.

by Anonymousreply 199March 11, 2024 12:57 AM

Like Taylor needs promoting.

by Anonymousreply 200March 11, 2024 12:57 AM

Fucking Taylor Swifty fucking concert film bullshit. Not even at gunpoint.

by Anonymousreply 201March 11, 2024 12:57 AM

I only know 2 maybe 3 Swift songs.

🤷🏻‍♀️😬

by Anonymousreply 202March 11, 2024 12:58 AM

Well, r186, Some on stage have been wider than a mile.

by Anonymousreply 203March 11, 2024 12:58 AM

RDJ’s smug prick demeanor is tiresome.

Kate McKinnon and America Ferrera are both overrated hacks.

by Anonymousreply 220March 11, 2024 1:02 AM

Bradley Cooper reportedly spent six years practicing how to conduct an orchestra, and musicians still say he got it wrong!

In his big conducting scene, it's the concertmaster who the orchestra is watching.

That little girl is so cute, and I love her dress.

by Anonymousreply 246March 11, 2024 1:06 AM

Not the biggest McKinnon fan, but impressive to see where she got. I saw at UCB in Chelsea in the solo show she did right after being on that terrible gay sketch show Logo did. It very much looked like that was it for her. It was hard to imagine anyone going from that show to SNL, just like goin from mad tv to snl wasn’t really done. Crazy that just over ten years later, she’s presenting at the Oscars in expensive jewelry.

by Anonymousreply 337March 11, 2024 1:20 AM

by Anonymousreply 375March 11, 2024 1:25 AM

R322 I saw Jennifer Lawrence in the audience.

by Anonymousreply 376March 11, 2024 1:25 AM

John Mulaney actually looks cute in that tux.

by Anonymousreply 377March 11, 2024 1:25 AM

Guillermo is kinda sexy too

by Anonymousreply 378March 11, 2024 1:25 AM

He's not funny

by Anonymousreply 379March 11, 2024 1:26 AM

Jodie and Sissy are there … they also could present best actress.

by Anonymousreply 380March 11, 2024 1:26 AM

Netflix has that, R371.

by Anonymousreply 381March 11, 2024 1:26 AM

“Rita Hayworth’s insolence”?

by Anonymousreply 382March 11, 2024 1:26 AM

It seems some posters are getting their feed about 4 minutes ahead of me. I’m watching live on ABC but people are mentioning John Mulaney 4 minutes before Jimmy even mentioned him on my TV.

by Anonymousreply 383March 11, 2024 1:26 AM

John Mullaney!!!! He looks great. Darker hair and a tan.

by Anonymousreply 384March 11, 2024 1:26 AM

is mulaney.... ok

by Anonymousreply 385March 11, 2024 1:26 AM

This guy’s voice is annoying.

by Anonymousreply 386March 11, 2024 1:26 AM

Yes, JLaw will probably present to Emma.

by Anonymousreply 387March 11, 2024 1:26 AM

John Mulaney is looking puffy.

I bet he's back on the booze.

by Anonymousreply 388March 11, 2024 1:26 AM

Just okay, r385.

by Anonymousreply 389March 11, 2024 1:27 AM

I liked the Field of Dreams bit.

by Anonymousreply 390March 11, 2024 1:27 AM

Thanks r371

by Anonymousreply 391March 11, 2024 1:27 AM

R383 maybe they’re at the actual ceremony.

by Anonymousreply 392March 11, 2024 1:27 AM

Oh god please turn him off. Where's the mute button?

by Anonymousreply 393March 11, 2024 1:27 AM

Wow they didn't even give Maestro Sound. Damn.

by Anonymousreply 394March 11, 2024 1:27 AM

SOTN should have also gotten a nod for this

by Anonymousreply 395March 11, 2024 1:28 AM

Mullaney should be the permanent Oscar host, he's far funnier than Kimmel.

by Anonymousreply 396March 11, 2024 1:28 AM

R394 only YOU thought it had a chance.

by Anonymousreply 397March 11, 2024 1:28 AM

Sorry SOTS

by Anonymousreply 398March 11, 2024 1:28 AM

Maestro doesn't deserve a damn thing.

