Not that it should be a requirement AT ALL, but multiple actors have insisted that their sexuality was a very private matter while they were playing queer roles and came out as straight as soon as their show was over and that feels like exploitation. One of the actors on How To Get Away With Murder did that and later apologized calling his stance "unhelpful in the fight for equality."

It's a nuanced conversation that no one wants to have anymore because some myopic teens weaponized the fight for equality against one of our own when he was only 18.

Operating under the assumption that season 3 isn't the last season, I'd be surprised if the uni stuff is mentioned in any episode other than the last one of the season. It's less of a storyline in itself and more of the beginning of one. I imagine it'll be the rough equivalent of the last 10 minutes or so of season 2. Uni visits plus the conversation Nick and Charlie have after they have sex both set up the conflict between Nick and Charlie for season 4.

It feels like Netflix got complacent after the show blew up after the first season given that they didn’t stunt cast any of the new parent roles or Farouk in the second season, but stunt casting for Geoff would be a great way to inject some new energy into the show going into the third season.

I think there are certain things with their social media we should avoid all together. For instance, when someone discovered Kit followed someone from his finsta and vice versa, investigated, concluded she was likely hooking up with a costar on one of his projects, and decided to avoid the twitter losers being weird they wouldn’t post her name. That made total sense to me. If someone comes across a hot guy who follows joes finsta and vice versa, think we should do the same. Two, Charlie’s storyline this season is as you said yourself extremely sensitive and important. It being expedited so they can fit in plot points that happen fully six months after he gets home from the hospital is upsetting, and there’s no need, especially when the Nick storyline is frankly pretty shallow and could wait. To use someone else’s example, if the Nick storyline was him getting Homophobia in rugby and questioning his place , I think people would still be frustrated charlie couldn’t have the main storyline for a season but be less heated. But when the plot is literally “what uni should I pick” — sorry, not riveting at the best of times, actually extremely infuriating when it comes at the trade off of Charlie’s time.

Three, the uni storyline was going to happen ANYWAY in s4. WhTs annoying people is it can’t just wait? She has to shoehorn in a Nick storyline too fast instead of just letting Charlie be the lead and then wrapping this up in s4?

They are both charming and talented actors and I look forward to seeing them in other projects with romantic partners (hello Kit and Manu) but there is a difference between great acting and good chemistry and what the boys have

Part of me wonders if we'll see more of Harry since she needs to get to the point where Nick and Charlie get along with him in the novella. Maybe more stuff between Charlie and his mom, but I'm not sure if Alice considers Charlie's mom allowing him to sleep over at Nick's as enough progress shown.

Tobie, unsure, but wouldn’t be surprised if he came with joe to NY in December

I will say, regarding American-based screen stuff in particular for Joe and Kit, I’ve been hearing that projects are still getting canceled and postponed very, very close to the projected production start dates because of the strikes. A bunch of scheduling clashes are derailing productions and those scheduling conflicts are not strictly limited to actors. If the studios even want to recast the actors they can’t because actors can’t audition during the strike. Projects are being written off completely because it’s easier. Basically, any stage stuff they may have booked is the safest bet right now in terms of actually happening.

R591 I've been trying to temper my expectations regarding Rapture because of this. Right now, I'm extremely pleased that Kit auditioned for and got an A24 lead. If the movie doesn't end up happening because of the strike, I'm glad that he's on A24's radar.

Regarding Marvel, I read that Vision Quest was removed from the WGA database as soon as that strike ended and that Joanna Robinson said that she'd heard that it was canceled, so I'm really curious as to what they're doing with the YA, especially after The Marvel's post-credit scene. I know one of the leakers said they're shooting a YA project next year, but I keep wondering about the YA characters they haven't introduced yet. Also, what happened with the rumored Wiccan project? Would that be before or after a YA team-up?

R595 my guess from that and what others have said, and marvels restructuring overall, is less that VisionQuest changed and more that they might axe it in favour of moving up Childrens Crusade, which makes sense. Vision isn’t like Wanda or even agatha and can’t really helm a project. I believe the initial reports were that the show would include Viv, who isn’t a typical YA and thus isn’t pivotal, and Tommy as one of her schoolmates. If they just cut vision quest or make it a small part of the plot, with the primary plot being wiccan finding his brother, it would make sense, and I can see them introducing hulkling in the last episode or something.

R597 A24 is beholden to SAG, they've had to apply for waivers for all of their projects. What R591 mentioned about conflicts also rings true. Think about Kit. if the SAG strike goes on long enough, he might have to drop out because of Henry IV. I would think the director also has other things that could conflict.
