She could definitely be a soldier, but I'm leaning towards no for 2 reasons right now. First, I suspect her name might've been dropped with the other guys if she was a soldier and second, she's so freaking tiny that I have a hard time imagining it.

Rachel got some hate for her People's Choice Award nomination/win for Action Star because her Hunger Games character wasn't particularly an action girl, though that was part of her charm. But maybe she'd enjoy taking on an action role in a new movie.

I can annoyingly see them maybe splitting the whole of s4 by the nick and charlie fight, like ending an episode on charlie saying tearfully to tori that he thinks they broke up, and then the last 2-3 episodes a week later. hopefully not.

R411 Long YR rant: YR S3 is really really good and that's from someone who couldn't get through season 2. This season's plot line is well crafted and the acting is phenomenal (Edvin should win awards). They did a great job of depicting how online harassment/bullying can affect someone. Alice tried to do that with HS but her story was relevant 10 years ago. She did a poor job adapting her story to the current times. The plot doesn't make much sense in a 2024 lens. She did an awful job at showcasing what real homophobia and bullying look like. That's why not a lot of viewers empathized with Charlie or understood why it was so difficult for N+C to come out and be themselves at school. Imo the story is stronger and better in YR. Heartstopper's main thing (that makes me more drawn to it than other lgbt+ shows) is Nick and Charlie's relationship and Kit and Joe's chemistry. I hope Alice made sure S3 focuses on them rather than other pointless storylines.

It's not that darker or grittier content shouldn't exist, and Joe himself clearly enjoys that S3 has more mature storylines for them to sink into as actors. But Heartstopper still has a mostly positive filter where gritty realism is thrown out the window, which can sometimes be a downside writing-wise. Overall, though, most audiences see it as lovely comfort food that picks them up when they're down or gives them some retroactive healing from real life trauma. I don't think YR has ever quite gone for that angle, correct me if I'm wrong. It's totally down to personal tastes.

We used to have separate threads for each cast member, but the same conversation just happened on every thread. And solo named threads for Kit were often taken down. So we combined them to just the HS thread. The fact Bash still has an old thread that never reached 600, and fraulein always posts here not in the Bash thread proves she hates Joe more than she loves Bash. Or she’s accepted there aren’t any other Bash fans who would talk to her if she tried to revitalize the Bash thread.