by Anonymousreply 399March 11, 2024 1:28 AM

Like field of dreams too! Planning on actually finishing it one day and I guess he just ruined it. Thanks a lot you fuck

by Anonymousreply 400March 11, 2024 1:29 AM

"But Maestro is about fucking music; the sound MATTERS."

by Anonymousreply 401March 11, 2024 1:29 AM

« What Was I Made For? » is a concise version of Frankenstein’s montser’s internal monologue in the novel, set to music.

by Anonymousreply 402March 11, 2024 1:29 AM

DeNiro looks pissed.

by Anonymousreply 403March 11, 2024 1:29 AM

Yes, Mulaney is puffy and blotchy. And his field of dreams, sucked

by Anonymousreply 404March 11, 2024 1:29 AM

Hi5 R396

by Anonymousreply 405March 11, 2024 1:29 AM

DeNiro look thrilled to be there

by Anonymousreply 406March 11, 2024 1:29 AM

I was molested.

by Anonymousreply 407March 11, 2024 1:29 AM

This is actually a surprise. Sound was one of Oppenheimer’s strongest qualities.

by Anonymousreply 408March 11, 2024 1:29 AM

Is that Bradley Cooper dressed as Ryan Gosling?

by Anonymousreply 409March 11, 2024 1:30 AM

I want to see mama Cooper cry when Bradley wins

by Anonymousreply 410March 11, 2024 1:30 AM

Zendaya and Keanu Reeves have the same type of stardom.

Neither has a lick of acting talent, it doesn't matter, and they are (or were, in the case Reeves) GORGEOUS.

And, oh, do I love them both.

by Anonymousreply 411March 11, 2024 1:30 AM

Sorry but Maestro should have won that. Somebody has it out for Bradley.

by Anonymousreply 412March 11, 2024 1:30 AM

Go Ryan! "I'll see you on the Malibu Beach!"

by Anonymousreply 413March 11, 2024 1:30 AM

Stop the wimpy singing. Please.

by Anonymousreply 414March 11, 2024 1:30 AM

Fuck, we're not even at the Bring-Out-Yer-Dead portion yet.

by Anonymousreply 415March 11, 2024 1:30 AM

Who is the hot black guy Mulaney almost stepped on?

by Anonymousreply 416March 11, 2024 1:30 AM

I liked Blue Velvet.

by Anonymousreply 417March 11, 2024 1:31 AM

The sound in TZoI is what makes the whole thing so effective. Completely deserved.

by Anonymousreply 418March 11, 2024 1:31 AM

Finally some hot men!

Ryan

by Anonymousreply 419March 11, 2024 1:31 AM

Ryan needs a wardrobe malfunction

by Anonymousreply 420March 11, 2024 1:31 AM

Ryan Gosling sucks at singing.

by Anonymousreply 421March 11, 2024 1:31 AM

Thrilled that Zone won for Sound. Beyond deserved.

by Anonymousreply 422March 11, 2024 1:31 AM

Classic Barbie!

😍

by Anonymousreply 423March 11, 2024 1:31 AM

R412 it was the weakest one in the category.

by Anonymousreply 424March 11, 2024 1:31 AM

OMG, loved the chest-hair flash from Mark Ronson. He's so dreamy.

by Anonymousreply 425March 11, 2024 1:31 AM

Haha I love Ryan Gosling!

I hope he wins for this stupid song!!!

by Anonymousreply 426March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

[quote]I want to see mama Cooper cry when Bradley wins

A crying dwarf, that would be a spectacle

by Anonymousreply 427March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

I love this song and this performance. Lmao, I want to feel the Kenergy holy shit.... Slash!

by Anonymousreply 428March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

should have called that movie Ken

by Anonymousreply 429March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

Haha I love Ryan Gosling!

I hope he wins for this stupid song!!!

by Anonymousreply 430March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

I wonder how much Slash got paid for this.

by Anonymousreply 431March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

That outfit isn't doing Gosling's womanly hips any favors.

by Anonymousreply 432March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

Ryan had Mark Ronson and Slash

by Anonymousreply 433March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

I love all the diversity tonight.

by Anonymousreply 434March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

oh my ... ry ry....

by Anonymousreply 435March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

De Niro looks like his proctalgia is ailing him.

by Anonymousreply 436March 11, 2024 1:32 AM

[quote]One of the songs nominated for best song is from a movie about Cheetos, produced by Eva Longoria. Just let that soak in for a minute…..

