What's the best dance song right now?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | February 27, 2024 11:10 AM |
Are you refreshed?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 27, 2024 11:17 AM |
Give me just a few more minutes.

I have a job interview on Friday and I’m sitting here fretting over whether if just one of the 20 blazers/jackets in my closet is gonna fit me….Ive worked from home for four years and still haven’t lost all of the ‘COVID 30’
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 27, 2024 11:46 AM |
What is a kiki?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 27, 2024 1:17 PM |
I'm buying my husband new shoes.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | February 27, 2024 1:30 PM |
I have to go kiki
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 27, 2024 1:37 PM |
Why are you getting stuck with that chore R9? Anyway, why not pick up something nice for yourself while you’re out. You deserve it!
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 27, 2024 1:51 PM |
I have a friend who was a stylist for celebrities. He said Nick Lachey was the most gorgeous man he ever saw, Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian were beautiful in person, and very nice to everyone, and Dustin Hoffman was very short and not very friendly.
Also, Meryl Streep was an unfriendly bitch and not much to look at, but Martha Stewart was beautiful, but also a total bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 27, 2024 2:15 PM |
R12 Your friend is full of crap and carbohydrates. Paris Hilton and Kim K being "very nice to everyone?" There's ample video evidence of them not even being nice to their own families or personal staff, much less a random "stylist" fluffing their wig prior to the Cable ACE Awards.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 27, 2024 2:17 PM |
I forgot what a great body Jake Shears had.

My recent celebrity sightings include Jessica Lange on lower 5th ave looking stunning in the sunlight, a true star.
Also saw Luis Miranda slurping soup while his wife tried to block him from view. Raman eating is decidedly not sexy, what with those awkward spoons and everything.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | February 27, 2024 2:45 PM |
Oh, also, I was in Starbuck's on 95th street and a barista said that Alec Baldwin was in the Starbucks on 94th street, so I missed him by one Starbucks. One can imagine the Hilaria when he orders an extra shot.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 27, 2024 2:52 PM |
I saw a Tesla Cybertruck this morning.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 27, 2024 3:25 PM |
Was it rusty?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 27, 2024 3:39 PM |
My husbear worked the People's Choice Awards and said that despite recent pics not being great prior, Megan Fox cleaned up great and looked fantastic there. Said Sydney Sweeney looked fantastic.
T Hidds, Adam Sandler and wife, not so much.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 27, 2024 3:57 PM |
I was home this morning and caught a part of that Kelly and Mark show and they both looked so overly tweezered and processed. He almost looks like an unrealistic wax figure of himself. The tans and coiffed hair, shirts and blouses so tailored they look like they’re on a magazine about. It must be miserable to live that way but I guess the money makes up for it.
Anyway, I have no idea what to make for dinner tonight and after the gym, I doubt I’ll have enough energy to eat a bowl of cereal
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 27, 2024 4:12 PM |
Ooooh la la la la la
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 27, 2024 4:49 PM |
R21, one excuse used on Gofugyourself is that the strike threw so many events close together.
Stars, stylists, and designers are working overtime to get their brand out there.

Do any of you homosexuals have a fag?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 27, 2024 5:33 PM |
R26, working class homosexuals vape. Poor homosexuals roll their own and don’t share. Rich homosexuals deny they smoke pretend they don’t understand what you’re asking.
You’re fucked.

Let's listen to Kiki Dee and Elton John singing "Don't Go Breaking My Heart."
by Anonymous | reply 29 | February 27, 2024 7:36 PM |
I thought that’s what the underwhelmed thread is for.

My favorite Spanish actor, Eduardo Noriega, got into a motorcycle accident last week in Spain. He was on his bike and someone hit him from behind, causing him to fly over his handle bars. Luckily no broken bones, just a few contusions and stitches.
Be careful Eduardo!

I've been retired for a year and I am so bored! I don't want to go back to work but all my old hobbies don't interest me anymore and I can't seem to find anything that I would be passionate about, or at the very least interesting enough to hold my attention. Does anyone else have this problem?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 28, 2024 5:08 AM |
Become a bird watcher.

God damn Vincent Perez was hot in Indochine. He still looks good at 59.

