Charlie doesn’t have much of a personality outside of Nick (I would argue that Nick also doesn’t). Ben is a struggling kid and Alice did wrote him as a one dimensional villain. The intimacy is weird in the show at times (why was Nick wearing a sweater to bed when they were in Paris?). I’m surprised so many don’t like anything about the article.

I say as a massive joe stan who wants him at everything, his time in fashion will come, and pretty soon. Most of the disparity between him and Kit is pretty unfair (fan treatment, following numbers, how much more Netflix posts Kit, critics acting like Kit is way stronger than him, stuff like that) but the fashion element is one that makes more sense to me. Kit was in England for a year working steadily with one designer, building a fantastic relationship and friendship and really promoting his brands well, and attending every show of his for two brands (JW Anderson and Loewe). Joe being in Atlanta of course makes sense but he was working like a dog out there right after getting off of HS S2 and couldn’t go to anything besides one McQueen show for almost a year. Netflix has set Keeping Faith and The Light in the Hall helmer Andy Newbery as lead director for its third run of breakout UK original Heartstopper, as production gets under way.

Last year, the streamer comitted to a double recommission of the See-Saw Films show, based on the bestselling LGBTQ+ graphic novel series by Alice Oseman, but has been tight-lipped about when filming would commence.

Now Broadcast understands that shooting is underway for its eight-episode run, with Newbery taking over as lead director.