And they're trying to pass it off as a "true story" even though there's no documentation for that guy's claim, but it's "his truth." 🙄

by Anonymousreply 437March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

Yikes.

by Anonymousreply 438March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

Kimmel is cute, and he has a big one.

by Anonymousreply 439March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

How in the hell did they get Slash from Guns and Roses to play this song???

Also, Wolfie from Van Halen??

by Anonymousreply 440March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

SLASH!!

by Anonymousreply 441March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

I haven’t seen Barbie.

by Anonymousreply 442March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

That was fun!

by Anonymousreply 443March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

Slash really?

by Anonymousreply 444March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

Greta Gerwig is a hefty gal.

by Anonymousreply 445March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

KEN wins the Oscar. The biggest produced song wins.

by Anonymousreply 446March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

I'd rather go to the Ken song dancer orgy than the Vanity Fair party post-Oscars.

by Anonymousreply 447March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

Why the fuck is everyone standing for the Ken song?

by Anonymousreply 448March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

Ryan Gosling and a cast of thousands.

by Anonymousreply 449March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

Finally something totally awesome!

by Anonymousreply 450March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

Finally, some entertainment.

by Anonymousreply 451March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

How in the hell did they get Slash from Guns and Roses to play this song???

Also, Wolfie from Van Halen??

by Anonymousreply 452March 11, 2024 1:33 AM

Yeah this one's taking it

by Anonymousreply 453March 11, 2024 1:34 AM

How in the hell did they get Slash from Guns and Roses to play this song???

Also, Wolfie from Van Halen??

by Anonymousreply 454March 11, 2024 1:34 AM

I hated Barbie and the fact I paid to see it in the theater. I thought it would be campy and funny.

by Anonymousreply 455March 11, 2024 1:34 AM

Ryan Goaling.

by Anonymousreply 456March 11, 2024 1:34 AM

Was that Wolfgang?

I thought so for a hot minute but didn’t see him close enough.

by Anonymousreply 457March 11, 2024 1:34 AM

Very nice. Did not think I'd care one way or the other when they finally got to it, but it was wonderful. Nice job.

by Anonymousreply 458March 11, 2024 1:34 AM

And Valerie Bertinelli’s kid

by Anonymousreply 459March 11, 2024 1:34 AM

You know Hollywood is in the toilet when that is the best thing

by Anonymousreply 460March 11, 2024 1:34 AM

Gotta admit, the Ken number was fun.

by Anonymousreply 461March 11, 2024 1:34 AM

It's called "energy" and "fun," you bore r448.

by Anonymousreply 462March 11, 2024 1:35 AM

The Kenergy part had shades of "Menergy" by Patrick Cowley, early electronic artist.

by Anonymousreply 463March 11, 2024 1:35 AM

Love Ken!!

by Anonymousreply 464March 11, 2024 1:35 AM

[quote]Ryan needs a wardrobe malfunction

So did John Cena

by Anonymousreply 465March 11, 2024 1:35 AM

Della at R298 and R411!

by Anonymousreply 466March 11, 2024 1:35 AM

I thought that was amazing. Big swing for Gosling and he nailed it.

by Anonymousreply 467March 11, 2024 1:35 AM

R452 He had nothing else going on.

by Anonymousreply 468March 11, 2024 1:35 AM

Ryan sings better than Billie

by Anonymousreply 469March 11, 2024 1:35 AM

[quote]How in the hell did they get Slash from Guns and Roses to play this song??? Also, Wolfie from Van Halen??

What else did they have to do today?

by Anonymousreply 470March 11, 2024 1:35 AM

Why do you keep typing "Gosling" wrong, dear r456? It will never become a thing.

by Anonymousreply 471March 11, 2024 1:35 AM

Did Barbie ever sing anything?

Sooo empowering. So inspiring to women. Let's have Ken singing and bitch and moan because that's women's lib

by Anonymousreply 472March 11, 2024 1:36 AM

"How in the hell did they get Slash from Guns and Roses to play this song???"

