I think it’s more likely that Alice doesn’t spend a lot of time actually engaging with Charlie’s mental health issues through his perspective because she doesn’t want to be “triggering” that that the plot points are deferred altogether. I sadly wouldn’t be surprised if we get a lot more tell don’t show of Charlie going “I’m struggling with X” and nick emotionally reacting than actually showing Charlie struggling, but do think they’ll likely cover the hospitalization this season. Could be wrong but that’s my guess
