Yes, I get that you're assuming the tales about him & Jon having an open relationship were legit – I'm admittedly less so – but OTOH they'd already been together for 7-8 years when Ronan became a national figure, plus by necessity his job had him working insane hours & routinely spending a shitload of time in NYC & Washington, all while Jon was in L.A. Under those conditions, I can believe it, but today? To state the obvious, Ronan's schedule is significantly less packed nowadays.

All that said, I'd be truly amazed if Ronan somehow had a bunch of NYC fuckbuddies who have spilled ZERO secrets about their involvement while he was still with Jon. Another admittedly unusual twist: "Catch and Kill" was in significant part about Ronan being surveilled by Black Cube, the Israeli "security firm" (more like blackmail compiler) hired by Harvey Weinstein to bring him down. If he was fucking random hookups at the time, how did this NOT make it into any published reports? (Not in The New Yorker, obviously, but the NY Post was still in Harvey's back pocket at the time.)

R172 …well…to be fair I agree the question of who wanted to be open and under what conditions is very dicey in this situation. You make a persuasive argument.

All I have to go on really is that there was a guy on here who said he hooked up with Ronan and it sounded like a convincing story. He said Ronan said: a) he & Jon had sex constantly b) they were open but did not share extracurricular partners c) they didn’t hook up with others in the home.

All of that sounded believable to me but whether these rules were established or pushed by Ronan or Jon…I really couldn’t say.

I can say it seemed like Jon dumped Ronan and Ronan seemed devastated. Beyond that…who knows.

The point that Harvey would have found and used any weakness (in the eyes of the mainstream media, anyway) of Ronan’s is well taken. That is part of why the “Ronan has been secretly hoeing coast to coast for the past decade” narrative never really made sense.

I do think Jon probably cheated or had an emotional affair or something though because Ronan made a big point of having a post-breakup birthday party he actually titled “Ronan’s Revenge” (lol) where he dressed as Princess Diana…I was like, this is a little obvious. Petty. But as people have said he was very young when he got into that relationship, he might have felt a way about it.

Not sure about cheating, but Lovett could have gotten cold feet about the marriage. I listened to his podcast on and off and he'd get pissy when anyone asked when it was happening. He always had an excuse. I figured they wouldn't last once the engagement went on forever.

Lovett seemed kind of controlling. This phase Ronan is in now of showing off his body on Insta and constantly vacationing and getting terrible hipster haircuts indicates someone who felt he was let out of a cage.

I am somewhat intrigued about his mystery man boyfriend who appears to have no job and nothing else to do but accompany Ronan around the globe all the time. Is he a rich trust fund baby or is Ronan just paying for everything?