He does pretty mainstream corporate commercials now. He knows how to pad a bank account with little effort. I'm not surprised.

by Anonymousreply 473March 11, 2024 1:36 AM

[quote]Why the fuck is everyone standing for the Ken song?

For the same reason the king stood for the " Hallelujah Chorus." To adjust the underwear.

by Anonymousreply 474March 11, 2024 1:36 AM

I sing better than Billie and I don’t sing

by Anonymousreply 475March 11, 2024 1:36 AM

I'm glad those god-damned singing/dancing kids were on for a mercifully short time and got the fuck off the stage.

by Anonymousreply 476March 11, 2024 1:36 AM

This is Gosling’s night.

by Anonymousreply 477March 11, 2024 1:36 AM

Ryan, you hot man - I'm available!

by Anonymousreply 478March 11, 2024 1:36 AM

Smoooches, r466.

by Anonymousreply 479March 11, 2024 1:36 AM

The Ken number should have been better than it was.

It was mostly just chaotic—a thousand bodies and no point of view, no statement.

Gosling sang well but seemed to be holding back and going for irony/eye-rolling. A very Gen X move, although he's technically millennial (born in 1980).

by Anonymousreply 480March 11, 2024 1:36 AM

[quote] I want to see mama Cooper cry when Bradley wins

She didn't stand when Oppenheimer won for editing.

by Anonymousreply 481March 11, 2024 1:37 AM

We'll accept him.

by Anonymousreply 485March 11, 2024 1:38 AM

What an ugly cunt

by Anonymousreply 486March 11, 2024 1:38 AM

Major hot sausage fest with Gosling and his fellow Kens. I’d rim and suck them ALL.

by Anonymousreply 487March 11, 2024 1:38 AM

I think Jimmy Kimmel already called Dibs r478. Sorry.

by Anonymousreply 488March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

That nose ring is hideous.

by Anonymousreply 489March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

What the fuck are those blue/green and pink things on stage?

by Anonymousreply 490March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

1980 is Gen X babe.

by Anonymousreply 491March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

Cue ball.

by Anonymousreply 492March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

What is that pink monstrosity?

by Anonymousreply 493March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

R481 I’ve been standing all evening.

by Anonymousreply 494March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

Read, Ariana, read.

by Anonymousreply 495March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

by Anonymousreply 497March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

Ariana looks like an albino

by Anonymousreply 498March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

No man needed eye work more than Jimmy Kimmel.

He seems to be falling asleep. And it's only 6:30 in LA!

by Anonymousreply 499March 11, 2024 1:39 AM

Oppenheimer!

by Anonymousreply 500March 11, 2024 1:40 AM

I was surprised to hear Jimmy Kimmel say (on CBS Sunday Morning today) he was only paid $15,000 for this hosting gig,

by Anonymousreply 501March 11, 2024 1:40 AM

Oof that nose ring....hope she think she looks pretty because she definitely doesnt

by Anonymousreply 502March 11, 2024 1:40 AM

R501 they don’t get paid much

by Anonymousreply 503March 11, 2024 1:40 AM

Ariana needs to eat a burger.

by Anonymousreply 504March 11, 2024 1:40 AM

Is this thread dead?

by Anonymousreply 505March 11, 2024 1:40 AM

Another one that should have gone to SOTS

by Anonymousreply 506March 11, 2024 1:40 AM

Janet should have sung the Billie Eilish song.

by Anonymousreply 507March 11, 2024 1:41 AM

by Anonymousreply 520March 11, 2024 1:42 AM

R507 Janet's really busy driving Limos tonight.

by Anonymousreply 521March 11, 2024 1:42 AM

Ariana starting to cry because Billie won?

by Anonymousreply 522March 11, 2024 1:42 AM

I want to hold Ludwig's luscious locks while I'm pounding his ass.

by Anonymousreply 523March 11, 2024 1:42 AM

Two time Oscar winner Billie Eilish

by Anonymousreply 524March 11, 2024 1:43 AM

R507 why would she sing the song Billie and Finneas wrote? They wrote it.

by Anonymousreply 533March 11, 2024 1:44 AM

by Anonymousreply 534March 11, 2024 1:44 AM

R527 the award doesn’t go to who performed better tonight dumb fuck.

by Anonymousreply 535March 11, 2024 1:44 AM

Billie Eilish did not need TWO Oscars before age 25.

by Anonymousreply 536March 11, 2024 1:44 AM

Can you imagine how angry Glenn Close is watching the talentless Billie Eilish win 2 Oscars?