R33. That’s why I still work
by Anonymous | reply 36 | February 28, 2024 9:21 AM |
It was refreshing, thank you R3! Tonight, I'm having fruit cake.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | February 28, 2024 9:23 AM |
Someone explain please the difference between this thread and the Underwhelmed threads?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 28, 2024 10:35 AM |
This one has fruit cake.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | February 28, 2024 11:35 AM |
R30, R38…as an astute observer, from what I gather, this thread is to converse, play music, hang out. The underwhelmed threads, however, have just, somewhat begrudgingly, allowed conversation among posters, although it’s usually only to let a poster know that their post was a bit “whelmimg”. And I’m quite sure music is not allowed.
I love the underwhelmed threads. I think I’ll like this kik too. But only when I’m not too whelmed.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | February 28, 2024 12:09 PM |
You’re invited to respond in this thread whereas responses in underwhelm threads cause The Whelming.
R33, it’s an election year. You meet and slobber over other volunteers while encouraging others to vote.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | February 28, 2024 12:14 PM |
r38 how about this - it doesn't matter what the difference is. you don't get extra credit for being a hall monitor.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | February 28, 2024 12:20 PM |
King Charles wears a pinky ring.
Is that common in the UK?
My Italian uncles from the old country are the only older men I ever noticed wearing pinky rings.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | February 28, 2024 2:06 PM |
What is going on with the Royals? They all seem to be getting sick or dying. They're falling apart at the seams.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | February 28, 2024 3:03 PM |
R44, it's a voodoo curse put on them by Harold.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | February 28, 2024 3:12 PM |
R42, wasn't trying to be a hall monitor, just trying to get the lay of the land.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | February 28, 2024 3:37 PM |
Charles's pinky ring is his signet ring. He actually uses it.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | February 28, 2024 3:45 PM |
Jack Cassidy and his sons all wore/wear pinky rings, R43, gifted by Jack.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | February 28, 2024 3:54 PM |
Thanks, r47. I did not know.
I doubt my uncles' rings were signets. They were mafioso types and I don't think they "sign" their orders, more of a verbal type industry they were in...

"Kiki" is Filipino slang for "vagina."

I just took a quiz on beliefnet.com and my beliefs most closely align with Secular Humanism.
I had taken this quiz years ago and my results were some kind of specific Quaker as my number one match (probably the silent kind because I recall thinking about Six Feet Under and Nate going to the Quaker meetings) and Unitarian was my second match and I don't recall what was third.
The results listed all the many religions and what percentage of my answers matched the religion. I had very little in common (10% or less) with any of the religions. I did end up going to a Unitarian Church as a result of this quiz and made a good friend.
They have since changed things on that site and you only get your number one match. If you want the rest of your matches and the percentages, you have to sign up for their newsletter and other junk which I am not willing to do at this juncture.

I am still horrified by the way Bridget Fonda has let herself go. She was so beautiful and skinny. I know she enjoys being a civilian, but does she have to be a 500 lb. civilian??

[quote] Someone explain please the difference between this thread and the Underwhelmed threads?
Some people on the Underwhelmed threads object to ongoing chats. Someone suggested a chat thread. This is an experiment.
However, if this thread turns out to be indistinguishable from the Underwhelmed threads, I would call it a failure.

If you come across Motor City Detroit Style Frozen Pizza in your supermarket or Target, I highly recommend.
It comes in a pan and they sprinkle cheese on the bottom of the pan under the pizza so the cheese bakes into the crust. Very good.

Lock the doors.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | February 29, 2024 2:40 PM |
Side benefits since I quit smoking:
I can wear wool without it reeking of ashtray.
I can borrow and lend physical books without fear of torturing others - I chain smoked while reading.
I never taste cigarettes in my cooking. It’s happened twice when I took a smoke break during prep only to taste it in the salad.

A few weeks ago there was a story about a missing guy whose husband was pleading for his return. Husband left barefoot with no coat after they had a fight. Was that guy ever found? It was insome midwestern state. I don't recall enough details to properly search here for the article.

Pinky rings were a thing among gay men of a certain age but that age has passed.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | February 29, 2024 8:14 PM |
I recall that too r63. I don’t know if it was resolved or not.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | February 29, 2024 11:09 PM |

When I meet someone new, business, pleasure, neighbor, etc., their smile can immediately turn me off more than anything else.
People with perpetual, shit eating grins especially make my skin crawl.

Sometimes I forget what day of the week it is.
One of the few downsides of working from home.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | March 1, 2024 3:09 PM |
I fail to see that as a downside.

Saw some pics of Hugh Sheridan at last night's Mardi Gras in Sydney. He looked chunky. Could have been bad angles. Good on him for being out, but I feel like since his acting roles have dried up, he is making being bi his whole schtick. People who make their sexuality and/ or their gender their whole personality annoy me.

There's this guy on youtube who I liked a couple of years ago. Italian, good authentic recipes. Then he started including his kids and wife so I Iost interest and unsubscribed. Not interested in his kid's opinion of what the best jarred tomato sauce is, actually I am not interested in his kid's opinion on anything.
In conclusion, when a youtuber starts including their spouse and kids or the spouse is off screen but talking, I am done.

R11 it turns out I didn't! But I did get him some new grey pants and vitamins. We have a rule that each check, we each do something for the other. I did get myself a few nice things! You were absolutely right about that. He's getting his shoes this next check. But I love buying him things. I wish I could buy him a new car! Maybe next year.

I saw my gorgeous Lebanese oral surgeon this morning. He confirmed my fine dental health with no particular action required. I had some actions on my mouth to suggest to him but kept quiet.