[quote]Elphaba and Glinda- they're shilling already for Wicked.

I swear on SNL last night, Ariana and Bowen's (he's also in Wicked) musical sketch was lit in a pale green light. It was ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 540March 11, 2024 1:45 AM

I think it's more surprising that Billie and Finneas has won 2 Oscars than Kate McKinnon presenting.

by Anonymousreply 541March 11, 2024 1:45 AM

I enjoyed Barbie but it fell apart in the third act.

by Anonymousreply 542March 11, 2024 1:45 AM

R536 then tell her to stop doing well. It’s not about age.

by Anonymousreply 543March 11, 2024 1:45 AM

Billie's brother needs to get on Propecia.

Those locks are looking spare.

by Anonymousreply 544March 11, 2024 1:45 AM

Ariana Grande didn't even read the nominees. Stupid little bitch.

by Anonymousreply 545March 11, 2024 1:45 AM

He’s not hot

by Anonymousreply 547March 11, 2024 1:45 AM

by Anonymousreply 548March 11, 2024 1:45 AM

R537 she won two MUSIC Oscars. Not an acting one.

by Anonymousreply 549March 11, 2024 1:46 AM

Okay that was cute with Billie side skipping past the Asian lady speaking.

by Anonymousreply 554March 11, 2024 1:46 AM

R549 having an Oscar on the shelf is having an Oscar on the shelf.

by Anonymousreply 555March 11, 2024 1:46 AM

Maybe nobody died that they care about, r551.

by Anonymousreply 556March 11, 2024 1:46 AM

"Of course the Barbie song takes it when CLEARLY the crowd loved the Ken song so much more."

Winners aren't based on crowd reactions, but pre-show voting.

by Anonymousreply 557March 11, 2024 1:46 AM

I’m just glad the First Nation folx didn’t win with their weird flower drum song

by Anonymousreply 558March 11, 2024 1:47 AM

R543 oh that is just sad.

by Anonymousreply 559March 11, 2024 1:47 AM

It's usually right before Best Director.

by Anonymousreply 560March 11, 2024 1:47 AM

r540- did you catch them singing the famous gargling note that is featured in the Wicked commercials for the stage shows?

R554 no. It was just an upbeat song. That’s all it meant. One was an upbeat dance track. The other a ballad.

R565 no. What was said is ZENDAYA isn’t there for that. And she wasn’t. Stupid motherfucker.

by Anonymousreply 571March 11, 2024 1:49 AM

Bring on the dead!

by Anonymousreply 572March 11, 2024 1:49 AM

Really, R563. It was a stupid observation deserving of the response.

They should have used a clip from Carrie for Piper Lauire.

by Anonymousreply 575March 11, 2024 1:50 AM

Oh wow. This is absolutely GORGEOUS

by Anonymousreply 576March 11, 2024 1:50 AM

CHILLS

by Anonymousreply 577March 11, 2024 1:51 AM

This In Memoriam is horrible.

We hardly get to the the faces of the dead.

by Anonymousreply 578March 11, 2024 1:51 AM

How the fuck does that Billie Eyetrash creature have two Oscars???

by Anonymousreply 579March 11, 2024 1:51 AM

The in memoriam clips are too short.

by Anonymousreply 580March 11, 2024 1:51 AM

Could they not afford 9/11 profiteer Josh Groban for this in memoriam performance?

by Anonymousreply 581March 11, 2024 1:51 AM

Time to....say goodbye

Bocelli and Son.

by Anonymousreply 583March 11, 2024 1:51 AM

R570 you spoke too son…the presenter not promoter troll arrived at R571.

by Anonymousreply 584March 11, 2024 1:51 AM

Oh shit, this dancing is reminiscent of various '80s-era Debbie Allen disasters.

Just let the deceased hold the space and have their moment.

by Anonymousreply 585March 11, 2024 1:52 AM

Boccelli’s son is hot as fuck.

by Anonymousreply 586March 11, 2024 1:52 AM

I wish the did but play music and show closeups of the dead. No stars singing, no dancers. It’s distracting

by Anonymousreply 587March 11, 2024 1:52 AM

R581 Bocelli would probably cost more

by Anonymousreply 588March 11, 2024 1:52 AM

I can’t read the fucking names on that small little window.

Fuck these dancers

by Anonymousreply 591March 11, 2024 1:53 AM

Tina Turner at the end. Surprised.

by Anonymousreply 592March 11, 2024 1:53 AM

Finally a beautiful In Memoriam, but I agree about the dancers - unnecessary. But much better than a rapper doing it.

by Anonymousreply 593March 11, 2024 1:53 AM

[quote] Just let the deceased hold the space and have their moment.

Exactly!

by Anonymousreply 594March 11, 2024 1:53 AM

That was the worst in memoriam I've ever seen.

by Anonymousreply 595March 11, 2024 1:53 AM

That was the “Modern Choreography” number from White Christmas except in Italian

by Anonymousreply 596March 11, 2024 1:53 AM

I just realized SOTS meant Society of the Snow and not Song of the South.

by Anonymousreply 597March 11, 2024 1:53 AM

[quote] Stupid motherfucker

You only come here to call people names

by Anonymousreply 598March 11, 2024 1:53 AM

That was some Debbie Allen realness!

by Anonymousreply 599March 11, 2024 1:54 AM

Man, I keep forgetting Paul Reubens has died.

by Anonymousreply 600March 11, 2024 1:54 AM

WTF were those dancers?

by Anonymousreply 601March 11, 2024 1:54 AM

It woukd be cool if all the previous dead Academy people could introduce all the people who died this year.

by Anonymousreply 602March 11, 2024 1:54 AM

[quote] Tina Turner at the end. Surprised.

At the Oscars?!

by Anonymousreply 603March 11, 2024 1:54 AM

Everyone on Twitter's coming in their pants saying the Ken bit was the GREATEST MOMENT IN OSCAR HISTORY.

by Anonymousreply 604March 11, 2024 1:54 AM

Wasn't expecting them to slip in a nod to Navalny.

by Anonymousreply 608March 11, 2024 1:55 AM

R603, Yes. Tina was in movies.

by Anonymousreply 609March 11, 2024 1:55 AM

Anybody gonna tell Ariana fucking Grande Latte that she put on her down comforter for the show?

by Anonymousreply 610March 11, 2024 1:56 AM

R592 should have been Friedkin, he was easily the most important person of the ibdustry to die but black woman had to take it

by Anonymousreply 611March 11, 2024 1:56 AM

[quote]Boccelli’s son is hot as fuck

You sound like a broken record

by Anonymousreply 612March 11, 2024 1:56 AM

Wow!

by Anonymousreply 613March 11, 2024 1:56 AM

[quote] Yes. Tina was in movies.

I wasn't surprised she was in the In Memorian. I was surprised she was last.

by Anonymousreply 614March 11, 2024 1:57 AM

Brendan Fraser and Nic Cage look good.

by Anonymousreply 615March 11, 2024 1:59 AM

This show is the direct antithesis to the 2022 slap-fest. Just goes to show that good things can happen when you hire professionals to produce the show.

by Anonymousreply 616March 11, 2024 1:59 AM

Ben Kingsley is even more smug than Jamie Lee Curtis.

by Anonymousreply 617March 11, 2024 1:59 AM

Cillian is gorgeous.

by Anonymousreply 618March 11, 2024 2:00 AM

I don't see the appeal in Cillian - he's odd looking.

by Anonymousreply 619March 11, 2024 2:01 AM

No RAMI MALEK?...........I told you bitches he was a wasted Oscar.

by Anonymousreply 620March 11, 2024 2:02 AM

R532 actually, Madonna is hosting her exclusive Oscar party tonight. Then she'll be back onstage tomorrow night for her fifth show in LA

by Anonymousreply 621March 11, 2024 2:05 AM

Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt have the same face.

by Anonymousreply 622March 11, 2024 2:08 AM

Cillain's face is made of clay.

by Anonymousreply 623March 11, 2024 2:11 AM

They should have had Hilary Swank introducing Annette.
